Im grateful for them to be there. They are great in the store but awful over the phone; sometimes I felt that someone hangs up on me as Im waiting to speak to the pharmacist. I wish I could use PillPack or Capsule. :(
One of the few great pharmacies left. The only thing I can think of that would make it better would be if they have a bike rack somewhere in front of the facility. A lot of people are going solar or foot pedal so parking spots are empty but tons of people are reluctant to leave their bikes in front and walk inside without their bikes being locked up.

Wow I understand we’re in a pandemic, but if the flyers state two items each, why was i only permitted to buy one bottle of alcohol and Couldn’t even buy alcohol pads thats a completely different item. It’s not like I’m trying to buy your whole inventory, just stuff to get by.

I waited in line at the pharmacy for nearly an hour at this location. At first I waited 25 minutes in line in the car, and after I finially decided to go inside it took another 35 minutes. The entire time the pharmacist was standing at the computer and didn’t help anybody at all. By the time I left, the person in line in front of me in her car was still there waiting to be helped. Go to a different pharmacy!!!!!
My doctor sent, through his nurse, my new heart medication. The nurse sent me a screen shot stating New City Walgreens has received it. Yet, they claimed they never received it. The guy at the drive through window was helpless, he sent me to another pharmacy stating that he thought itd be there. I drove all the way there to find out that it wasnt there and that it was sent to New City! Luckily, and thats what New City should have done, the Nyack Walgreens pharmacy filled up my prescription. I dont understand how that guy didnt see anything into the system and why sending me miles away? Btw, in the first place, they refilled my old prescription meanwhile I called 3 times to correct the mistakes since I kept on receiving the wrong prescriptions status messages. So I went back to return that wrong prescription as apparently no one understood what was wrong. They took the whole thing back and left me without any heart medication! When Nyack gave me the right prescription with the right amount of capsules as they EASILY found it in the Walgreens system, I called New City pharmacy to talk to the manager. Well, the manager defended the guy I was dealing with previously and she understood NOTHING I was saying as she kept on putting the blame on my doctor and his nurse! I repeated that the pharmacy was in the wrong and that I had the proof from the nurse that the right prescription was sent and received by the pharmacy, everything all dated to the time it was sent as well. The manager denied the whole thing! Useless and lack of customer service staff and ridiculous.

Dropped off two prescriptions just around luchtime and was told to come back in an hour. I had to pick up my children so it was almost 5 hours later before I had a chance. I first called the automated system to check & it only showed one being ready. I spoke to a gentleman who said Yes they will be ready by the time you get here. I dropped my kids off at the babysitter so I could pick up the prescriptions, go to the bank and fill up with gas all at once since Im already paying the babysitter. When I get to the pharmacy counter I was told by the Woman pharmacist that she needed to speak to my Doctor before releasing one of the prescriptions because there was a glitch on the prescription slip. I said that I was told to come over and they will be ready, she replied Well I didnt tell you that, and besides they ARE ready but you can only pick up the ONE! WOW! Idk, but when told that they are ready common sense would mean they are ready for PICKUP! She said that they left a message with my Doctor and asked if I wanted to pay for the one prescription and come back for the other. I said no, Ill wait to pick them up TOGETHER when they are BOTH actually ready.I called my Doctor and left a message, two hours later I left a second message.The next morning my Doctor called me back and when I explained, my Doctor said there were no messages from the pharmacy. My Doctor called the pharmacy, called me back and said its straightened out. I then once again called the automated system to check, it only showed one, I spoke to a Woman in the pharmacy who told me that I ALREADY picked up the other one YESTERDAY!!! I informed her that she is mistaken & I never picked up or paid for EITHER of them. She said that she will need to check the pharmacy camera to be sure, BUT she couldnt do that until sometime after 2PM! (This was at around 10am) I advised her that Im almost out of my prior prescription and couldnt someone in the store or pharmacy check it sooner since this is NOT my fault? She then NO, we are too busy and thats just the way its gonna be and if you insist on arguing its not going to go well for you!This is Horrible service, unprofessional, and rude. Absolutely no courtesy at all, & to Threaten me on top of it, when it was THEIR fault for telling me its ready & making me drive there with NO apologies at all, and it was THEIR fault by falsely saying that I already picked up one of the prescriptions when I did NOT and making me wait until they can find the time to look at their camera and investigate WHY Im being told that I ALREADY picked it up! And instead of apologizing for their mistakes, I was rudely THREATENED with; It will not go well for me!Maybe someone from the Walgreens company needs to monitor their employees on public relations & possibly internal theft of missing medication!
Better than CVS which is closer to where I live. Some nice staff.
By far this is the worst Walgreens Pharmacy ever. The people who work outside the pharmacy are great and helpful. But the pharmacy staff itself is a joke. They always screw up our prescriptions, inform us our prescription is ready go their twice today itself only to be told they dont have it ready and they dont have the medicine required in stock. This is after the doctor had sent the prescription twice since 9 am. Time now is 2:37. The pharmacy manager is as useless and so are the staff that works under her. This is not the 1st time this has happened to us and they give us run around about transferring the prescription over to another location or competitor but what makes it worse is the staff lying directly to our faces..
The pharmacist here treated myself, a cancer patient like a drug addict when I tried to fill a liquid pain killer prescription after my partial glossectomy (surgery to remove tongue). It was extreamly insulting and irresponsible to find the pharmacist took it upon herself to change my liquid pain meds to tablets that DISSOLVE ON YOUR TONGUE (I just had parts of my tongue surgically removed due to cancer) because she thought I was a drug seeker! Im still not sure exactly how she did this because Ive gotten about 2 separate stories from New City Walgreens:1. The Nyack Walgreens called it in as a tablet. (This cant be because another pharmacy cant call in this type of medication, only a doctor can)2. Your doctor changed it for you, I as the pharmacist cant just change it. (The doctor, who wasnt even my doctor, it was the doctor on call in the recovery Ward said she told him they were out of the liquid and when I spoke to my doc she said she would never prescribe a tablet that dissolves on your tongue after parts of your tongue were removed)Normally I go to Nyack Walgreens for any medications but they were out of the liquid and suggested New City Walgreens because they had it in stock.This was very upsetting to be treated like a drug addict and be denied pain meds the day after surgery. This type of surgery is quite painful and since I wasnt able to speak due to parts of my tongue missing & swollen I had to get a friend speak for me and since it was 6:00pm most of the people I needed to speak to had left for the day.This pharmacists unwarranted treatment was disgusting and quite an abuse of her power. I will NEVER give them my business again and I will be sure to inform anyone I encounter the disgusting treatment I received from them. You should be ashamed of yourself!
Disappointed in the rude customer service (or lack thereof service) received from the pharmacy staff. Was there to pick up a prescription 10 minutes before closing. Just to have the pharmacy staff completely ignore me for the 10 minutes. 1 was carrying on conversation and the other blatantly looked at me at the pick up window, then turned to the other to say the mic was on, turned it off, looked at me then walked away! Unacceptable and awful experience, beyond poor customer service. Would not recommend this pharmacy.
