My first experience dates back to 2017. I’ve gone in the store window shopping (for a solid year before one purchase) and received the same attention as if I were buying that day. These guys are all patient, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I read the negative reviews. An experienced person knows you can’t return a firearm. Anywhere. Duh. Electronics always have stringent return policies even at big box stores. Most of the complaints I saw were from people not taking responsibility for their own knowledge and information. They need babysitters. I don’t want them next to me on a range! This is a GREAT store with GREAT service. Better than I’ve had anywhere else, which is why they get my return business.

Love the selection of guns. But was so disappointed with customer service. I was standing at the glass case waiting to be help but all I got very rudely was maam you need to get off the phone. I try and read every signs posted on the doors so I can abide by their rules. I stayed in the store a couple more mins to see if I was being unreasonable. Still no help I left. I will find somewhere else to spend my money.Good customer service is a plus when spending my hard earned money.So that you know the associate never explained anything to me about a phone policy. This was my first time visiting the store. So hopefully who ever visit and make a purchase get better treatment.

Went in yesterday to find a holster & a extended mag for my 9mm. Nobody ever asked if I needed help. But any question I asked was answered quick & precise I was able to find a magazine & some bullets I needed but no holster for my sub compact. Great inventory. Knowledgeable staff. Will do more business. Hire a greeter or something those dudes in there do not speak y’all will miss alot of money with those attitudes with new customers alot of ppl are soft these days. Anywho great store will be back.

I bought 4 of the polymer magazines about 6 year ago and all of them were terrible. I reached out to them about the problems I was having. They told me that they had a bad batch go through and and for me to take a picture of them and they would take care of it. I hate to say bad things about a persons business but the replacement magazines I was sent were as bad if not worse than the first batch. Im just a old East Tennessee factory working hillbilly who takes what little bit of spare money when I have it and try to build a gun or two which happens to be a hobby passed down from my father who spent 26 years and 3 wars in the military and it just makes me sad that I cant enjoy one of the only projects that we had in common before he passed away because I cant depend on a business to uphold on their part of a deal which they swear to stand behind.

Horrible service. If you buy from here please make sure all receipts they give you are detailed and accurate. They do not keep records. If they started keeping records I’m willing to bet it is not accurate. I wanted to get a refund for the a 9mm I bought with an attachment and some rounds. The receipt they gave me showed half of my actual purchase price and it did not include the attachment or the rounds. They were more than happy to charge me for it though. I only got half of what I spent as a refund due to lack of record keeping and inaccurate receipts. Be careful when purchasing from here. Double check everything and do not rely on them to keep track of anything.I never received the firearm due to issues with FBI not being able to get legible fingerprints for my background check. I wanted a refund for a gun I never received but when I asked about it they told me it was already sold.

I went done to my local gun show and the folks from “The Gun Zone” were there with a masssive inventory of weapons! I ended up snagging myself a AR that I’ve been wanting for MONTHS but everyplace always has them out of stock! Definitely will continue to use them for my future firearms purchases.

My favorite gun shop and indoor range! I have purchased 3 Desert Eagles from them and had many of my other weapons serviced by them and the quality of service is unmatched!

Been to this place 4 different times and out of the four I had two bad experiences. Not planning on going back. If anyone expect good customer service here, then I suggest to look somewhere else because you will not find it here.

Great staff! Great selection of firearms! Smooth experience everytime I go to The Gun Zone. Did my carry license class through them which is even better now since you can get your prints done there as well. Right along with getting FFL transfers. Now if only they sold silencers. Then you get the call from Holly saying your Form 4 is ready for pickup. LOL

They had the gun I was looking for but it was missing a couple screws to mount the sight ... they told me I could call and get the screws ...Im the customer and dont work for you I should be chasing down parts for a brand new gun and especially for free the gun is missing something should have offered a discount ... nothing ... not good service at all and it was an hard to get help in the first place ... however they are quick to ram a mask down your throat ... but couldnt help me quickly in any other area ... I see the review and wise Crack answer above from Garrett ... thats not professional either ...

Sorry. Been in here a few times over the past 12 years. Always had a decent selection. However, the NO MASK, NO SERVICE, NO EXCEPTIONS sign on the door made me not even turn my truck engine off. Backed out went somewhere else. If you are going to follow Fauci & Biden advice, Ill spend my money at Rays or another shop. Been to others in the area that didnt demand a mask. One would think a gun shop in TX would know their customer base better. Most dont play along with the fear & social compliance experiment. So until then....

Excellent people, excellent range. These guys and gals treat you like friends every time you go in. They have great prices, and very helpful/knowledgeable staff. From firearms to ammo and cleaning equipment to instruction, they can and will help you with anything you need in the 2A department.

Their store policy on returns are unusually strict. I was trying to get an optic returned due to it not being the correct optic I wanted. they charge a 20 percent restocking fee. Nobody came out to explain why I could not return the optic. all they said was they were not gonna budge on a return.

This is a terrific range and gun store. Staff is very knowledgable and efficient. Gun selection best in town and ammunition, although shortages are here, are generally available for use in the range. They do a GREAT job of allocating ammunition so its available for those wanting to practice in the range rather than letting a few people buy it all just to hoard it at home. Highly recommend this range and store!!

Visited for some range time with a newbie, had been a while since I had visited here. The gentleman who helped us knew I had not visited in a long long time and that I had a first timer with me. I wish we had been informed that the range would be shut down 20 minutes before closing. So after waiting 15 or so minutes after arriving for them to finish up with the person in front of us and the range closing 20 minutes before 7 i basically paid $40 for 40 minutes of range time. A little frustrating, however the range was very clean and the people were nice.In Response, Not positive on the check in time there. Regardless, the announcement that the range was closed was made at 6:40 because I looked at my phone. We fired 1 more shot and another announcement was made that the range was now closed and to not fire any more shots. Not sure who was working but you might review this in the morning. I know we came in pretty close to closing time but felt like we had almost an hour and a half to be told the range was closed 20 minutes earlier than we expected was discouraging. Anyhow, you take care as well.

If you want to learn how to shoot and develop the correct habits for safety and the accuracy needed for self-defense, the Gun Zone is for you! The class tutelage under Mr. Jerry Johnson is invaluable to learn this skillset. Plus, he makes the class so much fun!We could have spent the whole day training with him and absolutely will be booking more classes.

Dont bother with this location checked website and waiver before I left and there are hidden rules that should be clearly stated. After waiting 30 min to be called I was turned around about there shoe policy that is not on there website nor the waiver.

Made my first gun purchase here, waited forever holding a number only to see other customers without a number getting helped, went home to research my firearm only to realize I had been charged over $200 more than the actual value (no ones fault but my own). But this establishment lacks integrity from customers skipping other customers with numbers just because they know each other, to knowingly and willingly ripping someone off, what happened to ppl at the gun store helping you find what’s best for you versus what is best for their pockets . Purchased a gun, attended a CHL class with Jerry Johnson and he did an awesome job. Hes very professional, knowledgeable of his craft and personable. He and his wife made the class very enjoyable. I highly recommend his class for all.

My 1st visit was in Dec 2020 with my father (got his chl with y’all), it was my 1st ever gun shop visit, looking around b/c it was like toys r us for adults. even though it was lil busy at the time but I understand due to my customer service experience from the Hut. Returned again that same day to buy some pepper sprays for my lil bro & his coworkers as Christmas presents. Sure love to go back to apply for chl classes & practice at the range

During my experience at the gun zone I went in to purchase my first gun but was unable to due to the lack of proper customer service. I read the reviews and did not take heed to the negative reviews but I should have. The workers are flat out rude and the manager is self centered and only cares about his store and not the customers and their complaints. As I went back to read the reviews I noticed that the manager goes back to negative reviews and reviews as a fake profile. In the picture posted below you can see the manager replied to a previous customers negative review in an attempt to be another customer who was satisfied. This is poor managment and would NEVER recommend this gun shop. 0/5 star review - please consider another gun shop before ever coming here and spending money.

I just got into guns recently so I’m new to the experience of buying one. I purchased one from this place before and a lady helped me who was very helpful and had tattoos. My second time though, I wasn’t as fortunate. I came in to get help and the service I received made me feel unwanted. There was a gentleman around 5’9 with a beard who initially was suppose to help me but as soon as I asked to purchase a gun that’s not displayed I received an attitude and he just walked away from me. After not being assisted for 15 minutes another gentleman around 6’2 with tattoos approached me asking what I needed. Once I asked him the same thing he became sarcastic and walked away as well. I asked because the displayed gun looked blemished. The question was simple yet they made my experience very difficult and uncomfortable. The two were very arrogant and seemed as if they didn’t understand the importance of building trust with clients within a business. Terrible.

They have the WORST customer service I’ve ever encountered. They treat their customers as if they are doing you a favor. Rude, non knowledge of the products and overall a-holes. I will NOT spend money with this business.

Make sure you get all parts you were promised before you purchase your firearm. I purchased an ar15 was told they could not find the rails but would order them from Ruger first thing Tuesday morning. After 2 months of going back and forth, and several trips to talk to the sales man in person. I get my rails they are 2 inches long, they drilled them to fit the rifle and just screwed them on. I was told i would be receiving Ruger rails and got the exact opposite. This place is a joke.

Rudy is great! I brought my rifle in to have the barrel threaded, muzzle brake put on, and scope mounted and my experience was awesome. I received multiple phone calls from him updating me on where he was at with it which was great. The muzzle brake that he originally recommended was backordered (bummer but it happens), but rather than buying a lesser product and throwing it on, he called me and explained the situation, gave me a couple alternative options, but also gave me his recommendations as if it were his gun. I appreciate that they were looking out for the customers interests rather than just trying to move as many guns in and out as they could.. and I was happy to wait the extra time for a better product. The Smith work was exceptional as well. He could’ve just bought a brake and installed it as is, but he shaved the brake down to match the diameter of the barrel and coated it to match the finish of the barrel and let me tell you.. it matches perfectly and looks like it came straight from the manufacturer.Overall it was a great experience, and I appreciate the attention to detail and quality work that I received. I highly recommend using him for any gunsmith work that you may need!

Great staff, very helpful. DJ even sighted in my rifle free of charge for the love of the hobby. The range is very simple, approx 20 minute interval cease fires to walk down range and set a new target. All paper targets 25,50,100, and clay shooting ranges for shotguns. 5 stars if there were other shooting options.

Update: Just got the SKS back. The gun smith rabbit eared the front sights and ground down the bayonet lug and rod holder. Looks great. Did a great job. Worth every penny.However, some of the face book groups on SKS felt I defiled it. End of the day, it turned out great. No regret. Some people are just opinionated.Very helpful gun shop. Love the gun range, ammo selection and gun selection. Never had a bad experience there.

I bought a gun from The Gun Zone at a gun show. Took it to the range and it was not what I was hoping for. Took it back to the store to see if I could arrange a trade for a different gun. I knew I was going to lose money on a trade in but I was hoping for a good deal on a new gun since I was still buying from The Gun Zone and my used one was still in great shape. Short version: I was treated fairly and walked out the door as a satisfied customer with a new gun. Thank you.

We waited over 1 hour in line outside to find out they skipped over several people and help people that just walked in.The one guy who’s name I belive was David was rude and looked as if he never helped a customer a day in his life.Went to another range up the road and got great service without attitude or issue.I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HORRIBLE PLACE WHERE THEY ALL LOOK SHELL SHOCKED AT ANY QUESTION THAT DOES NOT HAVE TO DO WITH “how much is this gun?”.

I have bought 3 guns in the last 4 years from these folks. It’s always a pleasure! Price is right, selection is good and the staff is genuine, friendly and knowledgeable. The process is always quick from background check to checkout. There’s simply no need to go anywhere else in the Dallas area. I’ll always be back as often as my budget allows.

I’ve been a pretty active member here for a few years, I’ve purchased 3 firearms here and some accessories. I bought a nice light for my Sig 320 which they installed. Steve, Greg and Jack are usually the ones that help me but everyone I’ve had contact with has always been helpful, respectful and engaging. I like doing business with people like this! I also recently had a problem with a gun I purchased from them and instead of making me ship it back to the manufacturer Gun Zone was able in this case to resolve the issue.I know that they did NOT have to help me...they did anyway! So, 5 stars...! One more thing to notice, every other customer that walks in while I’m there is met with the same great service and respect....sorry, but there are lots of “gun snobs” out there...they just don’t work here! Everyone here has always been helpful and friendly..So, yeah..you may find the same firearm online and save a little cash...but that savings is swallowed up by service at this local gun store....if I had purchased one of my guns cheaper online and had any issue...there would have been a long delay and no savings...we might need toquit obsessing over $40-$50 and go support this local store and enjoy the relationship that far outweighs savings a little cash...✌️👍

I took my gun in for sight replacement. I didnt have any luck finding them at local big box stores or on line. The parts were ordered and installed in half the time quoted. The first conversation I had with the gun smith went well. He even asked when I needed the gun. The gun smith called me to tell me the gun was ready and was very professional. He answered any and all questions I had. Overall great job and experience that exceeded my explanations.

The Gun Zone is my new favorite place. The staff was polite and very attentive. Their knowledge of products, and willingness help was very appreciated. Ive been in other stores where the staff never acknowledged my presence after 20min of me entering the store. When I enter a gun store,my intent is to buy something. Im not a window shopping kind of guy. The staff made me feel as if we were lifelong friends. My experience couldnt been any better,especially since it was my Birthday. Gun Zone is my new spot.

Was one of my favorite stops when I would visit DFW. Them requiring a mask or no service is not Constitutional and I will no longer support a business that complies with liberal demands. My rights do not end with your fears!

AMAZING experience! I took my daughter in to purchase her first hand gun. Steve was very patient, explained everything so well and took his time. We will definitely be going back.

My husband and I have been here a few times and always a great experience. I love talking to the lady as she gives great shooting tips and helped me narrow down carry options. Everyone who has helped us has been great, this is our favorite gun store in DFW.

Employees are most friendly and know their stuff. Ive bought firearms there and enjoy the gun range. Never had a bad experience. Dennis always seems to have a good story to tell you for a laugh. Gun prices are reasonable and in line or better than other close by shop.

I hadn’t shot an gun in over a decade and these guys were real helpful with getting me set up. I really appreciated the patient and knowledge I encountered. I will be back for more practice and supplies.

Over priced ammunition, charge $50 for a box of 50 round 9mm. Meanwhile I went to another place and bought the same brand for 14 dollars.

The best gun store. Selection service range prices however Holly is my favorite. She really knows the gun info!!!! Do not mistake this as the the one with the yellow billboard sign with the girl siloutte on it. That place is a joke!!!! And I am a big buying customer regularly.

Unfortunately, I have never been to their physical location, but I found them at the Premier Gun Show in Houston. They had a MASSIVE selection of firearms, and out of all the vendors there (30+), they were the only ones who carried the piece I was looking for, the CZ Scorpion. The two gentlemen I spoke with were very polite and helpful, and I really wish I got their names to give them credit. One was a black gentleman and one was white, both a little heavy set, no offense intended. The checkout was very satisfying as well. Even though it seemed like they were the only vendor at the event to have a waiting line for purchases (they acquired far more business than others), they took care of customers rather quickly. I was 6th in line I believe and was walking away with my newest baby in half an hour. Thats nothing at all to complain about. The two ladies there who were handling the transactions were very polite and on point as well. Unfortunately again, I didnt get their names, but they were cute ;-) Im basing this review solely on my experience with them at the gun show, again not at their actual store. But from my interactions with them they will DEFINATELY be my first stop if I ever see them at a gun show again, or on the off chance that I will ever be around Mesquite. Highly recommended for all the right reasons.

My wife and just spent 2 hours at the range and we had a blast (no pun intended) the staff is friendly, knowledgable and willing to answer any questions. This is my new gun store, and speaking of guns they have a nice big collection of handguns and long guns. If youre looking for they probably have it. Bored, grab your guns and ammo and go to the range, if you dont have one they have a nice selection to choose from, unfortunately no desert eagle 50. Highly recommend this store.

Big thanks to Rudy! Rudy is the gun smith they have on staff. I called with a timely need before I flew out of state. Someone else had told me that i needed a new firing pin due to some misfires on my hand gun and that i would need to order parts online and it would take weeks to get everything in place. But Rudy was able to get it shooting like new without ordering parts turns out i had a bad spring and needed a deep cleaning and the cost was a lot LESS than what i had been quoted by another company. Nonetheless Rudy delivered 3 days before my deadline and I couldn’t be more satisfied. Thanks again these guys know there stuff!

Took my LTC class here and that was great. Instructor was funny and very helpful, as was his wife. Staff is good. Not the most enthusiastic bunch, but still pretty helpful. I would say I think the booths need some upgrading, though. Looking a bit worn and torn. Otherwise my experiences here have been satisfactory.

Will not be returning to this place. The only reason we ever went there was to deal with Rudy who is our gunsmith but after my last encounter with the awful lady who works there I will not come back. I came in to drop off my husbands gun to have some work done on it by Rudy and they ignored me for about 6 mins and then i heard Holly tell her coworker to go clear the little girls gun who is standing at the counter. Now mind you Im a grown woman but not a huge deal breaker. Her attitude the entire time I was there was horrendous. I left and about 30 mins later my husband calls and tells me its ready to be picked up. I had told my husband about the incident and he said something to Rudy which in return got back to her. I came back in to pick it up and she confronts me about what I said to my husband and calls me a liar and the entire time Im waiting for my gun she is making snarky little comments. Rudy does absolutely great work and I recommend him to anyone who needs a gunsmith but I absolutely do not recommend The Gun Zone to anyone who is looking for decent customer service. The way I was treated is certainly not how you treat paying guests. My husband and I are extremely disgusted!!

This was my first gun store experience and I can only hope the next one is just as good. Seen the Gun Zone facility off the freeway for a while and was always curious to how it looked inside. After deciding that I finally wanted to buy a rifle I walked in with very limited knowledge and asked the friendly worker there to give me advise or words of wisdom he could offer me. I was actually surprised that he wasnt pressuring a sale on me just giving me solid knowledge and tips to look for in guns. To my knowledge this is the only place that has .22 lr ammo but kinda expensive 25$ for a 50 pack.

I bought a Smith & Wesson sd9 the magazine are defective. I went to a gun range it was jamming on me by the second bullet

The guns in particular I looked were all overpriced by about 50-75 dollars guess thats why they were in stock, had never been to the store till now only seen them at gunshow wont be going back.
