I just bought an amazing stereo system from John at Audio Video Therapy. I cannot recommend him and his team highly enough! I was completely replacing my old system. First, John took the time to understand what kind of music I listened to and the sound I like. He initially recommended a reasonably priced system (which was great). As I gave him feedback, John changed the speakers and electronics, and with multiple listening sessions, I got closer and closer to what I ended up buying. Johns responses to my questions about the system combinations were spot on, and not once did he push me to buy higher-priced products. Once I made a decision, John delivered demo equipment to my house so I could be sure I was happy. Not a lot of high end audio stores in the area and I was very satisfied with my experience. I picked up a turntable and I am very happy with the purchase. The environment is a very low pressure and it seems like the employees are just really into music and video. I had called in advance about the unit I was interested in and agreed on a time for me to come down. They had it set up in a listening room in the back and I was able to audition the unit for a long period time before making a final decision on the purchase. The salesman asked if I had any questions and just told me to have fun and come and get him when I was done.Really nice people. Very knowledgeable staff. A good mix of high and mid tier hardware. Do yourself a favor and check them out.

I built a new (open architecture) house with a home theatre. I asked for advice on how to handle the troublesome acoustics I was experiencing with the equipment I bought elsewhere. John and his team provided some great advice on how to solve the issues. Tom came to calibrate the new receiver they recommended and besides the great (additional) tips and fixes Tom suggested, Tom did a great job on calibration -- what a difference in the sound quality. Reflexion reduces, bass sounds great, voices are clear; problem solved.

Tom was great - hes incredibly knowledgeable and takes the time to listen to you and pay attention to minor details. Case and point I had mentioned I was waiting for an Optical cable to come in and wanted to try one of their DACs - Tom made sure he not only gave me one so I wouldnt have to wait but made sure it would match the red color scheme of my entire audio system.The place is also very homey feeling and very quiet so it gives you plenty of time to relax and do some critical listening. Accidently stumbled upon this wonderful audio store and so glad I did. There are not many places like this anymore and their knowledge and customer service are top notch. I needed a new phono cartridge and their suggestion and service for installation was a great experience. John also suggested the perfect replacement for an old phono preamp I had and it is a perfect match.They have a amazing assortment, from the top end of HiFi to great pieces in the mid to lower budgets.

OK so let me start off with me, Im 25 y/o bought and ordered more things than I probably ever should have but HAVE NEVER WRITTEN A REVIEW audio Therapy has made a first for me in the aspect of having such a great buying experience and getting unmatched help in finding audio equipment when I dont kno want that much to begin with. They actually took the time to listen to what I wanted, what I wasnt looking for, and my budget. And they have an endless amount of knowledge about anything audio. Once I explained a very rough idea of what I was looking for they got to showing me everything that matched with what I was saying and they were on point too. Never once did I feel like they were trying to push some big expensive equipment on me just to make a deal in fact they coached me on what I didnt need and what I should focus my money on. Everything they hooked me up with was definitely in my price range but the performance level of the equipment seemed to surpass what I spent ten fold. I got some insane equipment for a bargain compared to other places. Everything they carry is top knotch as well you wont find anything cheap or overpriced in there, if they carry it they carry for a reason. They have no problem demoing and letting you take your time as I did because I always take forever with finding the right equipment and they were patient and helpful the entire time. If you are searching for anything audio go there! And if you go next door to best buys magnolia room you soon are an idiot in advanced lol

John and the guys at AV therapy are all you could ask for as a consumer in the world of speakers and supporting equipment.I had already purchased a complete home theatre setup from another retailer and it didnt take me long to get the upgrade itch again. I originally visited their store because they carried SVS subwoofers. Having disclosed that up front, they were still willing to setup multiple speaker configurations so I could hear different towers, centers, surrounds, and subwoofers on any combination of pre-amp/receiver/dedicated amp they had available in their many theatre rooms.I discussed my current system and where I felt it came up short. Instead of pushing me into a costly whole system upgrade they suggested that I stick with my initial assessment of a subwoofer upgrade. They even let me take the SVS PB-2000 home to try out before I committed to a purchase.Ultimately I demod 4 different subwoofers over the period of a month before I decided to purchase one. At no point in time did they pressure me into a purchase or become frustrated. These guys understand how subjective this hobby can be since theyve been in this business a long time. They all have engineering background (electrical, sound recording, etc) and theyre in this business because theyre passionate about it. Very refreshing experience.
