Hidden, but worth finding. Very fresh and well stocked. Exotic fruits you cant find anywhere else.
Tasty ramen soups! Fresh fruit cups! And Yummy dessert! Perfect lunch... There are tables upstairs. Although my suggestion is take it to the botanical garden and find a nice shady spot to eat!
Ive been coming here relatively regularly for the last six months or so. Its somewhat limited in selection, but not as much as I would expect - they usually have everything I need. They keep it super clean here, its really impressive. The staff is amazing - helpful and friendly and always available. Theres plenty of parking and its rarely crowded. I expected a little more mark-up on the prices here - they are mostly in line with what you will find at other Publix stores. They have a huge wine selection and a bar in the store where you can get wine or beer if thats your thing. Overall, I really like this place.
If youre vegan and want lots of options, shop here. If you have anxiety going in to big stores, shop here. If you like nice people and clean stores, shop here. These all apply to me so I keep coming back. Its not the closest store to my house but I gladly go out of my way for the positive shopping experience.
Decent natural and organic food selection. Prepped foods are tasty. Lots of alternative protein at standard prices. Helpful staff. No 2-kid shopping carts, so be warned if you have more than 1 child. There’s a place for a phone and a froufrou drink though, so be at peace.
So friendly, great organic products. The cleanest supermarket I’ve been to!
I love, everyone very nice👍😀✌🇨🇱..
High quality here. Big fresh produce and deli area. If your on the run or staying in a hotel you can get freshly cook meals to go, make your own salad, buy a prepared sandwich and ask the staff to heat it. Huge wine and beer selection. A bar that looked Covid closed for now. Great store.
Very nice store with good selection of fresh items. Not for people who want a huge big box store with thousands of square feet of items. Just a small store with quality stuff
This is the best store I love shooing here if you are not into industry food you will love greenwiseThey are clean some always greet you and checking out is easy self or personal checker.Fresh fresh fresh foods available here especially if you are alternative . Vegan vegetarian pescatarian your needs can be supplied . A cold bar sushi bar sandwich coffee great gluten free pizzas made as well as many other departments
I got to give it to them! They got the Best D@!? SUBS! THE FRESHEST INGREDIENTS..ON POINT! They even talk to you like yall been knowing each other for Years...Lol..They Could put others out of Business.
I was greeted by name at Cadence Bank by a super friendly young 👧 woman. That place is truly the Beverly Hills of Alabama!Spectacular atmosphere! The young female manager at Cadence BankAlways remembers my voice and she alwaysAsks me how I am doing!
Similar to Whole Foods in concept and layout. Organic store done the Publixs way. Nice staff and easy to navigate store design.
Its like Publix and whole foods had a baby. They carry all of the organic stuff I could want, and also a surprisingly good selection of dairy alternatives. They also have conventional options available. I liked this because I didnt have to make two trips for my groceries. Usually I have to go one place for the organic produce, dairy alternatives and plastic alternative house ware shopping then go to a conventional grocery store for things like cheap fizzy drinks, reasonably priced organic spices, and international ingredients. This place had everything I wanted. I shop for high quality because Im voting for better food system options with my dollar.
A gem! From the wine bar to the super helpful staff. A treasure in Mountain Brook!
So I had to come in the other day and get some groceries. They carry more stuff now than what they used to hold, which is super helpful. I’m writing this review because of the great customer service I received. This woman, I believe her name was Caitlin, was so nice and friendly, it really made my day. I will definitely continue to shop here 😊
Great salad bar!! Fresh with a large variety!!
Its a great place wouldnt mind going back to shop there
Luv...luv...luv this market. Peaceful, easy shopping and quick checkout.
Reminds me more of Whole Foods than Publix. Expect more expensive pricing.
Strong meat dept. Fresh produce. Awesome wine selection.
Great shopping expirence but slightly on the higher side of prices. Very comparable to whole foods
Beautiful store. Nice selection. Friendly, helpful staff.
Love this store! Great customer service!
I love this store! Great wine selection and olive bar! Employees are always courteous and helpful!
Employees arent enforcing mask ordinance. People are walking around the meat, and hot bar without masks on. I dont want to shop somewhere that the staff and customers are put in danger.
Great customer service. Good selections. Clean store. Fantastic array of wines, cheeses and other interesting items.
The customers have been heard! Greenwise made many changes... like adding Coke products! An employee explained to me that they added about 8000 new products to their store to please the people in the area while keeping the dominant organic products that people like me love. Im happy that I no longer have to make multiple grocery stops!
So I’m a Massage Therapist at the Grand Bohemian and my dad told me there was grocery store right around the corner from me and he told me that I needed to check it out and that I’d love it! I go in and omg!!!! It’s like a different world in there lol people are super nice and always ask if you need help without being overbearing and it’s just a really nice environment and everything’s so fresh! I’m gonna be honest, I won’t be shopping for groceries anywhere else! So much love there!
Good concept. Still a little premature for the yuppies in Mountain Brook. At least theyre still open. But theres been some changes in reduction in the offerings of organic and natural products because of the customer base
The produce is really high quality and the service is always top-notch.
Absolutely amazing store... Definitely a number 1 in my book. Very Clean. Very well maintained fully stocked.. Awesome helpful staff!.
Craft beer and food at great prices, all with the friendly Publix smile!
Extremely clean. High quality produce. Good selection of beverages. Several hot bars and a salad bar with good selection for vegetarians. Friendly staff that greet you when you walk in. Best of all - easy walking distance from the hotel I am staying at!!!
This store is absolutely wonderful! It is not your typical grocery store. GreenWise is a healthy, organic and natural store, comparable to Whole Foods, however at GreenWise, you receive exceptional service from the staff! Dont make ratings based on one visit. I have shopped there several times and each time is like the first -I enjoy discovering new items and meals that I have never been introduced to before. If you wish to shop at the Pig, fine but you will not experience the same environment and products offered at this exceptional store. GreenWise is my favorite thing from Publix!God Bless!
Got the ramen from the hot bar, was very good. Good selection also.
Well stocked fresh produce. Nice people. Fast shopping experience. Good prices on everything fresh.
Shopped there on November 30th, 2019. The apples did not look good, so had to pass. Bought Bananas that I threw away because they tasted terrible. The Milk expired on November 21st. I was starving and wanted a sandwich. Some in the counter were huge. I asked if one could be cut in half. “No”, was the reply but I was shown some other sandwiches that looked unappetizing. This was a frustrating experience that I have never had at any Supermarket before. No wonder there were only six people in the store.
Things Ive been unable to find at this grocery store:Chicken deli meatMayonnaiseLocal produceHeirloom tomatoesFresh Scottish salmonDiet CokeChocolate BarsButtermilkCanola Oil under $10This is not a grocery store where you can complete a regular shopping trip. Go elsewhere if you want groceries. So sad this is what replaced Western.
As soon as you walk through the door the atmosphere sets the tone for a great experience. Friendly staff, fresh pizza and popcorn, beer and wine on draft, and sausage made in-store... everyone will find something they love!
Every time I visit the Mtn. Brook Greenwise, I am met with the most helpful, happy employees. I love the produce and meat department. The store is extremely clean and everything is always well stocked. So thankful to have in our neighborhood.
My new favorite grocery store! Super clean! Great rewards!
Everyone is so friendly and truly love what they do. The food is out of this world. Try the cowboy bacon and you won’t regret it.
The burrito bar is amazing!! They also have in house made sausage that’s to die for! If you are a bacon lover you will love their bacon in the meat department
Great wine selection and a lot of good sales.
Not like normal Publix shopping experiences.Interesting product mix but limited.A restaurant that happens to sell some groceries.“Managers” have little regard for customer base. Very unprofessional. Can you say “ 5 star reviews by managers and employees”?
Always a pleasure and great experience shopping here.
Love this store! Everyone is so nice and helpful! Found a lot of things to eat there.
If you love fresh meats/seafood this is the place to go. Options in beef varying from Greenwise Organic beef all the way to American Kobe beef, seafood goes all the way to fresh never frozen Salmon to Chilean Sea Bass. Quality unlike any other.
I am here to revise my previous review. A recent visit shows a much wider selection of products, snacks, soda, with previously unstocked items all present and accounted for. I enjoy specialty and organic foods from time to time, but they are not exclusively in my diet, so it was a pleasant surprise to find popular items from popular manufacturers, incuding Kraft, Coca Cola, Nabisco, and Frito-Lay. The wonderful staff with their wonderful attitude is unchanged, and their fresh made sandwiches are delicious. Thanks to Greenwise for an apparent marketing strategy change, and I am happy to revise my review!
Great lunch options and friendly service. The freshly made Ramen Bowls are incredible. Very happy with this addition to Mountain Brook Village.
I’m delighted we finally have a Publix GreenWise in town, and I have thoroughly enjoyed shopping there. The staff is extremely helpful, and especially Stacy, who helped me check out today!
Really nice store but when it comes down to working at this place especially in the eats department PLEASE avoid it!! Not because of employees but because of management! They have favorites and will take u from loving what u do to hating coming in to work.
Its hard to find what you want. Not a neighborhood grocery. Manager told me it was really a restaurant with stuff for sell. I dont like Chipotle. That was what it looks like the sell in the restaurant part. Really expensive. Western was reasonable and had a real grocery selection
Absolutely amazing experience....I’ve been 3x so far and each time it’s been like going to Disney World (if Disney was a grocery store). The staff has always been above-and-beyond helpful, going out of their way to offer a recommendation, provide a sample of food, or talk with me about my shopping experience. The store also offers some really unique food options, I’ve loved finding a random, unexpected treasure each visit: be it the special sauce from Momofuku, peanut butter covered banana bites, or a unique chocolate pairing for wine. Kendale at the burrito station was particularly awesome— and the burrito bowls are leagues better than Chipotle!! I look forward to continuing to explore the space. Really cool that something like this exists locally now.
Very friendly and customer service oriented staff, awesome selection of fresh and organic produce and groceries, and an overall appealing aesthetic of the store itself. Excited to have a Greenwise Market in close proximity.
Great place to shop.
Stopped on my way to Treadwells last Wed am to pick up some Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches. Big mistake. My first clue was an empty parking lot. This store apparently sells no recognizable name brand products - only Greenwise products at an exorbitant price. I left in a hurry, never to return. This is the Edsel of supermarkets and must be a muti- million dollar boondoggle. Ouch !
Great food and service. Perfect place to get specialty items.
Love it! Reasonable, clean, great selection
Awesome customer service (better than a standard Publix), a great selection of items at great prices, and varying meal offerings that would please even the pickiest of eaters. This is basically Publix’s answer to Whole Foods, and trust me when I say they’ve issued a challenge.
No longer feels like a neighborhood market. Prices are high, and the meet department is very underwhelming. Definitely not a specialty store
Beautiful store! Friendly and helpful associates . Good food!
Wonderful place and people ❤
Long time local resident and shopper in Mountain Brook Villiage. The following are my observations of our new local store:Produce is wildly over priced: 2 ears of fresh corn $4.00. The pig has 6 ears from our local farmers for $2.00The cheese counter has been heavy weighted with commodity producers such as Boars Head. This is one change you might have remembered when shopping at the end of V Richards run. They had to move to national brands when Whole Foods moved to town. No longer a wide selection of artisinal cheeses as Western had. You will still find some boutique offerings such as Mt. Tam but forget long aged Gouda over 24 months (Trader Joes has 1000 day) and other premium offerings. The deli no longer offers the same carry away items. It has been converted to what is essentially a Chipotle and Little Cesars. You cant grab a five buck cluck and some great freshly prepared broccoli salad for a quick easy dinner. And forget having prepared foods that Western offered that local workers would duck in to grab for lunch. Chicken fingers, steam table offerings are all gone. We all enjoyed these local favorites (black eyed peas, fried okra, fried chicken) and prepared comfort foods that people could count on for a quick hot affordable lunch. No longer. Its is now organic and healthy enough according to one manager. He said get used to it. My friend that is an attorney at Amazon would make Westerns steam table her first stop when she flew in from Seattle because it was just good Southern food that she was craving. You will notice many other items are no longer carried. Chow-chow. Can you believe it. Crazy. Simple condiments are very limited in selection. No pickled okra in the store. One manager didnt even know what it was. I had to speak to several before anyone even felt like this was an issue. I dont feel that they understand the tastes and consumer demands of our community.Apple pay is no longer accepted at the register. They said the pricing model for the payment method had not been deemed a fit for Publix stores. Oddly it was always accepted at Western and still is at the Pig (much smaller companies).Everything in the store is laid out very neat and pretty. 1/8th of the floor is high end shampoos and conditioners. If thats what you go to the grocery store for fine. I usually need a chicken, case of soft drinks and some peanut butter. So dont expect to find local coffee producers like Red Bike and their Mt. Brook Blend roast that always sold out so rapidly. The wine selection is decent but they didnt have enough high end vinters to fill the corner cellar room. I love a $7 Tuesday night bottle but you will find $12 bottles occupying space next to $250 Nickle and Nickle. No where near the depth of selection and curated cellar that was a gem in our community.Summary:-Crazy expensive produce. Not many local farmers-Convenience foods no longer exist. Was told by more than one employee that the secret is this store concept is really a restaurant with a market and cosmetic store in it. A destination one said. I just need affordable corn. And everything else I look for at my local grocery.-Amazingly glaring lack of depth of selection in grocery isles.-Poor wine selection in comparison to what was offered by Western.-Payment options are limitedWent to the Pig after I left. Found what I needed. Figured I spent 60% of what I would have paid for comparable items at Greemwise. I found EVERYTHING I needed. Told the Pigs manager about my experience and how refreshing it was to be there after going to Greenwise. She told me that if I cant find anything they will order it for me immediately. They had knowledgeable wine reps that worked at the store and distributor reps in the Pig wine shop. They helped us find an obscure Portuguese white.I was reminded by the staff of the Pig to shop local. They are owned by our neighbors. As a local business owner im keeping my money local. Greenwise is not. Shop local, find everything you need and spend less!
Awesome store clean and plenty of products!!!
Weak selection. Pickle / olive section is comical.
Beautiful Produce
Loved the whole experience of the store.
Its expensive with no selection. Go to the pig
Good deals
Dont dare ask for help. The employees are rude and their managers obviously only care about paychecks. Shop local.
They are great
Amazing establishment
