Pricey but not too bad. Service was horrible very rude people. There are some things that are there that are not all over which is noce.

The store has received a nice remodel. The location looks so much better and easier to find what you are looking for especially when you can’t find anyone to help you as seen in photos. The store was really clean even the restroom however once again items in walk ways “trip hazards” could have been picked up but I guess at 4pm on a Monday the employees must have been at lunch lol. Even trying to check out people were M-I-A Over all I found what I was looking for at a average price and was happy for that. I would return to this location.

Dont show up within the last hour before close if you want help. Its hard to find someone & once you do they cant help. So they page someone else to help and that person never showed up. But that person did leave their employee scanner randomly laying on a box of roller skates. After 16 minutes of waiting the guy in the shoe department helped me. Thank you Andrew for telling me the price of the item that was not priced on the shelf. Shame on whoever works in the department with scooters. And feel lucky I found the scanner & not someone else.All-together, the store is nice. Just need better staffing at close. And a more responsible person in the Scooter section on March 30, 2021 around 9pm.

Staff was extremely nice and helpful. The store doesnt carry much inventory for bicycling.

Academy Sports does not do very well keeping fishing supplies in stock. Employees are less than helpful. If you are looking for fishing supplies go to Puglias, not too much farther down the road. Puglias knows how to keep stocked. They also have a MUCH better selection!!!! Employees are very helpful

Good selection of somewhat hard to find items. Some areas a little light on stock.In all fairness, it was a few days before the 4th of July and I was looking for the same stuff everyone else was.

They are having an awesome $50 sale on Nikes in the Womens department I almost bought 8 pair for myself but its back to school time so nothing for me😒.

Everytime I come here the service just seems like it gets worse and worse. Really frustrating when employees dont actually listen to your question and just talk over you. Finding it harder and harder to drive 30 minutes for this level of customer service.

This store is one of the largest Academy stores I have been in. It has a very good range of sports and outdoor equipment and clothing for every activity I can think of.They never seem to have enough staff serving at the checkout desks and there is always a wait to pay. The staff are not quite as friendly and attentive as I would expect. They always look bored and act as if it is a problem to serve you.However, the prices are very cheap, so I will continue to purchase my sports gear here.

I went to Academy to buy a couple pair of Levi jeans and couldnt find size 34 x 32 in any of the styles that I like...Im going to take my business somewhere else because I need them soon.

I dont remember his name, but the long beard ginger that works the gun counter is probably the most enthusiastic person at the firearms counter to buy from. The other clerks seem much less interested, and kind of annoyed at most of the patrons just having a look. But joy buying and talking about guns with the first guy, definitely steered me right into the rifle I wanted and in my budget.

Visited with a friend to search for some padded gloves, the free weights selection was low. Assuming low/out of stock due to Covid-19.

This was the most annoying shopping experience of my life. It shouldn’t take 4 hours to complete a gun pick up but it did here. The steps weren’t told to me beforehand. If they were, I would have left and came back. I got to hear all about the female gun clerk’s escapades with a firefighter. Then when it was time to bring my gun to the front, there was no manager able to check me out. After finally finding a manager, the gun runner just picked up my gun and started walking to the parking lot. Maybe they should tell customers of the process of walking a customer out. I wanted to shake him when he kept moving without me through the steps. I had already paid for the gun so not having my eyes on it at all times made me nervous. I’ll go to Jefferson Gun from now on.

Get there before lines get really long its New years Eve and I just left there and they had about 25 in line move pretty quick so they will get about that but it will get longer

I ordered something online and got an email saying it was ready to be picked up. UK went in the store and waited over 15 minutes but was never waited on in the customer service area. I left and came back later. I didnt have a facemask so I waited in the curbside pickup area. 15 minutes later I moved my vehicle to the area in front of the doors. Another 5 minutes went by when finally the door greeter came out and asked if I was waiting for curbside pickup. I said yes at which time he told me the curbside pickup function was not working and Id have to come inside the store. I parked, went to the doorway and found out they didnt have masks for the customers. This is the worse service I have ever received. I will not be going to Academy again.

I recently went to go purchase a foam roller, the prices of the foam rollers were not specifically marked. The cashier personally came over to the section where I was and scanned the ones that I liked to help me make my decision. I was very impressed by this level of customer service and I hope more people get to experience this. I didnt catch her name but thank you again for your professionalism!

I remember when Academy was a hunting and fishing store with knowledgeable staff and regional tackle and gear. Today this place is a GAP with guns and some rods. While there maybe a few people that know there products, by and large this is not the case. Very disappointing !

Love their remodel! Store is very refreshing now. Very large selections of Saints and LSU gear. Will be going more often now. Very happy experience today!

Store was packed! Checkout line meandered around all the way to the back of the store! Unfortunately, a significant percentage customers were not wearing their PPE properly or practicing social distancing and the store management didnt seem to care and didnt do anything about it.

I like Academy for all my camping needs.

They keep the helpful people on the registers while the ones who hide from work are scattered throughout the store. It looks as though theyve gone through recent changes though. At least the store is neat and organized now
