This free CCL class is 1000% percent worth it. The instructor Devell Warren was great. He takes gun control and safety very seriously. He provides clear instructions that are easy to understand. Throughout the course youll learn gun safety, gun laws, trigger control, stances and how to properly shoot. Range day is the best day because you get to shoot and be proud of yourself for getting through the course. Kee Firearms is highly recommended!!

I took the Key Firearms conceal training class and it was everything I could have asked for and more. Our instructor was Devell Warren. He went above and beyond to make sure we all passed He is very strict with time and paying attention but he is the worlds greatest instructor (very passionate about what he does). He instills a level of confidence in all shooters from newbies to very experienced shooters and makes sure you know all the rules, laws and most importantly how to be safe while handling a fire arm. As long as you show him you’re willing to put in the work he will make sure you’re a 30/30 shooter come test time! Highly recommend, for everyone looking to take this class everyone at key including the the staff and range master will give you everything you need to succeed.

Hey this class was the best class I could have went to. I was introduced to all the knowledge that I needed to be successful in this course. Signing up for the course couldn’t be easier through their user friendly website. Devell keeps the class high energy and makes the 16 hour course entertaining. Would recommend to both new shooters and experienced shooters alike as you will most definitely learn something!

Instructor Develle was very thorough, he has great examples of real life situations that help understand the gravity of the situation. Nice showroom and knowledgeable staff. Will consider purchasing from them in future. Class was fun and worth the low price. Only suggestion is to explicitly say in the text/emails that class members need to show up for a 6 hour range the next day. This will keep instructors from ridiculing people for “not following directions” .

I went into this shop being brand new to firearms. I was impressed. I purchased the firearm I specifically went there to buy - although I was told they did not have the gun at first and almost left with something else. Luckily, I spoke with a second associate who found the firearm I wanted in stock. It takes a little while for the background check apparently but not a big deal, the safety measures in place are a good plan. I made the right decision in choosing this shop. Was one of the only shops around that carried the firearm I was looking for *in stock. Friendly staff, well organized, and a very large selection. 5 Stars

Great class! Received more than expected. Kudos to the staff for putting this class together. The instructor Devell was very knowledgeable with very high energy. He does everything to ensure you succeed. Hes a great instructor! Erin was so sweet and did a great job getting us the necessary documents that were needed. The Range Masters Adam and Galvin were awesome!!!. Both Galvin and Adam were very patient and they gave us the necessary tools and instructions that were needed at the gun range. I was extremely nervous when I arrived at the range. However, those guys guided me and put mind at ease. I was able to shoot 30 for 30 😁. I will definitely recommend Kee Firearms! Develle was my trainer and kept us laughing so much I loved the vibe he deft taught me so much I did not know. He was very informative for sure. Devell the instructor trainer was strict and helpful. The class is free and no air conditioning but the information obtained in this class is well worth the time. The class is 16hr and has fees that are very reasonable and well worth the range fee and ammunition. Erin was gracious to help students who needed help In class. The range master Adam was informative about range and reliable at teaching how to disarm a semi automatic gun. I highly recommended this class to all my friends and family. I suggest you register now for this class and so you can pass with flying colors. The instructors do an excellent job at training you.

Class is good, instructor keeps class up and entertained. Some hands on activities. You get two options to take the class, Thursday and Friday 5 hrs each day or a 10hr Saturday. Sunday is range day Instructor Adam helps you thru that day. Instructors are very professional and make this class easy to understand. Best Part is that these classes are free, except for other services like range fee, Firearm rental, and Fingerprints. But overall great experience and would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Im grateful for the opportunity to compete this CCL class. Registration was easy and the hours worked great for my schedule. Their staff was welcoming and helpful. The instructor, Devell, was thorough and very intentional about teaching the class properly. However, his demeanor and interactions with some could us an adjustment. My overall experience was great, but if I could recommend anything, it would be to allow a time for in-class hands on simulation especially for those who has never handled a firearm. The class didnt allow for any hands-on experience and book knowledge alone isnt sufficient prior to the range. I was extremely nervous, but Adam T. was simply amazing at the range. Overall, I would recommend Kee Firearms. I look forward to improving my skills and purchasing my first firearm.

Hands down, the *best* firearm training I have ever received. Very professional, quality training packed with lots of extra information (information that is required by law and also tips instructors have learned along the way). The instructors are super knowledgeable. Very strict on exactly 16 hours of training, which is good.Improvement tips:1) The room has high ceilings and cinder block walls, so voices/sounds bounce around and it’s hard to hear at times. Maybe sound absorbing material/foam on the walls.2) Because of the issue listed in number 1, there’s a lot of yelling. It can be distracting, super loud, and hard to discern what the instructors are saying. Maybe use a sound system if it’s available?Come prepared with food/snacks and drinks.Overall great experience. Grateful it was a free service, every dollar helps. Thankful for this program. Everyone was warm/welcoming, polite, and kind.

Just completed my concealed carry course; and whether youve paid for the class or signed up for the free, free, free class, you will be leaving very knowledgeable. The instructor (Devell) is very informative in making sure that you know everything that you should know and might need to know about owning and carrying a weapon. Adam, your range instructor, is very knowledgeable and does a great job of assisting you while at the range. All in all, I am very pleased and satisfied with the classroom instruction and the range portion of Kee Firearms and Training 😀.

I highly recommend this place. Great selection of firearms and ammo. They also offer free Concealed Carry classes! The store is family owned and operated and the people couldnt be nicer. The actual Concealed Carry class had a great mix of people - young, elder, female, male and all races and ethnicities. Do yourself a favor and check it out for yourself.

The instructor Devell and the range master Adam did an excellent job instructing the class. The registration was quick and easy and nonetheless efficient. The class itself handled all the areas well and made sure I as the shooter was well trained.

Devell was our classroom instructor and Adam was our range master and they were both so helpful and nice. Devell made class very exciting and engaging and taught us a lot. My Instructor Devel Warren and my range master Adam triolo were GREAT . I genuinely appreciate the guidance and instructions for the proper way to use my firearm. They also assisted me on how to handle a misfire, hang fire, or squib load within my firearm. Devell Warren was a very good instructor. He know what he was talking about, and kept the class engaged. He brought both book education and real world experience to this class. The shoot out was put together great. Great direction from all the Kee staff to make the whole class run smoothly. I left the class with a much better understanding of gun safety and the law than when I came in. The instructor, Develle made the material easy to understand, and shared his personal real life experience to turn us into better shooters. I would strongly urge you to take this class, not just because it’s zero cost to you, but you will learn something valuable. I recommend Kee 110%.

Kee Firearms class was actually very interesting. This class made me more confident too use a weapon. I told myself I wasn’t gone touch a gun until I took a conceal to carry class and I did just that. Kee Firearms taught me everything I needed to know. I just wanna say first that my instructor was great at explaining and demonstrating everything. He gave us the needed information and added tax. Coming into this class i thought it was gonna be easy, but Devell challenged me to know more because knowledge is everything and you dont get a pass from the law for ignorance. That was my takeaway for the class. End of class wrap up could have been faster. waited after the time limit

Great atmosphere for educational introduction to firearms and the laws pertaining to them. The staff is VERY knowledgeable about safety and the responsibility one must exemplify and be accountable for after the FREE class that they have made available. Kee Firearms has been a great place to go. The staff is knowledgeable and willing to go over the proper handling of the weapons available..I did the free Conceal Carry Class that they are temporarily offering. I will be honest, at first I thought the class would be boring. Instead, I found it to be very interactive and highly informative. I chose to do the 10 hour Saturday class and 6 hour Sunday class range day. For sitting in a classroom for ten hours, Im not bored and the instructors have been quite engaging with the conversations and they are willing to answer any and all questions that the students have.

I would like to say I had a great experience during the training classes for my CCL here. The instructor was the best you will probably get. He’s very hands on and down to earth. He teaches you everything you need to know plus MORE.

I just took the free Concealed and Carry firearm training at Kee Firearms and Training. This was a great class and very informative. The instructor Devel was very good and to the point and gave us a lot of good tips on how to be safe and use your firearm properly. This is a class I will be telling everyone who needs a concealed and carry license to take. The showroom at Kee was very clean and stocked, and the staff was very nice and welcoming. The first day I had a class with Adam which was great!! I really enjoy his class and felt I learned a lot! I couldn’t make his class the next day so I had toTake my second class with a different instructor which was Mr. Warren This is when I felt like walking out of the classroom. Mr. Warren was VERY outspoken which was cool. The only thing I did not like was the fact that he was such an aggressive teacher! He cursed! He screamed! Shid I felt like I was in army base classroom! My experience was really bad! I did not enjoy the class at all!!! It was kind of hard learning something with so much profanity and negativity! Final day was range day and that went well.

Going into it I was extremely nervous and didn’t have much experience with using firearms. After the awesome and entertaining instruction from all instructors and the guest speakers (which offered good advice) I can honestly say I’m more confident defending myself in a life or death scenario. Definitely recommend this course to everyone who wants to become a responsible firearm owner

Kee Firearms is great. All the personel is very knowledgeable and thorough in the Concealed Carry Class I took. Was easy to sign up and the instructors gave a clear understanding in every aspect necessary to be assured of receiving my qualification. Erin helped tremendously and will be processing my application to the state to make sure there will be no additional delay in receiving my concealed carry card. Great job. Great class great info. The class was not just informative(and most of it is very “dry”) but it was also entertaining making it easier to retain. One things that i liked most was the emphasis on this being the beginning of expanding my training, knowledge, awareness, etc. The way the instructors were able to keep the class engaged and retentive was. This class motivated me, another point that really stuck with me was Don’t be complacent.

This class was Great! The instructor was very understanding. The staff are great and very helpful. They offer several different options for times to take the concealed carry class.

Warren is an excellent instructor, but hard nose. At first, I was kind of afraid to use a gun, but now I am not. I recommend that every gun owner take this class. The range instructor was excellent as well.I recommend that you give more pop quiz during to break up the flow of the lectures.

The instructor was very knowledgeable(Devell). He was very funny and kept you engaged in the class. Okay now on to the negatives. The drive to the range was far and should be discussed before the second day. The hands on activity should be done in a separate room because trying to pay attention to the instructor and not get distracted from the outside noise was a bit much but overall it was a really good experience and especially for first timers.

Great place for training, firearm sales and Adam was great at his training. Very knowledgeable at what he is doing. Keep up the good work.

Class was very informative. Instructors were great. Didnt like having to drive 36 min to the range from the class and back. But for a free class you really cant complain. I do feel more confident in my abilities now.

This training was super informative. As someone who only has street knowledge of guns which was even little to none, it was much needed information. The training was long but interactive. The trainer kept me interested and while I hadn’t sat in a seat that long since I worked a real 9-5 it was bearable.The only thing I would say is registration day was dreadful in the hot showroom, I guess there’s not much you can do about that but that was the only thing that bothered me. The staff was super helpful that day and patient also.I went home this weekend and told literally anyone that would listen about this course. My friends and family were so intrigued with my knowledge and what they thought they knew that I was able to correct.Thank you for offering this class, as a Chicago southsider I think it’s a necessity to have this knowledge and I will continue to train and learn.

Please do not come to class unprepared and do not say clip referring to the magazine. Erin is a sweetheart and very personable. Adam is informative and was patient with me at the range.

The instructor, Devell, is extremely prompt so make sure you are awake and on time for both your training and range days.Training day: Our training day was in august, and the room got warm in the afternoon so make sure you dress appropriately. I’m sure in the winter it can get cold in there. If you are hard of hearing sit near the front. He walks around, but I’d imagine it’s a little easier to hear the closer you are to the presentation screen. Bring your own snacks because it’s likely there will be people who show up late and waste class time, which cuts into your lunch time. It would help limit distractions if they oiled the door where you go to the showroom.Range day: Devell tells you they come up to the car to get your out but they do not. We stayed in the car and ended having to go with a different group after getting out of the car because we were missed. It would be better if they ask you to check in when you arrive at Kee, what your experience level is, if you are renting or own a gun, and whether or not you are riding with someone. Then write your name into a group and tell you that you are in that group number.Overall this is an extremely valuable course that teaches a lot if you are willing to use common sense and learn.

Passionate, informative and professional instructors. However, the attorney segment was longer than needed to be -sounded like an infomercial and reminded me a bit of a Better Call Saul pitch. Also, although Erin had to verify our info I feel it could have been done during the breaks because it became somewhat distracting.Lastly. Wish the power point was in handouts so it could be easier to follow & study rather than take notes behind someone who is screen hogging.It May appear as though my comments are negative but rather meant as constructive criticism.

I’ve never used a gun and was afraid to use one. This class has taught me everything I need to know to be a confident and safe gun owner. The instructors are thorough and set you up to succeed, but Devell can be a little moody. Also check your shot count, mine was off by 4. #26

Very informative course. Instructor was very passionate and knowledgeable. People may say he’s a bit too hard core. He takes the course very seriously. Illinois could use a lot more instructors like him.

I attended Kee s free CCL training course and I am so glad I did. Their class was very educational and fun at the same time. D.Warren is hands down an amazing instructor who makes the long hours go by fast. He made sure to go over all the needed information for the test thoroughly and kept us engaged at all times. I learned so much in this class and is definitely information I will be applying at all times moving forward. On Sunday Gun day (aka test day) there were 128 trainees, goes to show how popular this class is. I hope they continue being this great and thanks a lot to the whole team.
