I used to frequent this place even though they have always had the highest prices around. But they also used to have a unique selection. At a certain point last year they raised all of their prices at the same time as removing all pricing stickers for each item. So if value matters to you, you are forced to ask the cashier for each price for each item, which will run you about$2-5 more than you are used to paying. I brought this to their attention after going there for 6 years and bringing them some of my own homemade cider etc. they failed to provide a reason. The liquor store on grand Avenue has as good of options, without the class warfare. Elm city market also has cheaper beer with as good of a selection.
Absolutely beautiful wine shop. Everything is beautifully labeled, organized and easy to find with reasonable prices. Ask for what you want and theyll help you find it. Will definitely visit again.
Amazing service. The owner has been great at giving recommendations and updating us as items get back in stock.
For the most part they have any Alcoholic beverage or wine or beer that you may desire..
My wife and I love this liquor store! We lived in New Haven just down the street for a couple years and we always went here for our beer, wine, and liquor needs. It is a family owned and operated business with friendly and helpful staff and an excellent selection. They are tiny, so they dont have a whole lot, but Ive never bought a single thing from the store that I didnt like (or appreciate as a quality representative of its type). Also, if they dont have it, theyll order it for you, too. We miss this place! If youre in New Haven and looking for something and dont know what youre looking for, go here and theyll find you the thing you want.
Great selection, and the owner is extremely knowledgeable and makes amazing recommendations. Weve been coming here for years - its our favorite liquor store in the state. Cant recommend highly enough.
Great local liquor store with an excellent selection!
Great selection of wines from all around the world... youre going to find the bottle which best suits your taste and pocket!
Neighborhood staple
Great place, open 7 days a week, Ive known the owners personally for many years and there great people. Another staple of the Wooster Street Community
Great selections of sour beers
Superior customer service and premium selection. This store works with many smaller importers/distributors so theres a good amount of niche items. Its also a smaller store so only the best products make it on the shelves.Serious wine buyers and collectors: ask about the secret stash! Plenum Quarts, Geyser Peak 1999 Merlot, Mondavi Colmera 1998, Viader 1999, Symmetry 1996 and so many more ready to drink rare reds!
Locally owned business with good selection and competitive prices
Excellent selection of beer, wine, and liquor. Hands down best local spot.
Best local wine store.
Nicely curated selection.
Good selection for a neighborhood store
Very friendly staff!
Very good variety and prices, the bad thing is that they close early.
