This is one of the yards! Gross and management allows this. The damage is from dog feces not picked up. Ive been here a year now and will already be on the 3rd manager here. Look at the response to all negative reviews! They say call, LMAO, they NEVER ANSWER! ALWAYS VOICEMAIL so they can screen them

I was impressed when I came in for a tour and 9 months of living here has confirmed my initial impression. Clean, safe, friendly and well maintained. We are very happy here and are proud of where we live.

I was visiting some friends there, who just moved in. And I have to say that their place is really really nice.

Clearly with the more recently publicized issues regarding water meters and the like it would be hard to give a better review.More recently in trying to get answers from the organization (Scott) they are unable or unwilling to answer questions regarding the sale of of a mobile home within the park or act as if they don’t know the answers and fail in providing the professional courtesy of a response.They placed a sign stating hours by appointment only but are actually there.This was after the opening of the state from COVID so there goes one excuse.Just a very non responsive company with terrible customer service.

The corporation that owns this park will do ANYTHING to squeeze money out of its residents and will do ZERO to help them in the case of emergencies like a tree falling from THEIR property on your home. They will refuse to help and threaten legal action if you ask for help.

I just moved in almost a month ago and I love it. They are all so nice in the office and anytime there’s an issue they make sure to come out next day if not next day to get it taken care of. I highly recommend this place. Very clean well kept neighborhood. 5 out of 5. And the new homes are even better.

Been living here over six months and Ill just say that moving here from peoria was the best decision Ive ever made. The place is quiet, friendly and perfect for my kid. I highly recommend it if youre looking to get away from city life.

It is a peaceful community, and everyone I have encountered on walks are always friendly. Looking forward to moving into our new home :)

They keep raising the rent making it very hard for people to live. 160 more a month that was my food money!!! The thing is you dont even get any perks.Very sad, I will end up in a nursing home now Thanks to the new owners in Colorado!

I am currently purchasing a home in Oak Lawn and the staff has been amazing. I will be moving from Oklahoma to Illinois and they have been very accommodating to the fact that I cannot be there in person. Wilma has been available to me via phone and e-mail. I have always received prompt knowledgeable responses. She showed the home to my family since I could not be there in person. Honestly I cannot express how nice and helpful they have been through this entire process.

I lived at oaklawn for 2 years when the new owners took over things got worse we had to pay for water sewer and garbage before we didnt. I just solidly trailer in time wasnt happy there anymore when I left I was told I would get my deposit back with in a month when ed n I would go to the office they would give me the run around it took 5 months for me to get my deposit back it shouldnt take that long Im just glad I dont live anymore it once was a beautiful place now its not so no I wouldnt recommend that place at all in my opinion.

Michelle and staff were helpful in making my parents move from southern Illinois to Morton easier. Answered all our questions and showing trailers that were for sale. We are thankful for all of their time and effort during this transition.

My name is Ashley H. And I just recently purchased a home in oaklawn estates and if I could give them more than 5 stars I would. Michelle and Demi in the office went above and beyond what their job entails them to do. My application got denied the first couple of times due to some unforeseen issues but they knew my situation and did everything they could to get me approved. Everyone in the office is absolutely amazing and the neighborhood is so clean and everyone in the neighborhood is so friendly.

Tomorrow I will be finishing my process on a brand new trailer! The staff has been so amazing and helpful. They really care about their residents and future residents as well. I am really happy with their care and their service! I highly recommend this area if your looking for a really clean and nice and peaceful area with people who really care :)

Great service. Excellent knowledge of properties. All staff was helpful even if they wasnt the office member assisting you they would help as best they can and answered all questions for you. From the front desk too the Management very friendly and respectful. Clean housing community.

If you want a place to live with a wonderful and kind people—-This is the place.... I bought a home here and the atmosphere is peaceful!! Easy transition..! You gotta come and check it out. All the lawns are kept up and free of clutter. I felt welcome and right at home immediately.

Very expensive and lot rent keeps going up. Been there 3 years in July and rent has gone up $135.00 since then. Have seen no improvements to warrant this increase. They cant even keep the street clear from snow. Ask the poor mailman Gary. Very disappointed in this park.

The administration is woefully inept. New people who arent fully trained, left without management to support them and dont have answers to questions.When my father-in-law died his daughter inherited his trailer. We called the office the day after because we needed to sell fast to get back to our house a few counties away. Their manager never called us back. They then said in order for us to know how much that lot rent was that we needed to have a power of attorney on file with their office. He died unexpectedly and so he did not think ahead to get the power of attorney drafted. The power of attorney expires when the principal, or in this case my father-in-law died. They refused to talk to my wife or I, even having a death certificate wasnt enough.Then, in order for us to sell the trailer, they required their move out notice. Even going so far as to blame my father-in-law for not filling it out in advance of his death, as if he would have known that he needed to do such a thing. So there administration is so terrible that they needed my wife to fill it out so that they could reassign the lot to a new tenant, so is not too confused corporate.UNRELATED:PLEASE CHECK THE NEWS BECAUSE THEY HAVE ILLEGALLY INSTALLED WATER METERS USING UNLICENSED INDIVIDUALS TO INSTALL THEM. THEY HAVE TAKEN NEW OWNERSHIP WITHIN THE LAST YEAR OR TWO AND THE NEW ADMINISTRATION BELIEVES THAT WATER AND TRASH SHOULD CARRY SEPARATE CHARGES, ALTHOUGH NO ONE WHO HAS SIGNED THE LEASE CAN VALIDATE THIS. SEVERAL HAVE FILED A LAWSUIT AND HAVE ONE SO THAT THE WATER METERS WERE REMOVED AND TRASH SERVICES AND WATER ARE NOW INCLUDED IN A LOT RENT, BUT FOR ONLY THE INDIVIDUALS THAT HAD SUED THEM. THIS HAS BEEN ON THE NEWS IN THE MORTON AREA. PLEASE TAKE CAUTION IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING MOVING TO OAK LAWN.

Oaklawn Estates has been under new ownership and has had a new office staff for just over a year now. They really seem to be trying to improve things with bringing in dozens of brand new homes for prospective homeowners. They also have several older, but freshly spruced up homes as well. The park seems clean, safe, and is in a great location off Meadow Ave between East Peoria and Morton, and not far from Interstate 74.

Oak Lawn is a well maintained property. The office staff is very helpful and they do a great job.

Ive been living here for over 16 years and what use to be a really clean Mobil Home community is becoming a trashy trailer park. Im so embarrassed to even live here now. When Mr. Linstrom was alive and owned this place it was well kept. No one sped through the park or he would be knocking on your door warning you about it. He would drive his van around and beware of how things were going good and bad. The groundskeeper was 1 guy most of the time and he did a wonderful job. When the street needed cleaning, the park took care of it buy rakes,brooms and shovels. Not now. Its crazy around here now, they send these stupid monthly news letters out and mention that they want clean yards. Yeah right!! How do you keep a clean yard when these idiots go down the streets blowing all kinds of debris in your yard when you work hard at keeping it looking good. These people work for RVHorizons out of Colorado. They brought a bunch of new trailers in here last summer and a lot of them are sitting around the park still . Sure they might be trying to get some places ready to put new trailers in them but I personally will not be surprised if they are still sitting there come winter at the rate theyre doing things around here. By the way, lookout for potholes going through here. The park never had them before but are getting quite a few now. If i could stand across the street from the place with a sign saying, (You dont want to live here) I would. Unfortunately many of us that are fed up with these people, cant just pick up and move. I could go on and say more negative things about this place but I think you get the picture.

Good atmosphere. Mobile homes run gamut from absolutely beautiful to trash. I have served 50 plus homes in this park at one point or another and never know what to expect. Kept clean and quiet.

Was a very nice park until new owners took over in Feb 2018. Tried to (illegally) push out new leases as soon as they took over. Now they have raised the lot rent along with charging for water and trash. Have done no improvements to the property. New trailers they brought in are sitting on the sides of roads with no plans for them. Three boil orders in a year. Cant keep the front office consistently staffed (high turnover). Maintenance crew is friendly but the owners will now allow them to do in-home maintenance due to liability issues. If you ask they say its not their problem.I moved out the end of April, signed the papers and everything. Two weeks later they were calling me asking why I didnt pay the lot rent!! Had to tell them twice I moved out!!If you are thinking of moving in, please reconsider!!

I came here from Sydney, Australia and ive moved all over the U.S and this is by far the best place I have ever been. Im dead serious, if anyone needs to hide from the old carona V they can come here and feel completely safe. Thats how well maintained the place is. And the staff, OMG. They are the greatest people. Nice and very informative. Especially the young blonde lady.....Demi Is her name im pretty sure. Alright Im done, ONE LOVE!!!!

Beware of the billing practices here. My father showed me his July bill for rent, water and sewer. There was no detailed breakout on his water and sewer usage. This was apparently a FAKE bill because a few days later he got a NEW bill with the water and sewer usage breakout. Guess what? The new bill was lower than the fake bill! This is a company that owns and manages many properties across the country, but operates as if they are in the stone ages.

They do less and less for their tenants but raise the lot rent yearly. They use to plow the streets better in the winter. They took better care of the trees better. My family members lived there for many many years...

Adult only section is very nice, well maintaiined.Family section run down. They dont keep streets free of snow.

New owners are not very accommodating if you have a maintenance issue. They legally can’t even do work on their own property. If that tells you how things are going...

Overall Ive enjoyed living in Oak Lawn for three and a half years its not perfect but I dont think any place is. I would like to see some of the trees taken down or trimmed more often and some type of shelters for inclement weather

Oak Lawn is in a period of transition. New owners are assuming control on February 1st. I guess the future will reveal what type of changes are in store. There are many many empty spaces in the older section of the park where the single wide trailers are.
