This Sears is very nice. They give lots of discounts especially on beds. We purchased our 2 mattresses from here only. There are many discount and coupons for the t shirts. Staffs are very helpful and nice. It has big parking structure and free WiFi.

Ended up here by accident while taking a short cut home on a cold day... Brought back memories of my childhood when I would cry when my parents would make me come here with them hahahaha I never liked their clothes but now my opinion on that has changed and its sad to see theyre closing but they are also hiring seasonal I hope to hear from them I put in a paper application as soon as I walked in the door!

Visited Sears optical the other day. Optician was good. The glasses I bought are good and at a fair price. In general I like and trust them. Sears as a chain has a good tools and appliances department. Electronics is good. Sporting goods I like. Overall a fair group of products at a fair price.

This location shuttered permanently, amid the bankruptcy. No part of this store is still open. In its final days, amid covid-19, this store closed off to the public, certain non-essential sections (such as clothing), and operated by selling only essential items, such as tools to comply with NJs executive order allowing only essential retail to remain open. But it was slated to close due to the bankruptcy anyway. And the outbreak may have prompted it to permanently shut down sooner, as guidelines for essential retail became stricter. (Plus it could only sell certain items that were essential.)

I visited the New Brunswick store to look for a stove. While in the store I needed to use the restroom. It was so filthy it was ridiculous. There was no toilet paper lots of it on the floor and in one toilet. Not to mention there was human waste on the toilet seat. I feel sorry for the employees if this is where they need to relieve themselves during the work day. After this I couldnt shop that was the end of my visit with Sears.

I have been going to Sears for years. Almost all my tools are Craftsman. Good quality tools with a great warranty. Ive also used their Automotive Service. Its a shame that New Brunswick Store is closing. Very sad.

It is a great department store, which is closing because of the unfair competition from online shopping. Prices were always reasonable with a wide selection of merchandise. Hardware, tools, clothing, appliances and other merchandise all under one roof with a little more class than the mass merchandisers

Low quality stuff. Bought a Nordic track treadmill for almost $700 dollars and earned $150 cash back in 10 payments every week. Which is not fun. They give you $15 dollars each week, want you to keep coming back to buy their stuff. Not worth it. Spend your money somewhere else. No wonder Sears is closing.

I had a car battery replaced this weekend. Good price, fast service, and the guys were helpful, courteous, and friendly. When I explained to Lee, the store manager that the store price was slightly higher than the online price, he was quick to offer an adjustment to match the price. Thank you.

Poor appliance service. Broken item upon delivery and left my old working refrigerator in the driveway. Poor response by the delivery team and customer service. Not only they cant provide solutions, they left my house without a refrigerator for a week. I had to buy another refrigerator from a local vendor which they delivered the second day while Sears still want me to wait another 4 days. No wonder they are going down in business with this kind of service.10/1/2019 Update: After calling the customer service weeks after weeks, I still havent get my refund.

Ive always liked Sears! Craftsman tools used to be the best (before they moved manufacturing abroad). Kenmore appliances are still the most reliable in my opinion. Its a shame the company has decided to have its salespeople peddling vacations and home repair services instead of sticking to what Sears does best--selling appliances, mattresses, home goods, etc. Ive only been to this store weekday mornings and it always looks pretty empty... Its too bad Sears is losing market share to online stores. I much prefer speaking to a knowledgeable salesperson (without them trying to sell me other nonsense!)...

I Went to get tires for my car. I tried to get someone to help me for 20 minutes. Everyone ignored me. Employees had an attitude. No wonder Sears is almost nonexistent.Im so glad I went there because I walked out and went to Tire Barn on Rt# 130.There I got great service,great tires,great price, and walked out happy.

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT use Sears for anything. By far the worst experience! They do not install appliances correctly, their customer service is embarrassing, and their technicians are scam artists. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME! I wasted hours and days on phone with them to correct so many errors with the installation of my AC unit. We spent weeks without AC due to the tech not installing the unit properly and waiting for them to come back out to correct it, then fighting the bill. I have never been so frustrated with a company and their customer service. I wouldn’t even call their customer service a service. I am due to move out of my house in a week and failed my CO inspection due to the tech not installing the proper devices to ensure our new unit complies with codes. If selling a home wasn’t stressful enough now we have to deal with a failed inspection. I wish this company would go out of business so no one has to deal with this incompetence!

I dont know why everybody like to bash this place, either theyre cheap or too lazy to look up things on their own. Im a car guy and I ALWAYS check if they have a product available at the store to pick up or even reserve it for me. It has always worked well. I always find what I need to find. I dont need to be walked around the store to show me where things are. Ive always use their Craftsman products. They are not the best in the world, but they get the job done. Ive ONLY returned 1 3/8 ratchet and got exchanged for another one. Every transaction Ive made has gone well. Only drawback is the line for ringing can take some time why? because someone is always complaining about a price or return.

Do not come here!!!! Bought a cordless bushwacker for more than the sale price online and picked out up on Rt. 1. A guy walked in the back with one open and came out to give me mine. Came home, box wad1 taped up and tool used!!! Came home, opened the box and say on the phone with Sears 2.5 total hours! Talked to Gerry, then said give me a manager. Say on hold for Deck the manager 1 hour 7 minutes and 3y second. NEVER PICKED UP!!! Called again from my house phone and talked to Carlos whip saps no managers available, they will call me back in an hour or so. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME BUYING FROM SEARS ANYMORE THEY ARE GOING SO BAD DOWN HILL!! You can get better prices AND beret customer service anywhere but here.

Getting a furnace and A/C unit installed by Sears was one of the worst decisions Ive ever made as a Home Owner. We are choose Sears for peaces of mind at least this is what our salesman sold us on. The sales experiences was the only good part of our whole ordeal. But it was all down hill from there. They said we would have a project manager that would handle our project from the beginning to the end. This was a lie we had to call and look up every resource to find them and were only contacted by them after we threatened to sue. Our installers were horrible they made a huge mess in our basement and yard and to add insult to injury they failed part of the town inspection. We also had to have a service call a week later after everything was fixed. Ive had a lot of work done to my home and by far this is one of the worst experiences Ive had thus far. Anyone who has had work done knows who stressful it can be, they were the worst of the worst of my experiences. Do yourself a favor if you are looking to get some type of home improvement done, go by word of mouth and choose a referred reputable contractor and only use sears to buy hand tools.

My battery went in my car on Sunday on my way to a super party and I had to pull over at a speedway gas. My girlfriends uncle took me to Sears as it was just closing so the staff at the east brunswick location went above and beyond to help me get a battery. The young man at the register was what a model employee of a great company should be. He did everything possible for me so I was able to this battery by helping with me in every way he could. Sears is very lucky to have a great employee working for there company and this guy deserve a raise. I live in Morrisville Pa and Ill start going to Sears just because of this guy. Thank you Sears.

Advice for people who are or were planning before to get there car service here dont waste your time I have been going to this place quite a while but most recently I have complained about the mechanics who are working on my car which Im not sure why they are not taking it seriously my last service they forgot to fill out the windshield water which I have to return to tell them and this time even worse than before which they almost got my car engine damaged because of their unprofessional mechanics because of their unprofessional service,they forgot to tighten the engine oil gauge dipstick and as well as the cap for the coolant water when I start driving after they were done with oil change I took turnpike the car starts smelling like something was burning up so I took the exit and checked the car and it was leaking out oil underneath the car and then I took the car to nearby mechanic for check up he was surprised that the engine was still ok because of the oil gauge and coolant water cap open so please keep your eyes open even though if you still want to go there for me no more sorry Sears I have had enough of headaches from your unprofessional mechanics.

Came into the new bruncswick, nj auto center location . They welcomed me with open arms . Had nothing but an amazing experience. All the staff assured me everything will be ok. They are extremely professional. Had a great experience. The manager helped me throughout the process. Sheryl was extremely friendly and helped me a lot . Terrible experience. I had a return and got confirmation by phone (with store employees name) and two online chats that the item was eligible.I drove 30 minutes to the store and when I arrived, they said no, despite the receipt and documented proof.They stated that the phone number is from a call center overseas and they dont acknowledge online emails/ chats.This stores phone number always goes to voice mail and doesnt return calls, so I had no other options.Attached is the manager who told me this and to leave more messages on the voicemail next time.How this company is alive in 2019 puzzles me....

Sears Delivery for appliances has the worst customer service ever. I paid for a refrigerator 5days ago to be delivered today Sears stated the night before i would get a two hour window of when i would receive the item. The delivery time was for 7:30am-9:30am it is now almost noon and i haven heard anything from Sears and i have called all numbers and they will pick up the phone and then hang up. So i have paid for something that i have not received. Sears is unprofessional and I recommend you to NOT purchase from them.

It’s your parents’ department store!Sears used to rule the retail world. Unfortunately, it hasn’t had the grace to die a sudden death like many rivals. Instead, it slowly lingers, as the life ebbs from its barely breathing corpse.The signs are all there ... deferred maintenance, shopworn displays, apathetic staff, and haphazardly maintained merchandise.When you enter a business that’s vibrant, that’s engaged, that’s thriving ... you can feel it, there’s a tangible electricity in the air. There’s none of that here.

Poorly staffed, many shelves a mess with items stolen from packaging. Are unable to handle warranty issues for items bought from now-closed Sears locations. The repair center is also closed now (permanently, it would seem). The real kicker is that prices are the highest Ive ever seen in this location. Disturbing as it may sound, Walmart is a much more pleasant experience.

I was in a tight spot. I was in New Brunswick from upstate PA when one of my brakes began making a loud noise. I called Sears and they told me to come over and they would take care of me. I needed both a new pad and rotor for one my rear wheels. They gave me a fair price to complete the work. Since the other rear rotor and brake pad were also worn, I had them repair both rear wheels. When the job was completed, it cost me $80 less than the price they originally quoted me. Given that I was a walk-in customer with no appointment, I feel as though they got me through the ordeal rather quickly and efficiently. I was also treated very courteously.

The last time I was in their, I walked in to see if they had something I needed and their was a line at the register 10 deep. 10 minutes later when I was walking out, their was still no cashier and the same people that were in line, were waiting to pay, very poor.On another occasion, I was outside looking over a lawn tractor which was poorly made and had a plastic transmission.5 minutes later I was harrassed by security and a lady manager and asked if I was going to buy that? I promptly said, no my 26 year old Craftsman Tractor is still going and built far better, this one is junk and walked away. You cant look at what you may buy without being harassed. Poor!

So I was dismissed with my question not answered. & maybe she didnt know the answer but i would have preferred her say that. As we were leaving I saw Briana & asked her the same question. She went on to the store website & explained that I would have to order it myself. Thank you Briana because you could have just brushed me off as well but you were a very good Customer service Rep. Decided to walk around Sears to shop for childrens clothing and a gift. It was a very hot day outside, and as I was walking around it felt like there was no ventilation in the store. The childrens department was messy and stifling since it is off in a corner. Went into a dressing room to try on a shirt and was sweating! Employees looked miserable. Went to check out amd asked about the a.c., the cashier told me that the owner decided not to turn it on (bitterly adding that he was sure wherever Mr. Owner was he had great a.c.).Seriously? Cutting corners and saving money by refusing to turn on the a.c. on a day that was over 90°?!There are some cute kids clothes, the womens department is so dated and clothing is old feeling, and the elevator area smelled like a path station.Cant say that I will be surprised if Sears closes their doors!

Ive never had a problem or questions that werent resolved or answered for me. Very friendly staff every time i go. Maybe some people are just approaching the shopping thing a bit wrong. Dont shop if your in a rush. Its stressful and your stress rubs off on others.Then you want to blame someone else. Its not right or fair. Everyone has to work for a living no job is easy. Be Conscious when shopping, Be patient & fine tune your Time management skills its tough but, can be done. You choose to live in Nj so its a conjested state. Retail is tough.
