Dont waste your time going to this place if you have anything of value to sell I brought in at least 150 old madallions from the 1800s to early 1900s I thought that Tami would be an expert on madallions and coins but she definitely proved me wrong She wouldnt offer me anything for a couple of beautiful 1917 Type I Standing Liberty quarters either She suggested that I go to the Long Beach coin show Well I knew that already I think she just didnt want to do business with me because Im sure that she thought that I had Ill gotten gains Im not a thief I proudly purchased every single one of those medallions and coins But of course she just cant come out and tell me Which I wish she would have Well anyway it was her loss I found someone that knew his profession He gave me top dollar I thought that I was going to make a very nice purchase from Tami But I will never go back there Waste of time and I will just keep wondering to my self HOW DOES SOMEONE LIKE THAT STAY IN BUSINESS That is a real baffler to me Well I hope that I gave you potential victims out there some knowledgeable information about Tami at London Coins God Bless
Sold several gold coins. Had a great experience. Very easy to work with, super fair pricing, totally legit. The day after my sale, I received an email from the owner that she was able to sell a couple of the coins for more than she had valued them for me. So she (completely unsolicited by me) sent me a check for an extra $600. Could not be more pleased or recommend her any more highly.
Most unprofessional place ever! Called the day prior and told to come in. Upon arrival I was turned away for not buying 500 + ounces of silver. I agree with other reviews that customer service like this, is unacceptable and should not be used for business! Go to another company that has professional standards and cares about its customers. Good bye forever. Ill be sure to spread the word about the treatment.
I must admit, I was a bit reluctant to go the appointment I had made with Tami after reading the other reviews on here. I had already gone to two other dealers, both of which had really high reviews, and things did not go well with them. So, I was very apprehensive when I showed up at London Coin Galleries Newport Beach - after all the gold and silver coins I wanted to sell were pretty much my entire inheritance from my mother who passed earlier this year.To my surprise, this time things went really, really well. First off, Tami has got to be one of the kindest, honest and sincere women I have ever met. That said, she doesnt beat around the bush and tells it straight like it is....honesty. However, I can tell that she would never deliberately hurt or insult anyone, rather she doesnt sugar coat what she wants to say and that may come across less than savory to some. But let me point out that your ire at her demeanor, is your issue not hers.Professionally, she dealt with me much, much better than either of the previous two dealers had, and in the end offered more money than they did. Look, when youre dealing with Gold, Silver and Money...it is much more important to have someone who respects your possessions and behaves in a manner that does not bring you stress. Both of the other two dealers quickly grabbed all my coins and one disappeared to another room, while the second shuffled all the coins behind a counter where I could not see them. I lost about 1/2 an ounce of gold between the two previous experiences and found out too late to do anything about it.Tami, on the other hand, deals with you in a private room, where all the coins are laid out on a table in front of you. She removes nothing from the room without your permission...in my case it was only 1 coin that she needed to research. She weighs, classifies, and tests everything right in front of you so you never loose sight of your possessions. She is very direct and will gladly tell you where the value lies in what you bring her. She did not buy everything I brought and I was very OK with that because she explained that there was no value to some coins.Without hesitation, I would gladly bring anything of value to Tami and trust that I would get: 1) an honest evaluation, 2) respectful treatment and 3) a fair price. What more could you want? And Tami, I am so sorry for having pre-judged you before we met. It appears that at this age I am still making childhood mistakes.
Very condescending, obnoxious woman who wouldn’t even allow me to finish a sentence!!!! Not worth investing your $$$$ here folks. Find another place you get treated like a person... I’d give a zero rating if allowed.
Great service! Fast, professional and reasonable.
Great people to work with. Reasonable markups on gold, good availability of products. Highly recommend.
Came in to value the collection of coins my family gave me and I got a great offer. I dealt with Tami the owner, the visits are by appointment only and she spent a good amount of time looking a everything and explained along the way. I will highly recommend.
Came in to shop and met with the owner Tami, very friendly and awesome unique finds. I purchased 5 silver items and very satisfied with my unique find and fair price. Took time to chat about the various rarities displayed in there, never seen anything like it. Very cool place to shop for that one of a kind piece.
Very rude. The woman who answered the door was snarky and extremely standoffish. She said by appointment only come back tomorrow for walk in. Nowhere does it say appointment only. It was not posted on the door. Just needed to get a few ounces of silver for a birthday present. It would have taken no more than 5 minutes.
Rude, Rude woman!!! I will never step foot in this establishment again. The blonde woman offered distasteful, offensive, service. She is by far the most ill-mannered individual I’ve ever done business with! Do not waste your time!!!!!
Lady needs to learn manners!!
I have had fantastic experiences with London Coin Galleries.I am in charge of liquidating the assents in a trust for a dear friend.Tami Dickason, the owner, was knowledgeable and honest. She listened to my needs and gave straight answers.I had coin collections and bags of jewelry. Tami took the time, going through each item and explaining the process. I never felt like I wasnt getting the top quote as I have at other places. Not only did London Coin Galleries go above and beyond professionally, the meetings were also fun and educational for me.Whether you have multiple items of high value or random questions, you will be treated with the same professional attitude. And if you are looking to enhance your own collection of rare and precious coins and collectibles, London Coin Galleries has facinnating items for sale.Highly Recommended!!
I needed an appraisal for insurance of an ancient coin set in a ring. Tami was very knowledgeable about the item and completed the appraisal professionally and efficiently. I recommend Tami at London Coin very highly for your appraisal needs.
Bad attitude for the lady at the front desk. Was in an awful mood. High prices. Definitely would not recommend this company whatsoever. I was already hesitant based on the reviews.
Love this place with lots of antique products, yes expensive but worth it.
Best place around to buy coins. Really friendly owner especially when you and the owner lady connect on all the same levels with the same styles and types of coins. Took time out of her day to meet with my wife and I and made an amazing connection with us. Worked out some great prices and made some sweet deals. Will definitely be back next time were in town. This shop really out does all the rest in southern california. A definite stop for any coin, bullion or mineral collectors. Thank you for everything.
Beautiful unique items are in this gallery. Big selection to choose from and a lot of historical relics. Found it by accident and very happy I did, will sure come back.
Absolutely horrible experience here folks. Avoid, go elsewhere. Tammy (blonde woman) is totally rude and obnoxious and I am done with her for good. My brother and I have been going to this shop a few times per year for the last 5-6 years and we have purchased items (we collect rare old US paper money) many times, probably $5-10k in purchases total. Lately — last few times — Tammy is who has been “helping us” (if you can call it that) and while she hasn’t exactly been a joy to deal with, she was tolerable/ok up until today. While walking up to the shop, we noticed she was outside, right in front of the entrance, talking to someone. When she saw us, she rudely said to us, “OK guys, what are we doing here today?” We were baffled because we hadn’t even entered the shop yet. Before we could answer “we came to look at some paper money,” she exclaimed, “because if it’s going to be the same as last time, I don’t have time for that, you need to just leave” with a really angry and sour look on her face. She turned around, went inside the shop and shut the door behind her. My brother and I had to just walk back to our car after driving all the way there from Orange. On our last visit, we spent some time looking at the paper money albums (probably 20-25 minutes) and ended up buying two (2) notes for like $180 total. I still have the receipt. So while in the car in the parking lot, I called the shop and spoke with her, saying, “we don’t know what you are talking about, last time we were there we bought two items and most of the time, almost always, we buy stuff.” She said, “last time you were here you and your brother looked at our paper money album for an hour and didn’t buy anything!” Well - Not true, we did buy something, two notes to be exact, and secondly, even if we didn’t, that is no way to treat any potential customer. We didn’t deserve to be treated that way. We spend thousands per month on our hobby and are two of the most serious collectors in the whole country. Now, we are going to vote with our feet, take our business elsewhere and never return to this sad place. I strongly recommend others to do the same, if they are at all interested in being treated with respect. Also - prices are too high to be honest. Like 10-50% over “market value.”
I was in town on vacation from Denver and scheduled to stop in to purchase bulk gold and silver coins. I was received with an overtly condescending woman who was also being rude to the older gentleman in there buying gold Eagles. I was wearing beach clothing so I assume she thought I wasnt a real buyer? Ive been to three London Coin Galleries. This one does not and should not represent such an iconic institution. I guess Ill go back to JM Bouillon.
Tammy really low balled me for my world coins. She said she could only pay me for their silver content which is complete BS in my book. Ill just sell them somewhere else. This will be be my first and last time here at this joke of a business.
The lady is a bit rude. They dont pay enough for coins either. I like Tangible Investments on PCH in Laguna Beach much better
Always a pleasure doing business with London Coin Gallery particularly Tami Dickason, when selling rarities I usually go to Tami, fast, fair never a problem. A#1
Don’t go here. Rude, condescending and too busy to deal with someone not spending thousands of dollars. I was told, “we only deal in bulk and I’m busy”.
Rip off!!! UNFRIENDLY!! UNHAPPY!!! WOW!!! Will never go here again...BTW the owner was the one I spoke with.... Bad attitude!!
Over priced, and mean owners.
