They always have a great selection but their prices can be a little high given the fact that everything is a donation. Some of the jackets were going for$50 which seems really excessive for thrift store prices

My sister wanted too try this place out and it was a success. She said she would come back her home store is the one in Lakewood she is always there but it is nice too see a different story. Plus each store has its own personality. I just was glad to ride with her and see that she was content and happy when she came back to the car. Plus it was a discount day also that is always a WINNER. I hope this helps someone.

Yeah this place sucks now. Browns jacket for $150. Indians jackets for $50-75. Cavs jacket for $50. What is going on. This is not a thrift store. Loads of junk. I swear everytime I go in it’s the same stuff too. This place needs to be what it used to be. It’s a waste of time now.

Im sorry some of the other reviewers have had a not so positive experience. Every time I have shopped here, Ive found what I was looking for. The only problem which is not really a big one, I can only shop for so much, since Im on the bus. Ive been to this location and Lakewood. Lakewood is really nice as well, but again, Ive had more success at Middleburg Heights.

Must be under new management or somthing, they took the frequent shopper cards away and replaced them 10$ off every 100$ spent, used the be a great place to find items at low cost but now everything is way overpriced, especially the dirty shoes that are ready for the dumpster. 15$ for an indians promotional jersey, almost 7$ for a cup. Sad, Becoming a waste of my time. Hope they go back to the old ways.

Value World is an ok place to shop at- depending on what types of items or clothes that you are looking for. I was able to purchase a classic NFL Cleveland Browns Turtle Neck shirt with the classic Browns NFL Helmet logo some time ago and I still have it and was able to make minor repairs that did not take that much to fix. Its ok to go here- but just a quick reference- they have ok clothing items but you really have to look at the size and condition before buying as you would any thrift store.

They offer a huge selection of clothes and a little bit of everything. Most of the workers are friendly and are available to help you when needed. I just wish this store was a little more cleaner. Theres always this distinct smell that you get when you shop there -- a little musty like mildew. Ive also noticed that some areas like the kids toys lack enough product on the shelf and always looks empty. But other than that I dont mind shopping here.

Great place to get clothes for my boys. They are growing fast and this is our first stop to get them what they need. Lots of affordable name brand things hidden on the racks. Some brand new.

Value world really has value. Their half off coupons are awesome. I have found some unique things there. Like a Nestles glass kettle out of the 50s. When you have some time to browse it is definitely worth the stop

I shop at the lakewood value world all the time and love it but the smell at this one is so overpowering that I hardly could stay for 10 minutes. I see from other reviews that I’m not the only one who noticed this and that this issue still hasn’t been addressed. Such a shame.

You can find amazing stuff here for really great prices but the store does have an strong odor and so do all the clothes inside. It’s kind of a musty odor and it takes work to get it out of the clothes.

The employees were barely working. One of them had his group of friends up there at the register area talking about Snapchat and such. The employees were all swearing, the friends were all swearing. I could hear them in the back of the store while they were up front. How this place manages to stay in business is beyond me, but I will spread the word like wildfire to stay away from this location.

The mold smell in the store is terrible. I was only there for 10 minutes and had to hurry and leave because it made so sick.The one item I purchased stunk so bad that I eventually had to throw it away. I actually spent more money on products trying to remove the smell.It used to be a decent store but not worth the headache (literally).

Value Worlds prices have gone from high to outrageous. One pair of underwear for $7.95 you can go to Walmart and buy a whole pack for that price. Throughout the store prices are crazy

My favorite location by far. Thousands of selections, organized by color by not by size, daily sales. Most of the staff is very welcoming and friendly. They are offering sanitizing products for your cart, cashiers behind glass with masks and they are controlling the flow of people during this pandemic. EVERYONE has to wear a mask upon entering the store. I shop at this location weekly or biweekly.

This store is very expensive to be a thrift store you can only shop here when it is a sale other than that you should just shop at Gabe across the street their clothes are new and cheap

One of the rudest employees I have ever met. Im sorry buddy that another employee asked for your help and you threw a little fit. Then on top of it after the lady walked away you chased her down and we could hear you screaming at her. Im at the registers and youre in the back and I could hear you screaming at her. Big man chasing down a little old lady to scream at because she needed your help. Not planning on going back anytime soon. Management needs to step up. The world is crazy enough we dont need employee to employee harassment.

I LOVE this store!!!! I recently spoke with themanager and have to say that she is a terrific woman and an avid animal lover, like myself. It melts my heart to know that she goes out of her way to donate blankets to local animal shelters.

Good thrift store across Pearl Road from Southland. Mens, Womans, Childrens and Babies clothes, including coats, jackets and shoes. Handbags, scarfs,jewelry, ties, undergarments are all usually found here. Electronics, furniture, housewares, toys,games, books, CDs. Well lighted. Good shopping carts. Well organized by types of clothing and colors. Youre on your own for finding the sizes. The womens and mens larger sized clothing is separate from small through extra large. Febreze and other products are used to keep smells controlled.

My favorite thrift store for clothing. Sometimes you can truly find a hidden gem or two here, and it always has an extensive collection of products. I always have the urge to pop up every few weeks to see what I can find! Staff extremely friendly and personable. Some people might have a problem with the smell, but I’ve gone to this place for so long it isn’t even a hindrance for me.

Value World is nice place to shop the prices are little high & when you buy clothes you have to take the hangers of the clothes & then you have to put the hangers on another rack this is the cashier job

Overpriced junk.

The store was arranged nicely by item and color but the sizes were all mixed up. And it smelled moldy. We looked at one rack of clothes but had to leave quickly due to the moldy smell, I have asthma so NOT GOOD! My friend who doesnt have breathing issues was even overwhelmed by it. . I am giving two stars only because it looked nicer than it smdid a year ago.

If you need to try clothes on, dont bother shopping there! They have no fitting rooms. They also have a no return policy, which means that if something doesnt fit, you cannot take it back. When I questioned this with a store employee, I was told that most thrift stores dont have fitting rooms now.. Huh? Goodwill does, Salvation Army did the last time I shopped there. ONLY Value World, out of all the thrift stores I have been to, doesnt. Will never shop there again.

I have shopped here on multiple occasions. I like the store employees are helpful and they dont hover over you. The store is clean and organized. I would reccomend shopping here there the prices are reasonable.

Way better than Goodwill. Sure it isnt as clean as that place, but who cares about what the store looks like so long as you can actually find some good stuff at a decent price. Dont get me wrong this place isnt perfect, but the price and selection are pretty good. Im sure the employees pick over the good stuff first, but here and there some good stuff sneaks past them. Once I bought about 10 3DO games (old obscure video games) for about a buck each. I totaled up the value of it to about 400 dollars. WIN!

Decent size but I hate how they dont have fitting rooms. Because of this I usually wont get cloths from here unless its something Im going to wear over my cloths like a jacket or sweater. They have a nice selection of trinkets and blankets tho.

You can find some incredible deals here among some real junk. I love their sales and 25 cent sale rack. The Bad: no fitting room, not very clean, watch out for broken items, and some of the staff are unhelpful at best. Still Ill probably be back.

Nothing is valued at Value World. Especially not you, as a customer. Everything looks old and poor but somehow it has nothing to do with pricing. 20 bucks for a used small purse? Come on. Not to mention the smell in the store (old) and they wont let you use their restrooms. Why coming ?

This has been one of my go-to thrift stores for years, they have a great selection of items. I typically come across many finds! However, the prices are steep in comparison to other local stores (Salvation Army, Volunteers of America) ... for example most of the dresses are priced between $7-15, when they are around $.99-5.00 elsewhere. There are stained/damaged clothes that also are not reflected in pricing. Though the clothes are still relatively cheap, generally speaking, its hard to look past the prices knowing they would cost significantly less at another thrift store. Still a neat place to check out, though.

Very nice second hand store I whent to shop for skirts and they have variety to choose from many cloth and very friendly staff members the con of this store there is no dressing rooms only one small mirror for all the people suggest to put more mirror or at least a corner with a curtain to try some stuff

I love Value World! I always find what I need and more. Today I found designer shoes, a purse, four blouses and jewelry to match! I had a 1/2 off coupon so I only spent $20!

This store is a complete joke and I love the people there so this isnt some malicious review. Their prices are beyond ridiculous and I mean asking $10 for shirts with holes and stains, $10 for items that cost $15 new, $8-10 for Wal-Mart brands, etc, etc. Plus, the management treats the employees beyond awful. I wish I had a business of my own where I could hire these mostly kind people for more money and better treatment than they receive. I challenge anyone who goes in there to see what I am talking about. The faster we stay away from this place the faster it will close down.

I absolutely loved the stuff that was there, but they were pretty pricy considering they are a thrift store, and THEY DONT HAVE A FITTING ROOM!!!! How am I supposed to know if it fits me or not?? I spent 30+ mins finding clothes to only find out they didn’t have a fitting room. It was kinda a waste of my time. I’m not going back there. I was starting to get really weird/creepy vibes by the end anyways.

First thing that hits you when you walk in is the smell! I know its a thrift store so its goimg to have some type of smell but not this bad! Even then I decided to just go in and at least check it out. They have no fitting rooms or bathrooms and as I was looking through the baby clothes I found a cockroach on one of the outfits! Ever since that day I have not went back to that store! I like Goodwill much better! Way cleaner and great pricing!

I love Value World, especially with 50% off coupons. :) When I had one, I bought 3 t-shirts and a good book for $1.57. I miss the Unique Thrift in Northfield, and used to go there for bargains before it closed. The prices are great and there is a little musty smell, but not as bad as other thrift stores. My favorite is the Middleburg Hts. location, but I also like the Northfield Value World.

Between that and the managements on-again off-again stance on whether or not their restroom is open to the public, Im losing my love for this place...

BOYCOTT this store! They used to have excellent, typical thrift store prices but now, they are an actual joke. Fake leather coats $50. Used Childrens Tommy Hilfiger $42. These items are cheaper BRAND NEW. The people who are pricing things have no idea what anything is worth. Also, every single item in the store smells absolutely horrible. Go next door to Goodwill, where the prices are much better and it doesnt smell like rotten animals. Cant wait to see this place filing for bankruptcy.

The deals are unbeatable, and the store is about as clean as a resale shop is expected to be. Some of the staff are sketchy and there was a bit of yelling, seemingly in a staff drama dispute, but the deals make it worth it if the trip is a quick one.

Bought a $35 Keurig coffee maker. Tested it in the store and it turned on. Obviously, you cannot make coffee in the store. When I got l it home, it did not work.There policy is to not accept returns. $35 lost.

Staff usually loud, rude, and you can hearing them yelling and swearing in the back room. Seem to be making a staffing change for the better lately
