Both of the owners were very pleasant and professional. It was fast and easy. Great service and great customer service. The price was competitive with other emissions testing places. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes.

They dont do brake and light everyday but they wouldnt put it on their website. I drove a long distance just to find out. Waste of time. Please make this precision on your site.

Please. Don’t walk from this place RUN. DO NOT get a smog here. I’m not going to write an entire paragraph on what our experience was but it was AWFUL and we are STILL dealing with repercussions AND WE PASSED SMOG. Please, do yourself a favor, save yourself time and money and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Proprietor and wife are friendly, helpful and fast. Their process for checking in, getting tested and checking out was less than 15 minutes, at least for my 2013 Ford Edge Sport. Ive used them for years and will continue to go to them as long as we live here.Just be sure you go to the one in the middle of the building not the one towards the street.

What a joke. My car passed this smog check with flying colors, emissions, my ECU (cars computer) was ready to go. My vehicle has 4 Catalytic converters (it’s a Ford), one of the smog techs told me that my numbers on two of my catalytic converter’s were not visible due to rust underneath. He could read the other two, just not these two. So instead of maybe grabbing a little brush (like what I did, 2 minutes of my time. He fails it) and making the numbers visible.I have read other reviews, & clearly they use this as a form to make money. So you go into there for 1 smog, “oh you almost passed, just get us these numbers. Come back and pay for another” essentially they’re making you pay for TWO smogs.

They did a great job and were very efficient. When we first arrived, they asked us to come back in an hour or so. At first, we thought of just going to another place. But, Tracy who was working in the front was so friendly and courteous that we decided to wait and return in an hour. He was able to get us in and out and I explained I had 2 more cars to bring in. Each time, I was in and out pretty quickly and actually did not mind the wait. I had the opportunity to watch him and the mechanic in the back work with many customers and they were so friendly and professional with everyone. Great experience!

I have been taking all of my and my familys cars to Murrieta Smog Star for years now, always fast and efficient.

Do not, I repeat, do not try to get your smog test done here! The owner, Eric, is extremely rude and has no sense of customer relations. Went in to get a smog test for my van and was told the catalytic converter was upside down and he could not read the numbers. He informed me that if he had the numbers on the converter, he could do the work. After going back to my mechanic, he informed that the numbers were visible and provided them to me to give to Eric. I go in to the smog center and provide them directly to Eric and then he informs me he has to be able to read the numbers on the converter itself. I asked why didnt he tell me this before going to the mechanic. What a run around and still no smog test! He then has the balls to tell me to get out. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau about this one!

Honest work here. Star certified and fast. My only thought is they should add a buzzer to the front counter in case everyone is in the back. They are polite, respectful, and honest. This is my go to smog place.

It was a total mistake coming to this shop. If Confucius was alive he would have advised me to go somewhere else. They charge for smog checks that do not pass whereas other shops are free. They also did not provide writtenestimate and to top-it-off they where rude. They should know word of mouth goes along way.

Great People and Professional Customer Service. Our brakes stopped working and we needed to leave out of town the same day. The guys took the car without appointment and changed the brake pads and rotors in few hours. The price was great and the guys diagnosed few more issues with my Subaru for free.

Eric the owner was very honest and professional. I had my car fail smog somewhere else and they couldn’t give me a reason why without me paying a diagnostic fee. Eric not only gave me a free diagnoses he even made sure we knew just what to fix he replaced a catalytic converter and made sure to get a quality replacement “magnaflow” and made sure that it was life time warrentied. He stayed late enough to fix it let me drive the car until it was ready to test and sent me on my way passin. With flying numbers. Unprofessional business owner! My car passed the diagnostic but failed the visual inspection. Owner still charge me despite of failed visual inspection portion. The paper says i passed, but he wont transmit to DMV. Bad practice. I do not recommend this shop at all!

Went in for a smog test and was told it would take 20 - 25 minutes. I was amazed when 10 - 15 minutes later it was ready to go. $37 out the door with a coupon. Friendly, fast and frugal.

Went for a simple smog check. WAITED for them to help 2 OTHER CUSTOMERS that arrived after. Asked why we other customers were helped first and was not given an answer. WAITED ALMOST AN HOUR TO BE HELPED. Staff was rude. Not going back again.

On a slow week day, I waited almost an hour before they even touched my car. Then they helped another couple who came in after me, and got them in and out within 20 minutes; no appointment. Its as if they were intentionally wasting my time. I would give them zero stars if I could.

Horrible customer service. Went in and couldn’t get help. I Called for an estimate and he told me to go somewhere else. They did not want to answer a simple question over the phone about pricing.
