Nice, pretty typical farm stand / country store. Roast beef deli sandwich was just okay, hoped for more flavor. Produce and other fresh items looked excellent. Staff was super friendly. Also had what appeared to be a decent craft beer and wine selection.

I love this place!!!! This place is a hidden gem. Really great farmers market right in Needham! The best part about this fabulous place is they have a whole fresh organic full grocery store!! Tons of cool stuff to try. Along with an entire flower/garden section on the other side, and a deli to get lunch. Great weekend trip!!Can’t wait to take full advantage of fall and make some fresh apple crisp! ☺️

From NY State, Syracuse. Visiting family we have driven by & always wanted to check it out. Last trip we tried twice. Missed the closing by 5 min. on the first try & it was closed for the 4th the next try. Today we made it. Got some produce, English Muffins, a piece of carrott cake & a delicious looking cinnamon roll. My husband cant wait to try the cake tonight. Its a lovely spot. I wanted to check out their plants.....maybe next trip.

Its a fantastic farm stand! In the fall their plethora apple varieties are always a reason to go. In the spring, its a good place if you wavy gardening supplies and good advice, but to mention incredible ice cream and great sandwiches.

This is the best produce store. If youre a gardener they have everything you need in their greenhouse. Their baked goods and pre-made meals are delicious!!

Expensive farm store that offers the best of local fruits and produce. From fresh red currants, local grown peaches, to Quebec grown strawberries, this farm store has it all. They have a Deli, bakery, ice cream shop, beer and wine, greenhouse, and gardening section.

Everything is high quality. You can also find things like duck, rabbit and other game. Veggies in the summer are grown locally and fantastic. Deli and sandwiches are favorites from our family. Be sure to get the Volante cookbook. The Christmas shop is a real destination. A family owned business with deep roots in the community. I feel good supporting them because I know they support out community. You need to check it out.

Awesome selection of delicious produce and other healthy foods, including broad gluten free selection. In addition to a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, you can get everything you need from fresh baked goods to gourmet chefs ingredients to prepared meals made at the farm. Even the beverage and candy sections are impressive Be prepared to get more than you expected, its too hard not to - and bring your wallet!

SO MANY APPLES! This is the place to check out if you are looking for a variety of fresh and locally sourced apples. Their deli is also excellent, and their chocolate chip scones are the softest Ive ever had!

Beware that they have a policy that if youre under 30 years old with an out of state ID you cannot purchase alcohol here(Im 25) and the cashier will be rude about it. Other than that its a really great place to get some farm fresh veggies outside of the city with a decent little craft beer section. I guess Ill return in 5 years.

This is a hidden gem hot spot. Huge store that offers fresh local fruit and vegetables. They also serve coffee with a sitting area. A deli section, a wine and cheese section, fresh local breads, and other fun stuff too much to mention. Do not drive by this place without stopping in (I almost did)!

Great place with friendly staff. Fresh, delicious food. I buy groceries and also stop for breakfast and lunch when I have the opportunity. When the ice cream is open I cant help myself, their coffee frappes are delicious.

Ice cream is delicious. Also has Gluten Free Ice cream. Young man waiting on us was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Also were able to enjoy our ice creams on patio with umbrella.

Recently visited this farm. Unfortunately they have a policy where if you have an out of state license you must be over 30 to purchase alcohol. Although we respected the policy the tone of the cashiers were very rude. There were three of us, two MA license and one CT license all 25 year old. We were looking to get some plants but were turned off and consequently turned away. Although I love the selections and style of store it was hard to overlook the service.

When I had an issue with my tree, and Ryan did everything possible to help address the situation! They go above and beyond and really care about their customers!! Wonderful staff and beautiful trees and other holiday merchandise as well.

Volante Farms is our source for local produce of all kinds. Right now the apples are plenty in type and quantity and the taste is outstanding.Volante also has a selection of locally produced top quality meats of all kinds.

Volante is an amazing gem hidden in Needham. Its completely based around local product, whether its outside theyve grown on their grounds or product theyve brought in from other local sellers, they dont import anything. They have a neat little nook with beer, wine, and cider, sections for cheese, meat, frozen, and dairy in addition to produce, and their staff are almost always delightful. The only drawback is that you have to pay more for higher quality product, so if youre on a budget, this might be the wrong place.

Excellent selection of gardening supplies - especially plants and seedlings, perfect for our climate, with extremely knowledgeable staff eager to help. In the fall, they are also the best place around for heirloom varieties of apples, available in big crates out front. A local treasure!

Amazing produce, did you see the size of these scallions? All their produce is jumbo sized and top-notch quality. I had cookie-dough ice cream and it tasted fantastic, like Ben & Jerrys, which is my fav too.

The selection of local goods here is amazing. You can get local meats, pastries, pizza, wine, you name it. They also carry Fomu ice cream for anyone who craves vegan ice cream. The deli makes great sandwiches to go and the bakery makes amazing donuts! The only downside is the place is pretty expensive, but you do get what you pay for!

I am extremely disappointed in my first visit to Volante Farms. I was early to a babysitting gig, so decided to stop in to see if I could find a Mothers Day gift. I was browsing through the store, found a bottle of wine that I thought might be nice for my mom, but decided against it last minute and put it back. When I exited the store, I was questioned about if I was forgetting to pay for something. I said no and proceeded to walk outside through the flower section because my mom really loves flowers. After deciding I could not afford the flower selection, I started walking towards my car. I was yet again stopped by an employee, asking where the bottle of wine was that I was walking around with, my response being that I put it back. I am glad I did not buy my Mothers Day gift here. I highly doubt the employees treat every customer the way they did to me and I will never be returning. While this place was cute and alluring from the outside - which is why I pulled in in the first place - never judge a book by its cover. Never have I felt so stereotyped and disrespected.

Nice and upscale place. We frequently stop for apple cider donuts in the morning. Bought some local brews there also. However, today they refused to sell me beer with foreign passport. Im a student here and Massachusetts laws accept foreign passports as valid id proof to purchase liquors. Two cashiers turned me away in a somewhat rude manner. The manager was nicer and explained that it is their store policy not to accept foreign passports. Im not quite sure where I can read about this policy beforehand. So, fellow international students, you may try, but get Massachusetts id before you shop here (unless youre lucky).

Way over priced. If you love yuppie experiences you will love this farm. If you want to buy food at reasonable prices you wont.

Love this place best for their baked goods, farm fresh vegetables, and meat selection. Also, the wine and beer selection is very well chosen, and the seasonal sections (plants, ice cream, apples, holiday store) are worth the trip on their own.

Great produce selection, plants for sale, and overall market. Apple cider donuts are worth trying. However, they use too much oil for toasting the bread, and the service is slow.

Volantes simply has the best homegrown tomatoes, lettuce and corn you can find in the summer. I was amazed to find so many beautiful varieties of lettuce in the summer, and the quality is amazing. Its a drive for me but worth the trip.

Go here to eat healthy... The new building is amazing, very clean and they have an awesome selection of foods and plants. The greenhouse is huge and uses collected rainwater for irrigation. This is a really impressive place / operation.

Home grown corn in season, local and home grown vegetables and local apples in the fall. All off high quality.

Great service. We got our Christmas tree today and basically all parking spaces were taken. Yet, we didn’t have to wait for help bagging the tree or paying. They also carried the tree to our car.

I just love Volante farms. Their knowledgable gardeners helped me pick out all the new plants for our condo, as well as informing me on how to best care for them. A trip inside the market left my wallet empty: there were so many beautiful products (fresh meat, freshly picked vegetables, specialty breads, etc). Its a gorgeous store and its a place that is worth the trip.

Quaint farmers market with a wide selecrion of local and organically grown food and produce. The layout is pretty hectic so it can take a while to find what youre looking for. Prices are high as expected for the quality of the food.

My office being just a stones throw away from Volante Farm is a blessing, one that I take advantage of frequently. I go there for lunch and for random errands all of the time and always have a good experience.Volante is divided into two joint businesses. On one side is their deli which provides sandwiches, salads and baked goods to the masses and on the other is their farmstand which has all kinds of veggies, fruits, dairy products and various other items.Ive been a fan of their produce and sandwiches however this place being in Needham, the prices are a tad higher than I would like. The quality is there however.Theres never more than a 5-10 minute wait for the food and theres a few tables available both outside and in. Theres also plenty of parking in their private lot although it does fill up during the lunch hour.This place has been in business for a hundred years and its not due to luck. Their commitment to quality shows throughout and it makes it a worthwhile place to check out for lunch, groceries or a quick bite if in the area.

I come for the deli lunch. I like the Italian on a Braid with Hots! However, if you see a daily special that intrigues you, BUY IT, who knows when it will be back, or if youll be there.
