Exceptional service. Im heading to Europe and had two Rocky Mountain mountain bikes that needed to be boxed for transport on a cargo carrier. Kirk took them in, did an incredible job of preparing the bikes spending an hour and half each with attention to detail, and was able to accommodate my bringing mine in late in the evening before I needed for it to be done. He took care of us, prepared our bike perfectly, and charged us a very reasonable amount (particularly given the amount labor involved). I strongly recommend Jerks and plan to continue my business with them in the future whenever opportunity to do so presents itself.

If youre hoping to talk to a knowledgeable salesperson about models and features, this is a terrible place to go. I dont know very much about quality bicycles. The person I talk to knew nothing about the bikes on the display floor and couldnt answer a single question of mine. Maybe theyre good at repair, but I would never buy anything here.

This will be my go to place from now on! Brought my bike in on the fly for a dropper post problem and they stopped what they were doing to get a new cable run through and had me out the door in 20 min so I could go ride.Super nice guys and great little local shop.Thanks!

I had a terrible experience with this shop and owner. I purchased a titanium frame for $375 intending to build it up for a cruiser. I was away from town but took the owner’s word that it was in good condition and upon my return to town picked up the bike in a rain storm with the family in the car. Got home and hung the frame until the weather warmed up. When the weather turned to bike season I took the bike down and started to prepare to build it up. After close inspection I discovered some damage to the non drive chain stay that I hadn’t noticed before so I reached out to the owner about the issue. I didn’t ask for anything, rather just wanted to get his thoughts on how to handle it. Unfortunately, his response was to lie, deny and accuse me of damaging the frame, or even more preposterously, swapping the frame for a damaged one. This is a 90’s frame- not many of which exist. I confirmed his intention was to not support the sale and he confirmed, he wasn’t going to do anything about the situation. Didn’t even have the decency to discuss the matter. The bottom line is that the value of a shop is the service they provide, before, during and after the sale. I would encourage you to consider my experience and would warn against buying anything from this shop- new or used. Find another place to spend your hard earned money that will stand behind their sales and customers

After taking my granddaughters bikes to a few shops for a small repair they wanted to keep them for a week or so until I found this place and he said it was a quick repair and he was booked all week! It took about 10 minutes. Ill go back to him anytime.

Jerks fixed my sons bike in a time crunch. They stayed after hours to get it shape before I had to leave town. They put so much work into the bike it was like new. I was quoted a price from a competitor for just one of the parts that matched the cost of multiple parts from Jerks. They are a great value and their work exceptional.

I got my tubes replaced and was very pleased, I highly recommend their option to make the tubes less likely to go flat, they will replace them for free if they do happen to get punctured. Ill definitely be returning. (Hopefully not for a flat.)

Went in to the shop for a new saddle, and the guy helped me right on the spot. He found me a used one that looks new and even replaced it right then and there. Super friendly guy at the front today. All under $30. They’ve got a new customer for life.

Above and beyond service! Took my son’s bike in for a flat repair, they noticed a bad brake, and replaced it. And replaced missing reflectors I hadn’t noticed. Fast, friendly, and high quality work. I would definitely recommend them!

They were friendly, knowledgeable and went out of their way to help me and my son fix up a free ksl bike that we had picked up for him. Kirk was hands down phenomenal when interacting with my son. The old bike that I was using was a rust bucket and broke unexpectedly I had to have a bike in order to get to work so I stopped in I got lucky and they made it happen if you need a good quality bike that is tuned up while you can watch or run errands they have lots of new used and electric bikes this is my new bike shop 5 stars I even left a tip it was that good

We called multiple bike shops and they are all 7 to 10 days out for service. When we called and spoke with Kirk at Jerks Bike Shop he was also busy, but told us to bring our bike in and he would look at our bike to make sure it was safe for our daughter to ride. We took our bike in and he was very knowledgeable, helpful and took the time to make sure it was safe. He made several adjustments and upon completion told us there was no charge... How nice was that! We made an appointment with him to get our bike in next week for a complete service. Kirk and his Staff were awesome! Jerks Bike Shop is AMAZING! After two other shops wouldnt even look at my bike for almost 2 weeks, they stopped everything and fixed my broken spoke on the spot and charged me NOTHING! Ill be back for sure!! Give them your business, they deserve it!!

This has become our bike shop of choice. We were walk-ins, and expected to leave the bike for maintenance that another shop estimated would be more than the initial cost of the bike. (In fact, the other bike shop called the less-than-2-year-old Costco bike a disposable one.) However, the staff at Jerks Bike Shop took time to look over our bike and make critical safety adjustments and recommendations for maintenance on the spot. And, amazingly, they declined payment. We opted to purchase their speciality bike lubricant for ongoing maintenance as our way of expressing gratitude for their kind, outstanding service. We highly recommend this business! FYI: Their business name has no reference to their characters - it is simply an acronym made out of the first letters of their familys given names. They are genuinely kind, fair, honest people doing their professional best in their field.

I took my bike in to be rehabed after 6 years of not using it, and neglecting it terribly.I looked at their menu board of services and not knowing much told them I needed the $400+ service, because my bike is a mess.Kirks response Heres how it works. I look at it, then I advise you on what is needed.About 10 min later he tells me about $80 bucksHe could easily have taken advantage of my lack of knowledge, but instead was honest.You really cant beat that!

I love the name, because there could not be a nicer group of people who run a bike shop! I was in Murray for 10 days on business and was able to get in a few days of riding. These guys were able to get me set up with the basic supplies I needed at a very fair price. In addition, I neglected to bring my helmet, so the owner insisted I borrow his personal helmet during my ride! Who does that? Just shows the integrity of these guys.

All the guys who were here are super friendly and helpful. They are super relaxed and professional and really take care of you!

Just found these guys and like the service thus far. Great customer service. Very customer focused. I have now changed my 4 star rating to 5 star. They not only provided the service as promised but even finished the service ahead of their originally quoted time estimate. They have earned my business and I know next time I have a bike repair need I will be going back to these guys.

This place is awesome! Ive been trying to fix and upgrade a bike on my own. Ive had some success, but mostly my experience has proven to me that its probably a good idea to let the professionals take care of any major bike repairs. Anyway, I had definitely bitten off more than I could chew. I needed some special tools to finish the job. These guys solved the problem. It was a pretty quick fix, but required some expensive specialized tools that I did not have. I tried to pay them for their time, but they wouldnt have it. I will definitely be spending my money here the next time I need some work done on my bikes. They also told me about their ridiculous buy back program for kids bikes. If you buy your kids bike from them, they will give you whatever you paid, in credit, towards the next bike, when its time to upgrade or size up. Awesome service, genuinely nice guys, and great deals!

I have been to these guys a few times for different things. To get better material underneath the tires so they wont go flat for a while, a part that helps to keep the pedals working on the bike. Both times have been very good and no problems with my bike. I recommend this place to anyone with a bike.

I trust their advice and ideas on everything bike related and enjoy dealing with them.Work weve had done:1. Major cleanup of my wifes vintage city bike. It came out gleaming and riding beautifully. Kirk helped us find a cool box and a new helmet that matched the bike.2. Tuneup and repairs on my recumbent bike. They saved and fixed most of the original equipment rather than trashing it and finding new. Ive got back several times to improve ride aspects and they did it right then and refused to charge me.3. Fitting out a new bike with fenders, bell, and other accessories.Its a small shop and dont have a big bike selection on hand, but they can order anything and suggest nice accessories to match an existing bike.

Great experienceI was worried about someone else working on my bike, but wanted to get new shifters adjusted correctly. Feared a big bill. They did a good job at a good price. Did more than expected and price was less than expected. Very happy.

Visiting the Salt Lake City area and had a ‘run in’ with a local tire killer/thorn. Found Jerks Bike Shop. Kirk gave us some excellent quick and very reasonably priced service and some terrific advice. Highly recommend this shop.

Best local bike store I’ve ever been to. We took two ebikes to them to put together and they were very reasonable and they had them together in a couple of days. They even power coated bottle cages to match our bikes. I highly recommend them and will continue to have them service all 4 bikes we own.

Not your average bike shop. The moment I walked in I was greeted with a smile and asked how my day was. These guys know their stuff, treat people well and have the most reasonable prices Ive found in Salt Lake area. I took in my 70s Schwinn tandem to get tuned, got it back shortly after and they did extra work on it without an extra cost. Id recommend this shop to anyone. Definitely not jerks at Jerks.

I was working on my eagle project, I was fixing bikes for some refugees in the area, I had brought many bike parts, tools and tubes, and even brake pads but I didnt bring any brake levers. I wanted to fix this bike so I went to the nearest bike shop, and it was Jerks. I explained what happened, and that I needed to buy a brake lever. I asked him how much it would cost and he said he would cover it. It was a great help to the success of my project and he was very kind, polite and understanding. I would definitely bring my bike here!

Twice now these guys have been great and helped fix me up a four wheel rolling walker for my dad and his transport chair. They are now safe with brakes that work and jerks bike shop service is excellent. Give it to you straight up front which is half the bottle omigosh honesty!!!! They only charged in all honesty what they need to and tightening a simple brake cable. I had no idea how to do was free. They take care of their customers.

Scam alert. Went in after texting an employee about a listing on KSL, said the bike was available and in good condition. I get there and the bike still needs to be fixed. Guy tried to upsell me to a bike that was double the price. Wouldn’t recommend unless you’re looking to get ripped off.

Stopped in with a flat tire and got fixed up quick. I was given great information on setting up my bike to be way better at protecting against thorns. I thought I was thorn proof but he showed me just how thin my protective measures really were. I’ll have to come back and get the full setup next time I’m in town. We also talked about setting up a bike with electric assist so now I want to do that too.😎

These guys are great they help me out because lets be honest sometimes I am not that savvy with what I am doing. They have great parts and great service. I go in there thinking all the time these guys are to small of a store to have what I need and they have it. Lastly they tuned up my bike this spring and I have put over 2000 miles on it and it still performs great I am definitely taking it to them next spring.

Amazing service!One of my knee joints has bending limitations rendering my bicycle very difficult to pedal. Not fun! Kirk took the time with me to figure out how to machine the crank so that I can enjoy my ride again. He came up with a solution, had it machined, and returned it to me quickly and at a fair price.I’m grateful to have Jerks nearby so I can enjoy riding again, just like I did when I was a kid! After visiting other bike shops and finally finding Jerks, I wouldnt go anywhere else. I got two fantastic bikes for a killer price. The owner also took the time to answer my novice questions, find the accessories I needed, and custom fit the bikes to fit my frame and my daughters. I watched customers come in and out with various needs and everyone was treated with a friendly hello, and great customer service. Plus, the shop itself is pretty cool--definitely not a chain store feel, but a place where you can tell everyone loves what they do.

I started going here for the tune-ups and the a great mechanic I knew, I keep coming here for the way I am treated. Tune-ups are great and Kirk has always been great about taking the time to answer questions and explain options. I recently got new wheels and had some questions after I took them home, Kirk was really patient and did some extra research to make sure I was happy. I highly recommend Jerks and will be back soon!

We are new to the area and was needing a new bike shop . Tried a couple and was disappointed compared to to bike shop we have used for 18 years in Nevada. Stoped by to get a used 16 for our five year old . ( hes got two already that are just horrible) Tony the man started fixing one up for him that was a good bike but not the the bike . Then we found her . A belt driven easy rider ! And it looks good at the skate park to! Wont tell the price but it was a sweet deal !! They were so nice about us changing our minds last minute . 2 stars for me based on Costumers service. Needs to be better.

I went in without calling ahead to see if they had my part, which could have been a waste of time. Especially since i was looking for a part for my brothers go-kart, and they didnt habe the exact same part, but it ended up working perfectly. When i walked in the man at the counter was busy with another customer, but the repair men in the back immediately called me over to see what they could help me with. I was in and out in under 10 minutes, and i thought i would pay 20 bucks, but it ended up only being 3 dollars! And to top it off, the guy at the counter (i think he was the owner actually) ended up giving me the part for free! If i could give them more than 5 stars i would!

They fixed my road bike correctly, which two other bike shops could not do. Besides that they where reasonably priced and gave me excellent service. THANKS Jerks! I am putting a lot of miles in and happy with the shifting you fixed up for me. Also the technician had a great attitude.

Needed a hand fixing my bike post tonight and stopped by the shop hoping it would still be open. They had already closed for the night, but offered to take a look anyway. After working on the component for a few minutes they were able to get me back on the road for no charge. These guys were awesome! I know where Ill be going for my bike needs from now on.
