My experience has been pretty good. The time frame I wanted was fully booked so the lady helped me schedule an appointment in the evening. No wait at all.

This office visit was terribly a nightmare! Their customer service needs some professional training, Dr Hom was the worst and rudest eye doctor on earth I’ve ever seen, As an eye doctor he was not able to answer 9 out my 10 questions and he got very mad and upset so he started yelling to all of us. Oh did I mention that he even had my eye prescription wrong and when I pick up my eye glasses I couldn’t see clearly, the worst part was he refused to correct the problem, what a lousy job and terrible service. I will not ever going back to this place and will warn all my friends about it. Dr Hom you are not knowledgeable and not professional !!!For anyone out there who is looking for a professional eye care doctor with well trained good quality of eye care services, this place is NOT for you!!!

The doctor is money-centered, not client-centered. He changed and increased the previously agreed upon pricing. If you dont agree, you wont be able to complete the eye exam and get your prescription. He also made me order expensive lenses through him, even before completion of the eye exam. If you dont do it, you wont get your prescription. Initially I had high hope and trusted this doctor. Big disappointment. After paying the increased price for eye exam and expensive lenses, I was finally handed the little piece of prescription. Will never go back to this practice.

This is very long over due but I went to Vision 27 a couple of months ago and Dr. Hom was very kind and nice. The receptionist was a nice lady and they were both very helpful. I felt at home, which I can definitely say I dont feel often at many doctor offices!

I had used him few times in the past, but my recent visit would be the last. He was probably in a bad mood that day, but it wasn’t my problem. If he couldn’t make enough money from doing eye exams, it’s not my problem either. I paid the agreed upon price and however long it would take him to finish, it’s his problem, not mine. Dr. Hom is probably getting old with growing attitude issues that he himself doesn’t even realize. The dude was barking at the wrong tree during my recent visit; he thinks he’s the only licensed professional alive, with many years of experience. Meanwhile, I am also a licensed professional with many years of experience in my field as well. Seriously, don’t talk to me like you are Gandhi. If he’s willing to explain, fine; if not, it’s fine with me as well because at the end, all I care is the written prescription for eyeglasses. Do you really think I care about how the 20/XX, -0.75, this and that are calculated? When I asked him about the medical terms related to the eye exam, he was not able to just summarize and give me the short brief answers. Look, I was not looking into being an optometrist, just put it in a nutshell; I was not wasting your precious time. And indeed, I was wasting my own valuable time just being in his office; I should have gone somewhere else after a warning from my friend who saw him not too long ago. Doctors bring up the terms, patients ask why, a pretty normal reaction. If I had treated my paying clients like he did, I probably won’t be in my business by now.

I have good experience with Tony Hom. I have been here for eye exam since 2010 and never disappointed me. Facility is very clean and organized. I would recommend this office to my friends.

This doctor is worst doctor in the whole universe.doesnot let us talk,no knowlege,no patience for this old man. I love visiting Dr. Tony and his staff. I always go to Vision 27 for my eye glass needs because I know that they will always be professional, kind, and I always find a nice pair of glasses that fit my picky style.

I had a wonderful experience at Vision 27. The staff was courteous and polite and the doctor was funny and easy-going. I would recommend Vision 27 to anyone and everyone.

Dr. Hom is a knowledgeable optometrist. My whole family has been seeing him for more than 15 years. He does a thorough eye exam and accurate contact lenses fitting for me since I have heavy astigmatism with my both eyes. He shows a great patience with his clients. My husband and I feel very comfortable to talk to him.On June 26, 2019, I had an awful irritation with my left eye. I put few drops of clear eye solutions, but it didn’t work. I quickly made an appointment to see Dr. Hom. He then successfully removed a 0.5 cm hair from my left eye. I highly recommend Dr. Hom if you’re looking for an optometrist.

This is the best eye exam and eye-glasses buying experience Ive ever had! Dr. Hom is very warm and friendly. He thoroughly checked my eyes, and then showed me various types of frames. Realizing that I havent shopped for eye-glasses for a long time, he took time listening to me what kind of frames I feel comfortable with and explaining to me what the latest trend is and even recommended some frames to me.After almost trying out every frame type, eventually I settled with one that was his original recommendation! If you cant decide on your choices, feel free to ask Dr. Hom or his assistant Jennifer for their advice. It is always good to have a second opinion, especially from a trained eye. Their office is very well decorated so I know I could trust them on their tastes.The prices offered by them seem very good too. I ended up having to pay very little out of my own pocket (this is probably also dependent on your vision insurance plan) while at the same time having the feeling that Ive just gotten a great pair of new eye-glasses!Highly recommend Vision 27!

Very relaxed visit and always very informative.

I would not recommend this place at all. The glasses lens was thick and heavy even though I paid for all the bells and whistle that comes with the glasses because most of it was covered by my insurance. The new glasses looked like a telescope compared to my old glasses and my vision only went up a little bit. I asked the doctor to redo because it was way too thick; so he did redo it with additional pricing added. The second glasses was about the same, and the doctor say it was the thinnest it was going to get. I just left the places and will never go there again. Thats some shady business and shoddy job, horrible, horrible.

I have been seeing Dr. Tony K. Hom for many years now and I would not see any other optometrist except him. Excellent care, service, and a variety of frames to choose from.

I have been a patient of Dr. Homs for nearly 9 years, and he has been excellent. I use the ortho-k lenses, which allow me to have perfect vision during the day without the hassle of glasses or contacts, and they have also prevented my vision from deteriorating further. Eye exams are always thorough and efficent, and Dr. Hom is always pleasant, attentive, accomodating. Overall, an excellent experience.

Dr. Tony Hom is very rude and disrespectful. His staff is nice but he is very short with people. He doesn’t explain things clearly and kept changing the price. I called asking for a script and he wouldn’t even let me talk. He started yelling at me on the phone. Plus he keeps changing the prices. One minute he tells me one price the next minute he gives me a complete different price. I don’t appreciate being spoken to like a child and not allowing me to even finish my sentence. All I wanted was a script to get my prescription somewhere else. Then he told me to go back where I got my examen done last time if I want a script. So you took all my money and now you can’t write a stupid script that takes 2 secs because everything has to go through you! Ridiculous. I will never go back there again and I’ll tell everyone i know not to go there either

I’ve been going to Dr. Hom for as long as I can remember, at last 12 years. I remember learning how to put contacts in for the first time at his office. I couldn’t do it on my own but he was very patient with me. Dr. Hom is always helpful and kind. His staff is also friendly and they help as much as they can. If I ever have any problems with my eyes, Dr. Hom is there to help!

I am reporting this doctor to the board. I am in the health care business myself and his customer service is very unprofessional. He wants patients to listen to him and only him without listening or caring to what you are trying to tell him, wants to control you Please do your homework when seeking an optometrist. This guy is not the one to go to!

Absolutely awful!!! My mom went for her appointment and wanted to purchase glasses from them. She looked at some frames, but wanted to have her daughters (myself and my sister) look at them to help her decide. They said she could come back to look at them Saturday, so she went back and they refused to let her look at any of the glasses. She then asked to get a copy of her prescription so she could purchase glasses somewhere else since they were refusing to serve her, but they WOULD NOT GIVE HER THE PRESCRIPTION (she had already had the appointment and her insurance company had already spoken with them).NOT WORTH THE TIME OR MONEY - RUDE AND BREAKING THE LAW BY REFUSING TO GIVE OUT THE PRESCRIPTION YOUVE ALREADY PAID FOR!!! We will never be going back!

Great experience withy eye exam and frame order.

Went to get my eyes checked after having not gone for almost 4 years on May 7, 2015.Not sure what happened with the other reviewer but my experience was vastly different.The girl at the desk was friendly and offered to get us coffee or tea while we waited for Dr. Hom. Dr. Hom was very patient and carefully explained everything that was going on with my eyes, what I had to do maintain them, and then gave me drops for dilation. I was pleased to learn that my eyes hadnt gotten worse since my last visit and there was hope for improvement over time.I was given a copy of my prescription and the girl at the desk spent over an hour while I fiddled around with the glasses trying to figure out which one I liked. All in all, we were in and out within an hour and a half, with most of the time spent on picking some frames. I would definitely go back and recommend others to do the same!

Ive been coming to Dr. Hom for checkups, glasses and contacts since 2014, and have never had a problem. Dr. Hom has been accommodating with my complicated insurance situation this year, and I particularly like the selection of contacts (cosmetic lenses), and his generousness in giving me trial ones. Frankly Im surprised by the few bad reviews, I hadnt seen them before coming here to say thanks. I suppose as with all businesses, we dont really think to leave reviews for good service.

My daughter have been coming to Dr. Hom for OK lenses since 2011, and throughout the day her vision is great, really good and professional doctor.

The examination is very precisely and meticulously, listening and explaining various questions patiently, considerate service. A trusted ophthalmologist.
