Excellent bacon double cheeseburger deluxe. The crinkle fries were tasteless and desperately needed salt. Mozzarella sticks needed to be hotter, the cheese didnt string out at all.Got a double scoop of moose tracks in a regular cake cone for dessert, it was huge and delicious.Our car hop was friendly and knowledgeable.

Was told by a few people to check out these peanut butter bacon cheese burgers. Excellent ownership, Excellent taste and Excellent service. Used to be a lot of Bonnie Doons here where I live and now there is only 1, sadly. I tip my hat to the Owner and his staff for keeping up the tradition. Wish I would have ordered some Ice cream. This was a unique experience for my family and I, as the closest thing we have to a drive in diner is Sonic. This establishment gives you an authentic experience that you dont want to miss out on. Due to Covid, at the time of our visit the restaurant wasnt allowing anyone to dine in. We all thought the food was excellent and the prices of food very affordable. The kids thought the kids meals being served in classic cars was a super cool idea.

On a recent vacation to the area, I heard that there was only one Bonnie Doon restaurant left and this was it. as a child I went here with my grandparents. When I pulled up and saw the old fashion drive-in in the old fashion sign, floods of memories came over me. With my grandparents now gone and myself getting older, it was such a simple joy to go here and get the choco mint soda with a side of their crinkle cut fries.The service was excellent from start to finish. And the best part was that the soda and the fries tasted exactly as I remembered from my childhood. I dont know if the owners understand what an important place this is for the South Bend and Mishawaka area.this is a place where grandparents take their children and those children grow up and then take their children. I think four generations of our family have been coming here. Its wonderful that places like this still exist

Man theyre hands down the best. Burgers, Blt sandwiches, French fries too. Let me tell ya about that coffee oreo fudge ice cream they have there....its to die for! Great service from the staff too. Never had an issue. Love this place!!!

Wow what can I say. It really takes you back in time. Who doesnt love an old car hop? The prices are great & if you order a basket meal, it comes with a drink. I will include the menu so you can check out their prices. They are great in every way! If you are near South Bend, Indiana look them up. So worth it. I recommend the Chicken fingers & fries basket. You cant go wrong with the burgers either!

Ive always loved coming to Bonnie Doon, and every time I do I end up spending forever figuring out what to order! Theres so many options for ice cream. I went recently and spent a whole 7 minutes staring at the menu. When I finally ordered, I didnt even have to wait long for it to be ready. ☺️

The food is pretty decent the burgers taste like 5 guys and theyre awesome. Fries are typical crinkle cut and nothing to rave about. The ice cream is very good. For a family of 5 we all got meals and a small sundae we spent $60 so it averages on price and time was about 10 minutes. Overall I suggest giving it a try if you havent. This was our first time going and we will be back.

Bonnie Doon is a family-friendly classic ice cream shop and drive in diner. An excellent place to take kids and get some food and enjoy the nostalgia of a time that seems to be slowly fading into antiquity. A place to take your classic car and meet others who share in that passion or strike up conversation.

Ordered a vanilla and caramel shake couldnt tell the difference between the two! I found a brunette hair at the bottom of my shake, which was so disappointing, my whole appetite was lost. I paid for a cheese burger and instead got a regular burger no cheese. I was so sad at the experience! Also a waffle cone on my order was brought out dripping. Gloves and hair nets for food delivery would be awesome too; the young man that brought out food almost had our cone laying on his shirtand his bare hand was like inches from the cone . Also we had to reheat our burgers once we got home. It wasnt worth $43 at all, sadly.

The fries were burned. The pulled pork tasted like ground up shoe strings. Would never go there again.

Food is always good. Not sure why it took about an hour for 2 burgers and fries while other cars pulled in 45 minutes after I ordered and got their order before me. And worst of all I tipped $5 for a $17 order.

Strawberry shake with a Patty Melt was EXACTLY what I needed. Sautéed onions with cheese and 2 burger patties on toasted rye was GREAT!!

Icecream is great. Tried to call an order to go and they put me on hold and hung up on me. Food was awful. They wanted to know if I wanted lettuce and tomato on my BLT. Forgot half of order. Waited another 30 min for fries to have them come out brown and burnt. Bacon was so chewy after awhile I had to just spit out. Everyones order around us was all messed up. Sad because they used to have good food.

My wife ordered Hawaiian ice cream slices for her parents 50th anniversary party on July 28, 2021. I was with her, heard the phone call and have the phone record to show the order was placed July 20th, 2021. She ordered 8 boxes of 8 ice cream slices. When the order was taken, she was told it would not be a problem and the order will be ready for pick up on Tuesday, July 27. Today, Tuesday July 27th, we went to pick up the ice cream order and was informed they did not have the order ready nor did they 6have the requested amount needed. The server stated the requested amount would be a available on Friday July 30th. My wife informed the server the event was tomorrow and 32 slices would not be enough for all the guests who RSVPd. The server suggested calling the manager, however, the number we were given was the number at the drive in and the manager was off for the night. Needless to say, I am NOT impressed with the service and failure to fill an order placed in the time frame required.

The pork tenderloin was really good. So were the onions rings. Really friendly service.

The most wonderful place to drive in, reminds me of my childhood, the Boonie Burger is to die for, and dont get me started on the old fashion root beer floats. If you are in Mishawaka you must stop by. You might even see a few old cars there from time to time.

Every bite was perfect! The wait was a bit long but well worth it.

It took atleast 20 mins of sitting at a table til we were noticed and finally received menus. As a family we sat there another 30 minutes as employees passed us up one by one. After over an hour of completely being ignored by each and every employee who seen us we gave up. We were never greeted after menus were given and we were never served. The children were very upset, but we left. Very unprofessional experience. I only hope others dont have the same experience my family and I had.

I enjoy Bonnie Doon and love the drive up concept. No rollerskates, but your food is brought to your vehicle. There is seating inside and out, restrooms available. The variety of ice creams are great! There is a weekly car show in the summer, the store closes for the winter. The only thing I didnt care for was the quality of meat seems to have decreased.

I went with my wife and daughters in our vehicle. My sister and her children were in her car next to us. My niece ordered for herself, her mom and brother before we ordered. My wife ordered for us. We ordered a lot more than them as well as after them. We ordered food. They ordered ice cream. Why and how did we get our food before them? I started to pay attention and it wasnt just us that got our food extremely fast, every white person that pulled in was getting faster service than my sister. What made it even more sad is that a couple of the servers appeared to be black. They can miss me.

I like nostalgia. This place gushes all of that plus Im basic. Burgers are out of this world. Hot dogs are good. And allegedly they are known for their ice cream, and allegedly its the best ice cream in the world. And I allegedly agree with that. Because Ive allegedly had a truck loads worth in my lifetime. Im not proud of that. But I like it anyway.

The hard and soft ice cream were both very good. I got the peanut butter cup and my wife got the strawberry hot fudge sundae. Nice local place with and old school feel!

Whats there really to say? Its an old drive-in restaurant. Small on the inside but its the only Bonnie Doons in the area now and it brings back memories for me. Food is amazing and if youre not a fan of it then why are you reading this. Probably the biggest burger Ive had from them had 4 or 5 patties on it. Big variety of ice cream and they sell it in gallons also.
