Food lion was great I have party this weekend and needed some stuff!! Staff was nice and bagged the groceries... I needed help to find something and they helped me!! I would definitely come back!!

I love this store, its always clean and well stocked, but I tell you the number one thing that causes me to drive their direction over others, when I completely have forgotten about the plastic bag laws guidelines and changes, only remembering I need to go to the food store and only after I have a cart full of food do I remember my bags are in the house or another vehicle.. food lion puts my stuff in paper bags not asking me how many bags Id like to purchase after ringing up 200 dollars in groceries.. its the little things that keep customers coming back !

This is the second Food Lion that Ive visited while here in Delaware. It is clean and bright with friendly cashiers and stock employees. Their prices are a bit high and their is no guarantee that you will find what you need or are looking for. These stores are comparable to Safeways in Arizona.

I dont frequent this store often but after todays experience that will change. The staff was friendly and helpful. The store is clean and well stocked, no sticker shock due to store coupons. I was satisfied with my purchases.

Stopped by on a whim since I needed an ingredient that I couldnt find at a normal grocery store. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice this store is. So clean, well organized, and stocked to the gills with amazing products.

Always have a good experience here. The store always looks pretty clean and organized. Staff are pleasant and they quickly fix any issues with pricing.

I usually never have a problem but yesterday I called ahead to see if they had the Core ph water in stock because I’m 9 months pregnant and have a hard time getting around on top of trying not to go out too much so I won’t have a greater chance to be exposed to covid. I spoke to customer service and explained this and I was told they had it in stock. When I got there they did not have it in stock. Needless to say customer service is terrible for not even checking. I went to Shop Rite and found this water well stocked.

This is a nice store, especially after they remodeled, the whole place looks incredible and modern. Very convenient and great prices. Very friendly staff and they are well stocked. They have a fantastic deli, as well as bakery. Though they may not have as much floor space as other chains, they have everything you could need. The only bad thing, more annoying than anything, they need more cashiers. Never seems to be enough. Im not removing a star for that because its not a major thing. Great store and great people.

The one in Wilmington is better, fruits and veggies werent fresh at all. I was very disappointed.

The store was pretty well stocked, except for the ice cream, the flavor I wanted was not available in ANY brand. The store was clean and well lit. The cashier who rang me up was very helpful and personable.

While the prices can be a bit higher than some other local stores, the experience and food options is hard to beat. Im always on the lookout for something new there that I know I wont find at my home grocery store. Rarely super busy and very friendly staff.

This particular store just remodeled... Unfortunately the produce section is virtually non existent, stock is quite often low with bare shelves... Fortunately there is a Shop Rite not far, so thats my now go to store, especially for produce... Its a shame really as this store is so close....

To be honest, Food Lion is not the store I usually visit for groceries. I come here only when there is a really special deal.My impressions of the store:- Aisles are broad and easy to negotiate. However, I was there when the store wasnt crowded. Is it ever crowded?- The organization isnt what Im used to. In particular, breakfast items were in three different parts of the store.- Like any other supermarket, there are some inexpensive items and some expensive items. If I didnt have coupons, Id look for store brands and bulk items, if any.One problem I wish this supermarket chain would work on is the load-to-card coupons. These are coupons on their website that you click on to add to your MVP card. The issue is when you get to the store, there arent any store circulars, signs or shelf tags to tell you which are the load-to-card coupon items. If you didnt bring a printout of the coupons you added to your MVP card, you may have a hard time identifying those specific items.

Love this store! For the longest time it was New Castles best kept secret. This store is smaller than most in this area however, it has everything one may need. If you are the indecisive sort, this is the store for you. There isnt 18 brands of one item and thats half the battle for me. Always clean, staff always nice. I keep waiting for that to change since the other majors has closed. It hasnt yet. The bagging has slowed down. Yes bagging! One of the many wonderful surprises I found when I first came. The produce manager really knows his stuff always putting oit what is in season, fresh and delicious. So take the time and pay them a visit its definitely a refreshing stop if nothing else.

I watched the lady in the deli department scratch her head with her gloves on and continued to touch peoples lunch meat. I asked her to change her gloves and why, and she started to mumble under her breath. I went and told management. I go back in today ( 2 weeks later) and go to the deli. She’s on the opposite side of the counter talking to customer, then hugs customer with gloves on. She goes back around and asked what I would like. I ask for my ham and she grabbed it with the same gloves she just hugged this lady with, I watched her cut my lunch meat and cheese and I left it at the counter. Obviously management doesn’t care and neither does she . Just nasty

Great service and decent selection. They dont have as many items as say an Acme does but they make up for that with excellent customer service. If theres an item you want that they dont have the manager will order it and have it the next time you come. Example. I sometimes have a craving for cheese whiz. (In the can) But only get the cheddar bacon flavor. They didnt have it but the manager ordered it and a few days latter when I came back it was in and cheaper then any where else!!!

Love this store! Its always clean and you can always find what you are looking for. Some things are alittle pricey, but cleanliness speaks volumes to me!! 💕 I choose Food Lion any day!! 👍

Im originally from Sharon Hill. Ive never heard of or been to a Food Lion until I came to New Castle, Delaware. I just love this store. The meats are always fresh. The store is always clean. They have good prices on everything. I also like that theres always a big selection that other stores dont have. Im closer to Shoprite but Id drive the extra miles just to go to Food Lion. I give Food Lion 5 stars*****

I Like that it is clean. It has less option than some groceries but it has enough to get what I need. The meat prices are usually better than other stores. The cashiers are somewhat lacking, I felt somewhat awry when the clerk pick up my zucchini and called over to the co-worker, Hey! What its under?

The produce section was terrible. There were no limes, bottom of the barrel cilantro, and most of the very few garlic cloves were dried out. We asked a pleasant young man if there were any more in the back. He came out a minute or so later with a produce rep who said, maybe hed get more tomorrow. I would have given one or two stars except for the pleasantness and professionalism of the young man and the cashier who rang up our non-perishable purchases.

Every one is very friendly an the prices are really good compared to the other grocery in new castle. One cashier even has stuffed animals at her register for my daughter and other little ones to play with while we were checking out.

Usually a bad experience at this store!! Too many times I go in there and theyre always out of produce and meats. I usually go early in morning, someone is always there with all the meats torn out, nothing to pick from. Same as the produce. Its ridiculous!!! Thats why I call it The Ghetto Lion!!!!
