Yeah. These people are rude. They made me pay upfront, and when I picked up the lawnmower it only last another few months. I don’t think they’re very happy with their lives.

This was a couple years ago. I took my honda eu2000 generator in that wouldnt start. I get a call, guy says there is no compression, engine is shot. I end up giving the generator to a friend and bought a new one. After sitting in his garage for 2 years, he actually takes it apart. Turns out the problem was a broken gear that drives the cam shaft. $20 part to fix it and it started right up.

Took my leaf blower for them to troubleshoot. Gave them my contact information and $25 cash deposit (their credit card machine was not working). Two weeks went by and never received a phone call. I dropped by to ask information my leaf blower and to my surprise it was in the exact place that I left it. The lady asked my if she had called me and i replied no. She then said well it’s not ready. I went back two weeks later, same question same answer at which point I decided to take my leaf blower back.

Brought pressure washer in for carb replacement. Told me motor compression gone and no sense in repairing. Took it back and started it right up. I think they were hoping I would just leave it. They also kept a $25 deposit. Rude, dishonest, and the store is a total mess. Avoid this place if you have any alternative.

Just had another 4 pieces fixed great service they made them run better then new when other places said they didnt wanna work on my mower before not only that! they carry a lot parts in stock .They got all my stuff out very fast at a great price my only place to get things fixed !

They had our mower for over a week without touching it, even though the woman said it would be done this week. She never called with the estimate like she said she would. The man working when we checked back completely contradicted all the time and cost quotes originally given. Very confusing; had the take our business elsewhere.

I dont take making a review lightly and especially a negative review as it can effect someones business and livelihood but in this case it is deserved.The lady at the counter is rude and with little customer service. I felt she was beginning to sell what likely was going to be the diagnosis and sure enough it was, the carburetor. Im guessing they sell a lot of carburetors as its the fix all in small engines. Their rates are higher than most and they charge you in advance when you drop off your equipment.Never again will I return. Ill drive across town in the snow up hill each way before I go to Central Cal. They wont be in business long as most businesses survive primarily on return business.

Horrible experience! After calling for two days and waiting for a call back which never came, I decided to make one final call. I finally reached Shawn on the phone. I explained that I was looking for a shop where I could take all my work trucks(pest control trucks with honda powered spray rigs in the bed)to be serviced. I then explained that I needed it done as quickly as possible. He told me to come in at 8:30 the next morning. I showed up at 8:30 and was told that the mechanic wouldnt arrive until 10-11am. I asked him why he told me to be there at 8:30 then. He just shrugged his shoulders. I asked if it would still be done by 3-4pm as promised. He said yes and that he would have the mechanic call me when he arrived to give the estimate and get the go ahead to start repairs. So at noon, after not hearing anything, I decided to call and check in. Shawn said oh yeah, I forgot that the mechanic had to go to a funeral and I dont know when he will be in. I completely understand needing to attend a funeral, I have no problem with that. I do have a problem with Shawn not having a clue or not caring about whats going on. I rearranged my techs work day so that the truck could be freed up for repairs. Shawn completely wasted my time. I finally drove down at 1:30 and picked it up.(The mechanic still wasnt there!) I took it to Perfect Edge Lawn Mower Shop and had a great experience. I will never set foot in either of Cen cals two locations(G st and McHenry Ave) nor will any of my technicians. Shawn never even expressed concern or offered any kind of apology. Terrible customer service.

This has been the most horrible experience I have ever had with a shop. I am a small business owner and always support family owned businesses. In the search for parts for the kids go karts and small dirt bikes all I could seem to find was ebay and online suppliers. I came across this shop online and decided to drive the 30 miles from Stockton to Modesto to support a local business. Before the drive out there i called to be sure they had what i needed. I was told we stock everything on our website Great, so we take apart go kart and 2 dirtbikes apart to bring the parts needed and drive out there. When we get there i present everything needed ( 7 items ) and guess what. We dont have that, we dont have that, we dont have that..... The lady there said to leave the parts and shawn would call me. I had to basically force her to note on a receipt the parts I was leaving as she said they never loose parts Over 2 weeks Never heard from Shawn. Every time I called i was told to leave my # and he will call back. That never happened. By chance one of my calls he answered the phone and said he would have to order the parts?? ( note: I could have done that myself and had them by now!! ) The next 4 months of Shawn is not here, Trying to order your parts, I have your parts at the other shop, who is this again? I decided to just try to get my old parts that ( they never loose ) so I can just order myself online. It is now June 2012 ( i dropped parts off in September 2011 ) and I still do not have parts, its summer time and my kids do not have their go kart and bikes, I dont even know what to order because they have my old parts. I have drove there 7 times ( a total of 420 miles - gas is expensive ), made 30+ phone calls and everytime its either your parts are at the other shop or Shawn is not here. Can I get your # and Shawn will call you back In 9 months I have never received even 1 call back. Very disappointing...

I brought an Echo trimmer to them on July 3rd with the chief complaint being runs/dies. It is the 16th. I picked it up today and was told that it will have to run on 3/4 choke in order to make it run. They couldnt fix it and simply told me I need a new carb. IT HAS NEW CARB!! The carb is merely clogged up with debris because the fuel filter in the tank fell off because the tubing split at the end where the filter was. It simply sucked up debris from the tank. They didnt fix the carb as I hoped they would. I took the trimmer outside to make sure it ran. It didnt. It didnt run any different now than it did when I dropped it off. I dont think they did anything to it. No evidence. Well, so much for the $25 deposit.Ive had a few recent experiences with CenCal since moving to the area. First; theres the $25 deposit. Not sure what thats for. (First time Ive had to do that...anywhere). Second; After 2 weeks I dont hear from them, so I have to call to check status of the repair to a trimmer. The regular answer when I call is, the mechanic is not here. Ill have him call you when he gets in at 1pm to talk to you about what hes done. At 4pm I get a call from the lady at the counter. She relays communication back and forth several times between the mechanic and me. Very annoying. WHY CANT THE MECHANIC SPEAK FOR HIMSELF? She and the mechanic also made negative assumptions about what I may have done before I brought the trimmer to them (has nothing to do with the problem at hand). NOT going back. Ive tried on this occasion and others to be patient and gave them the benefit of the doubt about some of these types issues. I would not recommend this shop to anyone.

You must be the owner. I have done bussines with this shop in the past.I took my weedeater in today and was greeted by a woman that I have never seen. She ask what she could do for me. I explained that I wanted a new primer build installed she then interupted me and ask if I had the original off I said no. Then she told me to take it off. I said I have other things that needed to be done also. After explaining that I wanted a new spark plug wire installed. Then she demanded that I leave a deposit of 25$. That is NOT the way I have ever done business at ANY shop. If Im leaving a 200$ weedeater there I think that should cover a 25$ deposit. They have lost a customer. I will NEVER RETURN. I will advise anyone I talk to to stay away from there. And I will post this message all over the net. With the economy the way it is I would think they would at least try to get as much business as they can.I dont think they will last. I hope they dont last after being treated like that. The lady was rood. Interrupted me, told me to remove my primer bulb, and demanded a deposit. Just plain rood. KMA LADY !!!
