Let me say.... this place had a good old fashioned diner food and old diner service!I was treated well, there was way too much food and my coffee never went empty, nor did I have to ask!Other places could learn from these folks!
This is the friendliest breakfast spot I’ve ever been in. Excellent food, fast and attentive service and everyone on staff was all smiles. We’re just in town for one more day but we will be back tomorrow morning for the early bird special on our drive out. I wish this place were back home! Thanks for such a great experience!
This was my familys first time here and we had a great experience. Our hostess and server were very friendly and helpful in helping us decide what to get! We got the waffle special, bacon waffles, the prime rib special and the waffle house special omelet. It was delicious and filling. Thank you for the great experience, even my kids loved it. I love it here, lets come back again!
Well oiled machine! Great breakfast and they are quick but the pancakes (not a pancake fan) are the best. The link sausage is amazing! The place needs an update but it you want a great breakfast this is the place. It gets packed but no worries they are faasssttt!
Portions are smaller than a few years ago BUT same delicious quality and excellent service.Side note as a repeat customer over the years I would gladly pay more for the same portion size I have grown to expect through the years than pay the same for less food.Side note my wife asked me how my chicken fried steak was and I replied excellent then looked down to take another bite then realized that I had ate it all without realizing because it was probably half the size that I remember.
This has to be one of the best breakfast diners I’ve ever been to. Service was exceptional, food was DELICIOUS, the diner was quaint and simple but warm and welcoming, and the prices were perfect. Unfortunately, I live in Florida and won’t be returning to Modesto anytime soon. But if I could, I would be in that diner just about every morning.Love it when I find small gems so unexpectedly!

The food was good and the staff was polite. I didnt take pics this time having invited family. There was a homessman sleeping out front of the restaurant, pretty sad. The location isnt in the greatest area.
From the service to the food everything was outstanding and on point. And delicious. First time me and the wife left our plates empty. Highly recommend.

The chicken and waffle is really. The server is very attentive. The only thing I didnt like was the cups it looks dirty and the silverware too. Theres a lot of water spots.
The food was excellent. Tables for his face to take care of the social distancing. And we had a great time the wait staff was very pleasant.

I called to place a pick-up order and I was put on hold for 15 mins. I ended the call and called one more time and they don’t answer. So don’t waste your time, so much for supporting a small business. iHop it is, I guess.

Been going here for breakfast for years. I always get breakfast and dont know how good lunch is. I love their omelettes and pancakes! The Waffle Shop special and Greek omelet ( in pic) are amazing! Coffee is good and always fresh. Staff are friendly and nice. Love coming here and always find a coupon in my mailbox. Will not let you down, especially if you are hungry!

We waited very long for our food snd two of the booths did not have lighting, including ours. It was difficult for my elderly father to read the menu.

Ive always been a big fan of the Waffle Shop on Floyd and Coffee. Now, during the pandemic, Im an even BIGGER fan! Their menu can be ordered to go and our order was ready within 20 minutes on a Sunday morning! Our meals came in separate containers to make sure things stayed fresh. Your waffle will come home with you HOT AND FRESH!
This use to be our weekly breakfast place, but we got it today and wow what a disappointment,simple bacon avocado omelet was unetible there was way to much burned bacon, seemingly a maybe 2egg omelet, hashbrowns werent cooked all the way, the avacodo was one little slice and placed in a big box, just overall bad breakfast with no standards of food anymore...its to bad, andwe will not be going there again...

Fast service, good food. We did take out and enjoyed our food, had everything we needed, ketchup, syrup, tobacco, plasticware and napkins.
The waffles here, with any type of fruit, or the French toast are both DELICIOUS!! Been here 4 times at least, and Id eat it over velvet grill creamery or nasty a** Perkos or Dennys or ihop any day of the week!
My family & I were visiting our Papa & he wanted some bacon & eggs but didnt know where to go. I looked up on Google Maps & this restaurant had great reviews & so we came. Our Papa said he used to come here all the time with his friends & coming here just added more joy to his day. We enjoyed everything. Thank you for your services & delicious food.
I must say I’m pretty bummed, one of my favorite places to eat is no more.Bait and switch at the finest.Their prices are NOT THE SAME as they are in the restaurant, they do not tell you this when you call them and place an order.. it only was everything at least 4$ more than the listed price but they also didn’t give back the correct amount of change, I had to go back in and get the change back, I told the dude which stuff i ordered and he literally told me “well I gave you this one, so you have to pay for this one” even though it’s not the one I ordered, needless to say I will not be back here.

I took my kids there for brunch and awesome friendly waitresses and I am a big breakfast person and let me tell you so tasty and cooked so well flavorful, the pancakes my daughter loved said they were bomb and unless its my cooking she never said that Definitely recommend this place Awesome service and the foods the same

Literally the best food. Just wish they would update their hours on google; google says 3:00, the sign on the restaurant says dine in closes at 2:00, and we were turned away at 1:45. What’s the truth?

Sunday, 8-29 1:30pm, I stopped by for lunch. Google maps and the sign of the entry door indicated closing at 3pm. A waitress said that they closed at 2pm and offered takeout but not seating. I declined and left.

Holy sweet goodness!!!! Never in my life had a waffle that was so light crusted, buttery, melt in your mouth like cotton candy yet filling. If there is better out there...I have not found it.They get us.As soon as you walk in the the door the right smells hit you and spontaneously get you salivating. No disappointments. Now I know why they dont advertise. If you eat at this place...your a customer for life.

Cheap food and the scene here is excellent. Dropped in on Mon I think. The staff was very welcoming and observant. The bill was reasonable I would say.

The customer service is amazing. The food is awesome and the portions are huge. Love this place. They prepared my coffee to go. We ate more than our bellies could contain because it was that good. I am so glad we found this place, totally coming back for more. The place is clean and just an overall great atmosphere. 😀

Came here for the first time, with my 12 year old son & hid friend. It was Sunday morning at 9:00 & it was packed. The line was very long, but somehow we got seated very fast. Only stood in line for about 10min. We got seated & they served us drinks right away. The menu was well organized & had alot of breakfast options. I ordered the waffle combo my son got a full stack of chocolate chip pancakes & his friend got cheese omelet w/country potatoes, biscuits & gravy. It seemed like the food took forever to come out, we where very hungry. When they brought us the food it was very tasteful. The waffle was fluffy & light, eggs cooked to perfection, sausages nice & plump. My sons pancakes where delicious, he said. I tried the biscuit & gravy, they where great. All the food was excellent.
More than enough food to eat and the owners are good people. Have eaten there for many years.
I love the food every time I come, but today wasn’t a so friendly environment there was 3-4 ladies no one smiled or greeted us, I asked for two waters one had hair in it and the other smelled like bbq sauce. So we asked for two more they brought one but didn’t bring the other one until we asked again. One of the waiters was named patty she wasn’t so friendly. She just seemed like she didn’t care.

The waitress are very friendly and helpful. Theres one named Sarah shes always happy has a smile on her face. And they all go back and forth to see if we need any thing. Like coffee. Ketchup, hot sauce. I ordered around waffle it has a lot of whipped cream going all the way around and strawberries in the middle fresh ones. Have a choice of bacon or sausage or you could choose one of each. And one eggAnd what I liked They did have sugar free syrup 😆 the food was good and delicious😛 Thank you once satisfied customer.
Waffle Shop on Coffee Road is one of my favorite go-to places for breakfast food! Their service is always above and beyond and not to mention if it is super hot and Super Fresh and the easy and flavor I would always recommend this restaurant before your breakfast means or run I just wish they were open past 3 p.m.
Good, old style coffee shop (not Starbucks like, more like independent Dennys or better yet a Jerrys). Prices are resonable, classic breakfast and lunch selections. Great place if you love waffles (bacon pecan is my favorite) or omelets. Kids menu available, good service too.

Weve been eating here for a while. The food is very good consistantly. The waitresses are some of the best anywhere. Always smiling, filling your request and just so nice. Both breakfast and lunch are good. The place is clean and the prices are reasonable.
The breakfast I have is always delicious. It comes fast, hot, and tasty. There customer service is great. We go as many times as we are able to. We dont go to any other breakfast establishment. This place is that good.

Its very slow. We went there and had to wait 20 minutes and another customer was seated and served before they took our order so we left. Theyre friendly when they do help you. Food tastes good. Good breakfast and lunch place. Family friendly. Parking is ok. Never too crowded.

Ive been here several times, either Saturday or Sunday for breakfast.The staff is very friendly which makes people feel at homeEvery time that I went there the place was busy (never been there during the week).The food is prepared as expected. One only downside. I believe that they should fix their ventilation system. The gray smoke produced by the kitchen fills the whole dining area and you can literally see it. This makes also the meal not very pleasant.Needless to say, youll carry the smell of smoke outside of the restaurant.Please fix this issue.

Great service and large portions, but worst egg benedict Ive ever had. Had to send it back the first time because the yolk was cooked through on one and the other didnt have a yoke, the ham and sauce was also not good, ham was way too salty, and I like salt. Cheap ingredients and high priced menu. If you want food similar to Dennys at a higher price, this is your place.
This place may not seem like much, but it is honestly my favorite place for breakfast in Modesto. I am addicted to their waffles. Excellent food for an outstanding price. Would highly recommend. Not for the vegan friendly eaters though :-(
Very good food and fast service. The prices are fair and the servings are large. Large sausages, yummy waffles, 7 oz. Breakfast steaks, many menu choices, and specials. We gothere for breakfast at least 5 times a month. 5 stars.
My wife and I come here to enjoy the good food and drinks. We like the country setting they provide. Good service, good coffee.
