Worst customer service I’ve ever received from a sales associate. Couldn’t be any more unprofessional. Laughed in our faces when we said we’d unfortunately have to look elsewhere as we could not wait 34 weeks for delivery and said good luck with that turned his back and walked away. We understand you cannot rush quality and covid delays are a thing but there is no need to be nasty and disrespectful. Wouldn’t shop here simply for the lack of respect shown by staff
This was my first time ever shopping at Pilgrim Furniture and I will definitely return again. I saved $400 on my daughters dresser i got from their clearance department, its sturdy and in excellent condition, except for one ding. It was perfect for a teenagers room. Chris was very nice and helpful, he even found us a new mirror that match and because I saved so much on the dresser, I could afford to also buy it. I will be returning when Im ready to buy a new living room set.
We had the best shopping experience ever. No hard pressure selling. Salesperson was very pleasant to work with. He went out of his way to answer all questions. He even moved furniture around so we could see how it would look together. If you go to the one in Milford, on the Post Rd see Fred Santana great person.
I had the pleasure of meeting Fred and Anthony. I dont enjoy picking out furniture but working with these two made the process less arduous. They listened closely to my ideas and what I was trying to create in my home as well as match/pair the furniture with and had recommendations that fit exactly what I was thinking. They also had tons of information on the products itself. I teased Fred for being a great salesman and Anthony for pairing us. Overall, they were great and I am extremely happy with my purchase.
Walk away from thos place. We purchased a very expensive table, over 1500, after just a couple months the paint on the table is chipping away and chair was falling apart. They sent a service guy that fixed screw in the chair and said its just from usage. I asked why at this price the quality was so poor, he asked if I bought insurance, I stated it shouldnt be needed for a new table that was so expensive. This guy wasnt a help at all, I will NEVER shop at pilgrim again Ever. I have never seen such horrible customer service especially for such a poorly crafted product. They do not stand behind what they sell! Go elsewhere!
Fred was very helpful and didnt follow us around like others do. He gives you just enough space to make decisions without being stalked by salespeople. Ask for Fred, you will not be disappointed. The girls in back rock also. Very courteous and friendly. Delivery went smoothly and all were professional.
(This was my original review - see update below) Great experience shopping here. Leah was my salesperson and she wasnt pushy, showed me exactly what I wanted, and got the sale! I would definitely work with her again. Financing process was quick and painless, too. I liked that I was supporting a local business as well. Will definitely shop here again.I will NEVER go here again. The buying experience was good (as stated above) - the rest was an absolute disaster that Im still trying to get sorted out two months later. They tried to deliver the bed and it was damaged. The customer service woman told the delivery men cant you just put it together anyway? I was appalled (as she was when she realized he had me on speakerphone and heard what she said). Fast forward a week or so, and a second day I had to take off work to wait for delivery. I get a phone call on delivery day that the bed is damaged. AGAIN. I told the same woman who suggested they put together the bed in the broken state to cancel the order in full and she said it would be taken care of. Two months later I get a collections bill from their own financing company stating that I owe them a balance for return of damaged merchandise. Seriously? I have wasted so much time calling the finance company, who isnt able to fix it. Now Im wasting more time calling the store directly to try and fix it. Meanwhile, It seems to have been reported to the credit bureaus that I have delinquent accounts and late fees on top of the owed amount, which, of course, I dont actually owe.Best of luck, but buyer beware.
We ordered a sectional from Pilgrim Furniture in March of 2021, which was delivered in September. As soon as it was brought into the house, it was easy to see that it was completely broken, to the point that it was actually unusable. We contacted the store before the delivery truck had even left the driveway, and we were told that the only way to get in touch with customer service is via email. Following a long stream of emails, we finally had a service technician scheduled to come to try to fix our brand new couch. He took one look at the inside of the sectional, said he had never seen anything so bad, and it was not fixable.Following another long stream of emails with customer service, it was determined that the only option would be to wait an additional 20-30 weeks for a new piece to be sent. In the meantime, we are now stuck with a completely unusable sectional for the next 5-6 months (over the holidays, no less), which was upwards of $3K. Dealing with customer service was absolutely terrible. We were made to feel like we were an inconvenience with every contact, questions were only partially answered, and this company did absolutely *NOTHING* to make this massive mistake right. This will be our first, and definitely LAST experience with this awful store.
Fred was our Salesman and he was very professional, kind and courteous. I took a long time making my selection and he was so patient. He wasn’t a pushy person either which helped make my shopping experience pleasant and enjoyable. I highly recommend Fred and thank him for taking his time helping us. We can’t wait to get our furniture.
I visited Pilgrims furniture in the Milford, CT location and had a pleasant experience with the help of Dave. To be honest every associate was very friendly and professional, but Dave was very patient consider how indecisive my partner and I were. He explained everything thoroughly making sure we not only made a smart purchase, but the best purchase as well. Very pleasant experience at this location.
Everything was great from purchase to delivery and installation. In fact after my delivery I went back and purchased more furniture.
Love my furniture but it was delivered with a broken piece. Its been 2 months and I still do not have the working hardware. I am so disappointed.
Great store, shop their frequently. Recently we bought a new mattress and had a great experience with Bob. Very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process. They have a huge selection and Bob helped us narrow down our choices to find the right one for us. Highly recommend going to Pilgrim if you’re in the market for a new mattress.
There was no pressure to buy and sales people did not hound us. The product sold itself. Very pleased with the whole experience.
I walked in looking for outdoor furniture and Jenny helped me right away. She was great and answered all my questions. It was my first time at Pilgrim and I was impressed with the size of the store. I liked many of the items they had they were different and unique. She was excellent and made the experience a pleasant one. I will be going there again in the near future.

I seen a sofa and loveseat online after hours and left a email because I didnt want to miss out on the sofa that was not in the store during the holiday sale. Less than 24 hours I had a response and I called in the morning and was greeted by an associate by the name of Ann Marie who was so very helpful and I appreciate her kindness. I would definitely recommend that my friends and family shop at Pilgrim.

Absolutely horrible experience! Do not buy from Pilgrim. Purchased a dining room set 2/15/21, paid in full. Was told delivery by end of March for dining table and chairs and early April for sideboard. End of March came and I was notified there was a manufacturer delay. Finally, end of April the table and chairs were delivered but I was told sideboard was delayed further. It is now 2nd week of August and still no sideboard. I have called over and over since April and I’m told repeatedly it should be in within 2 weeks. I asked if I could have the floor model and I was told it’s against state law. I still have no resolve from them. I wish I had read the reviews prior to purchasing. please please avoid this company!
Had a wonderful experience w the staff at the Milford store. Very personable and accommodating. They were honest about quality of difft brands and didn’t pressure us at all. The store is a little far for us but worth the drive. Wish the Danbury store did not close.
Not Happy.Seemed good at first but a year and a half after ordering a new couch I still have a manufactured defective section that has been cut open multiple times. Everyone is nice but my new couch isn’t.

I had never purchased a new couch before, I have typically just gotten them second hand from friends or Craigslist, so I didn’t really know what to expect. I walked into Pilgrim and was immediately greeted by a woman named Ilana. She was so helpful, and she walked me through the entire process step by step. My one concern was the delivery time frame, I have been hearing from friends and other reviews that furniture is taking forever to come in. Not the case here! She told me a month, it came in in just under a month. Maybe I got lucky, maybe things are finally getting back to normal, I think it’s a bit of both!! Highly recommend, 5/5, smooth and easy process and the couch looks AMAZING

I bought 2 bedroom sets and off the back I had a feeling there was going to be some issues. First from the attitude of the customer service chick when I went to pay for my furniture. Second, one of the dressers was defected, the draws did not fit on the railings. So, they had to replace it and it took forever to get a new one in. When that second dresser arrived it had a long scratch on top from the delivery men standing it on the wrong side and then dragging the dresser. Also, the back was dented in with some water damaged. Now I have to wait another 2 weeks to received a 3rd dresser. I will never buy from them again. There should be some kind of compensation, like giving some money back for all the BS. Wasting my time and money.
Bought a gorgeous couch from this location shipping was fast and efficient and the associates were all super professional and answered each question I had with an abundance of knowledge definitely recommend for a retail furniture store.

Ordered my furniture Mid-November. Was promised delivery in December for everything except for one piece that wouldn’t be available til Mid-February. Went back to check Mid-February because no delivery or communication and was told Mid-April for delivery. Guess what??? Still no delivery or communication!!! Horrible Customer Service!!! It’s May 12th now. Spend your money elsewhere.

We had Carl Demaio as our salesman...AWESOME...there was absolutely no pressure and he didnt watch us from a tall tree like many of the other stores do...pleasant to talk with and a just around al really nice guy.

Not good at all. Were made to feel cheap about the living room set we wanted, also ordered a chair and were told over the phone that the model was no longer for sale by Pilgrim but that we could have the floor model. Were guaranteed that the chair was in perfect condition. Chair was NOT in perfect condition, has a scratch on a leg, and a missing tab on the bottom of that leg. In place of the tab was an exposed nail head. Moved the chair and that nail head took a gouge out of my hard wood floor. This model chair is still for sale on the website, so was lied to that it was no longer for sale.
The people are nice, the furniture is fine...but when the sale is completed, the estimated delivery date is off by between 8-12 weeks in my experience. Maybe its factory delays - I wouldnt be surprised...but they really should give you a more accurate delivery estimate before the sale closes. Had I known in July when I ordered living room furniture that Id be waiting 3 months (or more - Im still waiting...its a new house so theres literally been nothing comfortable to sit on in the living room since we moved in) - Id have made some different choices. Same experience with 2 chairs ordered in early March...delivered the end of July. Because of my experience with the chairs, I asked twice about delivery estimates, but they stood by the accuracy of their first delivery estimate saying factories were operating again. The story changed once they were paid in full...and theres something just not right about that.
Been waiting over 11 weeks for a couch that JEFF promised in 3-4 weeks. Ive made numerous calls and just get the runaround .... Pedro was unprofessional on the phone and said its basically not his problem.I think they gave me that time frame to make the sale.And a friend purchased a more expensive couch on my recommendation the next day ... and just canceled bc she waited 11 weeks as well .... I will never purchase another item from this store and the lying salesman.

Horrible. My mother went to purchase a sofa at this location and an employee came up and said “that one is expensive” and that the cheaper ones are in the back….and then continued to follow them around the store. Funny thing was she was going to purchase the sofa XD

The staff at Pilgrim....Ilana, Maria and Lawrence went over and above. They made my shopping experience for my living room plus additional decorator pieces excellent.Would shop there for all my future furniture purchases.
Although the Sales people are extremely attentive and in your face as soon as you walk into the store, I cannot say the same for their customer service. Due to Covid we waited almost 6 months for our couches, were never contacted when they came in (thank goodness we reached out for an update) and then when they were delivered, we were missing pieces. I have contacted customer support (who are currently working remotely, so you can only leave a voicemail) on multiple occasions and have received no useful response. Constant blame game scenario with nobody actually rectifying the issue. Not worth the wait or the headache. Also, would strong discourage purchasing the 3rd party insurance because they will come up with every excuse in the book as to why your stain isnt actually covered under their list of stains.
Unfortunately, I think your experience here is only as good as the sales rep you have. I’ve come here prior and felt like I was treated well by some employees but a majority of the time, they just see you as a means to commission. If you find something you like here, skip the trouble and just order it online. It’s an easier process without the harassment.

Took time off work to receive furniture and they rescheduled with any notification. Every time I called to get an update no one would call me back. Horrible service. Don’t buy from here unless you like to be frustrated. Looking for another piece so as to cancel. Order has been pending for 5 months. This place is a scam.Update. It is now 4/30/2021 and still haven’t received my couch. They called and gave an allowance for the delivery after I posted a negative review, and the order got pushed again for 2 months. I put the order in for the couch in November. This place is unbelievable garbage. If you want them to take your money and never deliver a product go ahead. Biggest scam
Don’t believe their lies and false advertising. “Private event, must bring flyer, not advertised” events are none of the above. Don’t waste your time. Go to the multiple other furniture stores all up and down the road (including Raymour & Flanigan clearance center 2 doors down with GREAT deals and staff that greets you at the door. Unlike this place that took me 15 minutes and walking across the store to find some to just ask a simple question to. Staff does not and will not help you [if you cand find someone that is]).PS. I don’t normally leave reviews for places. But between the unprofessionalism, zero help, and false advertising, I HAD to. Don’t step foot into this place.

I am so upset with this store. I have no enough works to describe it. I bough a bedroom set with them, which took a month to be in stock, when it was the salesman called me and we set up a delivery day. 3 days after, the store called me saying I needed to set up a delivery day, and they couldn’t delivery it to me the day I schedule at the first time. I’ve been waiting for this so long and now I have to wait more because the person I talked to first did not schedule the day I was available. That is unbelievable. I am no longer buying not even a thing from this store. Very disappointed.
Bought multiple items from here. Had an issue with the warranty plan. Took over 5 months to resolve. I was disappointed with the length of time it took, however they were able to make it right.
Wife and I went shopping for a lift recliner chair, found just the one we where looking for. Nice and easy shopping experience.

The smaller furniture chain focuses on customer satisfaction going so far as to ensure a warranty relationship with a third party that gives Pilgrim the ultimate say in a customer claim rather than the insurance company. They truly work to go that step beyond.

Ordered a bedroom set and when the items were delivered the chest and dresser had defects, scratches and cracks. Both Items were returned and we were told, by Pilgram both items would be delivered within the next two weeks.Two weeks later, I called to ask when the delivery will be because I have not hear from Pilgram staff and I was told the delivery will be at the end of April.How can furniture be delivered damaged? Dont you think the items should be checked by a worker before shipping? What an inconvenience this is for my family! Very disappointed!For service as poor as this, we, the customer, should be given a fair amount of a refund from Pilgram Managment, sorry doesnt cut it!Next time we need furniture, we will not be purchasing from Pilgram Furniture.
We ordered a table in May 2020. We ordered a white dining set. After waiting till end of Aug 2020 they deliver a black set. They said they had white set in NC and we would get this. No calls or emails after saying they would. It’s now the end of September and we have no idea. Keep in mind the general manager made a mistake on code for white set to begin with. Will never recommend.

Well never buy anything from Pilgrim in the future. This was an exercise in frustration. We ordered a mattress and were assured that unlike other furniture, there wouldnt be any delivery delays because the brand is CT-made, but of course there were delays, and of course no one bothered to notify us until we called to arrange delivery before we moved. The mattress salesman told us to call again on Monday Oct. 19 and that we could definitely get delivery on Tuesday the 20th. Again, that claim turned out to be not true on either count (they dont even deliver on Tuesdays). Then they werent sure if theyd get the mattress for a weekend delivery - then there was a problem with my card (they took the number down wrong) - the whole experience was ridiculous. The only satisfactory part was the actual delivery.
Marge and Anthony at Pilgrim Furniture in Milford were WONDERFUL!! We went in, were greeted immediately and helped us with our purchase of a much needed Master Bedroom set. They made the purchase both easy and entertaining all at once. I highly recommend both Marge and Anthony at Pilgrim. We will be back in a few weeks for our new mattress!!!

There was never any high pressure sales pitch; her knowledge and guidance helped us to make our decision of what to choose. We were immediately approached by someone asking if we needed any help and they graciously guided us through the store. They kept their distance if they sensed we wanted to look independently, but were near by when we needed any assistance.
We’ve been to this store several times and we have been pleasantly surprised. All the staff is great and they give excellent deals. They work with you to get you what you need. They are family friendly too. They have some kid snacks and kid strollers to keep your little ones happy while you shop. Check this place when you’re in need of good quality furniture. We’ll be back for sure.
My husband and I came in to look at kitchen tables and received excellent care. Our sales representative name was Laura, and she was so helpful. She asked detailed questions to help us find the right fit. She also was extremely helpful in getting us different chairs than the ones that were with the table originally. I would definitely recommend this store, tons of beautiful furniture at great prices, as well as excellent customer service.
The entire staff was friendly and very helpful. I personally worked with Samatha and I can’t say enough about her. She was so helpful in guiding me once I told her what I was looking for. She knew just how to direct me. I met with her on a few occasions to finalize my decision and I am very happy with my choice. I will defiantly use pilgrim furniture and Samantha for my future purchases and I will absolutely recommend Samantha to my family and friends.

I have done a lot of business with the Milford store however about a month ago I purchased a bed and mattresses. Ever since nothing but problems. Nothing has been delivered. When the frame was being delivered it was missing the hardware to assemble it. Out the door it went. More then once I was told that a manager was going to call me which never happened. If the manager doesnt care then I guess Pilgrim has lost my business.
Chris was very helpful polite and was efficient. Can’t wait to have my dining room table delivered!
