I could not recommend the town shop more highly. Like many women, I was so tired and fed up of uncomfortable ill-fitting bras. Therefore, tired and hopeless, I decided to come into the town shop to see if they could help me. I was so deeply impressed. The service was impeccable — Denise helped me the entire time and truly made me feel like a valued, respected, and cared about individual. I left with two (very comfortable!!) bras that I am super pleased with. I would also like to add that, for fellow young people apprehensive about shopping here, I am 18 and found numerous very cute and comfy bras during my time at this store. I would not be scared away due to fears that it caters to an older age demographic. It is fully fully worth it.

Wow, this place is great. It doesn’t look like they have much selection when you step into the store but my was I wrong. I brought my daughter for her bra fitting and we found perfect bras for her. I received my own fitting and was surprised to find that I was wearing a cup smaller. Staff was friendly. Karen was our bra-fitter and she was absolutely amazing. I totally recommend this place.

I went cause I was tired of how horrible my brads fit and that my clothes looked so ill fitting. I was helped by Kayley and she was literally the bee’s knees. She was so kind and understanding. I was so excited to have a good fitting bra. She was super knowledgeable. Honestly would recommend her cause her customer service skills are A1.

I had to buy a very specific bra VERY last minute in two sizes and they were extremely accommodating. They took my info over the phone so that I was just able to stop in and pick up what I ordered on my way. I will absolutely return. A really great experience.

My recent visit at Town Shop was long overdue. My size changed recently and I needed new bras and advice. Without doubt it is the right place to go if you’re looking for quality bras and customer service! I was greeted and assisted by Arlita. She made me feel comfortable right away with her nonjudgemental attitude. Within a few minutes she determined my right size and style of bras that worked with my budget. Definitely I will be back! It was one of the best customer service that Ive ever experienced.

LOVE this place! I had no idea! No more Vickis Secret, hello Town Shop! The attendants are very well versed on fitting and really go out of their way to help size you, and find pieces in your style. I will definitely be back. They also have swimwear! They have tons of brands that I love from Wolford to Natori and more! I would recommend this place to anyone. Its clean, bright, airy, easy to navigate with tons of product in house. The changing/fitting areas are well designed to have a nice flow, but give privacy where needed. So I had the priviledge of being taken care of by the lovely Karen today. I went in there not expecting to find much for my size as Ive always had a difficult time finding bras. However, from the moment I stepped in until checkout I realized that my expectation was dead wrong. The sales ladies were very attentive when I stepped in and Karen took me to the back to help me find my correct size (36HH). She asked me questions and made me feel comfortable in an otherwise uncomfortable situation for me (talking about my chest was never easy for me). She had me try on several bras and helped me get into them. She even helped me find some affordable bras for my size! I walked away from this experience with three bras and a happier mindset. Im looking forward to coming here again. Karen was quick, friendly and very attentive. Id recommend her for your sizing needs.

She was able to work within my budget to help me find four wonderful bras and matching underwear that have proven to be extremely comfortable and stylish.I have trouble finding bras in the sizes I need with a small band/large cup size and will definitely be coming back to Town Shop very soon!

I visited Town Shop yesterday, in need of new bras. I hadnt been in awhile - but its always my go to place for great bras and fittings. This visit was the best yet! Karen is an all around great resource. She determined my size very quickly, and kept within my budget. I highly recommend The Town Shop - everyone there is terrific, but if Karen is available when you go, ask for her!

Needed a fitting for a strapless bra. Was waited on right away, fitted with a bra that it seems was made for me!!! Karen could not have been more delightful or professional. It is so nice to receive this level of customer service, this is why I come here to shop for lingerie.

Its been on Broadway near its present location for my whole life, and thats a while, folks. One of the few remaining stores from the Upper West Side, when it was still the real New York.

Pre-covid, Town Shop was great. Went today and sales clerk refused to honor my request to distance, coming in the very small fitting room and pulling on straps, etc. She also intentionally brought me bras that were the wrong size, saying you’re not the size you think you are, then when the bras she brought didn’t fit, said well I guess you are a 34. I understand they have to see you in the bra to help select the best one, but those were just unneeded extra interactions in light of covid. When I left (without a bra - frustrating!) she yelled that it was my fault that I didn’t find a bra because I was concerned about covid. She yelled this so loudly that three other attendants stopped helping customers and stared.

I showed up at the Town Shop minutes before closing and a super friendly woman named Karen convinced the awesome store manager, Kelly, to stay open to allow me to buy a bra. Despite the fact the store was supposed to be closing, Karen spent a tremendous amount of time with me and was very honest about which brands, styles, etc. she felt fit me vs were not right for me. Not only did they stay open an extra hour to accommodate me, they were extremely understanding and flexible with all of my needs. I have already told all my family, friends, & colleagues and now telling you - I would highly recommend this place and especially Karen to anyone looking for a fabulous fitting!

Such nice staff. Just left from a maternity fitting where she did not upsell at all, was totally honest and said when to come back to get fitted for nursing bras. She only brought sale bras because she knew when my size would change. Highly, highly recommend.

The best that there is. I haven’t shopped anywhere else since moving to NYC 10 years ago. Fitters know their stuff and buyers source the best. Always new merchandise and great selections. I usually go for bras, tights, and bathing suits but know that if I need pajamas or even socks they source the best brands from around the world. They have good sales but this is one of few stores that I’m happy to pay full price at because I could not find the service or selection anywhere else and I genuinely want this store to be around forever. 💗

I was fitted by Micky (spelling?) and it had been WAY too long since I had been properly fitted, but after a number of way too awkward let me fit you at the front door of shops that will remain unnamed (cough... Victorias Secret), it wasnt an experience I sought out. I pulled it together and after checking other reviews, I stopped by Town Shop and the experience was amazing and frankly... my ladies look and feel fantastic! Micky was an expert at making the experience comfortable and brought a great selection. I didnt even have to shop the store... she brought the store to me. Theres a great range of selection and the customer service is the best Ive ever experienced. And honestly, there was no up sell pressure, but the fit and the styles were so great I ended up buying so much more than I had intended. I basically overhauled my bra drawer in one visit. I wont ever go anywhere else. Highly recommend.

The bra fitting here was a game changer. The fitting specialist I worked with was absolutely delightful. So helpful with answering my questions and giving recommendations. We were able to find several perfect fits out of a huge selection within their store. I cannot understate how great it is to have a bra that fits well and if youre looking for a great fitting, this is a place to try for sure.

I went for a bra fitting and the woman didnt fit me properly. I ended up buying 2 bras - a black one and white one - same size, same company. The bras are way too big. Since I do not live in NYC and I wont be able to make it there before the 15 days for the return policy are over, Im losing $250. So much for the great fitting and amazing reviews. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. I would NOT RECOMMEND this place.

Since the first time I walked into the Town Shop, a couple of decades ago, Ive never bought a bra (or bathing suit) anywhere else. The bras I need are a hard-to-find size, but the fitters have always gotten it right, and I know Im getting excellent quality for my money. Wonderful selection of lingerie and swimsuits! The employees are also very helpful and knowledgeable on bras, panties, everything. I came specifically looking for comfortable, nude, panty-line free underwear (boring, but necessary). I left knowing the perfect brands for future underwear purchase. The store is very clean and well organized. They are also pet friendly, so if you want to bring your pooch, it will be welcomed with open arms. The prices can be a bit high, but they do have a sale rack if youre willing to dig. Definitely recommend.

Literally cried tears of joy when I got home from this store. Denise brought me a million different bras to help me find the perfect one, which has been a nightmare for me for years. Officially in love with this store. Very cute stuff, plus insanely great staff. I was fitted by Bebe, who is apparently a magical bra fitting goddess. A 45 second conversation and a quick look at the girls and that was all she needed. Perfection.

Was in the City just visiting and had heard about the Town Shop and thought I would go in and just take a peek. Well it was a great experience. Not just for ladies who are big on top. Have always thought I was a life long 36B. But having someone who knows what they are doing and assessing the bra I was wearing and telling me what the issues were was amazing. She brought me a 34C and I immediately understood what she was saying. What a difference. She gave me several options and made me feel very comfortable with the whole experience. Reasonably priced at $57. Dont hesitate - just drop by!

Came here to get fitted after a mediocre experience at Nordstrom. This place was wonderful! She gave me a tutorial on what i should be looking for in fit and why my current bra wasnt cutting it and how a bra should be sitting. Then she gave me a bunch to try until we got the right size. I wasnt originally far off from my real size but it made such a difference in how i looked! Then she brought in different styles and let me try them at my leisure but checked in, especially since i was still getting used to adjusting the straps properly. In the end, great experience and no pressure to buy a bunch since i told her my budget. Will definitely come back!

This is the best lingerie store I have had the privilege of visiting.They have really beautiful lingerie for every size. I mean lovely, well built, elegant and sexy lingerie for up to a 44 band size. Finally those with a difficult size have a wonderful place to go treat themselves.All of the fitters who work there are marvelous and an emotional teenager in her first bra will have just as great an experience as an emotional mastectomy patient. Ive had the good fortune of being fitted by most of their team and I would highly recommend every one of them.Some of their bras are very expensive but you get what you pay for and if you take the time to take care of them, theyll last a long long time.This is the kind of family owned business that makes the UWS the wonderful place that it is and the lovely family that runs is has done so (beautifully) for generations. If you want a game changing bra and to support a marvelous local institution, this is your place.

Totally excellent experience. Sick of getting in the door and the first thing I do is take my bra off. My husband found this place whilst researching a vacation (visiting from the UK) and what a find. Fitted by Eddy, who was a complete sweetheart, patient, and pragmatic. No tapemeasure involved, estimated size correctly entirely by look (and exactly as advised from previous similar fitting some years back here in the UK). Tried an extensive collection of styles, before finding 2 that are perfect. Delighted to say that back home I have been in them morning till night, taking them off at bedtime - a first for many years. Already thinking we might vacation in NYC again next year just so we can come back. Thank you Eddy.

The first 5 to 10 minutes of my visit probably rated a 3 and I was contemplating leaving. When I walked in, they were fairly busy, but shortly after, several employees finished their transactions, yet never came to check on me. As it was my first time in the store, I didnt know how best to get what I needed, and perhaps its on me that I was too shy to ask for help, but 3 employees stood around gabbing, avoiding eye contact with me, to the point I almost left. Then an amazing employee named Alison walked up and changed my entire view, not only of the store, but of shopping for bras! Her patience, professionalism, and expertise were unparalleled and amazing and I cant say enough about her. She is the reason this store deserves 5 stars for me! Beautiful products, although can be very pricey, but seems a worthwhile investment.

Town Shop offers great service, good selection, and competitive prices. The staff is helpful and makes bra shopping feel like less of a hassle than it might otherwise. I highly recommend it, especially if you wear a larger or specialty size that cant be easily purchased from most chain shops.

I walked in and it was the best experience Ive ever had shopping for a bra. I learned that Ive been wearing the wrong size for actually, most of my life because I didnt know how a bra should fit. But, Cait was patient, professional and is really skilled at her trade. We must have tried on 8 different bras till we found the ones that fit properly. She taught me how to wash them (dont put them in the washing machine, just soak in the special soap, wring and dry), and care for them. I bought 4. A little on the pricey side, but, I wear the hell out of my bras so, taking care of them will make them last a very long time. Im grateful to have walked into this store and met with the wonderful people who work here.

Younger, bustier ladies: do not go here. I had two instances where they fitted me and sold me the wrong size - even after telling them over an over that it just didnt feel right, I was still pushed to buy the bras they sold me. Still kicking myself for that, since they were Panache and expensive. Lo and behold, they sold me bras that fit women of my size who were many years older than I and had more issues with sagging. And so I would spill out the top and my bras bunched up at the bottom. Horrible. Shame on me for buying those bras, but shame on you for not listening to your clientele when they seem ambivalent about a major purchase.I still went back (and I am, again, still kicking myself to this day!) The lady who helped me immediately realized the issue and apologized. She sold me another underwire bra that fit much better - one I purchased with the purpose of 1. having a hard cup (not having issues when its cold) and 2. being supportive. Well, it works for 2 but 1 is still lacking. Im going to be buying my bras online from now on.

Pricey but worth it. First of all, my bra fitter looked at me and told me my size then she actually measured me and she was spot on. I winded up buying a bra for $150 by Prima Donna. I was a little worried about buying a bra for that much at first but since it for so well I gave it a chance. After months of wear the wire snapped-that hurt.... I was so upset about my bra being ruined that I contacted Pat at the store. She told me that I could either drop by the store and bring in the bra or mail it asking to fix it-I mailed it in. 2 weeks later I get my bra in the mail and it is like NEW! This place is amazing and the service is terrific.
