I called Polar Pete to discuss the installation of a ductless heating and AC system for my cape cod style home. They were able to schedule an appointment for Jared to walk thru my home and discuss what would be needed within a few days of my call. I agreed with everything that he suggested and I decided to proceed with the install. We completed paperwork over the next couple of days, parts were ordered, and within 2 weeks of my initial appointment my entire ductless system was installed. The entire crew was friendly, professional, and polite. They walked me through the use of the system and explained everything they did. They were even great with my dogs and cat. I am very satisfied with my system and am looking forward to saving on my heating and electric bills in the future.

Skilled installation, great customer service!Polar recently replaced an oil-fired steam boiler with two Bosch inverter heat pumps (one in attic and one in basement) and a Daikin mini-split. We were very pleased and would HIGHLY recommend them.Jared (co-owner) and his installation team were highly skilled, courteous, and friendly. The installation required many different skills, and the team seemed highly trained and worked well together. Jared was present during critical phases, and John, who led the team when Jared was not there, communicated well, fixed anything we were concerned about, and was a jack-of-all-trades (comprehensive skills). The house is 1850’s and beams are not regular, so they worked with us to find places for vents and ducts when some of the planned ones did not work out. They cleaned up at the end of every day, and went over what was done. They worked late to get the job done, and John came back on his day off for a final cleanup and explanation of the systems.I also want to recognize Ray (co-owner) and the office staff. From the beginning, they were patient with questions and continually kept us informed. Polar has a no-interest financing arrangement with a bank, and is a certified Central Hudson clean heat installer. Polar did all the paperwork for the NYSEG/CH rebate, explained the bank arrangement to us, communicated when they needed signatures. At the end of the installation, they bundled ALL the paperwork (estimates, daily reports, rebate application, etc) together and emailed it to us!Polar is skilled, and pays attention to details and customer service! Highly recommend!

Yesterday Polar came out to my house to replace my very old furnace with a duel heating/cooling unit. Everyone was very professional, very clean and very creative on how to design certain aspects of the system that not only functioned properly but also looked good as well. It’s Day 1 so we’ll see how the system operates over time but the service install itself was excellent. I can’t speak for the other services they offer but if it’s anything like my experience yesterday you’ll be very happy with the result. I would highly recommend this company. Best of luck!

Finding a good and reliable contractor can be a stressful and scary exercise. Polar installed a ductless Fujitsu mini-split system in my house. The whole process was very informative. Knowing nothing about this type of system they not only came out and gave me an estimate but they explained everything I needed to know about this type of system. They also explained how it would be installed. They installed it very efficiently in about a day and a half. After installation was complete time was taken with me to explain how the system works and what I needed to know about maintenance of the system. Every worker with Polar was very professional and treated my property as if it was there own. I am very happy I decided to do business with this company.

I found this company by Google search, called and got a friendly live voice on first try. I explained I needed a Furnace Boiler maintenance service for my home and had a service appointment scheduled in about a week. They Called me the day before the service to remind me, and again an hour before the arrival time to say the service guy was on his way. A nice fellow arrived on time, performed a through cleaning, service, and test of my furnace in a little more than an hour and was on his way. They then followed up with an email of details of the parts and work performed emailing a detailed copy of my bill. We had issue with water running noise but cannot locate the point of problem. We called Polar Plumbing asking for the diagnostic work. Ray listened my issue patiently over the phone and tried to provide helpful hints for the possible causes of the problem. Unfortunately, none of the self diagnosing hints paned out. Then, he scheduled the work (not an urgent issue since no water leaking ) and waived the diagnostic fee.Mike came on time and was able to locate the problem within 5 minutes. The noise was caused by a toilet tank and bad valve. He also provided the estimate cost of the fix on site.Although, we did not move forward with the service due to our budget issue and the nature of the problem. Due to the professional attitude and courtesy they’ve shown, we will definitely consider them for future plumbing work.

I heard about Polar from a moms group on Facebook. So many people recommended them I thought I would give them a try. They didnt disappoint. I needed CAC serviced and ducts cleaned. After examining my boiler and testing my water, I needed additional work. They caught things I didnt notice, especially the boiler. I highly recommend them - very professional, clean, and most importantly honest. They never made me feel like they were over-pricing me or trying to sell me on something I didnt need. When everything was done they followed up and made everything super easy, even helped me with the zero % financing. I had central/heat pump installed up stairs with two mini splits/heatpumps down stairs.. Polar came in much cheap than 3 other competitors and the quality of work is excellent. My only regret is not getting my system installed earlier..

Contacted polar because a friend recommended them, and what a great experience! My A.C compressor crapped the bed, 3 days before the first heat wave of the year. After talking to them, came and gave estimate the next day, so knowledgeable and professional they showed me that fixing an old unit, between cost and efficiency, it wasn’t worth it. So 2 days later I had new unit running, with a heat pump, for about 2/3 what I expected it would be. The install tech took his time and did a great install going as far as moving the grass sod from new location to dirt under old unit! That tech did not leave before I had a great understanding of how my new system worked! So let me be a friend and recommend them to you.Thanks again polar!

Company works very well as a team, one member came and got electric ready, second crew put ductless unit in and worked clean and safe and extremely fast. Very polite and professional while they worked with my wife and two kids home. I have talked with both owners who are very helpful and quick response with calls. Owner also came out to help with fixing the current central air unit to find that I had a bigger problem then expected, in which they did not force the most expensive option. They gave me all options first. Going through with second job with them in less then a week and couldn’t be happier. Pricing is very reasonable vs these big company that kill you with fees. My boiler stopped working on a Saturday night before a holiday weekend. I thought I could get someone handy to fix it but after 2 days, I realized it wasnt going to happen. I called my first boiler company on a Tuesday who diagnosed it and gave me an estimate to fix. The estimate was so high I knew it would make more sense to replace it. I interviewed 3 companies on a Wednesday. I chose Polar Plumbing because they were the only ones that quickly gave me my options without trying to oversell me a system I didnt need. I contacted them at 3:30 that Wed and they immediately contacted my town to get the necessary permits. They convinced the town that it was an emergency and by Fri. I had a new boiler, water heater system. I was extremely impressed at their professionalism. They explained everything to me in a way I could understand. I would and will recommend them to anyone who has the need.

I am extremely pleased with the work that polar plumbing heating and air conditioning replacing my condenser. They responded to my request quickly. And in a professional manner. The installers arrived on time, explained everything to me. I highly recommend .

Had my furnace lock out on me and wouldnt reset. Called up Polar, spoke to Ray and was able to have the issue fixed within a couple of hours. Ive never written a review before, but let me say that they installed a new water heater and boiler and it looks........ PHENOMENAL and it works really well. They worked with my schedule and which was great because now i have heat and hot water. They did not leave until everything was done. November 1, 2020Polar Homes Services: “They wont let you down”.When we bought our home earlier this year Polar installed a new heating and water purification system. All seemed well in the world. As this is our second home, and with the Covid outbreak, we did not return until 4 months later only to discover that the sump pump failed and tripped the GFI circuit shutting down our entire water purification system. The sulfur odor was back big time.Polar offered a solution as a first step at a reduced cost to us to correct the situation. It appeared to have worked at first, but days later the odor returned and began to worsen. We were very frustrated as was the Polar co- founder Ray Hedrick and his team. He stayed with us the entire way and recommended a new effort that would change out the hot water heater elements, filter and soak the entire system with chlorine once again, at no additional cost to us.Unfortunately, the sulfur odor returned in a few days. Obviously, something else is going on. Ray contacted the equipment providers to develop a plan of attack. On August 19th. new additives were introduced into the system to kill the sulfide bacteria. Right now the odor is gone. Keeping fingers crossed. Sadly this solution did not hold, the sulfur odor returned in 3 days.Ray, undaunted, developed a next step plan that included the presence of the rep for the equipment involved. That week, the rep and Mike from Polar set upon their fix. The rep introduced new Ozone technology that he claimed to be more effective than chlorine in neutralizing sulfide bacteria. This new component was installed and the system drained once again. Odor is gone for now (13 days), we are holding our breath.Polars efforts exemplifies what true customer service is and they clearly went the extra mile to satisfy a customer and stand by their guarantee. They absorbed the additional cost to modify the system and kept us informed during the entire journey.If you are looking for a plumbing service that stands by their work and product, you can find none better than Polar Home Services. Excellent customer service with Ray and Jared; respectful, patient, knowledgable, and professional. And the crew who installed the new furnace/AC system- led by John - was equally professional. They did a great job with the installation, cleaned up and left the area as they found it, and installed 2 Nests and took the time to explain its functions . Polar Pete had the best price based on 3 estimates and they have a great payment plan with 0% interest. I highly recommend!

I don’t write testimonials often, but this had to be written. Ray, Jared and crew did wonderful work. There was constant communication and there was never a question. They were on top of everything. My prior contractor quit mid job, leaving us without heat. Companies came in and provided estimates. The estimate costs were similar, but the scope of work to be done differed. Polar Plumbing explained what work was needed; it was more than the other companies said, but the price was still the same. We came to an agreement, started the work and ran into additional problems. Polar made the changes and stayed within the same time period. I recommend Polar to everyone in need of lumbing/Heating service…Remember “The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of a low price….”

They seriously knocked it out of the park. They removed some old plumbing that was causing a smell and added a new return. The entire team takes pride in their work and do a great job of cleaning up any mess made. Highly recommended Polar Plumbing A+++++++

Great company to work with,they installed central air conditioning in my house and it turned out beautiful.done as scheduled,very clean and neat work,the whole crew that work for polar are all knowledgeable of equipment and answer any questions I had.again I can’t say what a great crew of guys they have doing the installations .would highly recommend polar as a company to look into for your central air conditioning needs.

I cant say enough positive things about my experience with Polar. Their service was excellent, from figuring out what equipment we needed, scheduling the job, to the actual installation. They set up both heat pumps in one day! Theyre incredibly organized, friendly, and knowledgable about how the equipment functions in our circumstances.Even after the job was over, Ray took the time to review again the warranties, town permits, and rebates available . So far, the equipment is running beautifully. I would highly recommend them for any HVAC service.
