Ive had three storage units here and I come back for good reason. The premises is always clean, its secure, Ive had my privacy and always treated with respect. The person who seems to run the store, but Im not sure, but hes always there and hes very personable. Hes respectful, you can trust him and he goes out on a limb to ensure you feel at home. Its kind of like a small town with a good sheriff. Thats weird to say, but thats exactly how Id describe it. Ive never had an issue or bother here whatsoever and I would recommend it to anyone.

I have a great, clean, secure place to store my belongings at a great rate. The assistance I was given over the phone to get set up was professional, very helpful, and kind. I am very satisfied with my experience thus far and wouldnt hesitate to say anything different if it wasnt such a good situation. I definitely recommend Extra Space Storage to friends, family, and anyone that needs a place to store those items we dont have space for at home.

Im happy with the storage space, it was clean and relatively easily accessible. Beware the rate you are offered is not the rate you will be paying in a few months. They gave me a unit that was near to the keypad to so accessing the storage blocked others from getting out. The real negative for me, however, was the pricing model bait and switch tactic. They give me a rate, and then after a couple of months said they are raising the rate to almost double the original amount. I looked, and new leases were going for the original amount. Clearly the business tactic is to give people a couple of months to put there stuff in storage, and then raise the rate knowing its a pain to move it once its in. Luckily I was flexible enough to get out in a month. I will never use this company again, and will not recommend them to any family or friends. 1 star for have a place to put my stuff temporarily.

I have been occupying this property with a few units for a couple years now. I can’t really ask for much more out of a storage unit property. It has good lighting a security gate with punch code and is in a great location.But really what makes the biggest difference and the reason that I stay and continue to rent more Space is the management on property. The manager and his staff have been nothing but completely helpful and nice since the very first day I met them. Whenever an issue comes up they politely respond and do so quickly.I would call this storage facility in upper tier quality type storage facility. You won’t regret. If you want the best manager and a great facility in a good location then this is the place for you.

We have found that after considering and using multiple storage facilities during the past 35 years, we are extremely glad to have rented from ESS. Its customer service is awesome: genuine and caring; they have a wide variety of spaces to consider; the upkeep and cleanness of the facility is exceptional and the location is very handy. If you are in the market for a high quality storage unit, you need to consider ESS. You will not regret it!

Do not rent from them! They are very Dishonest!! I gave them a good rating the first week of moving in because they keep asking you to rate them right away.Well that was a mistake!My storage unit increased by 20.00 in 4 months and by month 5 they said one will increase by almost 100.00. I never got a single letter stating such either.. They are not honest and the bait and switch happened very fast. I would have never rented from them if I knew it was a pricing scam.The time and trouble it took to move everything to their units was an awful few days and costly and the thoughts of moving right away again very much angers me. When I talked to them for the 4th time because they never called me back the next day as stated they would, the guy Chris had the nerve to compair gas prices going up and inflation of everything, to the rent increasing so drastically and rapidly after I moved in. This is not GAS PRICES, it has been a big lie. I expect the price you quoted me from the day i moved in!! I understand rent prices go up, but i have never seen anything like this.. and i have rented from other storage units. I will never reccomend them to family, Friends or co-workers. They are running a Scam, Bait and Switch and pretend they no nothing about it when called. I will be reporting them to the BBB.

Jordan was absolutely amazing. I had to work late and the office closes at 5:30 so I knew it would be close. I managed to get there at 5:28 and had tried to pre-book online and had an error. Jordan was able to get it booked and taken care of by 5:38 and I am so pleased. I always look for places that have good customer service and it’s so rare this day and age to find it, but Jordan definitely has it!

Be careful!!! Read and understand everything about their check out policy. Essentially, I ended up paying $234 for a 10×10 unit to be there for six days because I didnt provide enough notice that I would be moving out at a specific date. My fault for not realizing that.The 1 star is due to their complete lack of understanding and unwillingness to offer any sort of refund, even though I had to move out abruptly and could not offer the 15 day advance notice. When asked to consider an exception given my explanation they just repeatedly cite company policy. Sorry, company policy does not allow it. We have NO way to issue a refund.Learn from my mistake.

It was very easy and simple to get set up with a storage unit. They were friendly and were upfront about the agreement and expectations. Clean indoor units where I feel my stuff will be safe. I look forward to storing my stuff here for the next little while.

It was very easy to register to get a storage unit. The guy on the phone was very polite and courteous. Within minutes I had a text to call to to finish my registration. Like I said it was so easy. Everything was over the phone. I went over later and the lock that I paid for was in the unit. It’s on the 2nd floor heat and air conditioning. So nice. No chance of rain or snow damage. The price is reasonable also. I would recommend Extra Space Storage to anyone who needs storage.

My experience with Extra Space has been nothing less than fantastic!! Easy process to rent and get started. Unbelievable security. On Monday we mistakenly didn’t get the latch all the way closed so the unit was unlocked. We received a call to let us know before noon on Tuesday. What great service!!!

This was the easiest storage space rental I’ve ever had. I never had to speak to a rep and was able to select an appropriate unit, pay, sign contracts and get my access code all within the same morning I started my application. I would highly recommend, especially if you’re a super busy person who does not have the time to go down to an office to arrange rental.

When I rented the space I was told rent increases do not happen often. The rental increases, which have taken place 2 times in a short period, have totaled a 30%. Disappointed.

Chris was awesome! I had to set up a storage unit in California and they don’t have they same software system as Utah. He had to print out 2 contracts for each unit I needed and had to fill them out manually and then scan and email them to the branch in California. He was fast and efficient as he could possibly be. They have been great! The facility is easily accessible, clean, and very nice. It was easy to book a unit over the phone. We had been offered a promotion for 2nd month free over the phone, we had an issue where that didn’t get added on and we ended up getting charged for the 2nd month. I called and talked with Chris at the Millcreek location to figure out what had happened. He was great to work with! He had our problems fixed and had started the refund process within the same day. Would highly recommend!

I just rented a space at 3300 S location. Chris the manager was friendly, efficient, and helpful. The price seems competitive, and the facility is new and well maintained.

Quick, Painless, Affordable

Service was fast and friendly. Easily located the perfect storage locker for me within a few minutes and set up my account quickly. Prices are reasonable, including the one-time upfront fee. I think this is worth the money.

The property is really clean, the storage unit is in top notch condition, and Chris was really easy to work with. The only reason why Im giving 4 stars instead of of 5 is because the driving any parking arrangements were subpar. The tight turns made it impossible to get our moving truck to the optimal location. We had a tough time maneuvering it through the narrow horseshoe road. Dont try and get anything longer than a 20 moving truck around the corner to the climate conditioned storage unit door.

Chris walked me through the facility and helped get everything set up and ready to go quickly. The place is very clean and the controlled access makes it super efficient. Couple that with a great location and it’s a perfect facility for our needs.

I’ve had a great experience with extra space storage! The last two times we’ve moved, we used extra space for short term storage and it made our move so much easier—we were able to store some things not immediately needed and move it into the new house gradually over a few weeks, which gave us the space and time to settle into our new home without being overwhelmed with boxes! For both of our moves, Chris was great to work with and made renting the unit so easy and he also gave us a great deal on the first months rent. The customer service at both the Millcreek and Murray locations, the convenience, and the great price are why I will definitely use Extra Space again for future moves.

My wife and I were excellent customers of Extra Space Storage in Millcreek (hereinafter “the Millcreek Office) at 2150 East 3300 South, Millcreek, Utah for over four years. Our starting rate was $286.50/month, and at the time we left, they were charging us $411.00/month, with another rate increase just around the corner!! On Thursday, June 4, 2020, we received the following email from the Millcreek office: “Extra Space Storage would like to inform you that there will be Asphalt Work and Construction taking place on the property beginning on Monday, June 15, 2020 and will extend through Sunday, August 9, 2020 (weather permitting). There will be Limited to Restricted Access behind the main gate on the property during this time, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Regular customer access will begin on Monday, August 10, 2020.” Limited to Restricted Access for 55 days, and during the summer months, SERIOUSLY??!! Why in the world would it take that long!! Since we stored a car in our unit (that we needed access to at all times), we decided it was time to start looking for another storage facility. So, on Sunday, June 14, 2020, we removed our car, but we hadn’t let the Millcreek Office know yet. On Monday, June 15, 2020, we received a text and email from the Millcreek Office indicating that they closed our account. My wife called the Millcreek Office on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, and spoke with Christopher Reno (hereinafter “Chris”), the local Millcreek Manager. She asked Chris why he thought the account was closed, since we hadn’t let them know yet. He said that every morning he does a walk-through, and if a lock is missing and the unit is empty, then he assumes the party moved out and closes their account. REALLY??!! He assumes??!! Did it ever occur to him that maybe a unit could have been broken into and the contents thereof stolen? Maybe someone took their stuff out and was going to bring other stuff in and didn’t think they needed the lock until they put their new stuff in. Is it too much trouble to just call the tenant and ask them if it was their intention to move out or not?? Instead, Chris just “assumes” they are gone and closes out their account?? Talk about lazy!! My wife explained that the reason we moved out was because of the 55 days of asphalt/construction work that began on June 15, 2020. She also told Chris that the Millcreek Office only gave us 10 days’ notice about this extensive work project, so therefore, she was requesting a refund for the remainder of the month. Chris immediately took offense and told her that “their computer system can’t do that!” Isn’t that convenient??!! He kept saying to “read our contract” because they don’t give refunds. Chris then said that if we had told him in May that we were going to leave by mid-June, then they could have just charged us for half the month, but there was no way to fix this now. My wife told him that there was no way we could have told him In May, because the Millcreek Office didn’t send us the notice of the asphalt/construction work until June 4, 2020! How convenient to give notice of work to be done in the same month that the tenants have already paid for in full! That way they ensure that no refunds can be issued if the tenant decides to move out because of the 55 days of frustration and inconvenience! Chris told my wife that there were no refunds under any circumstances and again said that the “computer can’t do that!” and to “read our contract!” Chris was very condescending, patronizing and dismissive to my wife. They should of appreciated what great customers we were. Worst Company Ever!!!

Chris didnt treat us like a customer, he treated my grandma and I like we were old friends. I felt completely comfortable and welcomed the second I walked through the door. I will definitely recommend everyone looking for storage to come to Extra Space storage. Not only was it a super fast and easy process, but Chris was great to work with. The cherry on top was how extremely clean the unit was. I was definitely pleasantly surprised. I will never store at any other place again. Thanks again, Chris!

Best storage unit in Salt Lake City (more millcreek area) I looked a lot of places to store my things while overseas for a year and this place was the best overall quality. After returning home and just ending my service with them I have nothing but awesome things to say. They have extra clean storage units, easily accessible with keypad and gate, great hours of the gate operation, AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE, very secure, and super easy to review my bill and pay online. Would recommend 100% because of the customer service alone, they made everything super easy.

He found 2 units for us on the same row, and a few days later a 3rd one for temporary use.He had supplies available, and answered questions and lead us through the sign up and payment process painlessly. We returned many times to adjust our belongings and he always accommodated our requests.When my husband had to wait an hour for me, he invited him to the cool office with ice water available. Loved my experience with this location and company! I had tried to get a deal on line. I called them, they locked in the deal with an awesome price but there was only 1 unit left and you have to go in to the actual location to secure it. I couldnt go in that day. Come to find out when I went the next morning, the manager Christopher whom i had spoken with the day before advised me that someone else had taken that particular unit BUT he had found another one exactly like it that was actually a better fit for me and even let me use the same price that was discounted from the other unit! I could not have asked for a better experience! Thank you!
