As a father picking up a gift for my son who will be going to this school I was not impressed by the customer service on this store. Just 1/3 of attendants I interacted with was pleasant and helpful, the other two were merely as interested as a toll booth attendant.

The gentleman at the counter was so very helpful and got me a good discount on my purchase. Every one there is so friendly and helpful. As a future parent of MSU grad Im happy that they treat people with respect and kindness 😍

They never pick up the phone when you call!! It’s horrible .. Not one person . Why have a phone number then?!

Montclair State University is a great school! Very diverse, caring professors, a lot of activities sports, social, health, entertainment, and educational. All around great school they truly care about their students.

Every time I go in there there a line even tho 5-6 please are working. The mangers are rude and could care less if you’re a broke student trying to return a book. I’d honestly go to chegg or anywhere else then buying it here.

Seriously disgusted with this place. They don’t have enough books for students registered for courses and never answer their phone when you call them. What a joke!

I put in my textbook order online on 9/5 with the university bookstore. Received an email on 9/6 saying it was ready. I waited 20 minutes for the store to open and waited an extra 45 minutes for them to find my book order. During that time frame, I had been told You ordered it yesterday, come back tomorrow, It wont be ready until later, and We cant find your order. During that time frame, I was also given what I THOUGHT was my order, only for it to be COMPLETELY WRONG. When I finally received my order after waiting for approximately ONE HOUR, I was told that only ONE of my two ordered books was available the way I wanted it and I had to pay AN ADDITIONAL FEE for the difference! Being in retail, I can understand human error, however these employees are unorganized and unprofessional!! Save yourself some trouble and either pick up your orders the first week at the actual store or shop online at another website. DO NOT SHOP WEB ORDERS WITH THE UNIVERSITY BOOKSTORE!!!!

Not the biggest but it was alright. Wish they had my book for one of my class. However, its very clean and there tons of choices to rep MSU!

Fast Friendly and Super High Prices!

Expensive, but great variety and friendly service.

Don’t order anything for online pickup. The online order pickup counter is staffed by people who couldn’t make cereal. And if you do have to for whatever reason, bring a lawn chair because you’re gonna be in line for hours.

I love my university library. Needs some updates with new books though

Love buying school spirit supplies and accessories, but for the most part super expensive

Overpriced books and regular supplies. Okay in a pinch but would not get books from here.

I ordered a book and received the wrong book two weeks later. When I tried calling someone picked up the phone and purposely hung up on me twice to stop the ringing. Just tell me you are closed.

Overpriced, overrated, late orders for some professors classes...staff could be friendlier...perhaps if they were paid better

Staff is nice, but the business as a whole rips off students who do not have an option thats as convenient, you can get better prices on probably 90% of the stock within one Google search
