My microwave was making some very strange sounds so I had Appliance Tech check it out for me. Zach was my technician and he was very prompt, courteous, and professional. He inspected the microwave and found the source of the problem and fixed it right up for us. I appreciate the expertise and personable character exhibited by Zach. Should I need any future appliance services I will contact Appliance Tech again.
For the record, none of this is opinionated, everything here is straight facts.My dryer was making a screeching sound, (it dried fine) I figured it was some kind of belt. Seeing how it’s under warranty I called Lowes who scheduled for Tuesday April 20 between 8:00-12:30 for someone from Appliance Tech to come over. After speaking with Lowes I called Appliance Tech to confirm the time because I couldn’t be home and my wife had to leave at a certain time to pick up our child from school. Apparently they use a messaging service because the person I spoke with could only take messages and forward them with the standard response of someone will get back to you by the end of the day.The tech named Justice arrived as scheduled and my wife went on to do her regular morning routine in the kitchen area. An hour into the arrival of the tech I get a call from my wife asking me to call the company because their tech disassembled the dryer, reassembled it and just left without fixing it. Instead the dryer now powered but did not operate. I called back but of course could not contact them directly because their number. I sent them a text and they responded informing me that Justice would arrive at the end of the day because he was almost in New Bern and has calls at the beach but lives right by me. When I got home later that evening, THE DRYER NO LONGER DRIED, a technical manual that was left outside. There was no feedback from the company, no invoice, nothing. I had texted the company since apparently this is the most direct way of getting in touch with them. The next morning I received a text apologizing and said their head tech who is the owner would be out on Friday the 23rd. In the meantime, we were now left without a working dryer.Again I was at work and my wife was responsible for being home while they serviced the dryer. I got a call from my wife while the repairmen were there so I asked to speak with them. The owner said the issue was 1 of 3 issues with the power which they would be able to better identify if they took the dryer with them. Keep in mind that my original issue was only with a screeching sound. Power and heat became an issue after they put their hands on my dryer. So of course I let them take it but once again we are left without a working dryer. Turns out they had to order parts so we had to wait for that to come in.So the part came in and they finally returned my dryer Wednesday April 28. As usual, no kind of feedback, work order or receipt was provided. The next day I requested something for my records and they provided a receipt for a belt and a bracket. So what happened to the electrical issue which was the reason they said they took my dryer?Because of my job, I didn’t have a chance to look over their quality of work so I didn’t notice until this morning May 4 that the hose to my water which connects my washer and dryer via a splitter was hanging on the wall! Since the dryer and washer can operate without them we never noticed. So then Im going through the effort of having them return my cover. While I identified the missing cover I noticed that they had dented my dryer and scratched the side.Yesterday I received the new cover and as I tried to place it back in, neither of the 2 screws they gave me fit so I had to contact them to let them know. After all is said and done, the dryer is no longer screeching loud but there is a low squealing sound and slight rattling.
Poor new Appliance dryer does not work, service tech made appt on 10/21 8-12, no call no show, reported to New Bern office still no call. Very unprofessional. When an appt is made please show or call common courtesy . Complete day wasted and still cannot dry clothes .. UGhhh

Extremely Dissatisfied!Was scheduled to have a warranty repair done on a dishwasher at a rental property. Appointment time was scheduled to be between 12pm and 4 pm. At 11:02 am, we received a text stating the technician was 20-30 minutes away. At 11:06 am the technician called and stated that he was sitting in the driveway of the property. My wife informed the technician that we had just received a notice that he 20-30 minutes away and we were not currently at the property, but that as we live approximately 10 minutes away, we could be there shortly. The technician Colby said that he could wait for a bit while I drove over there to meet him at the property. It took me approximately 15 minutes to drive there, however when I arrived, the technician had left without calling or texting to inform us. I had dropped everything I was doing to meet him at the property earlier than originally scheduled. I was at the property by 11:25 am. We reached out to customer service at Appliance Tech, and the customer service agent was pleasant, and she apologized for the technician obviously not following protocols. He had given us a 20-30 minute warning 2 minutes before he actually showed up. He told us he would wait and then left without even attempting to contact us.To make matters worse, we were then contacted by a supervisor / manager who was extremely rude. He told us that it was their policy not to wait for people and that if he had been the technician, he would have left too! He saw nothing wrong with the way the technician handled the situation, and he said that it was our own fault for not being there when the technician arrived. When asked if I could speak to his boss or the owner, he said he was one of the owners of the company. The lack of customer service was appalling. The rudeness in dealing with customers was ridiculous. We contacted Whirlpool to schedule a different vendor to do our repairs. Avoid using these people at all costs.

Horrible service! They use an answering service to handle there phone calls so you cant get answers to questions, time frames, NOTHING. They dont take calls and they give you a six hour service window. Unacceptable customer service. Unfortunately this is the company that Lowes uses to repair appliances under warranty.

Used this agency in regards to my Whirlpool washer’s pump system. During a pandemic it’s hard to get anything done period. However, the technicians came out to my residence and solved the problem within an hour when the parts were received. The technician went over and beyond his due diligence and explained to me what part of the pump caused the issue, how to avoid the problem, and also took measures to make sure the problem did not resurface. Had a appt scheduledWaited home all day for this company to show up and they never did.What kind of company does that😑If I could give a zero star I would.Update....Almost a month later they finally got the part my washer needed.Sent out the tech ....almost 2 hrs later the job was completed and tech was leavingWalked in the room just to find water standing in my floor ...under my hardwood floor and down the side of my washer.Called the tech right away for him to tell me he didnt notice all that water standing.Theres no way possible he didnt see that much water.Will never use this company again.

This was the service company Lowes hired to fix my dishwasher. They scheduled a day and didn’t show/call/or email. Then when they did get someone out to my house they had the wrong part that I waited for for over a month. Then, when I spoke to the boss, he was indifferent and acted like it was my problem. Completely unprofessional.
Very disappointed with the company. Left work unfinished. Would not respond to messages left. Was paid their money, did not finish job, as stated before would not return my phone call, had to pay another company to finish appliance tech’s unfinished work.

I read the reviews and opted to try anyway because the internet is filled with Karens. It was an awesome experience. 1st off when you deal with a warranty company like Lowes, Whirlpool, Samsung etc. Everyone knows they schedule the appointments remotely from wherever the headquarters is without verifying from the local rep or knowing what the local rep has before that. Example if the local rep has to do 8 repairs a day and of them the first 2 are major 2 or 3 hour repairs and its the middle of the summer near the beach, so the traffic is horrible. Then he or she knows the last two on the list cant get done. The rep will call to reschedule but Karens dont care and dont understand. Majority of the negative reviews had to do with scheduling and most do when it comes to service businesses. Lastly, my experience. I needed a part for my Whirlpool dishwasher. I tried to find the part myself and saw that there was a backorder during the pandemic. I figured I would call Appliance Tech. Yes there was an answering service, but I was contacted back a day later by the technician. He informed me of the hard to find parts but he could put in the order and install. The part came in early he arrived on the date that he scheduled not the warranty office in Texas. He fixed the pump in my dishwasher. Then gave me recommendations of how to avoid spending extra money. Moral of the story is....its the internet and everyone writes when they are angry and few write when they are happy. If you are unhappy with the tech and the company fine...but if you are unhappy with life....thats your problem.
Cant give this company one 1star rating because I never let them get to my home, to do a repair for Lowes. Lowes provided this company as a service repair warranty for my Samsung appliance after I received the appliance appointment I went online to do reviews on the company. All Ive seen is 1 star w/95% 1star rating. And, most people wrote wishing they could give a rating below 1-star, so I called Lowes back. Lowes made another appointment for me. While I was on the phone I looked up that company mostly all 5-star ratings. And, 20 minutes later the original company Appliance Tech Inc out of New Bern North Carolina, called me on the phone, the conversation started out OK, but switched to a rude tone, person calling tried to convince me to reschedule, see if she could pressure me, into giving them the name of the company. When I stated, your ratings online are all 1 star, and saying I am not rescheduling I have another company... she tried to pressure me into giving her the name of the company, that was rescheduled through Lowes. I replied another company then she got more attitude and said something about they have lots of basically excellent emails thanking them and stating the opposite of what is online, I said Ok then she said something else, and hung up the phone.
I would actually give this company a Zero Star if it were available ... After two attempts to repair a Microwave, they cancelled on me again today. The first attempt was a few weeks back and I got a call from some out of state phone number after waiting for a couple hours for the Tech ... I didnt answer the call but it apparently was someone who now claims he is the owner of the company ... On that day he told me since I didnt answer his call he canceled the appt because he didnt know where my Unit # was even though they had come out one time before to diagnose the problem ... He said he wasnt going to spend his time trying to find my Unit (which are all consecutive numbers) and since I didnt answer he didnt show up for the appt. Today, they cancelled again and the guy calls me this time, but from a New Bern number - I answered the call and it was him saying the other tech got tied up on another job and wont be here ... I asked if the tech could come late and the guy says - will you pay his after-hour pay? He said he has been in business over 50 years and never has a complaint - well, thats another lie and anyone who can look at Yelp and Google can see they have a very poor reputation ... I will be calling my friends at Lowes and seeing what other company can repair the microwave and issue a formal complaint with them as well.
If I could rate them lower I would. Not sure how anyone does business with a company that calls the day before and cancels with no solution offered when the company was referred by a major appliance vendor. Haven’t heard back in over a week and a half after they said they won’t be in my area for my scheduled appointment. Good luck staying in business with these practices!
Shady company. This is supposed to be a factory warranty center so I contacted them at Samsungs direction for warranty repair on new dishwasher at Morehead City bungalow. While they were there, I asked them to switch the fridge door to open in different direction. Tech was competent and nice but was unable to tell me what the charge would be. I was told the office would inform me of the costs. Never received a word from the company. Looked at my bank statement and they hit my debit card for $203 and $234 on the same day. No notice or explanation of what the charges are for. Never received an invoice in the mail, nothing. When you call the company, you have to run through a gauntlet of numbered options and when you do reach a person, she is just a message taker.And even getting someone to actually show up was an ordeal with lots of phone calls back and forth, sending in receipts, etc. In fairness, the tech seemed competent and professional. Unfortunately, he works for a shady, unprofessional company.
My Samsung refrigerator ice machine had an issue with freezing up. If you have a Samsung, chances are you know exactly what I’m talking about. Samsung contracted Appliance Tech to come out and fix my fridge and I couldn’t be happier. Josh, the technician, was courteous and called 10 mins before arrival. He was efficient and thorough and even took all the old parts with him to throw away.Thanks y’all!

GE refrigerator service call Saturday set up appt for diagnostic Tuesday pm. Appliance Tech called monday, came Tuesday am, had replacement part ready for install Wednesday pm but we weren’t home so they came first thing Thursday am. Refrigerator was repaired in 30 mins and is working perfectly. I spoke with the office several times to make sure they had correct payment info. Everyone was courteous, knowledgeable and professional. No issues whatsoever and would absolutely do business with them again.

I called Frigidaire and describe them the problem I was having with my new under one year old Frigidaire refrigerator. The problem was the icemaker failed to make ice.Frigidaire after asking a few short questions gave me a reference number and told me that I would be having a service tech come out to my residence the next business day. I was excited!I was given a phone number and told to follow up with appliance tech to confirm the time for the diagnostic of my refrigerator.After I called to confirm the scheduled time I was told it would be approximately 10 more days out from the original day. I reluctantly agreed.A technician came out to my house first thing in the morning and diagnosed the problem. The technician then ordered the correct part that the technician said the manufacturer recommended that the technician do to resolve the issue of no ice in the ice maker.About two weeks later the technician came and applied the fix that the manufacturer recommended to the technician.After one load of ice the ice maker failed to work properly. I called the phone number on the magnet that don left on my malfunctioning refrigerator.I found out that it is a call center that has nothing to do with technical aspect of Don and his appliance repair business. I left a message with his answering service to please contact me with an ETA of when the next visit would occur.Approximately seven days later I did a follow-up phone call to appliance tech wanting to know what the status of my repair was.Being annoyed because my freezer is not working properly I asked Don how long it would take to get it operational.I asked Dan who had called me back after his answering company gave him a message to call. Because his company never followed up.Long story short… I was told directly by Don that a $10,000 unit he was working on is way more important than my $2.40 day bag of ice habit.Again I ask diane if he was really actually telling me that a $10,000 unit was more important than my $2000 unit. At which point he agreed and said yes it is.Zero customer service skills even though diane told me and I verified 50 years of service he has dealing with appliance repairs. I’ve never met him but I’m pretty sure he’s not even 50 years old.Customer service terrible, following up on appointments scheduled terrible, ordering the correct part in a timely matter terrible.I was told by don via the telephone after Don failed to follow up with me and give me a reasonable date for the next phase of repairs.Don said he has been made well aware of the defect in this particular model and knows it is a piece of junk.If you are going to use this company to repair your appliance… I would definitely make sure you keep up on Don and make sure he follows through and a timely manner.I did tell Don that I was going to tell his supervisor and Lowe’s and Frigidaire about his comment. Don told me that is OK.I called Frigidaire they took him off the ticket and reassigned me to another company.
This is the worst place Ive ever had to deal with. Lousy customer service, horible to nonexesiant follow through. I was forced to use them for warranty repair through lowes and what an unfortunate thing for me. Ive been waiting 3 months fire them to fix my fridge. About 5 weeks just for someone to call me back. Dont call this place for anything! ! Watch YouTube or buy a new thing before you even think of calling these people.
Crappy Crappy Crappy. Spent 600 on a portable dishwasher from Lowes. Used 3x and it quit. Lowes said it was under warranty and sent me to this company. Scheduled an appt. The earliest they had was 3 weeks later... The day before the scheduled appt they called and canceled... Fast fwd another month... Im here waiting from 8 to 12 losing work time waiting for them to show up... A call to the call center is no help at all.
They dont even deserve 1 star. Use a call service so you never talk to anyone who does anything except take messages, was told to not bother the tech, it wasnt my right to call the person who fixed the stove, lied about my invoice and status of repair. Nasty office employees when they do return a phone call.
