The buying process was awesome. The crew that showed up to put the two halves together was great. The next crew we got was horrible. The lead person was here maybe five six hours a day and we had concerns regarding him. Follow-up care was good. Two of the three guys that showed up to complete the first crew mistakes ( which seems alot) helped us out. Theres different crews that show up. Our doors still dont line up right and has gaps. They do follow up however our one years about up and still things are still not right. We had a rainstorm where the rain hit the door and was literally coming through the cracks in the door. The vet was never done for the propane to let water escape so it ruined underneath our floor and we have a bump in it which has never been fixed. We were told by one of their employees that the house wasnt lined up right thats what causes the gaps in the doors. The pipes werent installed right which caused leaks and having them to come out which we dont know the extent beyond them just replacing the baseboard which is all they were willing to do. What we thought we were getting and what we finish with is not the same product as what you see at their location or at their project site in Barre Town. Remind you this home is not even a year old and people have been out at least five to six times.

I purchased a home with Fecteau and had them install the trailer on a site in my park. All seemed good until the park attempted to install a riser for the septic system, 2 years later. The walkway Fecteau installed was placed directly over top of the septic tank and access. The walkway had to be removed to access the septic system. Fecteau denied the walkway was over the septic and refused any liability from their actions. I will let the photos speak for themselves. I consider this to be major failure on behalf of Fecteau. Their lack of care in resolving the situation displays a complete lack of pride or craftsmanship in the work they perform, a complete disregard for the local regulations and uncaring for the situation they placed their client in. 0 accountability for the work they performed. Disbelief that they would display such little pride in workmanship.

Dan, Jim, and Jenn, worked with me countless hours on the design of my house. It turned out just as I expected. Matt and the crew were excellent in getting it set in December 2017! Its been a year now and we are very happy with our house and would recommend Fecteau Homes.

My family purchased a Fecteau home 10 years ago, and had to replace the furnace, fridge, and had two roof leaks, and a sill leak. Floors are stained from underneath, so you cant do anything but replace the floors to fix the issue. Also, there are electrical problems, and staples holding down the floor in bathroom. Just horrible pride in there work, 1 star is way overrated.Note that This company is not rated by the Better Business Bureau.

Back in June my wife and I suffered the devastating loss of a house fire. Given current circumstances surrounding supply chains and issues with the availability of building materials, we were incredibly worried about when we would get back in a home, on our property. On a sunny summer afternoon, two weeks past the date of the fire, we headed to Montpelier to check out Fecteau Homes. After stopping by another establishment, that we feel was pushing loans on us that we didn’t want, given that our loss was being covered by insurance, Fecteau’s was absolutely amazing. Dan took us on a tour of the available homes, took us into his office, and sold us an absolutely stunning home that they had preordered in anticipation of supply shortages. Not only that, the home that we were sold was originally slated to be a floor model, but given the circumstances, they sold it to us anyway.At each stage of the process, the entire team was incredibly responsive to every single one of our questions about the building process, timelines, and anything else that we inquired about. Everyone we worked with understood our situation and truly went above and beyond to help us in our time of need. Amazingly, a mere four months after our fire, we are back in a gorgeous new home on our property.The team that came out to assemble the house was incredible, and Lee and all of the other builders that came out to finish the construction work were absolutely phenomenal. The hussle, drive, and determination of everyone at Fecteau to not only get the job done on time but also to get it done right, is simply incredible. It’s refreshing to see a business operate in the modern era with the skill and values that are exemplified by Fecteau Homes. We will truly never forget how well we were treated, and how out of a tragedy, we now sit in a beautiful new home thanks to everyone on the team at Fecteau. Perhaps the biggest compliment that we can give is that we have now recommended Fecteau Homes to numerous close friends that will soon be in the market for a new home. Do yourself a favor and head over to see them if you need a new house, I promise that you won’t regret it.

We purchased our new home through Fecteau Homes. They just finished up a few weeks ago and we are so in love with the home. We started looking at modular homes back in May/June once we knew we had an offer on our home after stopping in and talking with Dan we didnt feel the need to shop around, he worked with us on everything we wanted and was creative and listened to our needs (we were picky) was very quick to reply to any questions/concerns we had. We found ourselves in a bad situation. We sold our house in a day so closing was near. We had worked with another company having the home all designed and were told 8 weeks until we got it. We were living in a camper with our 2 large dogs. We decided we could wait the 2 weeks. The day before we closed on our house I got an email saying it would be 21 weeks...which brought us to January or February. I said no way can we wait so I googled manufactured homes and found Fecteau. I was luckily on vacation so I jumped in my car and took the 1 hour drive knowing they had some on the lot. Ashley was wonderful. She gave me the run of the homes they had there and was not pushy in any way. After looking at the homes they had I called my husband and described what I was seeing and got information on the ones we were interested in and went home and made a decision. My husband was there for the delivery and said the guys knew what they were doing and were very good to deal with If Fecteau did not have homes on the lot I have no idea where we would be. We just finished our home. Over all it was a positive experience. Biggest challenges was lack of communication during the build. We were able to track people down, but reaching out to us did not happen. Also there was a disruption with out sales person and we missed out on picking out some of our fixtures. So they came how someone picked out. However Fecteau was accessible, the designs flexible and supportive with the finance process. The prices were fair and the actual build was quick (6 weeks from start to finish).

I would highly recommend this company. From the time I walked in to meet with Jenn and discuss my wishes. She helped me design the perfect home for my site, with a special dog room for my pooches!!! Jim came to the site, recommended a local septic guy to design my septic. Both Jim and the septic person encouraged me to put the home in a different spot for good reasons and Im glad I did.........made for much more yard room and a level space for my 2 horses. Jason came to the site promptly and discussed how the excavation would happen. Letting this company do everything was the best. I would come home from work and waalaa things were accomplished and moving forward. They all put up with me when the bank business didnt move as fast I as would have liked. Lee worked hard at getting me into my new home for thanksgiving.....they could have easily said we just cant get you in for that, but they didnt.....I cant thank them enough for a wonderful home thats now cozy and getting well lived in. My fiance and I stopped in to Fecteau Homes to tour the models. We are going to be moving to New York in a few months and wanted to see what options are out there. I personally did not know too much about the process of designing, purchasing and setting a modular home.Ashley sat with us and answered all the questions that we had. After talking for a few minutes, she realized that we were going to be living far out of their delivery range (7 hours away). Even though this was the case, she STILL continued to educate us all the process for well over 20 minutes. Fecteau homes was able to help me realize the dream of replacing my old run down home. Dan and his crew did a great job on our 2500sq. Ft. Cape in Shelburne! I would highly recommend them for any house project. They overcame many weather obstacles and had our house ready to go in about 6 weeks, and the quality is spectacular. Thanks Fecteau!

We chose to work with Fecteau after researching modular homes for months, they were a bit out of our area but that didn’t phase them. Our home is beautiful and just as we had imagined. The biggest pro for us was the on sight crew who completed our home, they were fabulous, easy to work with and understanding. If I could rate lower I absolutely would. They’re wonderful to work with before you start the actual “building” process.After they get your money they don’t return phone calls, emails or provide any customer service.They never complete work they’re obligated to repair and issues will go forever without any attention, matter of which we are still attempting to have them repair issues that should have been repairs almost a year ago when the home was set.Also, they’ve managed to rip off my significant other by not reimbursing him the full amount for repairs he was authorized to do by one of their “managers”.Stay far, far away from this company if you take pride in relationships with local businesses.Fecteau homes has been absolutely HORRID.

I have never been a customer here but have looked at their trailers on the web. What I have to say is not only true here but with home everywhere.It astounds me to see that all these roofs are nearly flat. I fail to see why most roofs built with no foresight as far as the snowfall and that not everyone is able to rake the snow off thier roofs.We live in the northern USA where we have deep snowfall.The ideal roof in this area would be metal so the snow can slide off, then they all need to be built at a right angle to make it easier for the snow to fall off.It never fails to amaze me that a structure as simple as a trailer which is often build for old people would be built with no awareness of anyones needs. It is a matter of common sense to know that some elderly and disabled people wont be able to rake or shovel their roofs.I have seen people build roofs over a trailer and they should not have to do this.For this reason I might never buy any trailer.

Jenn and the rest of the fecteau team were great! I was very unsure of what I could afford and would be approved for but Jenn worked with me to find the right home within my budget without breaking the bank. I ended up choosing a pre-owned home. Jenn was so patient in working with me and the bank while I got everything together for the loan. The home was set and hooked up in a little over a week which I had expected to take much longer. Lee the project manager was amazing as well he was very thorough and made sure to keep me up to date with the progress of the home and everything being set up and turned on. All in all a great first home buying experience!

With a few bumps that we have have Ashley has gone above and beyond helping to get the issues fixed as quickly as possible, whenever we need to go in for a visit everyone has been very friendly. Over all a good experience.

We ordered our new home from Fecteaus. From the date of ordering to the date of arrival, it took less than 8 weeks! I have attached pictures of the kitchen and master bath. The quality of the home is great and the ordering process was easy.We hired our site work to be done by an outsider and when we had issues, the crew at Fecteaus came through for us. They found mistakes made by the other contractor (before they got too costly) and helped us hire the replacement contractor to get the job done right. They watched our progress from beginning to end and were very helpful.When the house arrived, it only took a couple of hours to set it in place. The crew had all the inside work done in just over a week!We love our new home! We are very pleased with the quality! There are some small details to be worked out but the big issues were taken care of promptly. We would definitely buy from them again.

My experience with Fecteaus was absolutely amazing ! The first day my husband and i walked into fecteaus, we didnt think that we could get very far with buying a home... but non the less wanted to talk to someone about going through with the process someday in the future. I tryed a lot of other places and none of them seemed to actually take the time for me ( probably because I am younger), but when I called Fecteau Jenn answered and I told her my situation and she took time for me and helped me. I had a very tight time limit and she pushed and pushed and got me into the new home . The house looks great, the lot work the they did looks amazing and did it all very fast for me. I worked with Jenn in sales and she was absolutely wonderful to work with. She was very well-versed in various options for financing and proved she had my back every step of the way. After the house was ordered and delivered, the baton switched teams to the guys who finished putting it together. They were so wonderful to work with and very professional about it. They made sure to protect the house while they were doing their work. I would stop in at the site most every morning to touch base with Matt. He was always pleasant and happy to answer any questions or concerns I had and to explain the days agenda to me. Even though I am now in my new house, the folks at Fecteaus are still very attentive of any issues that have come up. Any concerns I had all through the process, and even now, were explained and/or solved. I plan to be in this house until I die, but if I had to do this again, I would definitely choose the team at Fecteaus again.

Its been a few years since I had Fecteau homes build my family a custom style cathedral ceiling ranch. Open concept with a 26x28 great room. This house was a godsent as we had a house fire the prior winter.The crane showed up April 23rd and we moved in June 8th to a mostly finished house.The building and bank mortgage process was done with ease and even my bank agreed saying the loan process is a lot smoother than stick built.The Fecteaus came through with everything they said they were going to offer and even more so with there warranty. They said they would guarantee any issues with no problems and the few small issues Ive had were fixed efficiently saving us the burden.Almost 2 years after there carpenter came and spent a few days fixing anything from scrapes, cracks, paint touch ups and even fingerprints and marks.After this Christmas and this bear of a winter we had, I know that we now have the house of our dreams that we look forward to coming home to every day.Thank you Fecteau Homes!!
