I agree with the review of the previous customer about the experience with Anthony. I believe I spoke with the same very nice lady who said he would be able to work with me to help resolve my issue. However he wasn’t interested in providing good customer service and as a GM should be more willing to help resolve customer issues that are definitely within his control. I purchased furniture and was also going to purchase an area rug but I’ve now decided to spend my money where my business is going to be appreciated.Follow up: I received a call from Jeff to discuss my concerns. He was eager to assist me in resolving this issue and provided excellent service recovery. Jeff was able to completely turn this situation around. Thanks Jeff! You now have a customer who feels valued.
If I could give negative 1000 stars I would. Horrible customer service . I brought furniture with them . I live in Philadelphia toot the drive and since they don’t deliver to Philly I Brought a U Haul to pick it up. $287 for that paid mover $250 to go with me. I called days in advance to get my furniture for the warehouse to the store. The seller Ryan that helped me said it be there the 4th. I called twice Herod going the 5th the day I told him I’d be coming they said I was good to go. The. I get a call saying it’s not there will I’m driving on 95 to meet them. Then they have a super hard time canceling the order so I could go to a local store to get furniture that day. The my out of pocket expenses they refused to refund over the phone and said I’d have to come in or get a check. I asked for them to mail it to my moms address just in case someone tampers with my mail I’m new to the area . They refused after outing me out of hundreds of dollars. I work everyday I can’t drive to DE just because . I hate this store May Allah bring justice to this store for the bad deeds
We went here today for the second time, first time was 3 years ago and we bought a sofa and love seat. Today we got just a couch and ottoman. Both rooms weve had great experiences. Great customer service and great prices. And we werent coming here to replace our old couch, we are just adding one to our basement. The older set is still holding up great! I really cant speak highly enough about this place.Edit:I want to add that we got our new couch and ottoman today and the delivery drivers i had were the absolute BEST. We had a great conversation and they set up everything and were just honestly the biggest guys.
Well its ashame they just put furniture in house they dont set it up,They should they dont no iff person purchasing furniture its a senior citizen,like it happen with my mother. And also they charge $120.00 delivery charge..wow,wow,wow...to new castle..

My roommate and I were very pleased and satisfied with this location. All the staff were very polite and kind to us. The manage, Anthony, was really amazing and made sure we were informed and taken care of every step of the way. I highly recommend this location if anyone is looking for inexpensive furniture and a friendly, well- organized and hard working staff. Not to mention, they have an abundance of different styles of furniture for very affordable prices. I had great experiences in the past, but last Thursday the GM Anthony was VERY nasty to me & my fiance. I paid for a loveseat & they said it would be in on that Wednesday & the would hold it up to 10 days. I asked what time did the store close they said 7:30. I called on Thursday & spoke with a nice friendly lady & she said I had to be there no later than 6:45 & to call when I was close. I was 5 mins away at 6:30 & Anthony said I could get the couch because they stop pick ups at 6:30. Im telling him thats not what I was told, he didnt care. We still went to the store anyway because I rented a truck & I live in PA. You would think he would have some type of empathy, but he didnt. One of the workers said they he would even help & Anthony told him no! After going back & forth he wound up giving it to us, but instead of helping his employee he smokes a cigarette & watched!! This man says hes the GM of the store. I cant take anything from the store, but if you run in to Anthony go the other way.

On May 1,, 2021 I went to pick up my sectional from Urban furniture Ryan was my sales person who was nothing but respectful and kind since my first time in the store in March 29.2021. I rented a U-Haul truck and paid 2 gentlemen to assist.We received the 3 boxes and drove back to Pennsylvanians the gentlemen began to unload the boxes and bring them into my home at which time I noticed that one of the pieces was the wrong color. Ughhh I immediately called the store and spoke to Ryan who informed his supervisor ANTHONY....I was instructed to take photos of what I had received and email it. I was furious it was almost time for me to return the uhaul and I only paid for 50 miles. I needed a resolution and the manger ANTHONY HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE NO COMPASSION AT ALL FOR THE MISTAKE THAT WAS MADE. I had to come up with all the solutions to correct this problem. He kept going back and forth with me instead of apologizing and making it right I couldn’t believe my earsAs Anthony could only tell me that I would have to wait until next week if I wanted the company to deliver the correct piece. Waiting was unacceptable. Anthony informed me that I would have to go to the warehouse to exchange the furniture I drive back to Delaware adding more miles onto the uhaul. So taking this extra trip back to the furniture store costed me over $100 more for the uhaul I sure hope urban furniture compensates me as I was told by Anthony that they would. The one star is for Ryan because he was very helpful and pleasant. Zero for the Anthony as he needs some training on customer service ASAP. All and all I do like my sectional but I will never deal with anything again.

Over 4 weeks now since I was told my order will be in between 4 to 6 weeks. I spoke with a representative yesterday and was told again that my order will be in around November or December. Can you imagine that! After Ive completed my payment am yet to receive a positive response. They say, they dont have control over the supplier seriously!! Why did you give a timeline in the first place. Still waiting!!
Ordered a bedroom set with no issues about a year ago. And I just ordered a sofa that I am still waiting for. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

After 9 months my sofa and love seat started to fall apart. Springs were falling out. The cushions went flat.The foam was just falling apart. The wood is now not covered and is not cushioned. Material at the seams was falling apart. The recliners mechanism broke.I purchased the insurance they offered. Big joke. A one star rating is to good for my experience that i have encountered.

Treated like i wasnt appreciated as a customer by the manager. I recommend that you go to another furniture store. Everything in the store is 4 months out. They wont tell you until youre in the store. The black young lady that waited on me was just a wonderful person. As I suggested to her to find another place of employment.
I had the absolute best experience with this company from both stores!! It started with me placing an order for the completely wrong bunk beds and once I called and spoke with Tiffany she helped fix my order right up and saved me money! The most awesome customer service. Then, upon delivery, which was so punctual I wasn’t even properly prepared, I couldn’t have had a better experience. My 2 delivery drivers waited patiently as I prepared the areas for the new bunk beds. They assembled them for me and moved them all over the place for me, as I am pregnant and could not do it myself. They were ever so patient with me and ensured I was totally satisfied with the placement of my new bunk beds for my children. They provided the best customer service even though I took up a ton of their time. Overall, it was absolutely the best experience with a furniture store I have ever experienced and I will definitely be returning for my furniture needs and recommending this company to everyone I know!!!!!

I’m all for reviews so I hope this helps for anyone looking to purchase furniture at this place! This store had a big selection however, when we were ready to process our order my husband and I was bounce from one person to another and another. I’m all for teamwork! But I’m not for being rush into signing paperwork so they can make a sale. The last representative was very helpful but when we were signing our paperwork he told us to sign off for not wanting the warranty. Never were we giving the option for a warranty. We told him we were not signing the paperwork because we wanted the warranty added! We were advised that when we came back to pick up our product we can add the warranty with no issue. A few days later our product was ready for pick up. My husband went to pick up the uhaul, and went to pick up our product. As my husband was on his way. I was at work calling The store wanting to speak with the last representative we were working with. Was told he was busy and I can leave a message. Haven’t heard back so i called again. Left another message. And again. Was told the representative was working on it. (So I thought) my husband came home and told that he had to pay an extra $200.00 for the warranty rather than that being place on our lease agreement! BUT WAIT THERE MORE! So it’s Friday late evening and the store was closed. I called Monday morning and ask to speak with a manager. Filled him in on the situation and basically he told me there isn’t much that can be done. ( in my head i said REALLY?? That’s how you run a business? ) i was then told if he can call me back because He was working with a customer and now the customer is staring at him and he wanted to look into this further.. Wait what?!! I’ve never heard back from this “manager”...

This store provides horrible customer service and hires workers that are not thorough. If you are purchasing from this store, please ensure that you guarantee all your paperwork is correct, because if something goes wrong the manager of the store will not assist you and will not take responsibility for his employees. I have shopped at this store twice. The first time was ok. The second time was a disaster for both my friend and I who ordered together and both did not receive what we thought we ordered 12 weeks later. They have horrible customer service and do not care to do anything to fix it and if you ask to speak to corporate, there exact words are We are not a corporate store. Which makes sense why customer service means nothing to them. So I suggest shopping at the many other outlet stores that value customer service and diligence.

First time & last time ordering from them. Sales reps are terrible & have a nasty attitude. They are not welcoming & comes off as doing shady business. Trust the bad reviews over the good ones. Save your money & go to another furniture store.

Staff were amazing! They weren’t pushy and very knowledgeable. I had a ton of questions and they answered ALL. I had to change my delivery the day of & they worked with me to reschedule. When they delivered it, we realized we never purchased the high rise frame (luckily the store was close). We were able get one directly from the warehouse in bear! They all saved me.
Lakesha went above and beyond to help me find the furniture I was looking for ( hope I spelled her name right) even tho the color red I wanted wasnt what they had she still tried her hardest to get me something close to it. She invited me to come to the store to look around and Im so glad I did because I ended up getting something completely different.. Have only had the couch maybe a month and the leather is already tearing. Also the back support for the middle sitting area of the couch was broken before we even sat on it for the first time so we cant even sit on the middle of the couch. The delivery driver hit a parked car and never contacted the owner of the car. Will not be buying from this store again.UPDATE: DO NOT BUY ANYTHING HERE. WARNING. Havent had our couch a full year yet and all the recliners of the couch and love seat are falling apart. The leather all over the couch is tearing and falling apart like its been owned for many years. We called about the issues and emailed video evidence of the issues and we have gotten no call backs or returned emails. We have not received the initial discount we were supposed to receive when we bough the couch even after asking for it a 2nd time in person at the store and was told we would receive and we still havent. Spent $1,000+ on this couch and love seat and its already to the point of being almost completely unusable after less than 1 year. This was my FIRST time buying furniture at an actual furniture store and it has got to be the worst purchase experience Ive ever had buying anything. Ive never been treated so poorly and robbed so blatantly.
Today 11/13/2020 I had a bad experience with one of the sales reps and his manager. The sales rep hung up on me!!! Now let me break it down. I purchased a living room set; the nail posts on my couch is not lined up correctly. (NOTE: no damage or missing parts as I explained). They told me that after seven days there is nothing they (UFO of NCC) could do. I then called the manufacturer and they informed me UFO of NCC should work with their sales rep by coordinating me getting a new couch. I called UFO of NCC explaining to them what the manufacturer stated and that is when the ignorant man who sold me the furniture hung up on me. I then called the manufacturer and at this point they are handling this issue. I may not be able to make or break UFO of NCC establishment, but I will be one less person they will have as a customer and I hope others take heave to the horrible customer service I received after UFO of NCC got my money!!!! BEWARE!!! I do not think they deserve one star!!!!

Great selections yes...getting it is the problem. Ordered July 20 was told 4 to 6 wks. Kept calling to ck the status of it and was given so many different approximate times of its arrival and it never came. Im a pretty patient person but this whole thing got out of hand. I put money down & was financing the rest. The finance company took out payment knowing I hadnt received my furniture. Money did get returned to my account. I understand Covid had interfered with a lot of shipments but now they are telling me nxt month. So today I went in requested my money back, in which I gave cash but I have to wait 7 to 10 days for a check. I was never given an apology today just a have a nice evening. I do have to give props to the only worker who really seemed sincere in her apology with the delays. Sorry dont remember her name. She always held a fan. Im greatly disappointed that I didnt get my furniture and on the service I received.

I originally ordered my bedroom set at the Urban Furniture Outlet in New Castle. The service that I received while choosing my bedroom set was phenomenal, the assistant manager Ashley was the best. However, I ordered the set on 9/20/19, it was delivered and set up on 11/2/19. During the set up, the delivery guy discovered that there was an important piece missing to my platform bed. And because that piece was missing, I AM NOT able to sleep in my bed. The set up crew also decided that it would be nice to put together some of the furniture pieces in my driveway, instead of using a spare room in the house, which was offered to them. Which explains why my headboard, and night stand are scratched up. So here we are on 11/16/19, and I still am not able to sleep in my bed. I am beyond frustrated at this point. All I want is a direct answer, as to when this missing piece will be delivered, or give me my money back! I will never deal with urban furniture again!
I really like this store. The furniture is of good quality. You can tell this company cares about its customers. I always appreciate good customers service. The staff was very friendly as well. Ashley and Tony were very kind and helped me make a good decision. This is definitely a business I will return too!
I have been buying furniture for YESRS at this place. I recently bought a couch they were supposed to deliver it to my house, which they didn’t do because they didn’t even try taking it inside & they stole my money. Don’t recommend!!!

I cant say enough things about this place. The employees were above and beyond friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the showrooms were huge with many options. The prices are unbeatable and this is where you should buy your furniture.
Don’t let the prices fool you - STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS.I bought most of my living room furniture from this store - couch and dining room set.First, I had issues with the couches. They were delivered without the legs and the journey to getting this issue resolved entailed getting on multiple calls with the associates and being bounced from one manager to the next. I was then asked to drive all the way to New Castle, DE from Philly to pick up the missing pieces at my expense because they don’t deliver outside a certain radius. I thought this was an interesting resolution because I was going to pay for something that wasn’t my fault. When I threatened to return the full set and get reimbursed that’s when the manager I spoke with at that time suggested to overnight these pieces at the merchant’s expense and sure enough I received them the next day. I understand that mistakes happen but I don’t think the customer has to pay for a merchant’s mistake let alone threaten you to return a product for you to do the right thing.The more recent issue was with the dining chairs. When I picked up the dining room set the store only had 4 chairs available and had to order the other 2 chairs at a later date. When the chairs where available I made the trip to the location in New Castle to pick up the chairs. I didn’t open the packaged chairs for 7 weeks because I was in the process of moving. I didn’t to assemble something that I was going to disassemble and assemble when moving. Upon settling into the new place, I opened the boxed chairs to the surprise of a small tear on one of the chairs. Unfortunately, because “I didn’t read the 7 day store policy” to report any issues. According to the manager I’m basically stuck with yet again an issue probably caused from the factory and this time I’m screwed because I chose to open the box 7 weeks after pickup. We were now being referred to someone who can fix the chair as yet another resolution that’s meant to protect the merchant. A futile call with the general manager led me to post this review and just tell other unsuspecting customers to watch out.I must admit everything else seems great when they are smiling at you and swiping your card but if you run into issues just brace yourself for the worst customer service journey of your life. Swipe your card at your own risk.

I went In there looking for a bedset . The mattress I wanted The guy said he didn’t have. He kept trying to talk me into a pricey mattress because of some issues I have While laying down . I did not want that mattress . So every other mattress I decided No he said the said thing “ we don’t have that one in stock “ . You can’t go with a cheap mattress they get ruined quicker . These mattresses were $300, how were they cheap ? Well compare to the one we wanted me to buy which was like 400 something . So finally he gets me a mattress, I thought I’ll like it but i can’t not sleep on it with out getting pain the moment I lay On it . The guys name is Alfred . Also I had A issue with them delivering once I decided to just get a refund the manager magically found a delivery time that worked for me.
Ordered furniture early on a Monday. Salesperson new and unfortunately male helping him was more interested in making his own sale then helping him maneuver the system. Another female salesperson was finally nice enough to help him. Later just before closing, seven hours later, I receive a call stating they could not deliver on Friday as I was told earlier after I had made plans for someone to be home. This process was just a mess. I had some years earlier got furniture and the process was great, not anymore.
The employees were very helpful and patient with me. Ill definitely go back and buy more furniture and more. Thanks for all your help and patience. 🙂🙂🙂

I always shop at urban with my daughter never for myself so I stopped in I was greeted at the door by my very helpful salesperson T he explained to me that they have new pieces in and that he could show me around . Any question I asked he was there to answer. Wasnt pushy at all made me feel as if I was family . Once we got the register him and his fellow co workers laughed and made me not even wanna leave we was having a good time!! My experience was WONDERFUL!! Not only did I have to get financing for the couches I wanted but the associate helped me every step and set me up with a great deal. She even helped me load it in my vehicle and gave me great advice to an easy set up. The prices and service was fantastic they will see me again!
I love this store. When I tell you this was an easy process! I applied online got approved for the no credit check.. when I went into the store I had the option to make the amount higher if I wanted to. The lady that helped me was Great! The day I moved into my apartment, I had my new furniture delivered that same day... And yes they was on time and they put everything together for me.. I had a bad experience with Bobs discount... They called me two times telling me I have to make a payment when my payment was not even due yet.. they delivered the wrong living room set SMH it just been a mess dealing with that company... Everybody go here!!! They have great deals and they are not pushy sales people at all...
Won’t buy from here ever again! I furnished my whole house here not even two years ago and spent nearly 4000 and the first night my platform frame broke after i paid for delivery and set up and at My expense i had to rent a uhaul to bring it back and replace the piece that broke!! As time went in my dining room chairs started tearing because the material is cheap and we don’t even sit in the dining room and the reclining sofa we purchased leans in which i discovered is like cardboard material inside. This place is a complete rip off and i would never recommend anyone.
I have bought furniture from this outlet before and was pleased so I came back. I purchased a queen size box spring. When trying to get the piece of furniture into my bedroom it was a really tight fit I had to remove all the plastic that was on the spring. unfortunately it still did not fit. I called furniture urban to see if there was anything they could do they were no help and even let me know I could not return it or exchange it. I am now out of 100 dollars. I would have even accepted store credit. I wish the employees would have went a little further in helping a loyal customer. I was very disappointed and will not be giving my business to urban furniture anymore.

If I could rate less stars, I sure would. I shopped here about three years ago and furnished my whole house with them. It was such a wonderful experience, I came back. This time I was beyond disappointed. The customer service here is HORRIBLE now. I walked around for about half an hour & not one person offered assistance. I should have knew I wouldnt receive any help once I walked through the door and NEVER received a greeting. This was such a disappointment being as though they had a living room set I fell in love with online and fell in love even more when I seen it in person. But I took my business elsewhere. Cohens to be exact and I purchased the same living room set with above and beyond customer service as well as $200 cheaper. Thanks anyway urban furniture, sorry to say but I wont be back.

I walked in and wasnt greeted, so I walked off to browse couches. One girl was standing around playing with her cellphone, looked at me, and then looked back on her phone. Eventually, an older man asked me if I needed help and to holler at him if I needed anything. He checked in with me twice or so and gave me his name, so kudos to him. Wouldve given this play a 1 star if he didnt.For the prices found here, I found that the furniture were subpar. Some couches had incredibly hard surfaces where fabric covered and you wouldve thought it shouldve been cushioned. Some of the fabrics felt incredibly flimsy. Dupont Highway is a long stretch with quite a bit of competition. I will say that they had at least one or two unique sectionals that I did not find at other stores, so hey if you are looking for a specific style (or dont know what you want), I still recommend you pop in to take a look.
We really like the selection of furniture this place had but the customer service is absolutely terrible! I ordered my couch over 6 weeks ago and was told it would come in mid-May. It is now end of May and they are hoping to have it in by the end of the week. We never heard from them, so we decided to call and check the status. The timeline keeps getting pushed back and when you try to talk to someone about it they just try to get off the phone with you, rather than help you. They gave no reason as to why there is such a delay and I have no idea when my furniture will actually come in. I do not recommend this place.
I wouldnt even give them one star. They still managed to sell me the wrong mattress after providing a item number, picture and a damn price. I even told the guy at the loading dock it was incorrect, he assured me that it was. If they would pick up this slab of whatever, they wanna charge me a delivery fee and I have to pay the difference of the mattress that I wanted. NOT!!! Called the store and was talking to T. Gave me great information so I decided to go in. I was first approached and greeted by Tasha. After a few min I was again approached by Jim who answered all of my questions. Didnt purchase yet because my new house isnt ready but I will be sure to give all my business to them. Great friendliness and knowledge.
I thought it was great until my delivery and things were missing. When reported to the store I got the run around. Finally got some items a couple weeks later and then last items almost 2 months after. Acima is no help either. Reporting the late items and was told I wouldn’t receive help bc I went through the store for missing items instead of contacting Acima. So my 90 day count started when I didn’t even have all merch. Call acima and they wouldn’t connect to manager. Horrible customer service. The store itself not bad but Acima in the mix is horrible.
Anyway they can rip you they will, any extra fees or charges they can get away with better believe they will try to hit you with it. As for delivery I think I paid a total of 2 different fees, 40-50 to have it delivered. Then on top of that another 70-90 to have it delivered a certain time. Whether your working or not, they do not care your situation nor will they try to help you get your furniture at a time that will help your schedule. They call and u get two hours, or your out almost another hundred bucks. Will never shop here again.
I had furniture delivered on Friday which required additional setup electronically, called the store, eventually spoke with a manager, he sent someone out from the store to hook up the necessary wires for my furniture. Thanks Urban Furniture for the fast response to my issue. Furniture looks great and I would recommend the store to others. Also, thanks to Candice for being so patient with me as I was trying to decide what type of furniture I wanted.

If I could give no stars I would. The salesman does not use the their training correctly. Requested a king size bedroom set, come to find out the sales person put in for a queen size. Me and my husband had to rent a uhaual truck because urban charges 70$ just to drop items off after spending over 1000$. And on top of that they only assemble your furniture for extra money. After half way Putting the bed together we noticed it looked rather small. We had to go back and forth with management just to exchange something that their sales man made a mistake on. We even request for them to view their surveillance. Unsatisfied and money wasted.
It was wonderful nice selections but at the same time some of the selections that were advertise online was not available at the store... But the employees were very friendly and helpful.
Paid almost 900.00 for my sons bed. Its never been right. Very poor quality, supposed to be solid wood only had the bed for less than 3 years the whole front cracked. Past the point of fixing it. Call the store they cant find ANY RECORD of my purchase. No name, address, phone number nothing, so cant even look up my purchase. Then tried to get me to come buy another bed (better quality they said)!! Wow who would want to buy anything from these ppl again. NOT ME.... they sell junk!!!!!
Bought a 700 dollar couch, springs popped and seams frayed within 1 months, an associate came to fix it, and then several months later the problem surfaced and got worse with springs re popping and seams being frayed once again even after a stitch.Urban furniture has decided to do nothing to compensate or work with me for these losses. The warranty is up, however damage was done during the warranty they fixed it and the damaged resurfaced. Which means they did not actually fix the initial problem or it would not have arose again.I will not be doing business with them again. They are poor customer service. I would have been a loyal customer but after this there is no way.
I love this place. We bought furniture from here just a week ago and love the new bed. This is a must go to place for anyone looking for good furniture at a good price.

We bought a bed from Urban Furniture because the price was reasonable and because it was In Stock and timing was critical for us. When we unpackaged the pieces at home to assemble, we found that the headboard was damaged. When we called the store to see about getting a replacement we were assured the piece would be ordered and that it should arrive within a week. After hearing nothing from the company we called back to find out it hadnt been ordered, that we needed to supply a picture of the damage before it could be replaced. We did. Long story short, 4 weeks later we still do not have a replacement. Calls are NEVER returned as promised. When we requested today that they cancel our replacement order and give us a discount on the one we have since it is damaged (they can not give us a definite time for when our replacement will arrive), we were told that since the headboard was usable, that they couldnt understand the problem. We thought our offer was reasonable and best for both parties, but we are again waiting to hear back from them to see if they can give us a percentage off. The customer service has been HORRIBLE!

I Spent The Last 6 Months Making Payments On A Furniture Set From The Store, Once The Payments Were Done They Informed Me I’d Have To Wait 2-4 Weeks For The Parts To Be Shipped In, After Waiting A Little Over Two Weeks I Get A Call From One Of The Past Associates, She Let Me Know That Although She No Longer Worked At The Store She Wanted To inform Me That The Set That I Had Been Paying On Was No Longer Being Made And I’d Have To Choose Between Other Options, No Offer For A Refund. They Gave Me One Choice For Another Bedset And Let Me Choose Between Two Different Colors. This Was Extremely Unprofessional, I Talked To Multiple Associates Over The Past Six Months And Even More Toward The Final Payments and No One Informed Me That This Item Was No Longer Made. Not To Mention I Waited Two Weeks To Get Another Bedset That Was Already In Store. The Worst Part About This Is The Fact That Not Even One Of The Current Sales Associates That I Had Spoken To Over The Time Had Called Me, A Past Associate Who Was Moved To A Different Store Was Kind Enough To Call Me And Help Me Out. They Wasted My Time And Now I Have A Bed Set That I Didn’t Specifically Want, This Was A Real Disappointment. They Offered No Compensation For The Inconvenience, If I Could Rate Less Stars I Would.
