I purchased an insurance plan for some wireless earphones at this location. The sales rep told me I’d be able to return the device at the store. Upon trying to return and exchange the device, i was instructed to call a third-party that would handle the claim.Went to file claim and it’s covered by the manufacturer. I’m out money that didn’t have to be spent. The cost of these insurance plans are pricey. Management needs to instruct sales reps to properly dictate to customers the terms of the insurance being purchased.
I agree with the other reviews: it is relatively small, but fully packed store. Very convenient. Sometimes the staff is tired, but i completely understand that, we all humans, and it is normal. Once i needed to buy a toy as a gift quickly, and this place saved me.
This location is way too small, prices are a lot higher than in other target locations, and the choices are kind of useless. It is not worth going out of your way to make the trip there. local Duane Reade will do just fine.
Its a small 2 level target but has almost everything. The grocery section is well stocked and has a good amount of products. Clothing section is small but has some essentials. Home section is packed with daily essentials and you can almost find what you need.
A friend and I had to wait 30 minutes for personell to empty the return bottle machine. I have been at this store almost daily as I live across the street from it and it is convenient. The service lock a lot to be desired. Personell locks training and people friendly manner
When I heard that Target was opening in my neighborhood, I was thrilled. In fact, its first few months of being opened I shopped there almost every other week, abandoning other longstanding favorites of mine. But over the last 6 months, the store has only seemed to get worse, with its only redeeming qualities being its cheery, helpful employees, its occasional good-find, and its commendable handling of reopening during the pandemic. My main issue is the disparity between what Target is known to be stellar at (HIGH-QUALITY goods, across a wide VARIETY, priced incredibly REASONABLY) and the products that this particular store carries. I know that space is a challenge for any Manhattan store, but the Home section, for example, carries the same basic, unchanging products. Nothing as appealing as Targets Jersey City or Harlem store. Its a shame because, for example, I saw a wide collection of peel-and-stick wallpaper both at other stores and online but could not for the life of me find it at this location at any point in the last year. Again, its always the same rather basic hardware products with a couple of pillows/throws.Manhattan shoppers are often sophisticated and fickle. Whoever is running this location should know especially that in the East Village, the opportunity for loyalty can be huge should Target focus on unique, innovative, affordable products both for the home and for groceries. No one is going there to buy clothes. Nonetheless, the staff continues to be helpful, and the shopping experience itself is rather hassle-free with good energy. If only the company would focus on supplying more appealing products, then Im sure not only me but many others will be encouraged to visit and shop more frequently.
Ever since i lived in California, Target was a preferrence it has grocery, electronic and department store, they even have pharmacy here. Reason i like this 14 st. location.I can look for electronic or personal apparel at the same time do grocery. Today i was looking for DSLR camera for good deal prices. I know they have some sale from time to time. I did buy some electronics here before like printer, sd cards etc. They do have some few entry level cameras, not the full frame camera i was looking for. Then i proceeded to look for me some winter stuff and do grocery instead.Staff are helpful here and ready to answer and look for items you need.
The staff here are usually nice and helpful and most of the time I find what I am looking for.But today I overheard the tall gentlemen with the dreadlocks, I believe he’s a manager at the store, belittling an employee because they were not working fast enough. I go into this target often because I live in the area and usually see him but I never see him working. And this is not the first time I’ve saw him being extremely rude to his fellow coworkers. I don’t understand how people like this gets hire and think it’s okay to be cruel to others especially during times like this. Target should be ashamed of themselves for hiring lazy people who thinks they can control others, I will be calling corporate once I figure out his name.Update: My husband informed me that Google hid or deleted my first review. Be aware that this location is intentionally hiding bad reviews. I change from one star to five so people can see this. I found out the manager name is JASON and I will be calling corporate first thing Monday morning.
Idk guys. At first I was like no way target belongs here. But like.. the prices are good and at the end of the day I’m a consumer. That said, I’ve been here a few times now and it always seems understocked somehow. Idk if it’s a busy location or what. And whenever I try to preorder online, this location seems to never have the item I’m looking for. I put a bunch of photos so maybe you guys can see what I’m talking about. This home goods section does seem pretty useful here and I notice that the makeup aisles always seem busy so I put a bunch of pics of that so maybe that’ll be useful.
I am a devoted Target customer and was really excited about this store opening in my neighborhood. Unfortunately, my happiness was short lived. The associates at this store are consistently rude. I am genuinely afraid to approach them for assistance. I have gotten anywhere from deep sigh, eye roll, silence + stare to its not my job. My recent interaction with an associate named Leanna left me fuming.I have shopped at numerous target locations and I have never had any issue. I blame the management team that oversees this location. You may have few bad apples but if majority of your crew are unprofessional then there is problem at the top.Note to management: Take lessons in management and customer service from your neighbor - TRADER JOES. In this day and age, you cannot slack off. Your market share will evaporate if you are not customer centric. In addition, please address your pricing discrepancies between store and online. Why are store items priced higher than your website?Note to associates: If you hate customer service then bow out and let someone else take your place. Unemployment rate is through the roof and there are millions struggling to find a job. It is not fair to you to be stuck in a job that makes you miserable. It is not fair to a potential customer centric candidate who can really use a job and be good at it. It is not fair to the customer who is spending their hard earned money only to be treated like garbage.Note to fellow customers: please surface your customer service concerns and call their corporate number. This is our neighborhood and we help generate revenue for these businesses. Getting disrespected is absolutely not an option.*google takes my reviews down if I give them lower stars* google is another Yelp. It’s pretty sad actually.
This may be the worse stocked Target in the United States
Excellent Target 🎯🎯💬Amazing E. 14th Location near Union Square. 14th Street is one of the best blocks in Manhattan and this brand new Target lives up to the expectation. Great store, great customer service, nice modern architecture. They have everything you need from paper to electronics to produce, plus some unique items like a cool mini table tennis set I picked up. 🏓💬After dessert we transform the dining room table into a ping pong table.
Small but very well stocked w/items employees here R informative, friendly & helpful!! 👍👍👍
This new target store is a nightmare- Poor variety, overpriced, unorganized, and unfriendly. I thought it would improve, so went back after a year, but same problems...So, I won’t be going back.
I was in the neighborhood this was my first visit.nice place for everyday item shopping.
Always out of stock. Horrible.
This location does not enforce Covid safety measures. Every time I try to safely pick up an order, there are several employees in the front of the store not wearing a mask covering their nose. I have spoken to someone in the cooperate office and I have spoken to a manager at the specific location, yet the problem persists. Today there were way too many people in the store, the guy at the security desk and someone behind the check out counter were not wearing the mask over their nose. Given that covid numbers are on the rise again, I decided that i didnt feel safe waiting. The guy standing at the door to greet costumers condescendingly thanked me for my patience. good one. Seriously though, why should Target by part of the solution, when they could be part of the problem and still make huge huge profits!?! I wont be going back.
Kick out and ban maskless individuals in your store. Thanks.
I love it you can get so good things I need there:)
I was walking around the area and came across this Target. It was small but had a good amount of inventory for the size. There were only a few checkouts open but it moved quickly. I would come back to this Target again.
This Target is smaller than most so dont expect to find all the great selections you would find other Targets. Shopping at this location made me appreciate the Target near my apartment. Managers at this location should consider having baskets on the lower level as well as at the entrance.
This place opened around July 2018. This spot was Stuyvesant Supermarket Deli until 2010.
It is a small location not SOOO big compared to the Atlantic terminal mall 🥴
One of my favorite places to shop
Doesn’t have what I normally purchase at target but they do have the essentials. At the time I went, staff were still trying to get items in since it was relatively new. Self checkout is nice too. They always have someone around the area in case someone needs help. Great place to shop.
Store has only recently opened and I have to say that I like the place as a shopping option. Really cant beat the prices. Small grocery section which is giving Associated across the street some stiff competition (much better prices but limited selection). Prices are about 1/3 less than Duane Reade or CVS for pharmacy or paper goods. Store seems to be well run as the staff are mostly available and helpful. Smaller than you might expect, but nicely laid out on two floors.
Limited products. I would call this a target express. And the prices seem to be increased from the prices I’ve seen online. It’s good if you need to pop in a grab some soap and some thing quick. Convenient But again not at all what I thought it was going to be. The one is Harlem is more worth it to me. The staff was nice though.
East Village target was excellent. I was able to find just about everything I was looking for.. The only note for improvement is on the first floor. The aisle and aisle numbers needs to be more clearly visible like the way it is downstairs. Otherwise, than thlat i needed assistance with finding and two staff workers were very accommodating and helpful.
Dont know why they have a line cause lots of peeps come out and your still waiting no one is keeping track just pretending kmart is bigger should enforce a line and they dont even havr that just useless
Target is always great
Peefect.
The store is small. This department store has only 2 bathrooms. So be prepared to wait if store is busy. No eating area where warm food like pizza is served. But i did not look through the entire store to find one. If it does have one it should be place in front of store. The prices of food items are not that affordable. Its like the price of an average grocery store. The food area is very small should be expanded. The uptown Target store is much bigger and the prices like snacks are more reasonable. But i do like the store is very clean, their are a lot of self checkout registers.
I can’t get behind this Target layout. Not sure what it is. There isn’t an extensive grocery variety, at least when I went. and if you walk a little too past the grocery section, you enter the women’s clothing section. Small and cramped, even during the pandemic.
This TARGET is fairly new to the neighborhood, but they carry lots of variety, from food, to toys, to clothing and home goods, I must say that they have a little bit of everything here and prices are unbeatable!!!
Nice variety of stuff to be found here, from clothing, to home goods, to quick groceries on the run. Most prices are affordable compared to the neighborhood on the whole. I always try to shop local before I hit the big chains, but Im glad this is around!
They have some good deals on food believe it or not. Everything else is hit or miss. However, its one of those places that is worth checking out if you need something random.
I had to wait to be cashed out. Two items. You need to have staff members in the front to cash the customers out. SIMPLE.
I think that the customer service here is TERRIBLE. Never have I felt so disrespected by a sales associate. If your workers do not care for us as customers, they don’t need to be working here. Period. Specifics: Hone section & Men’s.
Love target! This is a small store but can find anything you need. Staff is extremely helpful and courtious. Shelves were a bit bare and there was one staff member that wasnt helpful and kept rearranging the same thing, perhaps she should have restocked the empty shelves. Otherwise great shop.
Went there to do some shopping yesterday for a new coffee maker and some other things for my house. Like someone said before, its like a Mini Target Express, similar to the one near Greenwich Street. Theres a first floor and also a basement floor that has a bit more stuff. Pretty clean in there for the most part and bright too! No one offered me help though.
I found mineral oil for $2.85 for 16 oz versus $7 for the same thing at CVS. The store is very nicely laid out. Sour cream and cottage cheese very well priced. Im coming back
This is very small target store, they are not fully stocked and some dairy items like almond/coconut/soy milks are all gone. Did not see any garden items for a NYC apartments. Overall, clean and bright. The bigger Target at Atlantic Ave in Brooklyn is better but very busy and messy.
Very small with a limited inventory. It’s good if you have to grab something essential in a pinch. Probably won’t have what you’re looking for if you have something a bit more unique. Don’t expect tons of buying options.
Closed at 9:50. Clearly not following corporate guidelines.
Great for quick shopping. Some prices are cheaper than Kmart, and other prices are equal or more expensive than Kmart. Still, very convenient for the neighborhood.
Out of several basic items, like windex.
Small-format Targets are brilliant. Its amazing how much they fit into such a small footprint - and maintain everything else you expect from Target. Limited produce, dairy and non-perishable groceries upstairs. Cat & Jack kids clothes are solid. Cant wait until the next target opens on 29th/2nd.
I love this Target because its nearby by house and my sons afterschool. The staff is nice, shelves are always stocked and its great pricing. I cant stay away from this place.
The location is great for us (east villager). It would be seriously so nice if the service reps are actually courteous and friendly.
I live in bk .. and i traveled to this target to pick up a order. i Got a email after about half an hr after placing my order .. saying my order was ready for pick up.. . got there 6hrs later and still had to wait .. they couldnt find my order for about 20 mins i stood there watching them figure out where my order was and while there the team members were very unprofessional . finally they gave up and just got one off the shelf .. i guess. . i love target but not this one
You cant beat the prices! I stop here a couple times a week to pick up yogurt, cereal, milk, etc..I pay less than at the markets. The kids who work here are helpful and they really know their stuff. Ive never been given bad advise. Also, any place that allows me to enter in my rollerblades, is okey by me!
I missed
This location is pretty small and lacks in the clothing department. You can find a little of everything but because of the small space, you simply cant find the variety of items that most Target stores offer.
Its target. Nothing special. Will either have what you need or it wont. Nice selection of board games though!
Not very crowded but pretty small for a target... Not a lot of stuff.. but cashiers were friendly
Its a fast check out the one time I was there and real nice to me
Team member Nia and the on duty manager Artemis are extremely unprofessional, rude, and aggressive. They are not customer oriented. I wonder if that is how all guests are being treated?
I purchased a Bluetooth “Heydey” speaker for my I-phone a few weeks ago from a Target Store in Middletown, NY. After reading the instructions, I discovered that 2 speakers can be “synched” for a Stereo effect. I was so excited that when I got back to NYC I purchased another one at the Herald Square location, but to my disappointment the synching did not work. When I called “tech support” they were unable to assist me and told me to go to any Target electronic department for tech support. The Target employee in the East Village on East 14th Street was very patient and spent much time providing tech support, but was unable to resolve the issue. So, he suggested that I return when their “super techie Bladimir” was back on duty. Bladimir indeed lived up to his reputation and deserves recognition for his expertise. He was patient, professional and took whatever time was necessary AND, he DID resolve the problem! And, the stereo speakers are GREAT! However, we both agreed that the enclosed Target instructions should be more user friendly and specifically detail the method of synching the 2 speakers (perhaps with a diagram).
A very nice Target on the east side. Clean, well stocked and helpful staff.
Great sales, not very large but you can still find what youre looking for.
Overall good experience but could be a little more welcoming. Missing that Target feeling but Im sure they will get it in time
Basically a small CVS... But works well if you need something quickly.
Wonderful atmosphere staff. Polite n helpful
Bananas are market at $0.25 each and cashiers charge $0.45 each. This is a recurring error!
Better stocked than when first opened. Clothing area still too small, no size xs/s
Target has become so pathetic, I will not do business with you anymore. I do not care if you are giving away your merchandise, I am done. Just cancelled my Target card and it felt so right. And do us all a favor and do not post some lame, canned “I’m so sorry” B.S. reply to my post. We all see right through that, and know you do not give a ratzzz azzz.
Nice to have a Target in NYC. Should be bigger, theres room in NYC for one & you would do well because it is needed
This was my first time in this target its pretty nice and well maintained. I found everything I was looking for, so it gets my vote.
Very convenient but also very lightly stocked.
Why dont the manhattan target doesnt enough clothing for babies and kids. The Manhattan targets sucks to even shop for abult clothing. Best target to go to is the one in queens near the mall.
Decent, clean, good area for quick shopping and everything appears easy to find
The best store for household items! Groceries are getting better.
Quick stop to get your musts before a crazy Thursdays night
As excited as I was that there was a target nearby the shelves always seem empty and the basics are nearly always sold out.
Nice people shelves could be stocked more as more people use the store.
Its a nice place but should have more varieties on product...
CARMEN provided absolutely horrible customer service! Visited this Target the evening of Sept 3, 2018. While on the elevator I asked CARMEN and a male employee if they could please look on their handheld store locator and see if they carried a particular household cleaning item that I was unable to find at this particular Target. The male employee told me yes but CARMEN corrected him and told me No. Thats what the app is for and anyway we cant help because we have a team huddle. CARMEN proceeded to tell me to look up the item myself on the Target app. Target fell way short in the hiring of CARMEN - as she leads horribly by example and discourages other employees in providing the courteous and helpful service Target is so strongly known for. This will be addressed further.
Worst Target ever, even for an urban Target it basically lacks almost everything that makes Target fun to shop at. Not any different than a big Walgreens, except maybe slightly cheaper. Not worth a special trip.
I love Target, you find things you are not looking for. Great stuff at great prices
Great. This location was better stocked with what I was looking for as opposed to the location closest to me.
Always meets the mark--quality, selection, value, customer service. Its never disappointing and as expected in any of their locales.
Best for non clothing and non decor items. Small compared to 117 street mega store.
A smaller store but youll find the essential needs
No shoe department. No dollar section either. Pretty small do not a large selection of things.
They have everything that I go there for; very good for an Express store!
Small and easy to move around food and fruits are fresh love it.
Has most of the things I need at a great price.
Great to have a Target here but its small - NYC style! Youll be happy to know there are various small departments but selection is limited based on size
Great exoerience, great selection, employees can be a bit more engaging albeit each were helpful, they could be a tad more friendly... Or Ive been In Tampa too long ...
Its a pretty good store find what I need it
Tip - This Target literally doubles the price of their makeup it’s insane so I always pull up the online price and make them match it for me. Has saved me tons!
I was pleased to find exactly, what I needed & was assisted by sales representative, got the sales price too! Yipee!
I guess for NYC its ok, but I live in he hudson valley, Im a bit spoiled with the size of our stores.
Store has everything you want at a great price
