My sister and her son from were visiting us from Maryland and wanted to take home some Wisconsin cheese. I recommended this place and the owner even yodeled for her. It was so awesome and other customers clapped with us when he was done. We even got to taste some cheese too,very good. I would recommend it, and they have other goodies too. Some homemade jams that looked yummy.. 😊

Their sausage is tough.....never had tough summer sausage. The Brick cheese curds were SALTY, like so salty it made you pucker.We grabbed a case of what we thought was Spotted cow beer to find out it was something we didnt want, the boxes are the same and the labeling wasnt sufficient.

First time visiting the store and it was very impressive with the many selection of cheeses. However, the cashier was not friendly. We seemed to be a nuisance.

This cheese store in Monroe, Wisconsin, has a wide variety of cheeses. We stop here just about every time we are in the area. Besides cheese, they have some gifts that you don’t find every day. My wife likes to pick things there for future Christmas presents. Mustards, pickles, candy, are just a few of the items you can find there. They also have a lot of sampling plates of various cheeses, so you may determine if it is something that you would like. Prices are reasonable and the service is great. It’s located on highway 69, so just look for the sign.

I traveled far to get there three weeks ago, i had twenty minutes to look inside before it closed, I got some cheese but wanted to look further for more items, cashier just acted like she wanted us gone already, we even stated we traveled along way to get there she said nothing just wanted to close the doors. cheese were good a little overpriced, Im not coming back.

They knowing cover the expiration dates of their expired products. I purchased on 11/5 and ome product had a price label over its expiration date. The date was 7/31/2020. Another product I purchased had sharpie over the expiration date and was expired on 9/6. Buyer beware!! If you purchase products here be diligent in checking those dates!

This cheese shop has been a favorite place to visit since we moved to the Chicago area. Our family would get up early and make the trip from Crystal Lake, IL to Alp & Dell Cheese Store in Monroe, WI. We would always pick up our favorites and add some new cheeses to try. We also have a favorite Deli where we would eat lunch when we were done at the cheese shop. Whether we headed home or stayed the night at a hotel, we enjoyed each others company and always had a wonderful dinner of cheese, salami, fresh fruit & wine. Its become somewhat of a tradition which we will continue with. :)This Christmas we decided to send some of our relatives a family cheese package from Alp & Dell. One was sent to Florida.The weather in Florida this time of year can be very cold or very warm. Even hot. So anyone sending cheese should assume it will be on the warmer side. Their website claims that they package their products in appropriate containers. The package was shipped to Florida in a cardboard box with one cold pack. On arrival, the cheese was very soft and warm. Our relatives were uneasy about eating any of it as most people would be.I called today and spoke to the owner. He was always very nice when we were in his shop. His rudeness really surprised me. He not only dismissed my concern, he suggested that if someone wanted to send a package of cheese to Florida, they should pay the $200.00 overnight fee.Needless to say, none of our family will be taking a trip to Alp & Dell Cheese Store again. We were very disappointed in the way that this was handled & will not be ordering gift packages or anything else again.And thats OK. Have a wonderful 2020!!!FYI I read a review a few minutes ago. Many similarities to our story. They were responded to. Apparently they were reimbursed.

I drive 90 miles to my favorite cheese shop to stock up on great swiss cheese (gruyere, appenzeller, tête de moines, raclette) and wines (chasselas varietal).

The best place to get cheese in the area.Decent variety with their own brand Roth as well as imported European cheese (including those used for a fondue Savoyarde or raclette).If I could make a suggestion, it would be to offer more soft cheese varieties rather than just the typical Alpine style and American style cheese.You can ask Tony to show off his yodeling skills for a little bit of added folklore.

My favorite place to get cheese in Wisconsin, and that is saying something. We order from them every year now that we have sadly moved away. Highly recommended.

I received a box of cheese as a gift and did not know it was coming. I live in Florida. On the website under shipping it states in warm weather they send in insulated boxes. It is 90 here still in October. I opened the non-insulated box and there was one small melted cooling pack along with some really nice looking melted cheese. All of the packages of cheese were extremely soft. I sent an email via the website to see if it would still be edible since none of the packages were open, but did not get a reply. I called and the person answered the phone and then put it down and never came back. The phone number has been busy for an hour because no one hung the phone back up.Additionally, my sister (who sent the cheese), attempted to speak to someone at the store and got no where. Certainly not the mid-western customer service I have come to miss living in Florida.Edit:Tony the store owner did call me and told me he did refund my sister for the gift. Additionally, he thanked me for letting him know his website says in warmer weather the cheese is sent in insulated boxes.

Amazing place to get cheese! Such a wide variety of hard and aged cheeses from many different places. They also have hard to find cheeses there like blueberry cheese and chocolate cheese. I also recently learned that they will ship cheese for you if you need which is really nice for me since I moved away from the area and its hard to get good cheese not from Wisconsin.

Not a good experience at all. Walked in, no greeting. Asked a gentlemen for his freshest cheese curds available. No response, no answer. Walked around the store. No greeting or can I help you from any employee, visible. Very unprofessional unwelcoming. Won’t be back. ☹️

A package of cheese and sausage took 2 weeks to deliver from Monroe to a suburb of Chicago. There was no customer service from Alp and Dell with any help or understanding. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY TO SHIP ANYTHING. Postage was a third of the total amount of the order.

My 10yo son loved the cheese factory viewing area, and was fascinated to learn how cheese is made. He had been looking forward to this for a couple of months and was not disappointed. We chowed down on the huge selection sample cubes, and bought a few of our favorites. They also offer cute dairy related souvenirs.

This is a wonderful cheese shop with excellent selection. ..almost every possible kind of Cheese you can imagine!. The feel of the store is very Swiss...especially since the owner is from Switzerland. If you are lucky you might hear Toni do a yodel! Even though they sell world class cheeses the prices are very reasonable. My favorite area is the bargain bin where you can try something new for a bargain price.

This is the best place to get your cheese craft beers from local brewers and even wine. Need a new cheese slicer? Theyve got those too. They even have souvenirs for those just passing through town. Samples are always out and if you have a question, theyre more than willing to help. Been coming here for over 40 years.

Very well located. Easy to access. Good parking in lot. The store has a lot of different types of cheese. You can taste several of them. A lot of those cheese are very famous. I think they should have a better price. Some of their cheese are very expensive. In the store you can buy souvenirs, tshirts, drinks, candies and others. Also you can walk thru the store and you be able to see them making those cheese.

One of our favorites and probably our number 1 cheese house we drive here on a regular basis to restock our cheese drawer in the fridge we love there selection and quality of cheeses and meat products.
