Not very good service picking up beer. Nobody came to check out for 20 minutes

Good selection, although they did NOT have the one item I was looking for! LOL! Relatively clean store. Employees mostly look disgruntled though, and unhappy. Had a Citizens Bank inside but the stupid branch does NOT have a teller, so some services are very limited!

Giant eagle has some new eggs from the happy egg company and they are really good. The yolks Are very rich in flavor you can tell by the color theyre not like other yolks that when you cook them they cake up.

Giant Eagle became a totalitarian voice in extreme mandating of masks throughout the manufactured health crisis of 2020-2021. During that time they bullied, humiliated, and even pressed legal action against helpless patrons who were unable, for various reasons, to fully participate in Giant Eagles mask mandate. At this location a Vietnam veteran, who was purchasing food for other veterans at the local American Legion, was denied service because he was unable to cover both his mouth and nose with a mask. When he explained that he had severe lung damage preventing him from blocking his airways, the clerk and manager refused to listen to him and told him to leave. For years the local American Legion purchased thousands of dollars in food and catering every year from this location, however they have discontinued their support of this store in the wake of this abuse. Pennsylvanias health orders specifically allowed for those with medical disabilities to be exempted from the mask mandates, but Giant Eagle chose to alienate their patrons and communities by determining themselves to be superior to the state the CDC, and the W.H.O. and imposing a mandate for mandates sake.

It was very clean, had a good selection of everything and staff was helpful.

Ordered chicken and a cake for a graduation party. It was done on time and very good tasting.

Except the bakery heavy set lady didnt make me feel welcome I ask her about a cake she pull the cake from the case with a attitude like im stopping her from working like im not suppose to be there

I love all of the Giant Eagle grocery stores. They have a great selection and have a lot of foods that you cant get other places, such as various ethnic foods, and the quality is great. However, the downside is that they are definitely the most expensive large grocery store in the area. They do have nice sales at times, but you almost always have to have a Giant Eagle Advantage card to get the sale price. They are free to get and you can earn points for perks, but if you dont have one, you cant get the sale price and that is unfortunate. The Advantage card is stupid, in my opinion, but the everyday high prices are what keep me from giving 5 stars.

They have three people standing behind a service counter with no one there at the counter . Heres a thought help the people who are standing there in line to check out. Additionally, supervisors watch while people stand on line forever.I will say the store managers hustle and try to help you but not low level supervisors.I would be willing to pay an extra dollar for someone to check me out.I already pay more to shop here because I like the merchandise. Another peeve I have is the circular spinning carousel which makes it impossible to keep your groceries separated the way you want them.

Even though some products were spread out. That is to say: b o g o offered were sold out, same products although the non bogo items were in the. Bogo slots could be embarrassing for the customer if they dont read carefully.

They dont take very good care of their employees, that is why I quit after 5 years.The union is a joke, the hours are not enough to live on but then if you try to subsidize your income by picking up a second job they say youre Moonlighting and that since Giant Eagle is not your primary place of employment then you dont get your benefits (which is the only real incentive to work there)If you somehow stick it out long enough to get into a management position or even if youre a meat cutter, they can swap you around from store to store with no warning and they can send you anywhere within an hour drive of your home. So you go to work at your store one day and that night they can tell you youll be working at another store 50 minutes away starting tomorrow.Also they are constantly cutting hours which is a detriment to the employees and the customers. The employees that are there are spread too thin and stressed out and the customers have a hard time finding someone to help them or they have long wait times at the Deli, Bakery, or Checkout.

Ive had to wait more than a day to write my review due to being so upset with my experience there yesterday. Having moved to the area almost 3 years ago, Ive made this store my go-to for groceries. The produce is always nice, and although they are a pricier store, I believe in supporting our local businesses over the big box stores. I spend roughly $200-$400 per month at this store, but will now never return.I shopped for over an hour yesterday and had an overflowing cart. I have a condition that can strike at anytime, and although I had to use the restroom and was not feeling well because of it, my family needed groceeies; so I powered through. The store was very busy, the lines long, and I removed my mask for some air. I was already feeling lightheaded because of my attack. While waiting in line, a female worker began yelling at me to put on a mask. She was practically screaming while approaching me and was literally 6 from my face demanding I put a mask on. I told her I already had covid and am no longer contagious...I was not going to tell her my episode of my condition, because she was so loud, everyone was staring at the scene; and frankly it was none of her business. She then screamed that it didnt matter and asked if someone in the lobby didnt already tell me that. She was still, literally, 6 from my face. Pretty hypocritical she didnt stand 6 feet from me to scream at me, dont you think?. Her screaming was making me more nauseous, so I looked forward, got out my mask and put it on. I said nothing more. I left some air for my nose, and so she then screamed to cover my nose! I did as told, looking at my cart thinking I should just leave, but I knew I wouldnt be able to physically handle another shopping trip. The majority of other shoppers did not have their noses covered. She then left, but seconds later sent one of her male lackeys over to make sure I was still wearing my mask. The woman checking out in front of me was horrified by the her behavior and told me to go ahead and start loading my groceries on the belt behind hers. I told the cashier that I would never be back, that no one should ever be treated so disrespectful, but she did nothing but kept her eyes down. I had uncovered my nose by that point. When I paying for my groceries, the cashier yelled over to that same woman that it was time for her break. The woman came over to take her spot, and she and the cashier whispered and laughed. It was a disgusting display of bullying and immaturity.I dont know who this employee was, but assume she was some type of assistant manager. She was in her 60s with long, purple hair, and as I said was very loud. If these are the kinds of employees this store hires, retains and gives positions of control, the store will eventually lose customers. I know theyve lost this one!

At enteance to the store the lady in front of me couldnt wear a face covering due to medical reasons and the employee denied her entrance stating everyone had to wear a mask. Meanwhile the employee was half wiping cart handles which was pointless and the people I saw with masks were barely wearing them. I overheard she could call the store to have someone shop for her which I was curious as it is required that an essential business like grocery stores to provide an alternate means of supplying customers food and essential items. She claimed she had tried that and waited for a long time for service in the heat. She was older so I suspect doing online shopping wasnt really an option. The lady was not irrational nor being difficult at all.I turned around, walked right back out, and decided to not to shop at this store given the hypocrisy of denying service to customers who cant wear a mask and not implementing hygienic practices themselves. The state has required masks for several months, and this store was not enforcing this until the state made them mandatory in public this week....which really is no different than what was required earlier. Now all of a sudden an essential store is making it more difficult for customers. The majority of masks I saw on people were not protective enough to be sparing customers from any germs. Makes me wonder if they actually require their employees to dispose of their daily masks they wear......So just for the fact of customer treatment and their cleanliness hypocrisy, I will no longer be dropping my usual $350 purchase at this store.

Likely I had a faceshield since Im not able to wear a face mask because of medical conditions or they would have refused to let me in the store regardless of what Pennsylvania rules are regarding masks. I understand they are trying to keep everyone safe, but they also need to understand some people cant wear mask because its hard for them to breathe without them let alone with one on. Do they want people dropping over from inadequate oxygen? We need food items from the grocery store just as much as those who can wear a face mask without any difficulty.

I love the new perks at Giant Eagle. I use to get my gas other places also but since Giant Eagle is now giving perks for buying gas also and not just for buying groceries it is now where I mainly deal. Their food in some areas are a bit pricey, but the meats are very good pieces of meat and not to bad with the five for Nineteen dollars, so Giant Eagle you get five stars all the way around.

Good name brand and giant eagle products, just make sure you shop with your giant eagle advantage card with weekly ads merchandise. Plus use new paper coupon. You can save money if you shop wisely... Like there meat department. There noted for very fresh meat and also has a bunch shop. Not that prepackaged stuff like most competitors sales... just watch the weekly sales ads...

Always very helpful. They now have someone in a red giant eagle t-shirt running around the registers directing people and helping them so if the only thing open is an Express and you have more than they will screw you over there to get things moving much.

The Giant Eagle on the Wilmington Road is much nicer than this one, but they both make great birthday cakes! Prices are a little high and they dont offer curbside pickup at either store so will stay with Walmart until they do. Just love that feature!

Again Giant Eagle seems to be the only place for specialty items there a little bit more expensive than say Walmart or Save-A-Lot but then they have more and the quality is really good

Going into the store to get corn on the cob on sale 10/ $2.00 and being in hurry to get home I picked up corn already skinned that was right with corn in husk !! It didnt say only corn on the cob on sale was the one in husks!! I think it should be posted !! Its not till u get to long check out line and find out!! Its ridiculous

With the covict 19 virus going on theyre doing an excellent job on sanitizing everything I was in the freezer area getting something out and by the time I turned around there was a young lady wiping the handle off with sanitizer giant eagle does a good job of sanitizing everything

Was looking for something fresh and sugar free from bakery. Clerk advised they dont make there. Its all shipped in and in the bakery area but its all frozen.

Not a good experience. You cant use self checkout unless you have an advantage card. You have to wait in line. Wont be going there very often.

GE typically carries everything you need, with some major clauses. Many times they have pushed brands off of their shelves in favor of their own market district brand. This change has not always been for the better.As most folks are, if bottom dollar is a concern then GE is not likely to be a fan favorite. The area has other lesser cost and just as nice options for grocery shopping.The one area I will say has been second to none, at least in my opinion, is the butcher. They are friendly, helpful and I have always purchased quality meats here.

Ever wonder why one single bagel 129$ costs the same as a loaf of bread? E-advantage card deal of the week started strong, now its same as any other. Overall, a great selection of items here.

Nice grocery store kind of the highest prices but their 2 for the price of one sales are the best especially for meat save alot on large family sized meat. I bought a bag of potatoes they have lil soft spots got to take back. The other day got bag of apples they would not cook down. I took them back shes like no returns heres your money.

Store seems disorganized. Self checkout an absolute nightmare. It felt like when it first came out, I needed the cashier every 2 minutes who was too busy talking. I use self checkout DAILY, but if I had to shop here again, I would not use self checkout unless I had 1 or 2 items and not produce.

Clean, nice layout. Like any other giant eagle. However, when busy, checkout lines are absolutely ridiculous. Multiple closed registers with lines from the registers that are open extending into aisles. Absolute chaos.

Not like other locations. This location seems to think they are an upscale grocery store when in fact they are just a fancy looking hole in the wall. They are over charging for items other locations are charging for less. An example is the fried chicken, all other giant eagle locations that I have been to charge $0.99 for a single chicken thigh, this location charges by the pound, and it is more than double the pound price that most places would charge for prepared food, even costs more than a Chinese buffet charges for to go plates. This store wanted to charge me almost $20 for 4 chicken thighs and 2 legs. I will not be back to this location. Stop trying to rip customers off by charging prices this high. Unless you feed the chickens good pellets, its not worth it. Also, please reduce the amount of salt that you use in the prepared food.

One of my favorite places for groceries and beer. Self checkout is great cause most older people avoid it, so if you have a few items, its in and out. Great beer selection, too.The first isle of checkout (express lane) always smells like fish. Anyone else notice that? Smells horrible. Why? Theres no fish there. Idk. Weird.
