Patti is the customer service extraordinaire! She is friendly and engaging. She offered needed products. She goes the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction. The facility is well-maintained. Classes are offered as well. This is the place to learn sewing and knitting skills. Tidewater Sew-Vac offers sewing machine tune-ups.

My experience was great! The staff were helpful and made sure I purchased the correct product for what I needed. I also received helpful tips for greater success with my cleaning process!

My first visit, I had so much fun walking through the aisles will definitely come back but the lady who waited on me wasn’t want very cordial or helpful. That’s especially a problem with Sunshine Quilt just 5 minutes away where they welcome you as you come in the door and order to help you find things. I’ll be back

I arrived after business hours on Saturday and as I was preparing to leave a man pulled up. I thought he was another customer however he worked there and after finding out what I wanted he opened the store and I was able to purchase the vacuum cleaner bags that I needed. It was an old vacuum cleaner and I was not sure that I would find the bags. Great customer service. Saturday hours are different from other days

Brought in my simplicity after a month of having horrible suction 😔 was greeted with kindness, and energy! Also everyone was wearing masks which in this day you’d understand a whole new level of customer service to be cared for! My vacuum was looked over quickly and did a test run and they told me exactly what was wrong and I have to say Deb and Brian really helped. I picked up my cleaned vacuum the next day without spending an arm and a leg! Bless them and their kindness for this old soul that wouldn’t know how to fix it alone!Five stars!

I cannot say enough good about Tidewater. We brought our sewing machines for service for several years and when my daughter gifted my Mom with a Singer Featherweight at a yard sale we brought it in as the wheel didn’t budge and they were able to fix it. Be it sewing supplies, vacuum cleaner bags, scissor sharpening, or even a class, every one has been helpful.

I have had excellent service everytime I visit the Newport News Tidewater Sew Vac. There is a worker named Debbie and she is always helpful and helps me with my sewing machine problems.

They said there was a sale on new machines but they sold me a defective used machine. Customer service is a joke and now I have to sue to get my money back. Buyer beware!

We had a wonderful and relaxed experience doing for our new vacuum. The owner and staff were incredibly knowledgeable and patient. We found our dream vacuum (Simplicity S40), but waited a few months to buy it. There was no pressure from the salesman. When we came back our vacuum was on sale and the staff remembered us and our daughter. They put it together, showed us all of the bells and whistles again, went over the warranty and service, and we left happy with our favorite vacuum ever. Now we have a well made quality vacuum that was made in 🇺🇸🇺🇸America🇺🇸🇺🇸

I recently took my sewing machine in for repair and was pleasantly surprised to see theyd moved down the road into a building with lots of display room and natural lighting. Debbie couldnt have been nicer while she diagnosed the problem with my machine (turned out I was the problem, not the machine) and I was on my way in short order. Will definitely be coming back and am looking forward to taking classes.

This is absolutely the worst place to get anything!! The people working there do not care; there is no such thing as customer service!! I have waited months for a simple item...they ordered the wrong one, and then would not refund the cost, only exchange it.

Took my vacuum in for a warranty repair and their service was GREAT....They took care of dealing with the company and the replacement vacuum quickly and professoinally. 1 week later I had a brand new machine....Thank you guys and gals

Very kind and helpful. Took my Simplicity canister vac there for some warranty work. Had to wait a couple of days, but the repair exceeded my expectations and the vacuum is working like new. I will definatley return. Great experience.

My daughter took the beginner sewing class. Ms. J was a great instructor and definately is knowledgeable in her craft. I would definately recommend if you are interested in learning to sew.

Took my Dyson Animal Vacuum cleaner for a maintenance cleaning. Said it would be done in two to three business days. Called on third day to see if ready. She said she would work on it right away. Called around 5p to said it was ready for pick up. It was only vacuumed out and not fully cleaned. Would not keep to do the full clean that I prepaid for. Wont use them again. Very disappointing.

I just left out of this place. No one acknowledged me the whole time that I was in this store. I kept looking my around and the lady that was working in there walked past me several times and didn’t say a word to me. I guess my money isn’t wanted here! I will take my money elsewhere. I have my own business and customer service is very important to me!

I bought a Babylock Tiara II there 6 months ago and thought the manager was a little out of her element. I placed an additional order with her and it is now 6 months later and I still havent gotten it. I hate that I cant place an order for accessories without going through this store! If I had known that at the time, I would have ordered a HQ Sweet Sixteen online like I originally had planned. I wanted to give my business to a local store, but apparently they dont want it.

I have been a customer at this location since 2011 where I met the new Manager at that time, she has turned that store around 100% and anyone thinking she doesn’t know her business is totally wrong, my machines have worked like new every time I have them serviced, I highly recommend this store 👍

Great place, everyone has the knowledge to help. This place makes me feel welcome. I have bought 2 seeing machines, taken classes and am a member of the embroidery club. Shoutouts to Deberah Guthrie and Janet Hogge always there with a smile and support. Love this place. My husband calls it my home away from home.😀

The repair person was not a real repair perso. We did not even tell what was wrong before she said we are better off buying a new vacuum cleaner. She also said do not vacuum carpet fresh. Hummm not sure if she was qualified or not but we will not be going back
