Best Rolled ice cream I’ve ever had 100% recommended!

We drove by Fro Zone when it was listed to be open and there was a For Lease sign on one of the windows. No one appeared to be in the building and there were no lights on. Not sure if its closed, but it did not appear to be in use.

The rolled ice cream itself was delicious, but there was about a 20 minute wait time to start our order and it is pretty pricey at around $7 for one cup. The restaurant itself did look a bit haphazardly put together as well. If I was just rating the product it would be 4.5/5 stars.

It’s something to try once. Pretty good and something different for ice cream.

Great ice cream great service

Amazing ice cream that was well worth the wait! Locally owned by recent college grads from nearby schools which I thought was cool. The place didnt have much decorations but theyre currently doing the soft opening before the grand opening later.

Shop has been closed down for a while. i’m not sure why it’s not updated online but it’s closed.

I went around 2:15p.m., about an hour after they opened. There was one girl there. She was nice & professional but, not very social. I ordered the Strawberry Dreamroll with Strawberry Syrup and a Graham Cracker topping. It was delicious, I liked it a lot. Will definitely be going back. But, the only thing I didnt like was the inside. It seemed clean but, it was very plain and the set up wasnt very appealing. But other than that, I recommend you try it. Make sure to go during the early afternoon for the best experience.

Got there about two, it was not packed. Service treated us so kindly. It has a great feel to it.

I got a s’mores ice cream bowl & was literally just a pop-tart crushed up in mediocre ice cream. Had a chemical taste to it. Cool idea for the unique curled ice cream but they could really upgrade the ingredients they use in it considering the price I paid for it. Also the interior was boring & empty/sterile. This place has so much potential but they should really step up their game.

Yeah, this place is awesome! It reminded me of Goldstone where you have the mix-ins, but here you start with liquid cream and freeze it. They made the ice cream quickly and it was delicious. I had the Matcha Green Tea with caramel. My wife could not get the ice cream due to lactose intolerance (they said they will have non-dairy options soon), but she had some cookie dough that was delicious. We will return soon!

Great flavors and the rolled ice cream is extremely fun and creative. Love that this ice cream shop is so different than the others in the city

This place is really great. The ice cream is good. And presentation on the it is absolutely amazing. I almost dont want to eat it. Good for kids as well as they can watch them make the ice cream rolls.

Drove all the way down to get rolled ice cream for the first time on a Sunday and they were closed. The hours said they were open from 1pm-11pm. I got there at 2:30pm and no one was there and the doors were locked. I would not recommend this place unless you want to play a guessing game as to when they are open.

Coffee flavored ice cream roll not very distinctive. Ice cream is best judged by its flavor, not by its toppings. This one doesnt make the cut. Ice cream servers more into talking among themselves than engaging with the customer. They could learn from servers and flavors at The Purple Door Ice Cream on S. 1st St.

Went here during Brady Street Festival, and the ice cream was decent, but very overpriced. Could get the same taste for a lot less. You are paying more-so for the experience. You’re not missing out by choosing a more affordable place!

I love the people here and the whole vibe you get. Everything is set up so well from the tables, to the stand up island, and of course the actual ice cream station. The flavors are so so so delicious and will blow you away. The creativity is on another level and I tell everyone you cannot go wrong with whatever flavor you choose. You need to check this place out!!

Very beautiful at the art of rolling ice cream into almost a floral shape! But oh boy, the prices! The prices per serving size and if you want anything extra, oohh boy! My poor pockets.

One of the best gelatos Ive ever had! They have a lot of interesting flavors and I decided to get a small cup of speculators and espresso because I couldnt decide. Service is very good here as well. There was only one guy working but he was very friendly and was patient with letting us try the different flavors.

Just witnessed an employee open a package of food with her mouth while making an ice cream for another customer. Yuck. I will not be going back to this establishment after this. I called to tell a manager and he said oh i know who that is i just hired her ummm maybe train your employees proper salutation!

My 5 year old was ECSTATIC to come here and try rolled icecream for the 1st time. We came in a group of about 10 people. The lady making the rolled ice cream was very stoic and unenthused with her job. The BATHROOM WAS ABSOLUTELY disgusting and id take my children to a different shop next time. The ice cream was good but everything else was terrible.

Demolished the fudge brownie delite with blue bottle Vietnamese cold brew ice cream, which has a warm brownie and hot fudge sauce. ($8.50) DELICIOUS! I highly highly recommend it!

Me and my friends went there just for a good activity and right when we got there the worker already looked annoyed. We told her one of us had an allergy so she cleaned all her stuff but then my friend didn’t want to risk it so she said she said she didn’t want it. The worker rolled her eyes all mad. And she didn’t handle are food carefully, she hit are ice cream hard pushed my marshmallows in my ice cream rolls, and put a twinkie for strawberry short cake. After we ate are food we all got sick and got diarrhea.

Best ice cream in Milwaukee by far. Blows away any competition. Definitely worth the wait, glad someone brought rolled ice cream to milwaukee. Ive been there a few time already since the soft openingThis is definitely the new spot, especially during the summer! 10/10 would recommend this spot, showed it to all my friends and they loved it.

Just went into the store and was surprised that there wasnt much in it. I expected it to be more eye popping and appealing, but it was very bare bones. It looks like there wasnt a proper sink for the employees to wash their utensiles as when we went in, my husband, toddler and I- the employees gathered the ingredients with measuring cups that appeared used, as there was cream in both cups and when we went in, no one else was there. we went in at 8:22 pm. I got the Smores and my husband got the peanut butter chocolate banana. I had chocolate and he had vanilla. The containers for the toppings looked horrendous, as it was completely messy and looked like it hadnt been cleaned properly or cared for. The toppings were stale, the gummy bears we got were so hard, I could throw one on the ground and it would sound like hard candy. The ice cream was okay, but I really wish I had looked around first before choosing this place off of the pictures on Google maps. also, theres nothing with bubble tea here.

I was super excited to see rolled ice cream here in Milwaukee.I was sorely disappointed. The staff looked as if they had the worst job in the world. They werent friendly or even creative with their ice cream making. You watch them poorly chop, mix the ice cream, and roll the ice cream before its ready to be rolled.All this lack of service that could have been fun and creative with customers and they then ask for tips. Tip for what? I already paid $7 for poorly rolled ice cream.It feels as if the owners found out about the rolled ice cream fad and needed to cash in asap as the building isnt finished and there is no decor or atmosphere whatsoever. The menu was basic and had no no diary options which could have just been rolled ice.Another tip, please have a sign of what you are out of. I stood 20+mins in line to get told you dont have one of the six flavors you offer. Also, make a menu that lists your toppings as I had no idea what I could ask for on my ice cream.All in all, extremely disappointed. I hope a better put together shop with nicer employees opens up soon as I love rolled ice cream.

The ice cream was very good. Uneasy about the cold plate that didn’t appear to be clean. The store could use some redecorating as it’s not visually appealing. But the ice cream was visually appealing and tasted great. Ice was light and not overbearing. The portion was generous but it reflected the high price we paid.

Over priced & not made right. We went here for Fathers Day. The worker had no idea how to make the dishes we asked for & seemed obviously confused. After not getting what we hoped, we were then charged $7 per dish, included a plain bowl of vanilla.

Neat how they make it, but to pay $7 for regular tasting ice cream is outrageous. Will not go again. If I pay $7 for a cup of ice cream, I’d expect it to be exceptionally tasty; this was not.

Drove over 20 minutes to get here. It was not busy at all. Actually, there was not another customer in the building at all. I was so excited to try this “Thai” ice cream. My joy and excitement lasted through my, “ I’ll take the Strawberry Roll ice cream”... Sorry Ma’am but we only have chocolate ice cream right now... Seriously!!!

This place has horrible customer service, their employees are extremely rude. Ice cream is average. Not worth your time or or money.

We waited an hour in line on Fathers day to try this place. I wish I had listened to my husband 20 mins in when he suggested that no ice cream was worth the wait. He was absolutely right.It milk and sugar mixed with some already processed treat to make the flavors. Then the milk freezes on this cold plate (they never wash!) And they spread it thinly so that it can be scrapped up in a roll. No big deal. And really it has very little taste.Also, it is no where near sanitary. Too many reasons to list. And they were way over the fire code for most of our wait.

Parking was horrible. Staff frequently on their phones. Not at all what it was cracked up to be. Enjoyable to watch the ice cream be made but not much taste. Would consider maybe try again if they added to their flavor list.

Drove all the way here and was closed. Update your hours of operation on Google. Poor management

Tried it for the first time today and I think Ill stick with cold stone, Its not worth 7 dollars. I could barely taste the flavor I asked for and customer service is lacking. Its nothing like the one In New Orleans. I recently heard theres one in Mayfair, so I guess Ill try that.

I had Toucan Sam(fruit loop) rolled ice cream! It was one of the best things Ive ever had hands down! And you get unlimited toppings!

All the employees are hustling along while the line is out the door and having a genuine conversation with you while theyre making your stuff. Everyone is wearing gloves and the work area looks clean for being completely slammed. The aesthetics arent all completely there yet, but the quality, cleanliness and customer service is done to perfection.

I cant believe this place is still in business. dirty, slow and rude employees. Do yourself a BIG favor and go to Purple Door.

Doesnt live up to the hype. Staff isnt very friendly, building looks unfinished. They only have 6 flavors, the one I tried tasted like frozen milk with a hint of coffee, definitely not worth $7. Doesnt look like it would pass any health inspections either. I dont see this place staying open after this summer.

Very fun to see the ice cream freeze right in front of you, but it was pretty bland. Because its all so fresh to order the lines are pretty long but that just gives you more time to decide on the perfect mix-ins!

So the chocolate peanut butter banana rolled ice cream was actually pretty good as far as the ice cream is concerned, but we got some problems with the business. We went there on a Saturday afternoon, during summerfest, in late June. They had ONE person working. This isnt soft serve or hand dipped. The stuff takes time. We were there for almost an hour for 4 people. They ran out of whipped cream, vanilla base, ALL of the toppings were stale, and theyre supposed to be open until 1AM? Also, 28 bucks for 4 people to get ice cream is pretty steep. Will I be back? Nah, another example of good product ruined with bad business

Interesting idea. Ive seen this on Facebook and had to give it a try. Ice cream was good, the building could use some work though. Hopefully once they accumulate some funds they can redo the interior and make it look nicer.

Alright at best. Ice cream quality is medium to low. Not a fan of the flavor options, very limited and mostly just pastries you can buy at Walgreens (they actuslly use pastries to flavor them)Staff is nice. But the prices were a bit over for what it is, had rolled ice cream in Vegas once a bit cheaper. And had way more options nice combination of real and artificial flavors.If you have kids, they probably will like this place, as I feel most kids like hostess pastries or if you enjoy them as well. But If you have that adult pallet where you prefer better quality foods, this is not the place for you.

Its honestly not worth it. Its 7$ dollars for ice cream that looks cool for 2 minutes before you eat it/it melts. Not cost effective at all. You could get a triple scoop from Kopps or Baskin Robbins for the same amount of money. If youre looking for good ice cream, this is not the place to go. But if you wanna go to get a cool snap, its still not worth it. I was really hyped for it but extremely disappointed. I really hope it gets better.

Way too expensive. They literally mix sweetened milk with cookies or a hostess cake. You are not missing out, I promise. Service was very unfriendly and unprofessional. Poorly executed for something that has so much potential.

Thai tea macaroon ice cream sandwich.Thats it.Thats all you need to know.Drove from Santa Barbara to LA with a friend just to get milk to go back home. Call us crazy, but it was soooo worth it! Apparently, we were really lucky because it was a Friday night and there were only two people in front of us. Whooooo!

Not worth your time and money. Its basically milk and sugar crushed with candy or cookies. Customer service was awful, no smiles what so ever. And Im not even sure if it has gone through inspection yet. One of the girls was preparing the ice cream with her long hair loose. No hair tie, no hat, no hair net, nothing. Im pretty sure thats a health violation right there. With the same price, you can get a large mangonada from la Michoacána.

Really good rolled ice cream!

Long wait for service from someone who clearly didnt want to be there. Feels like they opened this place without finishing just because they wanted to be the first place to make ice cream like the Facebook videos. Even the layout feels unfinished, with loose speakers sitting on an empty bar and no clear signs on where or how to line up.

Phenomenal! Definitely a recommendation for all ice cream lovers and non ice cream lovers alike🤗

The place reminds me of a poorly run gas station... Told the girl working behind the counter that we are first timers. She attempted to explain how everything works and I was left more confused then I was to begin with (mind you we were the only customers in the place at the time). Once I finally got my order, I realized the whole process IS actually as confusing as she described it. The cold plates used to mix and roll the ice cream looked liked they hadnt been cleaned since the day before. The actual ice cream I was given was impressively mediocre. Thats right, i was actually impressed by how much this place disregarded the customer. Do yourself a favor and just walk past this place unless you enjoy wasting your money. Fro Zone doesnt deserve the honor of conducting business on Brady St. Would rather give zero stars but Google doesnt want anyones feelings to be hurt.

Waited in line for an hour. All the employees standing behind the counter were either standing around not doing anything, snap chatting, or just sitting on their phones. Finally got up there to give my order. No smile, no hello, no even standard greeting. Just a head nod. When I said I dont know what that means he snapped back with what do you want?. Every single employee there had I despise my job and I hate this place written all over their face.Some of the worst customer service I have ever received. No care or pride in the actual product either just made and rushed out which was surprising since it took so long just to get to the front of the line.Place looks like it was half open. Not even finished. As if they threw the place together and just opened up to grab money. 1st and last time I will ever visit this venue.Absolutely horrible in every aspect.

Unwelcoming atmosphere, intimidating stares, and the cashiers looked pissed off. The ice cream made was rushed which made it melt quickly. Also, the word unlimited on the sign is spelled wrong. But the ice cream was good.

Incredibly rude and inattentive staff. I stood in line for 15-20 minutes and they took three other customers before me saying that I was standing in the wrong area... instead of redirecting me earlier. It is especially upsetting considering I have visited this location multiple times before with friends and family and never have been treated such a way. Unfortunately due to this experience, I’m sorry to say that they have lost my business.
