I went 10/15/21 for my first body waxing. I booked with Myna and she was so professional and descriptive of her process. She explained everything thoroughly and we talked like friends! She made me feel very comfortable and I definitely recommend her to anyone who is new to body waxing! Will definitely go back.

I went today for an eyebrow wax before a weekend getaway. One eyebrow a third of the hair was removed. My eyebrows are completely uneven. I also was pinched/cut when she was tweezing. When she showed me in the mirror, I said my eyebrows are uneven and the comment from the wax specialist was I had no hair there to begin with, which is completely untrue! Then she just left the room! So unprofessional! She was training a new wax specialist which is even scarier! A long with the fact that she ran out of the room, she left me with the trainee which was completely awkward. I called to tell them when I got home about my experience and how badly my eyebrows look and that I was cut and they basically just apologized and said they would make a note of it. Of course I purchased the year package, so I hope if I go to a different EWC I will have a better experience, because my previous two other visits were fine.

The environment is clean and inviting. They have a great selection of retail merchandise to complement the services. I had the pleasure of working with Michelle. AMAZING is an understatement. She was welcoming, inviting, knowledgeable and eased all of my fears as it was my first ever wax. I will definitely be returning.

I made an appointment with Michelle and she was awesome! From the minute you walk into the facility you notice how clean the place is, the staff is super friendly and they are on time with your appointment. I’m currently pregnant and Michelle made sure to have me feeling comfortable I told her how nervous I was and she was super sweet, gentle and had great convo so it distracted me. Waxing hurts but it didn’t hurt as much I’ve had real bad experiences before, I am definitely going back to her and referring everyone I know to get waxed with her. Michelle your awesome thank you !

My 1st experience wasnt very pleasant So I didnt return. My regular wax lady was on vacation So I decided to go back and try them again. My 2nd experience with Mina was SO GREAT! She was fast and efficient! Wont see another esthetician moving forward besides her . She was great! I was comfortable and she was educational about products.

I went for a Brazilian way and underarm wax. It was my first time there and I had Nicole. She was incredible! Super nice and we talked the whole time. She also managed to wax me without much pain at all. It’s of course not the most pleasant feeling to be waxed but it wasn’t painful like I’ve experienced at other wax places. Can’t wait to go back in a couple of weeks!

I never write reviews but I went here for the first time today and had an amazing experience! First, their hours of operation are great and convenient. They’re even open on Sundays. Second, they make their own wax and my Brazilian was not painful at all! I was shocked because I’ve gotten Brazilians at several places and it’s always so painful. I went to Laura and she was great! She made me feel comfortable and was very professional. The assistant manager at the front desk was also very nice. I highly recommend this place!

I went for a brazilian and underarm wax with Amy. She did an amazing job! She does not have a hard hand like other people I have experienced in the past. She is very meticulous about getting all of the hair off and gives great advice on skin care!

The two ladies at the front desk were pleasant. My appointment was with Michelle, for a Brazilian wax. I expected better results.. it seemed to be a little rushed. Slight pain, to be expected..price point was fine. I even left her. $5.00 tip.. once home and the dust settled.. lol.. I noticed she left a lot of hair on the bottom. (Rushed) I called immediately to have this problem fixed. I was told I have 5 days to come back for a touch-up. I just wish it was done right the first time. I will give them another try, with a different lady before I write them completely off.

I know that European Wax Center is well known so I wasnt worried about trying this location. My normal wax place was closed. I went in for a Brazilian Wax and was left scarred both physically and mentally. My skin was torn but the girl that waxed it tried to say I was too sensitive. Although I had a painful experience the manager on site was nice enough to help me as well as follow up to make sure I was good.I was upset with the professionalism of the waxer. She did not tell me the extent of my injury nor did she notify her manager about what happened. She tried to stop the bleeding and sent me on my way with a piece of tissue to cover the wound.Overall the staff in the front was nice, the place is clean, im pretty sure my experience was one in million but it still shouldnt have happened.

I was super nervous to get waxed as it was my first time but my waxer was very understanding, sweet, kind and fast!!!If youre nervous, DONT BE! Its so worth it I am hairless i havent shaved in weeks and not to mention my boyfriend is in LOVE. Pain experience was a 4 out of 10 for me!I went in there wanting a brazillian, underarms, legs and eyebrows done alot for my first time I thought but it wasnt bad what so ever. Worst part for me was getting the brazillian done. As that is to be expected. But ladies... it wasnt bad at all as long as your relaxed. I think a shot from the doctor hurts more!!!Now this is gonna be a long review I wanna go over the whole process because I looked online for the experience and didnt find muchWhich made me slightly nervous as I like to know what Im getting into.Prep at home!Obviously the hardest part about waxing is letting your hair grow for 2 to 3 weeks. You need a 1/4 of an inch of hair growth but no longer than 1/2 inch. If you think your hair is too long. Take some trimmers with a 1/4 inch attachment and trim your hair.Day before your appointment exfoliate anything that your getting waxed. And moisturize. I used Doctor teals bath salts and mixed it with my favorite moisturizing body wash to rub on my legs pits and my kitty.The day of you should shower and just use a light body wash to be fresh and clean before your appointment. Hot showing will also loosen the hair follicles.I recommend some numbing creme i used (salonpas 4% lidocaine plus 10% benzyl alcohol) on my pits and my kitty. But be careful because it can irritate mucus membranes (like your kitty) It really takes the edge of. I applied it right after the shower before I left and it took me about 30 minutes to get from home to the wax center.Get there on time as they will reschedule you if you are 9 minutes late.The place is very clean and its an all woman center so I felt very comfortable.Your waxer takes you to the room and she started off by asking what I wanted. I explained to her that it was my first time. I was nervous. She laughed told me I was gonna be fine and suggested starting easy with my brows, which she did quickly and painlessly! What I really enjoyed is I felt 0 pressure moving on as she asked me after almost every wax how are you doing? Do you want to continue? Is the wax too hot? Was that too painful? And after each session she asked if I wanted to move on to the next or if I was done. Of course I persisted on.We moved on to my pits which were shockingly painless! I felt so confident as it pulls all the hair out so you dont see any of the nasty black stubs you see even after shaving. I felt beautiful.Feeling excited we moved onto the brazillian and she talked me through the whole thing. She handled it very well and I didnt feel uncomfortable what so ever. After every wax she asked if I was okay and when we got to the lips (the worst part) she did some breathing techniques with me and it went by like a breeze!!! No flinching or screaming or crying like I was imagining.We did my legs which were a breeze and she applied an anti ingrown hair serum which I ended up buying a bottle of after as it really calmed my skin.I thanked her and promised to be back in a month to get my next wax as its definitely gonna be a new part of my life!!!!I paid left her a nice tip booked my next appointment and walked out in 0 pain and drove home with a smile on my face.She left a few hairs behind but nothing crazy like, I could count them. I imagine she left some so she wouldnt be too invasive having to go back in with alot of clean up strips.Thanks for reading my review!! Remember Exfoliate! Numbing creme! Be calm and just breath! And buy the ingrown serum afterwards !!! Hope your experience is as good as mine!

Amy, as well as all the staff here, are very friendly, knowledgeable, pleasant and professional. I originally came here because I was new to the area, but I didnt know what to expect. The atmosphere is warm and inviting with wonderful people who are excellent at what they do. Their products are services are incredible. After every visit I feel fresh and beautiful without having felt any pain or discomfort during my appointment. They are awesome and their prices are fair.

European Wax is the most Immaculate professional waxing facility I ever seen. when I got there Im not going to lie I was so scared waiting on my name to be called . The first person that greeted me was Misty the manager of European Wax when I say Misty is the most beautiful lady inside and out she has a super positive vibe and energy about her she has so much knowledge about the company and its products that they carry what was so great was Misty made me feel comfortable from the time I waited to the time I went in the back she assured me that everything was okay that it was not what I was thinking in my head and that her girls are the best and she was not overrated because those girls are the best. I also got to meet a receptionist by the name of Liz is another sweet beautiful young lady very professional Liz was so sweet she even kept my daughter company while I went in the back. She(Liz) had a beautiful energy and Vibe about her also. Then my name was called by young lady name and Gena is so sweet so beautiful so professional has lot of knowledge in what she does and also lots of knowledge on the products Gena reminds me of a mother she make sure she take care of whoever she has she made me feel so comfortable I didnt feel any pain it was so fast before I knew it I was up and out. Hands down Gina is the best if youre looking for a place to get wax doesnt matter what youre looking for or even if you just looking for some product European Wax is the way to go this place is hands-down the best they have the most beautiful ladies inside and out that works there its like a home away from home even if its your first time its like you already know them I will recommend this place any day and if youre looking for great person ask for Gena Gena is her name you know how they say youre the man Gena the man LOL. I went yesterday to get my first Brazilian wax with Gena & she is such a sweetheart!! She explained how the procedure went & showed me a breathing technique for when she was going to pull the wax it hurt but it really wasnt as bad as I thought it was going to be I already made my appointment for next month with Gena! :) The place was clean & Megan was also very nice when I came to check in & when I went to pay I would definitely recommend European wax center I had a great experience there & Im glad I went!! :)

For my waxing experience, I had Michelle who was training under Lauren. Both honestly knew I was nervous about my first big waxing experience but they made me feel so comfortable. Place is nice and well maintained...however, every time my daughter has an appt. for whatever time, it is NEVER on time!! Appts are made bcz we schedule our time to do other things. Sitting in yr lobby til 10:20 when my daughters appt. is at 9:45 is totally ridiculous and a lack of respect for my time. If we were late, my daughters would have been bumped. How is this acceptable?!?

I’ll be honest, I was a little nervous to get a bikini wax after pervious experiences. However, as soon as I walked into the door to the EWC in Meriden, I felt instantly comfortable. All of the staff are amazing, especially the waxer I first had. Gianna is an absolute dream!!! When I say this, I mean it: I will only go to Gianna for a Brazilian when I am in Connecticut! She is such an amazing person and waxer! I 100% recommend going to this location and requesting her as your waxer! (You will not regret it!!!)
