Like many others, I dreamed of getting my card modded and customized but did not know where to go or start. With so many shops in the area it can be a little overwhelming on a choice to go. Let me tell you that True Customs is the way to go. Abel and his crew offer a wide variety of services at a fair cost. Abel is the person that helped me and made it super simple for me. I came to him for new rims, new wheels, and a new exhaust and he helped me out quickly and efficiently. Abel helped me select the proper items to make sure it would be the biggest bang for my buck and always melts my best interest in mind. Set up an appointment to get infinity speakers all the way around, amp, sub, get led lights installed wit CANBUS warning cancellors, and tint my windows... Had to wait over a week for the next availability which I didnt have an issue wit... but the guy that set up my appointment forgot to put in the computer that my appointment was changed from 3pm to 10am, I left work on my lunch break and had a coworker follow me to give me a ride back and 3/4 of the way there I get a call saying they are going to have to cancel my appointment because theyre short on guys to work... i was then informed that I would have to wait another 2 - 3 weeks for the next available appointment which makes absolutely no sense whatsoever seeing as how they canceled my appointment as I was on my way to drop the car off to get work done... so after putting a $200 deposit down to wait over a week to get canceled on last second to get attitude for me saying never mind because I was leaving town around then and I wanted my deposit back... i ended up going somewhere else... after getting there tk pick up my deposit the owner left and said that I would have to wait for him to get back to get my money even tho there was someone working the desk... unprofessional...

My boyfriend has came here for multiple things from getting a subwoofer installed, tint and had his car repaired from an insurance claim. He has never had problems and theyve always been respectful. The work they do is straight forward and great quality.

My experience was good but it could’ve been great. I bought 4 new 20” rims and tires and headlights. With a bigger rims that required my truck to be leveled. Everything went well until I had to have the alignment done. I took it to their place of a alignment and they could only do what was required per stock. To do it properly it was going to cost an additional $200. This could have been captured at the beginning of the transaction. I noticed that my low pressure light was on and that they could not clear it. After visiting this facility eight times I decided that enough was enough. That’s time in my life I cannot get back. Good salesman with great attitudes is why I give this rating a 3. I found the staff although talented were inexperienced in time management.

Buyer beware... Do your homework before purchases. Double talk . Hidden fees . Unknown added costs. This has been a nightmare for me during business with them. Car parts I find online, cost one price online now cost x 3 for the same item, Car rims that cost online from several sites that cost (124.00) each. Now cost 1800.00 (full set) from them. He told me this right in front of my face. Once I shown him what it cost online for what they quota me. He change his price. Said he made a mistake. Only after I brought this to his attention. (Double talk) again .. Tinting I paid for out of pocket (160.00) Second car now cost me (240.00) same brand or car, Double talk . Now stated expense tint sales special etc again (double talk). Now of this was mentioned during the first tinting. For me I will never do business with these guys again. I never got a fair deal from them. I understand there some mark common practices with companiesbut this is Ridiculous .... Do your homework but be a victim like me,,,i contacted a lawyer on these guys . to try to get a better deal on my contract or signed agreement. if any body out can tell me how does a window tint and 4 rims at 124.00 retail a piece comes to 1.500 this was how much i settle to get rid of them. i will never do business with them again. people do your homework and asked for a list of parts and labor before signing. they have hidden fees and charges. dont be a victim like me.

I purchased a $130 Groupon window tinting from here for rear windows. When I arrived the manager told me they can do the basic tint or I can upgrade to their premium tint film with lifetime warranty and get my front windows tinted for $165. I thought what the hell. Its only $35 more so I agreed. 3hrs later the job was done and it turns out that the $165 was on top of the $130 from the Groupon. I am not happy they were not clear with their pricing.

I took my truck in for a stereo system. One they used brands I never heard of. Two they put a different sub from the one I payed extra for. 3 they drilled holes into the back of my truck to hold the amps when they could of put them next to the sub box. 4 another stereo shop said for what I paid I could of gotten well know brand amps, speakers and sub.

If I were able to give 10 stars, I would. True Customs is absolutely awesome. The manager, Abel and the Sales Associate, Peter were all-stars when it came to customer service and satisfaction. They will forever have my thanks. From now on, I will only be coming to True Customs for any further upgrades/modifications to my truck.

I got several quotes before I decided to go with True Customs for the tinting of my car. There quote was the cheapest and they were close to me. The reviews I saw seemed legit and fair so I decided to go by and set up an appointment. I had a quote for $229 that the owner sent me via email, but when I arrived Peter decided to pull the old that quote was only for 5 windows, right Abel? When I clearly asked for the quote to be for all 7 windows. He then started quoting me some numbers and doing some punching in the calculator and basically added another $20 to the price. It didnt matter to me, even with the dog and pony show to get another $20, that price still had them below anybody else. I just didnt appreciate the scamming. They did a nice job. Everything looks good so far as I expected. It wasnt the CLEANEST job. They did leave some of the material in my car and left water streaks running down the side of my car. Because of these things I docked a point.

Im very disappointed in the customer service of this place. I picked up my husband after he dropped off his brand new truck that he was excited to upgrade and thought he had gotten a decent deal with a decent company, but shortly after we left he received a phone call that even though he had signed a contract of promised services and made payment, he now has to pay more because they MADE A MISTAKE and actually dont have what they promised and charged him for AND that there arent any refunds. This has become a HUGE issue for us in the last couple of months and caused a ton of stress because they have not yet resolved the issue. I dont know how this business has as many 5 stars as they do because our experience has been horrible and were never the kind to write such negative reviews, but rather give people and companies the benefit of the doubt.Please BE CAREFUL with this company! Its our duty to warn others at this point to not get scammed like we did.

Review Update:I went yesterday to meet with the manager, Abel. He was a very nice man, however the trip was a waste. Also, 1 of his sales people who was NOT involved at all, came outside & attempted to be confrontational, bad business to treat a PAYING customer this way. Ultimately, we werent able to come to an agreement. Abel although a nice person, did as expected and defended the business. I in turn, defended my daughter. Lesson learned. In the future, consumers need to photograph every bit of their cars (inside & out) if they arent sure about who theyre leaving it with

I had my 1992 c4 corvette tinted today, I came in as a on the spur of the moment customer, they did a fine job, they went as far as re-doing the back window 3 times and since i was the last unit for the day they stayed over till it was done... just under three hours after closing, they did not even try to say can you come back tomorrow..as well as the price was set because of the contract and there was NO attempt to add extra time on the ticket, the price was far and it stayed the same. as a small business owner I took note of this fact, I feel they gave me the best possible end result. I have read all the reviews, the good and the bad and I will be a returning customer, they put forth a effort and that makes me feel good.

I think they should change the name from True Customs to FALSE Customs ... I had 0% Trust on their commitment. They give all FALSE statement from the beginning start giving any time, you can visit them for a service.. They bill you at first, even the work is not started.. there is no WORK order concept with them. First day, after 1 hour of waiting, they said the material need for the car not available and asked me to come next day.. When I visited next day, after spending 2 hours, they said the order didnt arrive... When I cancelled the service, they said that will not return the money immediately... They will send the refund by mail. Such foolish process I never seen in any shops.... AVOID, AVOID, AVOID going with them ! ALL are FALSE statements..

***ZERO STARS***I was just ripped off and taken as a victim of this place. I went in and spent $3,850 on pure disappointment and un ethical practice. The staff seems to be a bunch of unprofessional a-matures, that are just out to take peoples money. Peter the Sales Guy will promise you the world and back to make whatever money he needs to make and then far under delivers. With so much regret I paid these chumps for a lift kit, new tires and an alignment. The lift kit was not properly installed ( or wasnt even the right one for our truck.) a couple of months later I realized the thread on the tires was very worn, at the same time neighbor of mine then pointed out that the tires were not aligned and were not straight. I called true customs the very next day and speak to Abel who is the so called manager. He told me to bring the truck in to check it out. Once their he sent us to go get an alignment which true customs agreed to pay for. At the alignment shop, the tech that was helping told us that the arm supports where placed backwards, there for he would not be able to do the alignment. With that being said its obvious that they never did an alignment to begin with ( like I had paid for) otherwise they would of noticed there was a problem! After that we returned to True Customs and relayed the information to Abel. He told us to leave the truck and he would find out what the problem was. At that moment we requested that they fix the lift kit, and replace the worn tires for new tires (because it was as their negligence of poor workman ship, that lead the tires to ware down so much in only a couple of months). Abel said he would try to figure out what the problem was, but we would have to buy new tires because its been two and a half months. We did not agree to that, since again it was their POOR WORKMANSHIP that lead to this problem. I then proceeded to give them time to make things right and fix the problems only to get the run around by everyone. Every time I called to get an update, I would get an answer. Instead they would just say they would call us back, but they never did. They had my truck since November 8 2019 till today November 14th 2019 and they havent done one thing to my truck. On the other hand, When I went in today, Peter was there. He just handed us the keys and didnt even acknowledge the fact, that I had just spoken to him an hour earlier and he promised over the phone that he was going to make things right. Never the less we walked out only to find that the truck was parked around the block from their shop ( out of their sight, out of their mind). With that being said ( and only partial of the story) Save your time and money and dont bother being a victim of this shady business. I just reported a charge dispute on my credit card and I encourage everyone else that has been ripped of by them to do the same. I will be reporting true customs to the BUREAU OF CONSUMER PROTECTION/FEDERAL CONSUMERS ASSOCIATION and to every social platform available. These people are thieves. They knowingly jeopardize the life and safety of people who pay them with hard earned money, just so they can make a buck. As a business owner my self, I fee very ashamed that there are business like this out there. NO INTEGRITY, NO STANDARDS, NO QUALITY, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE, AND DEFINITELY NOT TRUST WORTHY!By the way the owner Alan never called me like I was told several times.And I forgot to add, that when the invoice was written up, they verbally expressed that they were going to make modifications to the invoice so they wouldnt have to pay sales tax. Im sure the IRS wont even happy to hear that.

When I say this place is excellent i mean it. I showed up without an appointment and they provided me superior service within minutes. I was kind of disappointed because their lounge has comfy leather couches, free wifi, and an Xbox.

I had my windows tinted on my car on 9/25/18 by a company called True Customs. I had them tint previous cars without issue. However, they did a horrible job on my 1998 Lincoln Town Car. I brought the car by the next day to point out three major defects in the tint job. The back window nearest the third brake light and the two rear 1/4 glass windows nearest the top corner. Abel, the manager said that they were to busy to look at it and to come back the following monday. I had other commitments and became available to have them look at it again today 10/11/18. I called at first to let Abel know that the tint had lots of small bubbles on every window and that the tint was not acceptable. I requested they remove the tint, refund my money as I would like another company to install the tint as it doesnt appear they have a skilled installer. He said he needed to look at it first. I drove down there to show Abel and he said that it was an old car and thats just how they are. Made up excuses about the rubber window seals causing the bubbling. Total BS, Ive had many cars tinted and know the difference between a good tint job and a bad tint job. I again requested they start the refund process which he told me would take 14 days and that I would bring the car back to have the tint removed and obtain my refund at the same time. Ive already made 4 visits to the shop all on my time/dime and havent been able to resolve the issue. Abel referred me to the contract that I signed when I got the car tinted. I believe the contract is a two way street and they should have made good on their tint job. The lifetime warranty isnt an issue with the tint material, but with the tint installation and what appears to be improper prep and cleaning prior to tint installation. He asked me to come back on Monday again, but I do not want to go back again and have to deal with Abel without being able to obtain my refund. I dont think its unreasonable to ask for a refund on this as the work was not worth the price paid, irregardless to the vehicle value... a $200 tint job (discounted to $180) should still be a $200 tint job and done at a professional level as they make it a point to advertise they do tint starting at $89.

Decided to show up in the morning to get my rear windshield retinted, Peter was there to greet me with a great deal that was at least 50% off compared to some other shops around San Diego. Not only did he give me a great deal but his staff had me rolling out in streets again in a little over an hour time. Definitely call ahead and get a price because he keeps his word and does a great job on cars. Ill definitely have to come get the rest of my windows tinted and maybe some rims....

They lure you in with low prices in the beginning, then they take your payment before they get started. Then you get the calls, we need this part or this part is damaged we cant do it for the original price and they already have your vehicle and its taken apart, my $700 2 day job turned into 1400 1 week job, with multiple your car is ready but then after a closer look things you paid for werent even attempted, avoid this place, theres even signs that say promises made by employees are not valid.

UPDATE: I have been back to get the back windows fixed and they came out this time with a blue tint to them which was odd and another big air pocket that hasn’t settled yet and had soap in it so I had to schedule another fix appointment. I will say that every time I come back they make every effort to fix my car and accommodate me. I just hope we can finally get it perfect this time.Window tint was good, has a lot of air pockets in it but I’m sure they will settle over the next day or so. Prices were good only problem I had is that I felt like they didn’t care about my car. Finger prints on the paint. Dust all over my car and other debris. I had just had it detailed two days prior and it was still clean when I dropped it off.

I have enjoyed my experience at this place for the simple fact they have a great customer service and a keen knowledge of automobiles. They have all you will need to hook up your ride, anything from rims, audio stereo, tinted windows etc. Even as you wait patiently for them to work on your vehicle they give you the luxury of kicking back on the sofa and watch some Netflix.

Horrible services this peoples are hungry for money on 08 17 2018 year they advertise with sign 499 dollars for paint any car l took 2005 scion for paint they charge me 1800 dollars when l went to pick up the car they wont release the car they charge me extra 500 dollars altogether l paid 2300 dollars l had to go to the police station next store to them they decide to release the car to me almost two years now the paint its falling off they give me warranty of 5 years l stop by to tell them about the paint they said the owners name alan to paid 1500 dollars to paint the car again this peoples are no different of criminals they RIP off people and they think its funny never recomend this place

I have paid in full, in advance using my credit card and made an appointment with Peter to have my audio components I already owned from another vehicle placed into my new one. First visit; 4 hours, second visit; 5 hours, third visit; 6 hours. I ordered both window tint (this was completed and I am satisfied with the results) and car audio component installation. At no time did I have Peters undivided attention as I made my requests and inquiries. I have taken multiple hours of PTO from work to allow the shop to complete this work in a timely manner. I feel I have been very patient, but have been met with shifting answers and unsure information regarding the status and requirements to complete this installation. After the third visit, when I asked for a refund, Peter stated that the shop would not be refunding me my money even though no audio installation service was conducted.

NON RECOMMENDED. I took my car in the morning first car there and got my car till closing hours. When I got there my car wasnt being worked on yet and RUSHED to get my CAR DONE in a hurry to do the next car. My TINT ended up being not that clean, They charged me extra to remove my old tint and DIDNT TAKE IT OFF RITE. it has a patch of my old tint...he know how to rip people off ... I went back to see if they can fix it but no, they charge extra to get it fixed. they told me that my tint is guaranteed but yeah, whatever.....Dont go here. Save your money and time somewhere else

Am jassy, today am here at true customs for my new cars windows tint. Everyone is so rude. Nobody want to do their work on time.. Am here since 1pm . Right now its near to 6pm. They did not finished yet. When I asked a cashier about my car, he said 2 hours more. They always start from 3 hours and take near about 8 hours to finish one car tint. All are soo lazy. They will charge money first and are not giving my money back. On phone they tell me $139:00. But They charge me $ 215.00. They said we will not driver doors tint. If I want I need to pay 215. I agree. But am still waiting. Its 100 times better, if you will go to another place to tint your car. Otherwise you will be waste your 7-8 hours to tint your car. They catch customers by show price. $139:00. You can experienced if you want. They all are so rude. I will recommend to customers to go anywhere except True Customs.

They do excellent work but be prepared to sit all day. Something like a radio system I sat for about 7 hrs how is that even possible?

Went to get my windows tinted (Honda Accord) a while ago, the tint is still on perfectly, no bubbles or peeling off. The staff was really friendly when my wife and i went and made us feel comfortable while waiting for our car. They asked us if we wanted to play ps4 or watch a movie, we chose a movie. Ofcourse the car was ready way before the movie ended. The car looks great now, definitely happy with the job done and the price was cheaper than most places I found. Going back next time.
