I brought 3 guitars here for repair. One with a pretty minor problem and 2 that needed to be completely rewired and required intense repairs. A few shops I had brought them too told me it wasnt worth it to fix them or quoted me outrageous prices. I brought them into Jack who gave me incredibly reasonable quotes for all the repairs. I dropped them off one at a time and each guitar was repaired beyond my expectation (he cleaned and did more work than I had expected and didnt even charge me extra) and they play amazing. He even gave me a killer deal on a case when I picked up the last one. Seriously an amazing local business that goes above and beyond. Ive taken guitars to guitar center for set ups before but Jacks work is way superior and Ill never bring my guitars to another place. Highly recommend!

Nice small little guitar shop in downtown Methuen. Went in to get my guitar repaired, and was an all around pleasant experience. The gentlemen who fixed my guitar was great, and the shop had a great atmosphere to it. Guitar strings are much cheaper than other stores as well. Will be back

Good selection of used entry and middle level guitars and amps. Great prices too.Had work done to my Les Paul Gold . Along with a set up for a fair price. Another time my Dean needed a new volume pot and he did it that day! Very good and fast service. I have a few others that I will definitely be back.I have taken lessons here for about year from Jake, he has been a great help for advancing my skills.

Absolutely fantastic service. He quickly diagnosed a faulty wire and replaced it. My gibson midtown works perfectly now, I cant tell you how much of a relief it is! Great price and very very fair.... THANK YOU SO MUCH

HACK TECH BEWARE!I had an amp problem, I could have shipped it to the company as it was still under warranty but I had talked to Jack at The Guitar Garage and he convinced me it would be easier to have his guy look at it. I decided to do just that. Now I have NO amp. After two weeks I was told they couldnt figure it out. This coming after he touted his tech person as highly qualified. Not only did he not fix it but he made it worse. I was told the clean channel was ok but no gain. Wrong! The clean channel was only 15 percent of its normal volume at 1 oclock. It also sounded like I was playing under water. All the controls, i.e.. gain, bass, mid, etc. did not work at all. On top of that they put a scratch on the top panel near the standby stitch and they broke a volume knob. [they told me to super glue it] This was a 3 month old amp with less than 20 hours on it. Now it it useless. I told them to keep it since the warranty was now void. They kept it. I think they should pan it out and fix it; that is what I was promised.

Worst music store ever!!!! I went in simply for a couple packs of guitar strings... I stood at the register for 3 mins and the guy completely ignored me, i walked around the tiny rooand went back to the register for another 2 mins the guy ignored me again . I just walked out!! Why buy anything from him? He clearly does not care
