Good coffee spot right in the downtown Newburyport area. Inside is nice, clean and spacious and they have a few outside seats out front. Staff was young college people and all were nice and friendly. Overall the coffee and croissant I had were good and I’ll be back again I’m sure.

Great selection of coffee and tea. I didnt order any food so I cant speak to that, but I witnessed the staff deal with a rude pushy customer and they were unbelievably patient and polite the entire time, long after I wouldve lost it on the guy! I wanted to yell at him for them but I didnt want to make the situation worse.

The service was absolutely terrible. We ordered 3 bagels. The place had 4 baristas with few customers and it took 25 minutes. They gave us the last bagel that apparently had been already sold. That customer had been waiting for 30 min and decided to get her money back. Someone needs to train that staff.

Very accommodating and friendly but my iced coffee wasn’t very good. There was a long line so it could have been rushed. I’d still give it another try.

Excellent coffee and espresso, friendly staff, and the only cafe in Newburyport that offered indoor dining during the phased reopening following the lockdown.

I ordered two sandwiches - a cold chicken salad sandwich and a hot turkey one. When we ordered, only one other person was waiting for food. We then waited 30 minutes for two sandwiches when the only other customers coming in the store were ordering coffee and we could see there were three people in the kitchen. I finally asked how much longer our sandwiches would be and was told a few more minutes. There was no explanation or apology. The cold sandwich was okay, but the hot one wasn’t even hot. It was really bizarre and very disappointing.

Green monster 👹 smoothie is key.Its a meal and a great alternative to a coffee.Under $6 too!The extra portion left in the blender?...donate it to another customer as a taste test sampler.Oh, and dont bother Kevin when hes making$hark Tank decisions with the boss lady. 🕵️👩

My wife and I visited Newburyport for the night and was looking for a local coffee shop and after reading all the positive reviews chose The Coffee Factory and they did not disappoint! The vanilla iced latte is delicious! The barista was very friendly and we shared a nice conversation. Glad to know where to get coffee whenever I’m in Newburyport!

I live in NBPT frequenting this place for coffee but thats where I have to put the brakes on. Try and try again the sandwiches are horrible not to mention (along w/reviewer below) I waited almost an HOUR for a grilled cheese sandwich - no exaggeration!!! First attempt was still somewhat cold, not melted at all nor any browning of bread. Asked to grill some more, instead re-made sandwich - WHY??? Guess what, same exact thing, under grilled! They did refund the sandwich and insisted another chance to correct. Yup, remade a third one instead of just grilling either the first or second one more. The excuses, she just started a few days ago - then train better or do it yourself because ultimately was it worth the bad review or actually losing a couple of customers hiring a kid to save a few bucks instead of someone w/experience? The other sandwich brie, fig, and apple was also poorly made as well, under toasted, bread seemed stale. We want to support small business but monitoring quality needs to be in place and unfortunately it is too late for us, especially when there are other cool coffee houses to choose from.

The best coffee Ive ever had plus a very filling bagel sandwich. Nice and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Ive gotten coffee at this location under many different names. Its always been good, and the tradition continues. Bonus points for having biscotti, and good biscotti at that.

Fantastic espresso and great latte drinks (the baristas are all super nice too). I recommend getting a Cortado and sitting by the window!!!

Great spot for hand food and coffee, but service is always slow.

I waited 25 minutes for a simple grilled chicken pesto sandwich. TWENTY FIVE MINUTES!! And no one was apologetic to me or the other 5 people who were forced to wait an unreasonably long time for their food. I had a similar experience there about 3 months ago and figured it was an off day. The place is cute and has some good lunch options but they really need to step up their service game. People are coming in on their work lunch break, they expect faster service from a place thats serving sandwiches.

Love their bagels but they take far too long to wait for. The wait here is unbearable.

Vibe is great but found the staff (two younger ladies) to be very rude.

This is my favorite coffee shop in Newburyport! It’s a go to almost every morning before work. Everyone is always so friendly which is an excellent way to start the day! Relaxing atmosphere and plenty of space, would definitely recommend.
