What I liked about dealing with NuEar to purchase my hearing aids was the follow up visits. LI Hearing has been very helpful through my difficult times with tinnitus and mild hearing loss. Audiologist Christine Kent-Colliers has not pushed me to buy new hearing aids before I was ready, and did not eventually sell me more hearing aid technology than I actually needed. Just had to make this review my dad is 89 and in great shape expect for his hearing. I always heard so much about Long Island Hearing so I made an appointment for my dad. Its very hard to bring someone that thinks they can hear, but now more people are wearing masks so it got a lot harder for him to get by. Let me tell you from the appointment to the professional service that we received from Dr. Christine Kent was outstanding. Why I say that is because we felt no pressure to buy. Dr. Christine just wanted to educate us. Dr. Christine showed my dad what percentage of hearing he had in each ear. I met Jennifer back in 2016 after seeing an ad in the paper about hearing aid repairs. I had been to many other places to try and get my 8 year old hearing aid fixed. Everywhere I went they denied me and tried to sell me new ones. That was until I met Jennifer. I strongly recommend the staff of Long Island Hearing if you plan to get tested for hearing issues or if you need to purchase hearing aids or have hearing aids repaired.Hearing aids can be fairly expensive, so having someone qualified to help you select the best product to suit your needs is extremely important; however, having a provider that can help you properly maintain the hearing aids is perhaps even more important.I purchased a set of fairly expensive hearing aids from another provider over ten years ago. Although that company was a large provider, the staff had a great deal of difficulty providing adequate maintenance. Unfortunately, that company was more interested in making a sale rather than making sure the hearing aids fit my needs and continued to perform effectively.After a couple of frustrating years with that Company I decided to give Long Island Hearing a try. This turned out to be an excellent decision. The people at Long Island Hearing are more interested in making sure that the product works properly rather than making a quick sale. The staff at Long Island Hearing not only made the necessary repairs that the previous provider could not make, they also provided regular tune-ups for the devices in order to keep them functioning properly. In addition, I was given some important tips to help me avoid future issues.The support staff is friendly and they go out of their way to schedule convenient appointments. The person I see on a regular basis is Dr. Christine Kent. Prior to retiring I worked in Nassau. Since it was better for me at that time, the staff would schedule my appointments with Dr. Kent in one of their Nassau offices. Since I live in Suffolk, the staff schedules my appointments with Dr. Kent in their Suffolk location since I no longer work in Nassau.There are many companies that sell hearing aids but I don’t believe that it will be easy to find another company that will provide the same level of professional service that is provided by the Long Island Hearing staff.Bill V.

For the last 35 years I never knew what I was missing. Now at 65 years young, I can hear my wife talking. ( is that a good thing?). Anyway, Dr. Christine Kent is a delight to work with. Ive had hearing test before, but this one was the most comprehensive, and high tech ever. She explained all my options. From simple low tech hearing aids to top of the line bluetooth devices. Since she accepts my insurance, I went top of the line rechargeable so no need for batteries. She gave me a 4 week learning program. Yes, Im cheating a little. My tv volume went from 52 to 19. I highly recommend Dr. Kent .

I have recently taken my mother to Long Island hearing for a new set of hearing aids. Her original audiologist had retired and it was time for a hearing review for Mom.Long Island Hearing staff have been extremely patient and wonderful in dealing with my Mom. They have taken the time to thoroughly review her needs and explain things to her until she fully understood what was going on.They took to time to train and continually follow up to make sure all adjustments and equipment is working properly.They have even signed her up for improved phone system for the hearing impaired.My wife and I have seen a positive improvement in my Moms hearing...we dont have to yell for her to hear us:)As I result I started to use Long Island Hearing for my own hearing health.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH Dr. CHRISTEEN KENT was fantastic. DR. KENT TOOK CARE OF MY 87 YEAR OLD MOTHER -In LAW like she was part of our family. After taking my MIL to several other hearing offices in the area, Dr. KENT was the only audiologist who was able to help her. DR. KENT diagnosed my MILs hearing problems and sent her hearing aids out to be rewired and adjusted properly . When they were returned back to her she, reprogrammed them to allow her to here perfectly . I first saw the ad in the doctors waiting room in the Nesconset office and thought it would be a good idea to get my hearing checked a second time just to be sure if I do have some hearing loss so I made an appointment.The results showed that I did need hearing aids just to assist in hearing sounds I long forgot especially while driving my car.I must say Christine doesnt give up when a problem arises and thats a great thing considering the cost. She felt that if I spent a small amount more I could get the better aids and my telephone problem might be fixed and they were!Ive been wearing the new hearing aids ever since but needing to wear face masks is a bit of a problem when trying to understand what people say through them. Im wearing my third set of hearing aids in the last 25 years.The first pair I tried to wear 25 years ago were a disaster. That provider is no longer in business! What can you say when the professional Christine interrupts her day to help you in an hour of need for no charge (and gives you a peppermint patty at the end).My dad had a terrible, major stroke ending with Locked-In Syndrome, where he can do nothing but move his eyes up and down. We had his hearing aids but did know anything about them.Christine interrupted her day when I arrived, walked me through their usage (Right stripe is the right hearing aid), made some repairs and gave me tips on maintenance and issues that might arrive.Christine is a good human being.

Fabulous experience. Dr. Christine was patient and caring. I purchased the Nu Ear ISDS Pro which is control with my Iphone and could not be happier with my new found ability to hear. I previously had In the ear instruments but there is no comparison. The clarity and flexibility of these instruments is wonderful. I have even adjusted and saved settings for my favorite restaurants and for my grandchildrens voices.
