I am a very frequent shopper of this Joanns. The fabric selection is awesome. I always find what I need and want and then some. The ladies who work here are all very helpful. I have never had an issue with end of bolt purchases, returns, help finding something, use of coupons. I have never seen/heard any of these ladies speak ill of each other. I do believe people create their own atmosphere. This is a lovely store. Thank you, ladies, for making my shopping experience great.

Local store is small. Often they do not carry items I need for projects. Staff is always courteous and try to help, but theres no solution they can offer. Why cant they have items included in next shipment for pickup?

Good selection of fabric. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Aisles are tight and always I wish they had more machine accessories and presser feet. Huge pattern selection and always on sale seasonal decorations.

I recently visited the store for a magnifier/desk lamp of all things. They actually had several in stock and discounts on every one. The 2 girls working that afternoon were Very courteous and helpful with what I was looking for. Two thumbs up 😉

I was buying yarn at Walmart for my mother. When I discovered JoAnn Fabrics I started saving alot of money. They have great prices and anything you need for croching. I recommend JoAnn Fabrics if you like making blankets or things like that.

It is a good store and it is well organized that to me the prices are those state for a lot of the stuff they sell like you can buy a bag of scrap leather different colors that if you good enough to stitch them together will getting hard colored piece of leather in that little bag cost you more than a nice big fat piece of one its been swayed whatever you do they do to it to make it usable

Joann is the only craft store within 30 miles of my house and I love it. Do wish it was a bigger store, but they always have great sales!

Its a good store, we only come for the baking stuff & coupons but, the major complaint that my family everytime the coupons get sent out, Joanns is ALWAYS having a sale on the baking products to where you cant use the coupon. We make special trips and once we get there, literally ALL of the Wilton is on sale & the coupon doesnt work on it. For bakers, the majority of the stuff we need Wilton only carries it; so its very frustrating that this happens. I know its not this particular Joann stores fault but its corporate & their marketing teams fault. Because of that, we dont come often anymore, we usually order through another company.

I visited this location yesterday and it was my first time at a Joanns. Heidi made it perfect. She was warm and nice to chat with. Great customer service. The store was very clean. I could have stayed all day or till the boyfriend caught me buying all the fabric.

Though I have not yet had the pleasure of shopping JoAnns in the Morganton location, I have met the Store Manager, Bill this holiday season when he was on loan to the East Asheville store location. I had a list of 16 Christmas projects to sew and give as gifts this year. I usually sew by hand because I did not have a sewing machine. When I went to JoAnns, I asked Bill to help me find a sewing machine and told him I would buy it if he would show me how to set it up, including filling the bobbin and threading the machine. I am a visual learner and need to see it first hand rather than follow the printed instructions with pictures. Bill happily assisted. I want him to know that I used the machine and have completed my projects. I ran out of thread on the bobbin this morning and successfully used the instructions and my memory of his showing me step by step how to refill it and re-thread the machine.What Bill did for me exemplifies superior customer service. I want to thank him here on line and recommend his store highly. If this is the corporate culture at his store, due to his example, you cant go wrong. Merry Christmas Bill. Dont order online. I ordered a specific ty beam kitten and the lady got me a different one. Said it is out of stock. How come I got the order through and ready for pick up the first place?? Never again. Unreliable!

Today while shopping at Joann in Morganton NC, I found a discount fabric my grandson wanted & could tell it was less than 2 yards. Upon arriving at the cutting counter I said to Peggy, I want 1 yard but will take it all if you discount the end of bolt. She moved the fabric 2 times & told me it was 2 yards after I asked her twice to measure. Then she said if I offered it to you I could discount it but its two yards & you want all of it. I repeated i wanted 1 yard but would take the extra like it was always offered. She began to cut 1 yard. After I asked her to measure the remainder again it was a little over half a yard. I asked for a manager. She said there wasnt a manager there & she was in charge. At the register I ask the lady about the end of bolt & she said peggy was lazy & didnt like the few minutes it takes to make the end of bolts a sale. Im thoroughly ticked off. I shop here very frequently. I wont be coming back anytime soon. Its policy I find to offer the end of bolt to the customer at the discounted price. Peggy should be reprimanded.

This Joanns is tops on service and fabric selection. The yarn selection is pretty good and well organized. Clean bathrooms and nice staff.

Went for Halloween costume fabric. Was not disappointed. Service was quick and friendly. Found everything I needed.

If I could give a zero I would. Absolutely the worst customer service ever! I was there comparing a silhouette or cricket to buy. I had put stuff in my cart to buy. The kids was playing with the stuff in the cart and this rude employee comes up and tell me that if I don’t plan on buying it then the kids need to stop very unprofessionally with an attitude. Hmmm excuse me but it is in the cart. Why wouldn’t I buy it? This is why I always go to Michaels or hobby lobby. I hope this place shuts down. Nobody has the right to act like that are better. That place lost a good $500 sell.I work in retail around higher priced merchandise and never would I speak like that to anyone about their kids.

Was excited to have a joanns store in the area we recently moved in. But have been there on several occasions and they are in need of help and product. Same empty spots were there when visited a month apart. Way to pricey as well.

Little pricy but always have what I need

While the staff was super helpful, they havent had the craft items I went looking for multiple times. Once was a picture frame, once was magnolia stems, both I expected they would have, but didnt. Considering that they are one of the only major craft supply stores within this county and the nearest to neighboring McDowell county it would make sense to stock it with everything they could, but the employees told me that the bigger cities like Asheville have a bigger selection. That kind of makes sense, unless you are the ONLY major craft store in the area, which they are. You would think their corporate executives would exploit the fact that they currently have the monopoly in the area and try to create some customer loyalty just in case another one does move to the area in the future. I doubt corporate will ever read this, but if you do, for the love of glue guns, stock this store with everything youve got please! It will keep me from having to drive to Asheville or Hickory. Thank you! 😉

I am a craft junkie so of course I love it

The only all purpose craft store in the area. Its not a full Jo-Anns but more of a mini one. It does have a lot more sewing items than other crafting items, but the staff is always friendly and helpful. Ive never seen the store dirty either, which is always a plus!

I was surprised at how much stuff theyve got in a relatively small craft store. Yes, a lot of it is fabric - but they also have a seasonal decor section, beads, scrapbooking stuff, etc.

Despise going in here when certain girls are working. They always try to twist your words. A lot easier going when the guy is there. A lot more helpful and less crying.

I like to craft occasionally off and on during the year. I was mildly disappointed this time visiting my local store.First of all, to the person who walked around the store to help me find a particular item that they no longer sell, thank you.Secondly, there used to be more options on cardstock that was at your store, as well as different sizes and colors (ie-I was specifically looking for 4x6 or somewhat similar size to make something for a friend. The smaller size would have been perfect but, now I have to purchase a larger size and on top of that I have to purchase a paper cutter to aid in making straight lines in order to get the larger cardstock in the size I need).Thirdly, I am very disappointed when I go to check out and Im looking for coupon online and get told I have to download the app in order to receive coupons. I think this is just crazy!!!! For those shoppers like me who only visit very sparingly to the store, this is very much an aggrivation due to the fact that it not only takes up space and memory on an individuals phone but you also have to check if there are any deals and set up an account just to use a coupon!!!! I understand keeping up with technology and the demands of the public on a daily basis and to enforce that anyone who visits a Joann store has to have the app on their phone in order to use any coupons! There are several people who knit, sew, and/or do any other crafts that dont have a smart phone and this disables them as well from using available coupons.Over all I will enjoy my purchases but having different ways to offer coupons is great!!
