I worked with Brian in the pre-owned sales department. Hes a good guy and kept me up to date on the status of the vehicle I was interested in. They dont sell a vehicle unless its in great condition, and the one I was interested in had just arrived on their lot. After their comprehensive inspection, they found one minor issue. Rather than selling it to me immediately as is and sending me on my way with a vehicle that had a minor problem, he set me up with loaner vehicle while they took care of it. I 100% recommend this dealership. Theyre good people.
While travelling from Chicago on a Saturday I got a low tire warning light on my 2020 Ascent. Matt Upton managed to fit me into the service center at noon, they repaired the puncture and I was back on the road by 12:35 pm. The service I experienced at Muscatell Subaru in Moorhead was truly top shelf. They were professional and polite most importantly, they came through and provided service when it was needed. Kudos to the Matt Upton and people working in the Muscatell Subaru Service department.
The experience with Ward Muscatell was perfect. Even though the car I wanted was not available, the one I did want was on a boat headed to the U.S. Until my car was delivered they loaned an identical car for 2 weeks, and when It did arrive it was earlier than the scheduled delivery date by 4 days. That is service beyond what you normally expect.
Thank you Brian McGurran for all your help today! You made buying the 2022 Legacy a piece of cake! We had a very pleasant experience all the way around. From the receptionist at the door, Brian our salesman and the great lady in the finance department (sorry I cant remember your name, but you were amazing) Thanks for a great and smooth transaction!!! I love our Legacy!
Absolutely wonderful experience every time we go here. This was our second vehicle purchased in the last 3 years. Their service is second to none. They stayed open late one time so we could see a car as we were from out of town. The cars, even though used, were perfectly detailed and filled with gas. The whole team was patient and very kid friendly. Could not have been happier with Brian and the rest of the Muscatell team.
Friendly and attentive people! From the sales staff to the service department, they are courteous and welcoming! I love my Subaru!!
Great service great people. I get here twice a year and yes its a car dealership but they always treat me well. Im buying my next car from them.
Purchased our first Subaru. Pleasant experience, great vehicle, wonderful service. Our salesperson is Jeff Bruer We have had a few post-sale concerns that Ward Muscatell Subaru have been very responsive in addressing. Great service department! Highly recommend!!
Got a tire patch job. It went fast, was inexpensive, the waiting area was clean and had snacks, and they washed my car off after! Impressed with their service
Thanks Blaine and Katie for making my purchase today go so smoothly! Left feeling very informed and confident in my purchase.
Lisa was amazing to work with! She got us just what we were looking for. And Eric, in finance, got us a better loan rate than we expected. A great experience, from start to finish!
I told them I’ve had problems with breaks since I bought the car, just went back to my trusted mechanic who found and fixed the problem in one day. Muscatell either ignored me and or told me excuses, I even paid to replace one set of breaks the noise was still bad and I now think they didn’t even replace them and certainly didn’t notice the actual problem and try to tell me about it. Terrible service
Wonderful place! Wonderful people! Go see Brian McGurran!
I am in awe at the caliber of service Muscatell has shown me and continues to do so! The people who work here are truly amazing. Mike Wentz, in service, went above and beyond my expectations to help me and truly made my day and month! Jeff Bruer is the guy who helped me purchase my very first vehicle, and the process went so smooth. Brian McGurran has been an awesome person to ask, and answer, all of my millions of questions on different vehicles when I come in for oil changes. Matt Upton helps me in service every time I need something. The people here wont let you down! I dont see myself going anywhere else to service or purchase another vehicle. Thank you guys again for all the good you do!They are seriously the best!! If I could give more stars I would!!
WOW! I went to Muscatell kinda knowing what I wanted but not sure. I ended up working with Brian M. Brian was a superstar. As someone who has lived in major cities for over a decade and recently moved back, I appreciated his candid/no pressure approach to helping me find my first vehicle in over a decade. He was very attentive with my texts/calls/numerous visits. The entire experience was amazing and I found the perfect 2021 Outback that I doubt I will ever want to give up. Beyond that -- the rest of the crew was also fantastic. I went to another big name dealership in Fargo and was embarrassed by the lack of professionalism and need to simply sell me any car -- including cars that had numerous items against their title and were over-priced. Nope -- Muscatell is the only place to go. Thanks Brian!
Had an awesome experience purchasing my vehicle with Jeff Breur! He came out to help very promptly, showed me a few great options, and helped me find the vehicle that perfectly suited my needs and budget. Make sure to ask for Jeff if you’re stopping my Muscatell!
There are some dealerships that are truly terrible to deal with. Then there are fantastic ones like this. We had a Subaru incorrectly diagnosed by another Subaru dealership. Brought it to these guys and they fixed it in a timely manner and took the time to research the problem before just simply throwing parts at it. Thank you guys for looking out for my customer/employee. Your a few hours away, but we will be doing business with you guys again. It is really good to know we have a service team that knows how to fix cars!
Brought my WRX in for warranty. Before I gave them my vehicle i reset my boost gauge because it’s hard to trust shops… they drove 15 miles on my car to see if a check engine light would come back on for an O2 sensor. The tech or whoever drove my car also hit 18.6 pounds of boost which is WAY more than plenty to see if an O2 sensor will cause a check engine light to come back on. That is straight up disrespectful and ridiculous to rip on my car that much to see if the repair worked.
Best customer service you can find in a car dealership..Awesome
Recently purchased a 2020 Subaru Legacy. It was my first adult purchase and the Muscatell Subaru team was superb. Lisa specifically has taken marvelous care of me and made sure that everything, from “Hello” to the drive home was perfect. Could not recommend Muscatell Subaru more!
My husband and I bought a Toyota from Mat, who was so helpful and worked hard to get us the car that was the best fit for our family. I highly reccomend them! We got a great deal and an amazing vehicle! Thanks guys!
Great communication people very helpful!
Lisa Leick was awesome to work with along with the rest of the staff. Very fast and efficient. Thank you very much.
Went for a test drive and was quite happy with experience and salesman was very informative!!
This is not pertaining to Muscatell, as much as our experience with the salesman and customer service. I’m sure overall, Muscatell is great and I know others with great experience as well. Unfortunately, this experience made us want to go to any other dealer in the area but Muscatell. We had called and scheduled a test drive for a 2017 Subaru that was posted online. When we arrived, the gentleman never introduced himself, never asked us our names, and then said we’d go for a drive. He didn’t have the car pulled up and never really communicated what we were doing, but proceeded to walk us outside (in the cold) across to the other lot and then searched the row of cars for a 2017. Once my husband found one, the salesman left us in the lot for about 10 mins to get the keys.Every other dealer has allowed us to drive ourselves due to covid precautions- I understand not every company is this trusting, but I would have stayed behind while my husband drove with the salesman if I had known he was riding with us. While driving, he was on his phone, talked about the weather, and said the outback was an “old person” car. We didn’t feel like he was pushing or even trying to make a sell as he didn’t seem like he had anything good to say about it either. Then after the drive, he failed to ask us anything about the car, our interest, or budget. Unfortunately, we felt more like a burden interrupting his day during this instead of excited customers ready to buy a Subaru Outback. There was no follow-up and we have no interest in returning.
Everyone from the sales person to the finance guy were great. Very happy with my Subaru so far. Definitely recommend both the brand and the dealership. Will do business with them again.
Very help came in with a shack in front of my chevy told them i think when had my aftermarket wheels took off the left the spacers were left so they took my wheels off and found out the front spacers were on. So they took them off at no charge. Great bunch of people
I bought my 1st new car here from Jeff, a 2017 wrx and its been an awesome experience. I ordered it made and shipped to get the color I wanted and had them add some factory options. Unlike other dealerships I shopped around at I wasnt pressure sold on anything and my salesman didnt rush me to get something. I ended up getting exactly what I wanted for a fair price. The new dealership Ive since visited is fantastic and offers lots of nice amenities
Top notch service department! 5 stars!
Check engine light came on took it in they diagnosed 5 mn appointment for Monday and sounds like a very fair price great service
Needed maintenance and I was in and out quickly. They did a great job.
My wife is in love with Her new Ascent! Thank you for all your help!
A bit on the pricey side, but totally worth it
Have been bringing my subaru I purchased elsewhere here for service (some problems were not disclosed to me when I bought the car and I could no longer trust the dealership that sold it to me). I have had nothing but good experiences with the service team so far!
Another successful car purchase from Mathieu. Very easy to work with, no pressure, answers all the questions and makes the process go smoothly.
Prefacing this with the fact that we didn’t end up purchasing a vehicle because the exact one we wanted wasn’t on the lot. Irish Brian was our salesman. We’ve never had a more pleasant experience almost buying a car - Irish Brian raised the bar!! Apart from that, Muscatell is such a step up in every way. It’s not cluttered or crowded and you don’t feel pressured by five sales guys waiting around the front door. We highly recommend Muscatell if you’re in the market for a Subaru, and make sure to ask for Irish Brian.
The service is great there honest, they tell you whats wrong or if anything is wrong with your car. I have bought all my cars there, and they do all my oil changes. Great place
Very helpful! Even without a appointment just stopped and they were able to fix my issue on the spot.
Knowledgeable, excellent service. Snacks and beverages while you wait in a comfy setting. Bonus, always leave with a washed vehicle as well.
Bought my car new and love it! Just did my first service and got an oil change and tire rotation for free. I would recommend a Subaru to anyone that wants a reliable vehicle.
I love Subaru. I leased my vehicle here in 2016. I purchased my vehicle after the end of my lease in 2019. I have had the same service provider, and they always wash your car when you get an oil change. They have a comfortable waiting area with a great selection of drinks and snacks. They also allow dogs. I anticipate being a customer for life.
Just bought our 3rd vehicle from Wes Darling. We have never had a bad experience at this dealership and Wes is always professional and knowledgeable about the vehicle. Best of all there is no pressure to buy. The decision is ours to make and I really appreciate doing business that way. My thanks to Wes and the team at Muscatell.
Muscatell is a great dealership. Wes Darling has taken car of my entire family for many years and always finds the perfect vehicle. The service department always does an excellent job as well.
Muscatell Subaru was amazing. I went in just to see what I wanted because I wasnt sure. Brian McGurran was amazing. He spent the whole afternoon helping me test drive different ones but wasnt pushy at all. When I asked about a completely different Subaru he was like I think this is the one. And it was! First time at a dealership and they worked with me on the price and even beat USAAs APR. The manager Stacy was awesome too. Even the woman I signed the financial paperwork with was great and didnt push anything. 10/10.
Jake Siiro was the best! Very knowledgeable and transparent. Didnt push us into anything, and was really personable
I was over impressed with Muscatell!! They made the purchase of my new vehicle the easiest most enjoyable experience I have ever had! I highly recommend them ... Justin was amazing...professional, courteous and fair!! Thank you!
We will not purchase a vehicle from another dealer. MUSCATELL is a fantastic dealership with tremendous customer service!
Im very satisfied with both the vehicle purchasing experience and service experience here at Muscatell. Lightyears ahead of Corwin Honda. Glad Im a Subaru owner now.
I had a flat tire and needed to have recall work done. It was so nice to have them schedule me the same day I called and even let me get in early. The work was done quickly while I waited in their comfortable area with access to Wifi. The folks were efficient and welcoming. And I loved that they washed my car, too!
They really helped me when I was in a weird spot with my previous lease. Matt was extremely helpful.
They have a good service department. I have no experience with their sales team. The WRZ looks like a nice car.
They handled my car really well and everyone was so friendly. They were honest with me about the time it would take to get it fixed. 10/10 will definently be going there for our next car and repairs
The manager Mike helped me out even though I came in right as they were closing up. He made sure to assess all the issues with my vehicle and gave me a rental. He stayed after half an hour after close for me and was very patient. Very grateful for the staff and work they do here.
Great customer service. Highly recommend.
Good service
Friendly, knowledgeable in all departments. Thats why I have purchased 2 Subaru foresters and they allow dogs!
Sales department was wonderful when I bought my car and the service department has been just as great! They are efficient and very friendly. The waiting room is amazing! Comfortable seating, television, snacks and drinks provided, an area for children... all around super!
Awesome service. In and out quickly. Nice kids area, too.
Stopped in while traveling, and they took care of us right away. Couldnt get parts for repair on a weekend, but found a workaround that got us back on the road!
Fast, Easy, Friendly...Great Buy Experience!!!Next Purchase will be through Professional Dream Makers
I have purchased 2 new cars from this business and own a third Subaru. After you spend your money theyre friendliness is over. I will find another Subaru dealer for next new car.
Im disappointed in my experience at Muscatell. I had done my research and figured my vehicle was worth about $15000 on trade. When I went into Muscatell they were surprised that I wanted to get a trade in value before talking about a vehicle with them. After that they valued my vehicle at $10500 for a trade. I got a lot of excuses - We know Fords and Case Muscatell himself looked at it are a couple examples. Lots of used car salesman talk. The next dealership I went to offered $15000 before I even brought up a number.
Very good place to buy a car. Everyone is helpful and knowledgeable. It doesnt feel like the typical car buying experience.
This family run dealer although grown large in volume still has those people that seem just like good neighbors that we trust and seem to appreciate taking care of their customers. We have had nothing but good memories here and are repeat customers because of just that.
Communication needs to be upgraded.I brought in my vehicle in on Monday morning. Said it would be done that day. It was a door assembly part. Never heard back from them. The next day l called to see whats up, they said they had to order a part. Be done Wednesday. I call later that day, because I have no call from them. I had to call. They were not sure if they were going to get it done today, said they might get it done They ordered the wrong part. Would have been nice if they called me the day before and informed me. But, the service guy was understanding about why I was mad, and handled the situation the best he could. The parts department was more to blame.
Great place to find a quality vehicle! Awesome staff and great prices! Thats Muscatell!
Absolute worst service department ever. Dropped my car off over a week an a half ago. They finally got the part today. Turns out they never even diagnosed the problem and just guessed and ordered parts for it. So now they have to order parts and I have to wait probably another week and a half for my car to be done. I know things break and shipping takes time but they didnt even look Into the issue. This is all because my car is under warranty if I was paying out of pocket this would have been fixed properly.
Gilby was great help for me in getting into my new certified pre-owned Subaru Forester! He was very detail-oriented and helped me step by step. Happy to work with him again in the future!
Incredible service, trustworthy and honest staff, great prices, and fabulous selection. We will be lifelong Muscatell shoppers from here on out!
Wonderful. Greg is a great salesman and a treat to deal with.
Wonderful people! Bought a car here in summer of 17 went back a year and a half later with a technical question and the salesman helped me fix it! Definitely recommend purchasing from here!
Never had a better experienceThis place rocks! You can get a free loaner car while your vehicle is being worked on. Plus the car is a nice brand new Subaru with all the latest bells & whistles. It felt less like waiting for service to get done & more like test driving a new car without a chaperone. Just dont play with the gadgets while driving. Theres too many & its too distracting. Park somewhere first to figure it out so you can have the most fun while driving. If you get tired of driving around they also have a waiting area stocked with all sorts of drinks & snacks all for free. I wish I could name all of the variety they have. You can have a tried & true soda, Gatorade or whatever or try a sparkling vitamin water thing etc. They have cookies, popcorn, donuts, cereal bars & a million other goodies.I might just drive here from Jamestown for a simple oil change to have this experience again.
Great communication via the internet.Thank you Chuck for your prompt response.Im not sure what happened when we told him what vehicle we were interested in, as it was sold to another customer before we got there. We were told it would be ready for us to test drive, and Lisa would be our salesperson.Lisa is a joy and very personable, she informed us that the vehicle we wanted to see was brought up front and keys were on her desk. She then informed us that someone took the keys and sold the car while were were on our way in. I cant tell you how disapointed this made me. I sure hope this dealership realizes how turned off we were.I can only hope this is not how you do business.. Lisa was put in a very awkward position because of it.
I recently bought a used vehicle from their pre owned lot. I had an awesome experience there. Will be stopping by if I ever need another car!
Gilby was amazing to work with! He converted me over from my VW to the Subaru family and I could not be happier. He is easy going, friendly, and very knowledgable. Highly recommend!
Friendly staff and they gave us a good deal.
The staff was great and helped me find a vehicle that met all my needs.
Amazing non-hassle dealership, for someone who hates car shopping I never felt pressured or pushed in to buying a car. This dealership actually cares about their customers and not just making a sale!
I recently purchased a dodge journey from Gene Hauser, and I would recommend him to anyone! He was personable, informative, and a delight to work with. He definitely went above and beyond, and even sent a hand written thank you card! Who even does that anymore?! The icing on the cake was the Keurig and yummy goodies in the lobby!
Very good experience. Sales staff was knowledgeable and not high pressure. Were willing to work with us on price and threw in little extras that were not expected. Definitely will go to them again for our next car!
So my story on how I got swindled by Muscatell started exactly a year ago. I noticed they had my dream car which was a 2010 Chevy Malibu with only 21,000 miles on it. The car was listed at $16K, but I only had a check for $13k, and a 2006 Ford Focus. I contacted the dealership, and let them know exactly what I was working with. One of the salesmen stated hed be able to work with me.I arrived at the dealership, and have to wait 45 minutes for assistance. The salesman grabbed the Malibu so we could take it for a ride. How convenient that the gas tank was on empty so I was only allowed to basically take it around the block. I REALLY wanted this car. We got back to the dealership, and the salesman comes back and says we are too far apart on the price. They end up running my credit, and after THREE HOURS the car is mine. Not to mention they did not come down on the price charging me the full $16k.Now to the worse part. Less than 6 months after having the car the traction light service light would come on periodically then go away. Any time I would turn the car, at 40mph theres a cranking noise. The ABS lights would come on, and stay on until I tapped the breaks. My CD player NO LONGER WORKS. I pretty much got swindled by Muscatell, and will NEVER purchase another car from there. IIf you are reading this then you should turn away, and go elsewhere. I will make sure my friends, family, and associates all no better. If you decide to move forward. REMEMBER youve been warned. My car only had 21,000 miles on it, and a year later its already falling apart. You could be NEXT!
Pop and cliff bars was awesome while putting new tires on
I recently bought a 2015 Legacy here from Nick. I absolutely loved working with him as he was very outgoing, polite, and professional. Gave great advice and was not too pushy. The dealership as a whole is very nice as well. I would highly recommend checking them out!
Everyone was very helpful. Made sure the vehicle was on top notch working order. Got me the best available financing. Even made sure the gas tank was full when I left
Brian did a great job. Very helpful.
Bought our second Subaru, a Legacy last November at Muscatell. Great follow-up after the sale, VERY competitive pricing, decent stock. We bought our first Subaru a few years back from Greg and he was really a total pleasure to deal with, so when we were looking for another car last fall we specifically asked for him and hes still our go to guy for cars-- and for us that means Subaru.Their service department bends over backwards to explain everything up front after they investigate problems. They are quick to make the repairs and their techs and service department managers are very pleasant to deal with. I also had the experience of buying a couple accessories from their parts department -- same experience all around at this dealership. In a nutshell these guys are for real when it comes to taking care of their customers. I pass by another Subaru dealership to get there-- an additional 95 miles to drive but worth it to my family.Im just adding this now, July 19th. Last weekend we lost one of the sets of keys to our legacy (dropped them in the lake...duh...) and it also had one of the keys to our Outback. With no appointment I went to the service department to get replacement keys. I figured it would be easy to get the keys for the Outback as it is an older model, but the Legacy has the security system in it where the keys have to be programmed into the car. They made the keys, programmed the car to match, got me my Outback keys and drove my car out to in front of the showroom door so I could just hop in and take off-- in less than 30 minutes. Great service? You tell me...
Great experience gave me the best value on my trade and worked with me on financing. Nick Noonan was my dealer and was very respectful and honest with me. Would absolutely recommend buying a car there
I have to give a shoutout to Mike M. and the team at Muscatell Subaru. I was very interested in trading my Outback for the new model and Mike was willing to work with me over the phone for the span of a week mainly by text/calls due to busy work schedules. When I traveled the 5.5 hour distance to Moorhead, Mike made time for me with very short notice. Mike left absolutely no stone unturned when he went over the new Outback front to back, top to bottom – safety features, electronics, materials, everything. Mike made sure that I was completely comfortable with all the new features before driving the vehicle off the lot. His knowledge and professionalism outshined all other vehicle purchase experiences I have had in the past. Muscatell also offered me a very great trade in offer. I cannot thank Mike and the team at Muscatell enough, very happy with my experience!
Beautiful new dealership. The service advisors and parts department were very friendly and professional. The waiting area is comfortable with a semi-separated area for kids with activities. I couldnt be happier with a dealership.
Routine service, in and out in about half an hour.
We brought our Outback in a few years ago to have some work done. It needed spark plugs replaced and a cv boot changed. They kept finding things wrong with it until the motor was out of the car on a stand and we were over $2,000 in on parts alone. We thought they were doing us a favor when they offered to drop off a lot of the labor cost. Now, just a few years later, we have had to have every single part they replaced, replaced again by another shop including: head gaskets, timing belt and rollers. This shop also found that Muscatell cross threaded all of the bolts on the heads, so they had to be retapped. I would never take another car to their service shop. There is no excuse for these parts not lasting longer than they did. The car SHOULD have been good for at least 100,000 miles more. We contacted Muscatell, sent them photos of the parts that were bad, offered to bring the car and the parts back for them to inspect, and they told us there was nothing they could do. There was absolutely no warranty on their parts or service. We bought the car from Muscatell in Moorhead. We also bought another from Muscatell in Grand Forks. I will never return.
I wish I could give them zero Stars I got a call call back to make an appointment to come see a vehicle they didnt even have it available for me to see when I showed up for my appointment they let one of their Recon conditioning people take it home and sold it from underneath me dont trust them they dont stand behind their word and they dont remember who you are. Its very upsetting when you take time out of your busy day to drive over for an appointment telling you that a vehicles going to be ready to be seen and its not and its missing
I recently purchased a 2010 Outback from Ward Muscatell Subaru. This is my second outback and I LOVE the car, with that said, I have had better service buying a pair of shoes...seriously. I called 6 hours ahead of my arrival to make them aware of what car i was interested in purchasing. When I arrived, the salesperson I dealt with was SO clueless about the cars history it was like pulling teeth to get any information. I drove my new car off the lot really annoyed with the whole transaction and have never received any kind of follow up phone call, thank you or anything. I will definitely purchase another outback...it just wont ever be from this dealer.
I am a female customer and David, from Ward Muscatell Collision Center in Moorhead, made me feel like a fool. I would suggest learning the importance of communication. I won’t be back!
Ward Muscatell Subaru on Highway 10 has sold my entire family at least one car. We deal with Casey exclusively there. I bought a Trailblazer through them and was very unhappy with the vehicle. I drove it for a year and contacted them. They searched and searched to find my Yukon XL I am in now. They go above and beyond for vehicles that are not Subaru. They work on all makes as well. The service tech (his name slips me right now) is willing to help even if it means I dont come in. This is what has built the relationship my family has here. Our feeling is that Muscatell is here for us. Not just to make their money. That is why they will continue to be my dealer of choice in the future when I decide I can downsize my Yukon XL to a crew cab pickup. And I know that they will go above and beyond my expectations to get me the vehicle I want instead of the vehicle they think I want.
I have purchased 3 vehicles from Muscatell Subaru and have always utilized the professionalism of Greg Mickelson as my salesman. I truthfully felt that Greg fought in my corner to get me the best vehicle, for the best price. One one occasion, I actually had him dig for months for a vehicle for me, and surprisingly, he called one day out of the blue, and said he had found one for me. The dedication that Greg and Muscatell Subaru offers to their customers is hard to match in this area. I will continue to purchase vehicles from Muscatell, and Greg specifically!
Seems like you only get decent service if youre buying a brand new subaru from them, which is a pity. My mother brought my car to them to have them give us an estimate on a rear-end collision repair which was being covered by the at-fault partys insurance. They refused to even look at it and tried to convince my mother that my car was not worth repairing (none of their business) and that at 169,000 miles, my car was not worth fixing. From a business stand-point, I dont understand where they were even coming from, as we informed them that we already had an initial quote from another body shop in town which was approved and the insurance was ready to pay, meaning we could have easily chosen Muscatell Subaru for our repair work, but clearly their time is more valuable than their customers (as you can see in other comments here). While I love the Subaru name, I would certainly not recommend this dealership to anyone looking for service or a new car. As a salesperson myself, I am pretty upset that my mother was treated this way, especially after providing evidence that we were ready to pay for any service that was to be done.
They always try to do what a guy needs.
