I took in a 1916-D Mercury dime to see if it was real (I found it fashioned onto a ring). One of the old guys there dismissed it outright before he even looked at it. I asked him to look at the mint mark that shows a D and he barked back where do you even see a D? and scoffed that his loupes magnification wasnt strong enough to see a mint mark. If a coin shop doesnt want to take the time to examine possibly one of the rarest coins in modern history, how can you trust them with anything? This is exactly the kind of elitist, unhelpful and dismissive behavior that gives coin dealers a bad name. I took the coin across the street to Stacks Bowers, where a couple helpful people took the time to examine it and they concluded that it was a real and genuine 1916-D. I wouldnt trust Brigandi with common date coinage let alone anything of real value and Ill be staying far away from this business.To the man who dismissed my request for help: come on man, be better than that. I was just looking for a little expertise. Coin shops are a dying industry and your unhelpful behavior contributes to that.Edited to add: I called the business to tell them I was disappointed in how they treated a customer, and the guy (the original guy I talked to in person) accused me of being a fraud and that I was trying misrepresent this coin to him. He said he was trying to ease me out the door and that I was trying to sell him a fake coin. He repeatedly screamed bullsh*t at me on me the phone after I told him I took it to Stacks, and that he was going to give this review a complimentary response. If he had talked to me in the first place he wouldve known that I had no intention of selling it--I didnt sell it to Stacks even after they verified it. Disappointed in this businesss unnecessary aggression and active hostility. These guys are doubling down and they cant be trusted.

Chris Brigandi was beyond exceptional. I purchased a high end memorabilia piece. The most important part of these transactions is open communication and Chris was superb! Not only did he walk me through every step, he went above and beyond. Also, the item was as described. I could not recommend him and the company more. Class act!

The Brigandi name means quality and authenticity. I am a Chicago buyer of a Presidential autograph and can’t stress enough the professionalism when trying to buy from another state. I am a collector of international coins visiting the city and stopped by here to see what they had. Their specialty was US coins but they still had a considerable amount of world coins. The price for these were a bit on the high side but still stick close to the coin value. The service was excellent I was able to get 3 coins for 35 dollars when they were worth 46. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this shop for other collectors.

I cant believe why someone doesnt give 5 stars! I was just passing by and came across Brigandi coins store. When I entered the store without any appointment, it was almost closing time on Friday but they welcomed my family and gladly helped me to sell something. Then I became a regular customer for Brigandi Coins and have sent something to sell by mail although Im living in PA. I know New York city is a really competitive place and meeting nice guys is a bit challenge. I was very lucky to meet them, really nice ans sincere guys.

Called them in search of their prices on coins, was treated like a joke for asking for 1/10th, 1/4, 1/2 and 1 ounce coin prices. Asked about shipping and was laughed at?? Very strange behavior. Not to mention, his smug demeanor is very “cringe-y”.I personally wouldn’t recommend dealing with these people based on this experience.

Ive bought numerous items from Brigandi through out the years. Serious high ticket purchases, no pocket change, real high end stuff. On two transactions I realized that I made a mistake it was the wrong purchase - Brigandi returned my money no questions asked. On another purchase, I left the item at their vault for a month, when I went back to pick up the item I realized I lost my receipt. Again no issues they honored the deal. For me that goes a long way, not to mention the staff is extremely knowledgable and professional.

I was looking for 2012 Australia Kookaburra MS70 silver coin and came across Brigandi Coins and Collectibles. As milk stain (white cloud) and toning is common on these silver coins even graded as MS70, I sent a message and asked the quality about the coin. Even this is a very small deal, Mr. Justin Brigandi checked the inventory, patiently answered all my questions and assured me that the best coin would be selected for shipment. Upon receiving the coin, I do not have any complaint about the quality of the coin and am very grateful for his time and effort for such a small money coin. I will certainly buy from this company again in the future.

My son recommend the brigandi store to me.He told me everything he bought was discounted.l went there with a framed photo with Yankee signatures to have it authenticated.Chris told me save your money it didnt need it. He would buy it himself. Honestly is my truck guide. If people are nice and then they cheat you whats the point. They are ñice and honest.

Just visited the store and even though it was closing time, they were kind enough to let me in. However they were quickly removing things and packing them... it seemed they were more eager to go home than entertain a customer.When I showed interest in gold coins, the older gentleman was quick to comment that they sell gold only for cash. No credit cards. Perhaps it was just me, but this is the first pawn shop I have seen which does not want to sell on credit card and wants cash upfront.Since I did not have a lot of cash on hand, I did pick up a small non-gold item but again they did not offer a lot of discount. Just 12% off list price. For this also they wanted cash.The younger gentleman was welcoming and tried to answer all my queries, but it seemed he was new and had to double check a lot of things.In summary:- This is a big pawn shop and has a lot of coins - gold, silver, others.- Mostly american coins and not much foreign stuff- Lot of sports memorabilia (autographed as well)- Everything is expensive and I did not see much interest from the staff to offer discounts and sell stuff- Will probably look at you and then decided to accept credit card or not- Did not give an invoice even when I requested

Went in there today to check out some things I saw online. Had a very pleasant experience. I looked around for a bit peacefully and when I was ready ask, Justin was immediately responsive and helped in exactly what I was looking at and for - no bs in trying to plus sell on things I didnt want, no run around, just very concise and exactly to the points of my questions. Definitely worth looking at their inventory and will keep an eye out.

It looks like a nice place. But the opening hours are NOT precise. I just went there half an hour before closing, and the store was obviously closed for the Day. Unfortunately.

I visited recently, looking for a very specific item (an 1881 Morgan dollar coin). On entering the store I was met by a very courteous gentlemen, who then handed me on to a colleague who I later learned was Christopher Briganti. Mr. Briganti was kind enough to show me the examples he had on hand, and when I made my selection he also offered a discount for cash.A very pleasant experience, and I now have a lovely souvenir of my New York trip.

Brigandi Coin was a perfect choice to get a last-minute birthday gift for a close friend and Yankees fan. I went to their store and came across a large selection of new and vintage memorabilia. I left with a Derek Jeter signed photo, while adding a Don Mattingly signed baseball to my personal collection. Very affordable and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

I discovered Brigandi Coins and Collectibles while searching google for baseball collectibles in NYC. I had a good experience dealing with the staff, and was able to get a signed ball that I was after for a fair price. I will be doing business with them again in the future.

Guy there at the time was chewing tobacco and constantly spitting into a Gatorade bottle. He missed a few times and the counter was all sticky and brown. But at least everything else was pleasant

The employees were very rude, when I walked in none of them asked me if I needed help. I must have walked around for at least fifteen minutes and nobody even acknowledged me, the kicker there werent even any other customers there. The dont really have a good selection either, its mostly baseball stuff, they had two signed footballs, one signed football helmet, and one signed basketball. The only other things they had were old coins/ old currency notes, some signed bats, and vintage baseball cards. But the store was nice

Terrible, dont stand behind their merchandise. The signature on my Tom Seaver baseball faded. When I called,Jonathan was rude and no help. This was a gift to me, and he wanted to know who gave the gift and then requested the original receipt for the gift. Anything is better than real help is how they work at Brigandi Coin. Do not shop there!
