This place is beautiful with a lot of fascinating history. They allow you to taste test the waters, and I was instantly sold. The #4 water has such an interesting flavor profile, and tastes as if youre drinking it directly from the source. This coming from someone who regularly says almost all water tastes the same. This water does not, it stands out. And the wells the water comes from are all on the property. Now as to its healing properties, I cant comment. I can say I had a great day after drinking it, but that couldve been the great company I was with. π The staff is knowledgeable about the history of the place and is extremely nice. If youre in the area, check it out and have yourself some #4 Crazy Water. You wont be disappointed.
Nice place to visit in a town with a lot of history. The shop is small. I was a fan of the water before coming here, and read about the history. A small shop to buy things, the soda made on site from crazy fizzy water was good. Take a trip and get some. The spa is next door. The original Crazy Water Hotel is at 1st and 4th. Check out the Baker Hotel while youre here. Its the tallest building in town and the most famous.
Quaint little shop surrounded by gardens. You can taste the different mineral waters from wells that are on the same property and purchase mineral water in various size jugs including 5 gallons to put on your water home dispenser. Theres also a bath house so you can soak. Fun relaxing environment. Will return.
This place is a blast! Everyone should come taste the mineral water and enjoy watching this enterprise help get the economy booming in Mineral Wells. Its a very well maintained property with a lot of charm and some quirky souvenirs as well. My family heritage is from Palo Pinto county, and Im really enjoying the Crazy Water and its role in a Mineral Wells renaissance.
I always delight in going here and the prices are right. Remember, you are getting top grade quality well water than has been processed to 4 different levels ( 1 is as it comes out of the well with all minerals. However, beware. Number four can act as a laxitive . So you probably want to by it by the small bottles.I am 71 and if my load is heavy, they always want to bear part of my load .
Bill usually delivers water for me but I only needed 2 qty. 3 gallon jugs. So I just loaded the empties up and drove down there. The young man that helped me fill my bottle was so helpful and kind to take my full bottles to the car! Very pleasant!
This place was really cool. I love the Crazy Water #3. If you visit, make sure you get a flavored Crazy Fizz. So good.
Interesting day trip. We loved it!
Rude and abrupt cashier, obviously she has never heard of customer service. We came on a whim just because we had never been to this town before, and this seemed like a nice stop but upon entering we were just met with a glare. Not even a welcome in. We made our purchase and left. It was a cute store with a small town feel and the quality of goods was great, just wish we had felt more welcome :(
Customer service is outstanding! We drive almoat and hour each way to get our water, so beneficial for overall health. I would suggest to call and give them a courtesy heads up for a good sized order.
Historic mineral water retailer with a small museum and gift shop. The awesome employees were knowledgeable and friendly. Try the 4 formulas of mineral waters they sell here, vintage postcards, custom stoneware growlers, tshirts, stickers and other small souvenirs. Try the craft sodas made with their own mineral waters. A CANNOT-MISS HISTORIC LOCATION IN A GREAT TOWN!
Very cool and fun stop to make on a road trip.
Crazy Water on tap. They will mix Crazy Water with the flavors you choose to make a custom soda, while you wait. Not too sugary. They also have balsamic vinegar flavors like Elderberry. You can buy all the different numbers of Crazy Water by the bottle, case, or jug. The staff is nice. Always worth the visit!!
The water is awesome. I loved the cream raspberry drink. The workers are lovely
The quality of the water is outstanding. You can choose from four waters which each have a greater or lesser mineral content. I prefer #3 but all are high quality H20!
Wonder service and the water is wonderful
Awesome staff water was crazy nice place to go
Just another cool experience added to my memories! Trying all 4 levels of Mineral Water! They all taste different. Level 4 basically tastes like sweaty water but its hella good for you! Dont be fooled by the flava! Cute souvenirs and the building itself is gorgeous. Historic stuff to look at inside too. Love love love!
Love this little shop! Small but has a good selection of different items made from the Crazy Water mineral water. Lotions, soaps, massage oils, body wash etc. Also has candles, hats, t-shirts, post cards, coffee cups, etc. And, of course, the Crazy water! Prices are reasonable if on the a bit highside for touristy type items as with most tourist/souvenir type shops but decent prices on the water.
Very busy, didnt have the time to wait, it was closing time.
I wanted the different mineral waters to try and they had them plus soaps, lotions, t- shirts and other soveigner items.
One of our stops on our girls trip!Wonderful time spent here.
Tastie mineral water. Lots of products to choose from.
My mom and our caregiver Sheila took a day trip back to Mineral Wells, where our family lived from 1966 to 1972. It was a beautiful, sunny day.I have been back many times by myself, taking pics of the Old Lady, the Baker Hotel, which is finally, after all these decades, in the process of a full renovation, price tag $65 million. We stopped by the Famous Water Company, which doubles as a sort of tourist stop for the town.I bought a 4-pack of water, with a bottle each of #1, #2, #3 and #4, their most potent. I also picked up a ceramic coffee cup, hand-made and good quality (and pricey, I realized when the bill came). The site--original--is very attractively landscaped. We saw trucks coming and going, each being loaded with the mineral water. Its obvious theyre selling a lot of what made Mineral Wells famous.
Always quick and friendly service. I love the No. 4.
Love this water. Just brought four 5-gal jugs to get filled for the first time. Cute little shop with Crazy Water clothes, bottles, etc. The woman filled my jugs and even loaded them into my car. Great service. Saves me a lot of money compared to buying in-store.
God send. Great little village, great product. Friendly ppl.
Wonderful place with a lot of history. Good seating area to sit & enjoy the shade while drinking water.
Famous Water Co. has bottled water from each of the four wells in Mineral Wells, Texas. They have the water 1 through 4 based on natural levels of lithium available. They can ship the water, just contact Famous Water Co. for specific information.
Love the Crazy water! The staff takes the water out to your car for you.
Best water ever! Once youve tried it you cant drink any other water!
Sodas were awesome.
I had the whole spa treatment which was relaxing. My hair was really soft with their water. Also purchased gifts in their gift shop and a supply of their Famous Water to take home. I really enjoyed my visit and would highly recommend it as a point of interest and a destination lication.
Worth the drive if you love in the Dallas area. Nice quite quaint town like I grew up in. My son and I got the #3. I gave mine too him dive that is too much magnesium for me.
Always a must when we visit town. My wife and I love the No. 4. I recommend the crazy fizz water as well. The staff are full of knowledge about the history behind the water and its role in the city. We love stopping in, having a free sample and stocking up before we head home. You can also order online now!
This review is NOT about the water. Rather its on their CUSTOMER service, for those who refill water. So the owner or whatever position she holds, CAROL...decided NOT to replace the 5 gallon glass bottle which one of their employees dropped.. It was made of glass. We were glad that she wasnt injured. We prefer glass to plastic. Carol feels that a mere store credit is somehow sufficient for my loss. According to her, her employees are NOT allowed to carry glass bottles under any circumstances. I respect this policy as I told her but, my question is, why did the employee TOUCH my property then? My husband and I send his grandmother to refill water for us since Im pregnant. A young man who worked there told us a while back that IT IS PART OF OF HIS JOB TO CARRY THE WATER BOTTLES INTO THE CAR. I wish I remembered his name since every time we went there, he loaded us up.I just dont understand how this magical policy, which we dont have a problem with popped up only after an employee who clearly doesnt even seem to be aware of the policy. We spoke to Elizabeth, the manager and she was polite over the phone and never mentioned such. This RUDE lady who thinks destruction of property warrants some sort of credit needs to understand that there are people who take their health seriously and therefore even replacing the water with more of the same in a plastic bottle is not beneficial. As a business owner as she claims to be, she needs more education on management and customer service and common sense in handling situations wont hurt.
Amazing place to visit! Try all the water!
The lady working here was very knowledgeable of the history of the mineral wells, water and the town. You can taste the different levels of mineral water and buy them at this location. They have a variety of other things for sale also. There are historical pictures as well as old items from history of the water and other old items on display. I do recommend stopping by to check it out.
Its not bad
If you are in the area I highly suggest coming here. They have lots of little things showing the city in its golden age and of course the crazy water! The water itself has different levels of mineral content so you can choose which one you like best. They can also let you try each level so you know for sure. The people are nice and the area is fun. They also have shirts, post cards, cups, soap, massage lotion, and more! They also have little things for the baker hotel which is just down the street, so this is definitely a fun place to be!
I love this place! The history, the courtyard, and of course, the water! We get the 5 gallons of #2 water for our water cooler. I like to go and drink samples of the higher mineral content waters, too. Its also got souvenirs for tourists and the courtyard outside is gorgeous!
Fun little stop in Mineral Wells, the water really is crazy! 4 different levels each with increasing mineral counts; worth the stop of you are driving by! Also nice little gift shop with crazy water memorabilia
Its a fun spot. I love the crazy water samples! All the neat soap options are great. They also carry some really cool merchandise.
Staff was so friendly and helpful. Be sure to try a cream soda, delicious.
This is a neat place with EXCELLENT mineral water. If you bring your own jugs they will fill them for you at a reasonable cost. They also have prebottled water, soaps and lotions for purchase. I expected to be able to see or tour, but there doesnt appear to be much to see. Either way, worth a stop.
Very friendly!! And a really neat place to go.
Great way to pick up Crazy Water brand alkaline water from the source. They also offer 1 liter glass bottles of alkaline water (#3), which are hard to find elsewhere. We also picked up a treat of a flavored soda (flavored syrup added to sparkling water) They offer a wide range of syrup flavors including cherry limeade, mango peach and grape. No tours are offered.
This is the last place that you can buy the famous Mineral Wells water. They have 4 different strengths and you can buy all in cases or individual bottles. They allow free samples and they have lots of merchandise if you want to bring somebody a gift.
I drink #4 most of the time.Sparkling water is good also. The sales people are true Texas polite, respectful, and helpful. If you havent been there, I suggest you go try it.
Fast and friendly.
I have been drinking this water (#3) for the last 6 years exclusively. It makes the best coffee or tea ever!!!!!!! My memory improved after drinking it for about 8 months. It stopped the psoriasis on my hands after about 1 year. Think about it people, our bodies need minerals to be healthy and the closer to nature you find them the more you absorb. Time for a update, been drinking #3 now for 10 years still LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!
Great little place. Tasty water and friendly faces. Will be back soon
Neat town π
If you visit Mineral Wells this is a must stop place. It sits just a few blocks from the Baker Hotel. You can sample all the different types of water they offer. Great Crazy Water merch too. You can do the minimum and just drink the water to taking a great micro bath or massage.
Small interesting historical place to visit.
Interesting. We bought two cases. Looks like Mineral Wells is trying to make a comeback and Crazy Water is doing their part to make it happen.
What a lovely little shop! Not only did they have their delicious water, but they also had soaps, oils, and a fantastic selection of postcards to choose from! Friendly, helpful customer service!
Ive heard alot about their Crazy Water so I decided to check it out. The facility was very quaint with great product display! Ive been drinking mineral water for a while & this product is outstanding!
Well we didnt get to see anything because it was a holiday the Memorial Day holiday and so everything was closed down but the place looks pretty cool on the outside lot of different things to see were going to try and make a trip back when theyre open and go through the the company itself and do some more sightseeing

Always come here when traveling and grab a few bottles. Spread the word about crazy water!
They sell water with different levels of minerals. Numbered 1-4 with 1 being the lowest concentration of minerals to 4 with the highest concentration of minerals. Each has its own unique taste. Was worth the detour.
