Cannot say enough good about Tatyana Merryman. For our Vow Renewal (after 12 years of marriage) my husband & I agreed to have my gown custom made. It was a pretty big budget splurge, BUT the end result was worth it. She worked with me to choose a gown style that was modest & complimented my “girlish mom figure”. At 40 years young, I wanted a gown that wasn’t “mother of the bride-ish” but also not the look/feel of a 23 year old bride either. I wanted it to fit my personality, my age & the occasion. She was very attentive to my needs, preferences & ideas. Tatyana would educate me on why a certain aspect was (or was not) a good fit for my body shape. She educated me & explained fabrics & things that you wouldn’t necessarily think about. It was made with high quality Japanese Satan & hand made French lace. The feel of the gown was just buttery soft & it was everything I dreamed it would be & then some. Working together, we nailed the gown!!She is knowledgeable & skilled in her craft. I’ve never had anything custom made, so this was out of the norm for me, but now I have a stunning gown thats a generational heirloom piece that my daughter or anyone else could use down the line.She is a consummate professional & offers a lot of life wisdom beyond dress making & alterations. I truly Enjoyed the experience of designing my gown - from inception to completion. Now that I don’t get to see her every couple of weeks, I just want to go stop by and chat with her to hear her sweet accent & life advice. Thank you so much Tatyana! You are a blessing & a joy!!

This lady is amazing! Please consult with her before you go anywhere else. We had a David’s Bridal mess with alterations and she gladly helped us and saved the wedding! She also makes one of a kind veils and dresses! We purchased a veil and it is stunning!

Tatyana is amazing. Shes an inspiring woman all around. Went there for my best friends wedding dress. The dress has been passed down from generation-to-generation and shes making it her own. I am the MOH and will be back for her to make me a custom dress. We loved her shop and couldnt say better things about her or her work.

Tatiana was absolutely amazing! Worth every penny. The day I went to pick up my dress, Tatiana was closing at noon to get ready for her vacation in Florida. When I tried my dress on she asked if I could come back at 430 because she needed to take 4 inches in on my waist! She delayed her vacation and chill time to make sure I looked perfect on my wedding day, and I did! I would never recommend anyone else!

Tatyana is an absolute gem! I had ordered my dress online and when I received it it was grossly inaccurate (ordered size 12, actual size 8). I was 3 weeks from my wedding and she was able to strip the seams and use the extra material to make it fit. You would never have known it was almost completely redone. It had intricate lace work and she was able to hand stitch to patch the areas that were altered. She was absolutely fabulous and I had no worries after meeting with her that my dress would be perfect. If I could give her 6 STARS I would. She is top notch, do not waste your time with anyone else when it comes to the most important dress of your life!

From custom made wedding dresses to alterations this is the place. Tatyana is very passionate about her work and does an amazing job. She will make sure your dress is perfect. She had to do a very complicated alteration on my daughters prom dress with multiple layers and it turned out perfect. She is the best!

Did a fantastic job on a delicate and complicated gown, with a lot of textural details. After only one fitting, the dress was perfect. It fit me perfectly and the alterations were totally seamless.

I can not say enough about this woman! I had to call her at the absolute last minute for her to alter my entirely lace gown with rhinestones. She had an appointment spot open the next morning. I called her just to insert bra cups, but once I got there, she realized it needed to be taken in, change the bra cups, lifting the cups, and altering the dress so that the sheer part laid flat against my skin, rather than ruffling out/pouching out and losing the illusion of a sheer cleavage/neckline. She was well priced, had the dress ready for the day and time I needed, fit me in at the last second, altered everything I needed to make the dress look perfect on me, did not surprise me with any extra costs, and was incredibly kind. Im so lucky to have found her and to have her work with me. She had to hand stitch the dress and changes but it looked great. She even had to do a last second change after I tried it on, stitched it right there by hand, and did not charge extra. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Tatyana is such a caring, sweetheart!She did some alterations to my wedding dress, but she also made me a custom cathedral veil with a blusher that was GORGEOUS, she was patient with me & attentive on the design & trim. Tatyana made a miracle happen with my gown. It was a high-end designed gown with lots of delicate lace on the body and on the hem/train. T was able to basically rework the gown, add boning to the waist, let out the hip area, and hem the gown in just a month. She totally saved my gown and my wedding. She was meticulous and I would completely trust her with any gown I bring to her in the future. My dress looked like a custom gown that was made just for me. She even created a one-of-a-kind veil to match. If you need alterations on a wedding gown, this is THE place to go in Nashville!!

Tatyana made my wedding dress 16 years ago and I just saw the box sitting in my closet and realized she deserves a review! She was amazing at taking the idea I had in my head and making it a reality for an extremely fair price. She consulted with me every step of the way to ensure every detail was exactly like I wanted. She later created a ball gown for me and again, was able to design perfection from an idea I had in my head. She is so sweet and caring and truly spends the time with her customers to learn what they want. She is extremely gifted and I would highly recommend her for anything from basic alterations to creating the dress of your dreams.

The owner is amazing shes sweeter the sugar and very kind. I went to a bridal appointment with my best friend and she listened and talked to us and was very helpful the store is very nice, neat and tidy.

Going to Fashion Atelier is a great decision! Tatyana did a BEAUTIFUL job with my wedding dress. We purchased it thinking that it wouldnt need much work, but after taking it to Tatyana it feels better than I could have imaged and fits like a glove - for a very reasonable price! She had great ideas and was also open to our input. Very knowledgeable about the fashion and wedding industry and gave us some great tips for the big day!

Tatyana was an absolute pleasure to work with. I got started on my dress a little late in the game, but she made sure my dress turned out perfectly, and on time. Her boutique is extremely cute and comfortable, and she really knows what she is doing.Her prices were a little high, but fair, as my dress did need a lot of difficult work (replacing about 30 buttons, replacing a zipper, and lots of work with beading, crystals, and tulle) and she knew exactly what she was doing.I cannot stress how gorgeous my dress was; I received a million compliments! She happened to have a beautiful belt on display that I just had to have, and she was able to add it to my gown seamlessly; you cant even tell any additional work was done - it matched that well.She also creates custom veils (and dresses) and had a few available, including one that matched my dress perfectly; I purchased the veil as well as a beaded comb that matched the veil and my dress. (She also has quite a few garters and different hair pieces to choose from (clips, barrettes, combs, etc.)My dress required extensive alterations so she offered me a discount on my veil and comb and I am so glad I decided to go with those rather than a generic one that didnt match as well.Tatyana was a dream to work with, whether in her boutique or even communicating via email. I never had to play the waiting game, and knew what was happening with my dress at all times. Tatyana always does an amazing job & is very trustworthy! Depending on the time of year, she can be busy, so an appointment is needed. She can do anything from making dresses from scratch to your typical alterations for dresses or tuxedos/suits. She made one of my best friends wedding gown from scratch and it was beautiful. She also makes veils/headpieces that are so gorgeous! Tatyana has been mine and my familys go-to seamstress for 15 years. She might be a little pricier (for alterations) than other places, but shes totally worth it!!

Going to Tatyana at Fashion Atelier was a wonderful decision. After I had my wedding dress altered from the store I purchased it, I left crying because it was a disaster. Tatyana fixed everything. She practically rebuilt my dress from scratch with only three days before my wedding. She is extremely talented, hard-working, as kind as can be, upfront with her pricing, and does not cut corners in her work. She gave up her entire weekend to fix my damaged wedding dress so my wedding day would be perfect. My dress turned out beautifully and cannot thank her enough. I would trust her with any clothing I need altered.

I will never trust anyone other that Tatyana with one of my garments! I will be a lifelong customer of her amazing services.A few years back I had taken my mothers wedding gown to be reconstructed into a cocktail dress for me to wear to my intimate wedding. I took the dress to another locally owned shop and could not have imagined the results to be as disastrous as they were. When I picked up the garment, not only was the fit horrendous, but there were orange and black threads hanging off of the poorly sewn seams. Needless to say I was devastated that I had let this shop destroy my mothers wedding gown. Thats when I reached out to Tatyana at Fashion Atelier in a panic.Tatyana managed to completely correct the issues with my dress, but she also corrected the issues with my daughters flower girl dress as well as my son and husbands vests. My wedding was on new years eve, and Tatyana took time during the holiday season to make corrections to all of these garments in less than a week! She stayed calm and turned a very difficult situation completely around. She is dedicated to her work and has a special attention to detail.Since this, over the past 5 years I have taken numerous garments to Tatyana and always walk away as an extremely satisfied customer.

Tatyana Merryman is sheer genious when it comes to dress alterations. If you are looking for someone to alter your dress, PLEASE GO SEE TATYANA MERRYMAN!! She is the sweetest person and will keep you laughing the whole time that you are there. If I was to tell anyone to put full faith in a person for dress alterations, it would be her. You will not be disappointed. She will tell you exactly what needs to be done, work with you on a budget, and let you decided if you like the changes or want additional changes.I had bought a wedding dress that I really liked. However, it was too big, too long, and the top was a halter (I dont care for halters on myself). Basically, I got this dress, because I was in LOVE with the skirt of the dress. However, Tatyana totally transformed my dress into a one of a kind. I could not ask for anything better. First, she changed the halter top into straps for me. Then, she removed some extra lace that was already on the dress and made it match the detailing on the rest of the dress. I still to this day have no idea where she removed the lace from my dress. After the straps, she tore apart the whole top and hand restiched every bead and peice of lace. She put in countless hours on my dress, and it showed. After she made the alterations, I came in for my fitting. I got it on and fell in love with it. However, she pointed out that some boning to the dress was sticking out just a small bit ( I never would have noticed ). She thought it could look better, and redone the dress a second time. Also, she pointed out that the veil I has purchased was on a plastic comb, and that it was not staying in my hair properly. She took the veil apart and reset it on a metal comb to help it stay secure in my hair. Anything that I wanted she done. Anything that needed to be done that I didnt think of, she mentioned and done for me. She made my dress absolutely perfect.Also, she understands that budget is very important. Before we made any alterations, she showed me what all would need to be done to the dress, the cost, and what she would suggest altering first. She gave me different cost options to as many alterations as possible to help save me the most money. I really felt that she cared and understood. She wanted the best alterations for the price that I had.Go see Tatyana!! You will not regret it! She does wedding dress alterations, bridesmaids alterations, and prom dress alterations. Also, she does custom make dresses for your own personal occasion.
