My mother asked me to help her sell her extensive collection of Lladro and I was initially very pleased with Jen, however, she had an issue with one of her ebay buyers and I am still waiting on the check for one last item. I have been calling, emailing, texting, and now, unfortunately, writing this review in the hopes that after 5 months, I will get the final check for the items she sold, or, at minimum, some type of communication from her. I would have loved to have given her a 5 star review but we have been waiting far too long for her to fulfill her end of her contract. She guaranteed she would resell the last item (a quite expensive item) and to date, we are completely in the dark. At this time, I would not recommend using Collectibles NJ. I feel cheated, robbed, and taken advantage of.

With short notice they came to my facility packed everything in their truck, ran weekly ads for 3 months, sent me weekly sales reports and a check weekly based on the previous week sales.I highly recommend using their services. I worked with Kevin to sell a collection of antique dolls that my parents had accumulated over many years. It was a mixed bunch of dolls, but some were rare and in good shape. I inherited over 100 Hummel’s and couldn’t find a place to sell them too. I checked the internet and found 3 places that I called and talked to. I chose Collectibles NJ because of how honest and professional they were. I had done some research ahead of the calls as to see who was going to try to get something for nothing. When I spoke to Kevin it was like talking to my own family member. He told me the the best way I should handle my dilemma. When I dropped the collection off at their shop, I was met by his very gracious wife Jennifer. She further helped me understand the procedure that would take place in this transaction. In my opinion she is the heart of this company. Hahah. When I left I felt so comfortable knowing more of the process and knowing that they were handling everything.Through it all I received way more $ than either of the other companies had quoted. Kevin helped us liquidate a very large collection of die cast cars, model trains, and various other collections when my father in law passed away. My wife and I had no knowledge of the value of these items. Kevin was patient and thorough in helping us. He was also extremely efficient in how each item was handled (approximately 7k individual sales on eBay over a period of 2 months). When my father passed away he left me and mom a large sports collection. Cards, autographs and statues. As much as we did not want to sell it we had no choice. I sent him a detailed list of over 200 items. He made an offer and we negotiated a deal. Kevin drove 2 hours to our co-op in upstate NY to pick up the stuff the next day. While we did not agree on the value of everything his offer was higher significantly than the offer I received from a local sports store.

I had moved to Florida several years ago i had a large selection of crystals that I didn’t want anymore I found NJ collectibles spoke with Kevin and he made it easy once I had them boxes he sent me the shipping labels it was a smooth process.

I cannot explain enough how Collectibles NJ helped me out. My father passed away and he left me his vintage toy collection. There were 100s upon 100s of playsets, 1950s/1960s plastic, carnival rides, castles and toys. Kevin @ CollectiblesNJ came out to an onsite appraisal. He even loaded all of the product onto a truck to transport to his warehouse. He appraised the collection to give me an idea of the value. I signed a consignment agreement and he moved with the sale of the collection. He photographed, listed, packed and shipped all of these items. He is thorough, experienced and knowledgeable in the field of collectibles. If I had another collection to sell, I would go to him again in a heartbeat.

I recently used NJ Collectibles to help me liquidate a rather large Hummel collection I came into possession of. Not knowing anything about them I decided to use the internet as a starting point. After calling several collection “professionals” who said Hummels had gone down greatly in value (which is true) and therefore weren’t worth the effort I begsn to get discouraged. I came across the NJCollectibles website and decided I’d give them a call, kind of expecting to be told what I’d already been told(garage sale ‘em). The owner, Jennifer, not only said he was interested, but could gee a very fair price for the figurines I had. From the outset Jennifer impressed me with her incredible knowledge of the Hummels I had AND the marketplace that exists for said figurines. Other dealers are missing opportunities for their customers simply because they don’t do the reasearch that NJCollectibles does to provide avenues for sales opportunities. My initial conversation over the phone with Jennifer was very positive. She answered all of my initial questions, presented their company’s (she co owns it with her husband Kevin) procedures from pickup to payment, why their methods are so successful, answered any questions that arose during our conversation and reexplained anything I didn’t understand completely. She is both professional and patient. I hung up the phone that morning feeling that I was in good hands. That feeling was confirmed on the date NJCOLLECTIBLES came to my home to process the Hummels for eventual sale. It must be noted that they are a NJ based company and were willing to travel to eastern Long Island to assist me. A big plus since I didn’t have to schlep the stuff to them! I can’t say enough good things about this company. They showed up on time, reexplained the entire process and packed everything upwith care. In addition to the huge Hummel collection I had other showpieces in “ onesey and twoseys” that I wasn’t sure how to sell and while there, Jennifer gave me an in house appraisal ( free) and it turned out many of these items were indeed collectible and they offered to take these items and sell them fir me aswell.Not only did this take a time consuming burden off me but it added quite a bit of profit to my bottom line with no extra time invested on my part. Again, they know the places to sell what youhave for its MAXIMUM value. I would like to impress upon the reader here that the process NJCollectibles employs in the selling of your collectibles, valuables, etc. is scheduled, contracted, staged and timed. The customer gets ypdates, calendar dates and a definitive dnd to receiving payment. No waiting indefinitely. I am glad I found this company and would employ their services again. In closing, my finsl impression wasthat I was treated as a genuine person by Jennifer and Kevin (yes, they are the ones who arrive at your door) and not just somebody who had stuff to sell.
