Coffee was good, service was just OK, environment could have been really nice and inviting but something was off and it was chaotic and off-putting instead.

We found this shop while looking for a breakfast spot. The croissant breakfast sandwiches and cinnamon roll were phenomenal. The staff encouraging, and super clean. Thanks so much😎.

This is such a special place. The people were friendly and patient with the customers who didnt know what they wanted. The coffee & food were really good. The message behind this place is inspiring. Next time Im in town, I definitely will go here!

I just moved here found the place by accident. The people are always friendly and service is great. The coffee is amazing much rather their coffee over Starbucks. Sorry if Im not suppose to say that. You gals are awesome

This place is so deserving of 5 stars! Was looking at coffee shops to go to while staying in Minden for a couple of days, and came across The Broken Bean! First thing we realized when getting there was that its operated by Louisiana Adult and Teen Challenge, which was awesome. All of the ladies here were so nice, patient, and helpful. Very great atmosphere inside. The food and coffee were equally delicious, and I ended up coming here every morning for breakfast! Will definitely recommend this spot to anyone coming to the area, and wish there were more businesses like this near me!

This business is portrayed as having down home cooked meals. I chose to sit at a table next to their pantry to realize that everything that they serve is bought from the local grocery store and comes out of a can or a frozen box. Was highly disappointed when I realized that theyre baked goods are not made from scratch. Just imagine what this business could do if they actually cook things themselves? And Im not going to even mention how rude the front staff was. I went to this place twice in one week and was appalled at the lack of professionalism and rudeness of the employees. If you are looking for a home-cooked meal, this is not the place for you. Also their prices reflect those of providing home cooked meals. Save yourself some money and go open up your own can of soup. Youll save about $10

My family and I moved from Tyler, TX in June. This is the best place ever for coffee/drinks, sweet treats/beignets! and lunch. The women here are lovely as well as friendly(and so is the atmosphere). Really grateful to live in such a quaint town.

Home town treasure! Food is great, prices are right. The ladies are more than happy to help you figure out what you want if you dont know (story of my life). The next time youre girl cant give you a straight answer to, where do you want to eat?, take her here. Atmosphere is peaceful and cozy. If your there at the top of the hour you can enjoy the church bells tolling the time. I love that sound! 🥰 If you are still on the fence, just go!!!! Thank me later.

Such great service. Friendly and super helpful. Supports a worthy cause. The atmosphere is fabulous I could spend my whole day there. Breakfast and lunch items available. They roast their own beans which you can purchase as well as other items made by the people who work there that support Teen Challenge.

Wonderful atmosphere here, the sweet coffees are lovely, my taste of straight espresso was not to preference(lacked crema, was little more than weak coffee). Lovely service though, with an inviting atmosphere; I liked it here a lot.

This is a great small town coffee shop! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming as well as the staff. The first time I went in I placed my order incorrectly and when the lady noticed my shocked face after that first so, she asked if everything was ok and I told I think I ordered the wrong thing. She immediately offered to replace my drink with what I thought I had ordered and told me how to order correctly the next time. Since then Ive gotten exactly what I wanted and it was delicious!!

I worked here a couple of months & absolutely love the woman who work & run the Broken Bean! They all have sweet hearts & care more about the next person than themselves, they make sure to make you feel special each time you come in. They are amazing, the food is perfect & U highly recommend anyone who hasnt tried it yet, go!

I went for the first time last week and loved this place. Super cute decor. Lots of nice corners to sit and relax. I had a mocha frap and the chicken salad sandwich. They were both delicious. I have been telling everyone about this place and will be making more visits soon.

The atmosphere is great. Baristas are very knowledgeable and quick with service. But best of all is the coffee. It is freshly roasted and ground to perfection. Everyone should support this excellent small business.

They brewed a fresh pot of dark roast just for me! And boy was it nice, rich, and strong. So strong I recommended they call it Chew the Bean dark roast!
