I bought a new front tire for my mower. But I broke my hand and wasnt able to put the new tire on the rim one handed. So I took it to them to see if they could do it. The guy said he could do it (5 stars!), but then couldnt tell me how much it would cost (5-1= 4 stars). Thinking it couldnt be more than $20, and needing it done, I left it for them to do. So when I picked it up he charged me $40 plus tax. (4-2=2 stars). He said, it took 2 of us to get that tire on the rim. I guess that was the extra $20? (2-1=1 star) Since I try not to give 1 star ratings, Ill spot them 1 star and make it 2.(UPDATE: The owner called me to apologize for my bad experience. He was sincere and offered to make it right. Adding back 2 stars for trying to make things right. Just make sure you get an estimate up front so there are no surprises. Learning experience for both us, I guess.)
Matt and Dave are always super helpful. I love the extra service they provide where they will pick up my mower, service it, then deliver it back to me.
Great in the beginning, but service has began to lag
This was started by some friends of my family, but they sold it a few years ago from what I understand. I wasnt aware of the change so long story short I went there to get an oil change on my gravely, and a belt change. When I got there I saw that there was a new owner but I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt and let them work on it. I told the owner that my drive belt was broken and I wanted to get an oil change. He asked me to drive the unit around back. When I told him the DRIVE BELT WAS BROKEN, he asked if it would start. So I had to tell him what a drive belt was. A week later I came to pick up my mower and they charged me $450 for an oil change and a belt change!! When they brought my gravely around they explained that they lost my key and to make up for the trouble had shoved a flat blade screw driver in the ignition to get it started(ruining the ignition switch). They ordered a new ignition then when I came to pick it up refused to pay for it, even tho they broke it!!! They finally gave it to me and I put it on myself. Not trying to hurt anyones business just warning anyone who is planning to go there.
I have been doing business with 3B Outdoor Equipment since June of 2013 and I have always been pleased with their professional, prompt service. If I need them to pick up my mower I have no trouble getting them here on time. When they bring it back, it is repaired, clean and ready to tackle this 25 acre yard I have. Without 3B Outdoor and my EXMARK Lazer X 60 there is no way I could ever keep up with the over sized yard I have. Thanks 3B Outdoors for treating me like a person and not a number. You are just what a customer needs.

They did not have what I needed and they didnt offer any help with another location. They was short with me.
While mowing the lawn I broke the starter rope on my PowerSmart . I called 3B Outdoor Equipment and asked how much to replace the starter rope. I was quoted a price of between$25 to $50 for the replacement.When I got to the store after providing my contact information,the clerk asked for a $35.00 deposit.First of all they were going to charge$18.00 for a 8 foot piece of rope. And charge for 1hour of labor.Enough was enough and I went to Home Depot where a 8 foot length of rope cost $1.24 and it took me less than 20 minutes to replace the part.Something isnt right at this business to so over charge for a simple and easy repair seems unethical if not illegal.Anyway awful experience.I will never give this company any of my business and Ill make sure that my friends and family knows how they treat you when you come into their shop.

At home from Georgia for a week trying to fix some things around the family home for mom. Her riding lawn mower needed a carb bowl gasket. Theyre relatively standard size so didnt bother to get all the specific info off the mower. Walked in, was greeted by the rep behind the counter saying he would be with me shortly as there were two gentlemen in front of me; I thanked him. While waiting, one of the other customers asked what I was looking for; I told him a gasket for a carb bowl. The rep then bellowed Ill need make, model, type and serial number to look that up; Im listening. I explained that I didnt have that and that he may be able to find it by the make and engine hp/size to which he replied not a chance. I thanked him for his time and left.I drove straight to Autozone and found a suitable alternative and was pleased that they actually believe in customer service as they bent over backwards to actually help a customer rather that throw around vailed insults or stick to some rigid policy that didnt get them a sale nor a positive review. I spent 21 years in military service and spend my hard-earned pension where its appreciated; I wont bother them by darkening their door ever again.
