What a marvellous place. Yeah, tons of bland chain coffee shops off the highway, but then you’d miss out on how awesome this place is.I’ve never tasted a pumpkin coffee that tasted like anything other than flavoured syrup, but they managed to make one that tastes like actual pumpkin pie in coffee form. Compete with pumpkin whipped cream.So glad I stopped by on my way through town.

First stop at this coffee shop while driving though town was a great find. Kent and his staff are so friendly and I appreciated the positivity and faith based notes sprinkled throughout his establishment. Best chai tea latte and pumpkin strudel muffin I’ve ever had. Enjoyed some Bible reading outdoors on the beautiful porch. However, watch out for local politicians beating your ear about unsolicited information, to try to earn a vote, even after you explain you’re not a resident...

What a cute coffee shop! My daughter and I stopped in this morning and got muffins and beverages, and we enjoyed it so much!! They make Italian Soda like we used to get back home at our old church (we havent found it anywhere else down here) and my cafe au lait was perfect! Well definitely be returning 🥰

What a charming little coffee shop! Alice Jules takes up one half of what used to be a private residence, and its located adjacent to both Downtown Monroe and the charming Monroe Historic District. The shop offers a wide variety of specialty coffee drinks and also has a nice selection of pastry items. (I will have to try a fresh-baked scone next time!) Service was warm and friendly, and the locals who walked in while we were there were quick to smile and speak. Theres a nice seating area with several tables, and there are additional tables on the porch out front. While the store hours are somewhat limited, making a visit on weekday evenings and most of the weekend impossible, its certainly worth a visit!

This was my first time to Alice Jules. I found the staff welcoming and knowledgeable. They have a good selection of coffees. I got a large Costa Rica which was pre made. I braced for the usual Luke warm and over extracted liquid I usually find. This was pleasantly hot and perfectly extracted. The tasting notes were there and well balanced. No outstanding bitterness and it was hot without being too hot. This coffee was as close to a perfect cup as possible. The shops layout and ambiance was pleasant also. I plan to make this place my go to coffee shop until I get my roaster back up.

I am so in love with this place. We were taking a drive from Charlotte with no destination. We drove by the cutest coffee shop with antique store next door. We had to stop and have some coffee. When I say cutest, I mean like Gilmore Girls set cute!The place was all decorated with pumpkins and Halloween crafts. I mean they even had a Cousin Itt! Cousin Itt has never looked this good!As for the owner and baristas? They were the kindest. Even though they were closing, they chased us down and offered us some coffee anyway. We sat outside on the patio and just had the best time.I 100% recommend stopping by and will no doubt drive 30+ minutes to experience this again.

The coffee was tasty. However, for some reason they put my iced mocha in a hot cup container. I dont know what the size difference is. They put the customers beverage in front of me in a cold container, so I dont understand the rational behind doing this. Id go back for coffee but not if it means bizarre cup choices.

My wife and I have been here many times and have never had anything we didnt like. Coffees and hot chocolates are excellent and the customer service is great. When the owner is working, he goes out of his way to check on you and make sure you are happy. We have never had anything we didnt like, but I would bet if something were not acceptable and you were to tell him, he would bend over backwards to make it right. Nice quaint shop with interesting artwork.

This was a coffee shop my Monroe-based hairdresser (owner) and friend, April Kuhns at Grateful Heads, introduced me to! I visited there once, and now meet a friend there every month or so. And, I always stop by to relax, read, and/or shop. Their coffee is terrific, along with their pastry selections. And, I bought some super cute Christmas decorations there too! Everyone working there always makes me feel right at home. It is now one of my favorite safe places to hide!

The BEST coffee shop in Monroe, it has a wonderful environment, amazing staff, and delicious coffee. The owner seems to genuinely care about the shop and is a great guy. The staff is very nice and make amazing coffee. I’ve been here so many times and have never been disappointed. As well as having great coffee, they also have some awesome displays of beautiful jewelry, awesome art and some really cool soaps and lotions. They support local artists and always seem to have a donation jar out to an amazing cause. 10/10 best coffee shop in town

We sipped our coffee while waiting for the parade to start.Had an amazing gingerbread latte ☕and a brown sugar scone. So good 😍. Hubbie likes his coffee plain. The house blend was rich and dark served very hot☕🎉 perfectI had heard of this coffee house for ages but never got around to visit. My first visit and cant wait to get back soon

Very nice home feeling. My wife and kids are Monroe natives that was transplanted to SW Florida. Its nice to come back and rekindle the Southern Hospitality she grew up with and we all know and love! Katie was very friendly and greeted everyone with a smile. We definitely will be coming back on our future trips to Monroe.

Been going here for years. Kent is always upbeat and greets every customer by name and always gives my kid an Oreo. The drinks are pretty ace too!

The good. Friendly staff. The cafe itself has a nice interior in an old Victorian house. The bad. This was probably my mistake for not ordering an espresso based drink, but I had decided to try their not-your-mothers house blend. The name was correct. My mothers house coffee had coffee taste. This was just weak coffee. I doubt I would return.

I think Dawn, the owner, does a great service there and is always friendly. Not sure why she isnt there most of the time. Coffee can be decent, but expensive. The main reason I go there is because its convenient.

Right by my school and a great atmosphere to study, read, or simply chat with friends. The coffee is excellent and made with love. Staff is very friendly-- remember to tip! :-)While the drinks are delicious, they do run a bit pricey. Not as expensive as Starbucks, but still pretty steep for a beverage.

My wife and I visited Alice Jules for the first time on July 4th. We had an amazing time. The coffee was great, the scones were perfectly made, and the atmosphere was clean, inviting and relaxing. A perfect place to sit in comfy chairs and sip on great coffee (I had a chilly Alice; perfection in a cup), eat a delicious pastry, and recharge. We are looking forward to our next visit.

I just love Alice Jules - the coffee, the atmosphere, the art, the staff . . . all perfection! The older almost Victorian era home is the perfect setting for this jewel of a coffee shop, and the fact that theres an antique store in the other half of the house? PERFECTION!I love walking into Alice Jules and saying, Ill have a tall Mr. Darcy, please! - makes me laugh every time! BUT my favorite drink? Shhhh! Its a secret . . . not on the menu . . . just ask for the Monroe Mud Slide with a shot of caramel - iced or hot, its my FAVE!! Best of all, its available in the SKINNY version!Although there are two Starbucks closer, Id rather drive the extra 10 minutes to get over to Alice Jules ANYTIME!

I usually go to Starbucks but this one time I went here and it got a drink similar to a caramel macchiato or latte and it was delicious! It was called iced Alice ? I cant remember but it was great!

I live right down the road from Alice Jules, and its a difficult decision not to go there everyday...because I definitely would. Its charm, its atmosphere, its stellar coffee and drink varieties, its delicious scones, its warm get-to-know-you staff, its porch on a sunny day - everything a local mom-&-pop coffee shop should be. Every time Im there, it seems the staff knows every person who walks through the door like a friend - their name, what they usually like to drink, whats going on in their lives. How many coffee shops can you say that about? And its because people keep coming back regularly - and that speaks to the quality of the shop more than anything. Alice Jules is truly one of my favorite places to go unwind. One of the few coffee shops these days where you can experience friendship, Southern hospitality and local flare.

OMG the butterfinger coffee saved my day! I was extremely sleepy and purchased this at the suggestion of the barista. I am forever grateful for the suggestion, it was delicious WITH a double shot of espresso! I had plenty of energy and will purchase it again in the near future.
