If you want to learn how to ride I strongly suggest finding a family or friend to teach you some basics then come to this class. One of the instructors was very rude, unprofessional, and agressive in his communication making it a very uninspiring and stressful environment. The course felt more like it was testing you than teaching you, so I would recommend any true first time rider to get comfortable with the basics before attending.
Hi Everyone! I passed California Motorcyclist Safety Program Motorcycle Training Course (CHP-sponsored California Motorcyclist Safety Course) ( class M1) 2 weeks ago. Teor program very well selected material, understandable. Practice was perfect, instructors tried their best to transmit and teach practical motorcycle riding skills. I want to note the deep professionalism of the instructors. Motorcycles and equipment are in good condition. When I passed this California Motorcyclist Safety Program Motorcycle Training Course (CHP-sponsored California Motorcyclist Safety Course), I got sertificate in the next 2-3 days, after that I passed the theoretical exam in just two minutes at the DMV. I recommend it ! 🦾
I’m a 61 year old and fairly new motorcycle owner who definitely needed the basics... The class was a great investment in learning great basic skills that will make me a safer motorcycle rider. The Saddleback instructors were very professional, courteous instructors interested in one thing only... To make me a responsible, knowledgeable, safe motorcycle rider. The overall goal to know how to maneuver my bike confidently, safely and skillfully. I plan on taking the intermediate course before the summer of 2020. And eventually the advanced class! I took the two day course August 31 and September 1st 2019.Thanks guys!
Just got home from a retake examination. This company has been extremely professional from my first training, my failed exam, and my retake. Today I was with Mike and Vaughn as my coaches and these two were so good at making an otherwise very stressful day, very fun! They were sharp in noticing my mistakes, and quickly helped me correct them. Can’t recommend this team enough!!
Its been some years since I took the class but I had such a fantastic experience I still reccomend it to people today. It was a perfect environment for a first timer and plenty of other females. Great mix of people who come from seasoned riders to absolute first timers and teenagers to middle ages, total spectrum. Nothing intimidating about it and great instruction.
I took the Basic Course, this past weekend. Its been 25 years since Ive crashed my last few dirt bikes back in Texas. So, I wanted to freshen up. I have never been on the street, though. But now, I want my license. Truthfully, I thought this class was mandatory to get my license in Cali. Never the less, I am so glad I took this course!!! It was great! In the classroom our instructor, Starlord, was excellent. He kept our attention with good information & humor. He was open to all questions as well as having the answers. Thank you, Ted!On the range Mike & Glen were equally as awesome! They made sure we understood exactly what we were doing & why we were doing it that way. It helps to understand how to complete the objectives, when you know why youre doing it that way. Again, both were great at answering questions. It was obvious that they both were very knowledgeable & patient. Thank you, Glen & Mike!Im sure for all the instructors (range & classroom) this gets monotone. But, you couldnt tell. Ted, Glen, & Mike all seemed eager to help, teach, & make the experience enjoyable!I will definitely take the Intermediate Course, they offer!Thank you SRT! Yall are great.
As a novice I was a little apprehensive but the instructors immediately put us at ease by treating everyone as a beginner to build your skills from the ground up. The two day class has classroom sessions each morning (multiple choice exam on day 2) with the afternoon sessions reserved for the fun part of riding bikes on a closed course with skills practice. Highly recommend this school and the instructors, especially Dave and Dan!
This class taught me what i needed to real world riding. It was fun but challenging. Ive bought my first bike now and would definatly recommend to everyone
Had a fantastic experience this past weekend with SRT. The classroom portion of the class was lively and the two different instructors each brought stories and personality to the material to help bring it to life. The range work on ths motorcycles was challenging and very informative. They truly taught us techniques that will save our lives one day. This is not a paper mill so expect to be challenged but it was not so tough as to induce panic before the written or practical material. Ill probably go back before years end to take their advanced course.
Great experience! The instructors are well informed about the best practices and the science behind them. I have been riding for a few years now but there were plenty of things I learnt like the most optimum riding position, better cornering techniques, etc. The course is structured to be at the right pace so I was never bored or felt it was too fast. Regardless of your experience, theres something for everyone to learn.
Classroom can be slow, but the content is extremely valuable, especially as a beginner to intermediate rider. The application is great and you spend a lot of time on the bikes.
This course is really helpful, I would like to thank all the trainers crew.
Best thing you can do for yourself, a new riders must, the instructors are all cool
I totally love saddleback rider training, great class to learn how to correctly ride, this class should be mandatory for all new riders! The whole class is awesome, highly recommend SRT!
Great program. Knowledgeable. Dave was an encyclopedia of experience and facts.
Cool people and really want to help you which is very hard to find in any service industry these days. Keep up the good work!
I had a blast. Learned so much from the instructors Dave, Doc and Joseph.
I attended the CMSP Motorcycle Training Course to waive the driving portion of the motorcycle license endorsement. I have previous riding experience having ridden a dirtbike for several years, and have ridden as a passenger of a motorcycle for even longer so I was fairly familiar with the mechanics of riding on the road. Additionally I had my permit and practiced for months before taking the class.I had Carl and Doc as my instructors for this course. They pack a lot of information into the class and it goes by very quickly. The instructors are very knowledgeable, helpful, patient, and professional. They will teach you everything from the ground up having never even seen a motorcycle before. This should be a requirement for every rider. I used my own equipment (motorcycle and gear) so I cannot speak to any of those components, but they did have helmets, gloves, and motorcycles for you to borrow if you need them. The instructors gave very helpful tips throughout the riding portion, even if you think youve got it down, theyll give you something to think about and work on.The classroom material can make you a more observant and aware rider and driver. the SRT program goes above and beyond by providing snacks and drinks during the classroom portion and water during the riding portion. This is very helpful to those that forgot to get or bring breakfast or water for throughout the day. We rode rain and shine, be prepared if it rains, because youll still ride unless there is lightning.I highly recommend everyone that would like to get the motorcycle endorsement on their license to take this course, it WILL make you a better rider. I definitely recommend Saddleback Rider Training because I had a great experience there with the very knowledgeable and personable instructors, comfortable environment, and well kept riding area.
Great instructors they make understanding what the course teaches easy and fun, the riding portion of the course is informative and fun I highly recommend this program.
I went a couple weeks ago and after passing this class I went yesterday and took my written test. It was 25 questions for the M1 test and I had to do 18 for my DL test because they wanted me to just renew it now since it was coming up.. I missed 2 for the M1 and 1 for the DL. So I passed and SRT covered every single question on there so you have to be retarded to not pass both the class or the DMV test. Thanks guys Ill be back for the intermediate class
Great class it was actually fun and although i been riding big bikes for 20 years i still learned some new stuff
The instructors were very skilled, friendly and made learning alot of fun. The class really expanded my knowledge of motorcycle control and I would highly reccomend this class to anyone who is interested in riding or is looking to learn to ride better.
Had food and water for you. Nice staff. Very professional.
The course, as a whole, greatly exceeding my expectations. Having been a relatively active rider before, I assumed I would be bored for about 90% of the class. That was not the case in the least. The classroom lessons were fun and interactive. The instructions were poignant and precise. The riding coursework was slow at the start (expected) but gradually accelerated to push the boundaries of new riders and provided a pleasant experience for the number of us who were experienced. The riding coaches were extremely knowledgeable and maintained their professionalism all the while accurately gauging the groups sense of humor and kept the mood fun and enjoyable.I will recommend SRT to anyone in the greater OC/LA/SD area as the best possible riding training without even the slightest glimmer of reservation!
Awesome, professional training. You learn a lot in a single weekend.
Had driven bicycles for ages, and manual tranny, as well as a couple of rides on a friends scooter some 20 years ago... so no motorcyce experience. Not only am I comfortable with riding but I have a clear idea of what bikes Im interested in, and what to wotk on when I get. It was fun, low risc and extremly informative; staff are very knowledgeable, and great human beings. Also made a lot of friends. Highly recomended. Also took the morning course, we started with drills and then backed it up wi thoery. Making it a more that means it a more hands on type of course, plus in the morning the sun is more forgiving. Enroll for a life enriching experience youll cherish for years to come-
They really dont teach much on the basics. I think its a waste of money
Immediately after the test, gloves, shoes, helmets and even pants were provided during the road test, and the coach was very good.
