I live this place!! Hands down one of the beat Big 5 I have been to!! The staff is very friendly upon arrival and very attentive!!! My experience here has been the best!! Number one!! 99.9% of the time I walk out with what I wanted!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Store was a bit messy and items were hard to find. One of the associates was really helpful, he checked the back room several times to locate different styles and sizes of soccer cleats.

Love it when they have sales on Nike and under armor. Especially under $20.

Everytime I enter here they greet me hello... every thursday is a new shipment of weights to slowly stock up on your at home gym and everyone is always super helpful. I know Big 5 has a mediocre reputation, but between the super friendly staff and simplicity of the store, its always a good experience

Sadly this morning the cashier Rita tried to deny me a bag for carry my stuff. She blame on me that the items will not fix in the bag and I asked for the bag like 4 times. Until I finally asked if she can sell me the bag, she finally provide me one and all my items went in the bag. Rita complain with me the loyalty customer for a simple bag, really unfair.

Just big lines due to covid. You gotta wait outside. It says 25 capacity but only 5 workers and like 10 customers inside. So they were not following the capacity paper shows on window.

I love Big 5 Sporting Goods Stores, this store in specific is not the best one Ive visited. Just like everything other Big 5s carry this just as much variety in all Sporting needs. As far as customer service goes, half of their employees are either trained horrible or act horribly, they seem to stereotype certain customers or judge customers on their personal preferences to assume who to keep an eye on in the store. I had an employee follow me the majority of the time I was there, he made it obvious he was following me, moving things that didnt need to be moved or barely touching products. Its offensive to assume a customer is stealing or is going to steal. I understand there are individuals that steal but I was not the only customer in the store. An establishment shouldnt make their customers feel uncomfortable specially if they actually have money to spend at their store. Overall OK store I guess.

Big 5, I like this place. It is always supplied,they have good deals, I enjoy shopping there.The only negative is that they do not have any RAIDERS anything!!!!!. Hint, hint. Come on Big 5, you should know that the East Side of Los Angeles has many, many Raiders fans.

The staff at this big 5 are always friendly and helpful. The gentlemen working the firearms counter are knowledgeable. Shaina was very courteous. I always enjoy shopping here.

Tried to exchange a canopy, had lost me receipt but it had broke the first use. I had exchanged it before for the same reason and did not need a receipt. The manager Walt here is not fit for the position he holds. He could not figure out what canopy it was after I showed him a picture. Managers should have knowledge on the products they sell. This dude was a total loser did not know anything about the canopy. Took it to another Big5 in Alhambra and the manager there was great! Very helpful and knowledgeable just like a great manager should be.

I bought another pair of Skechers. Always comfortable, affordable and stylish.

After youve waited in line to get in, they are announcing to hurry up and get out. I really do understand the current issues stores are facing, but I was in the store less than 10 min and they announced 3 times to make your purchase and leave. I needed tennis shoes, mine are in bad shape, but i couldnt shop like that and thought it was unnecessary. I patiently waited outside for people to do what they had to do.

Work shoes 🤦‍♀️ went for hiking shoes they only had 3 pair for women. I didnt find what I was look but hey theses arent bad. Cheeper then sketchers I got theses for 39.99 at sketchers 49.99 & up & sketchers dont even carry hiking shoes.

There can be other places which sell tennis shoes,but any of them is compared with BIG 5 SPORTING GOODS.The great difference is the extensive variety of brands,styles and prices.....and of course the helpful staff. At BIG 5 you will find anything you need to practice the sport you love.

They have a decent variety of stuff. Not very much outdoor and camping stuff from what I am used to seeing in other stores. Very convinient that you can get a fishing license on the spot. Got most of the sporting equipment youll need.

Twice Ive come here to purchase ammo. Both times, I was told by 2 different managers that their permit to sell ammo had expired 2 days prior. This store may have an agenda against law abiding gun owners.

The assistant manager RJ couldnt be bothered today, I had a few questions regarding some expensive scopes and he brushed me off in passing. The clerk helping me was very helpful and courteous and she had to contact him four times, each time he came gave two word answers and walked away instead of helping me decide which product was best for me since he was the only one in the store then you hunting equipment.By far the worst experience Ive ever had at this location, although I wont write this location off, it certainly left a foul taste in my mouth. As a lifelong Big 5 customer I owe them another chance, hopefully RJ is just having a bad day, otherwise management needs to step in and reassess the leadership in this store.

As an outdoor kind of guy, this is one my favorite places. They always have great specials! I bought my long-time trusty buck knife here for only $13 on sale. This is also my go-to stop for football/soccer balls being that theyre always discounted. I bought a $25 fishing rod here and have already scored over 30 fish with it. Ive been to other Big5 stores but this is my preferred location. Everything is always nice and orderly here. Overall, a lot of sales and a lot of bang for your buck.EDIT:This place has been demoted by 2 stars. Theyre fishing inventory is NEVER up to date. Lately it has been necessary for me to make an extra trip to Walmart because these guys dont have the supplies.

Worst customer service. Manager Jacob was the worst manager. He couldnt even authorize a discount. Buy online less taxes and not hassle. Too bad. Big 5 lost out on $100 + sales all because Jacob cannot authorize a $5;off.

Their customer service is ok. One worker saw me trying to reach for something up high with my 11 month old in my arms and my 7 year old watching. She didnt bother to ask if we needed help. It wasnt until I saw the manager and asked for help was when I got assistance. Im surprised I wasnt asked if I needed help since every time Ive gone to the Pico Rivera location I am always asked if I need assistance. Clearly not all stores are alike. Once I asked for help the manager was helpful. I removed 2 stars from my review. 1- for the lack of eagerness to assist a customer and 2- I believe it was possibly the assistant manager. An older female. Not super old but older. While waiting to pay there was another customer in front of me that questioned the cost of her item. Apparently there was a sale sign for the pair of baseball pants and the item was ringing up regular price. Instead of helping her she gave the customer a bit of an attitude. They were on the same rack with the sale sign and her answer to the customer was, well we dont have enough room so we put them all on the same rack with the sale price. Even though not everything on that rack was on sale. So possible false advertising which in California isnt taken lightly. I guess Ill stick to the Pico Rivera location from now on.
