7/22...sign posted in door “closed until further notice. Be safe.” Star rating doesn’t reflect my experience..it’s just not open right now. Wanted to let anyone know who might be making a special trip like I did to check with them beforehand to see if they’re back yet.

My record collection started here, in college. I suspect that at least half of my records in my collection come from American Oldies. Became good friends with lots of the guys that worked there. Miss it! Hope the staff is doing well and Ill be sure to visit soon.

One of my favorite places by far in Hampton Roads. Their selection is massive and the staff is super friendly. Even on days when I dont buy anything I always end up having a good conversation with the two guys that run the place. Pricing is A1 on their records and to be honest I usually end up leaving the shop with a couple of records cause of how inexpensive the place is. 100% recommend stopping by if youre ever looking for a good record store!

Love shopping here, especially for records, but have bought CDs here, too. Good quality and selection. Prices are reasonable. Records are well-organized. Please like my review if you found it was helpful.

Great record store with mostly nice people. I wish there was more punk and black metal selection on vinyl but I did find a Dark Throne record! He also gave us a good deal on cassette tapes which was rad. Everyone shop here for your vinyl needs and request some metal and punk vinyl. This way everyone doesnt have to drive all the way to skinnies. Which a lot of my friends already do. I cant wait til the day they do this and I can up this 4 star review to a 5 star!

Definitely my favorite place to shop for records. Superb selection of classic rock, as well as other genres. However, they have the best selection of classical music of any record store I have been to. Great staff and great experiences with every visit.

Good record store in a record store desert. They may not have the records you want, but they have the records you need. Met multiple people working there and theyve all been friendly but respectful. Patrons there also always seem to be friendly

Lotsa old vinyl. Found some great old jazz and blues records here. If you decide to come here do yourself a favor and leave yourself some time for digging through the racks. Who knows what youll find.

Excellent selection of records, 99.9% older, used records in Good to Excellent/Mint condition. Impressive selection of jazz albums, everything very well-organized, easy to thumb through. Lots of CDs as well, and I believe there were some cassettes, but I did not browse any of those. Two nice, conversational guys working. Prices are fair.

Excellent service from everyone who works there. The staff is knowledgeable and eager to help. They have a huge range of music in all formats: 45s, LPs, cd, etc.

They have a TON of vinyl in every genre and I spend a lot of time there when I go. The guys know everything about all kinds of music. Every question I ask is answered. Would give it 5 stars if they sold some new stuff once in awhile.

Theyve got everything! And its well-organized. It makes shopping for vinyl a pleasure.

I love their range of albums they carry, from classic rock (Bowie, Rolling Stones, ELO) to Jazz. The atmosphere feels like walking into an vintage store, which i quite like. Would defintely recommend

I LOVE THIS PLACE ! I stopped in today and with out thinking I bought 2 of the same records. I called them back and with NO PROBLEMS replaced it with another I didnt have. I will tell all my friends about this store. They have a very large selection and buy sell and trade.. I will go back

So many records to go through here, I loved the store! My only complaint is they put the price stickers right on the cardboard record sleeve... So annoying!

I really like this place...... I been coming to this place since a teen-ager in the mid 90s. I love the atmosphere and the conversations that come up. Great selection in vinyl and CDs. Has a lot of hard to find old school r and b.

I’ve been buying my old records from this store since 1993. This is one of my favorite spots in Newport News va when l go down to visit family and friends.

Excellent customer service and a pretty impressive collection of vinyl. CDs are slimmer pickings depending on what you are looking for. But as music formats seem to cycle now... they will be back later with a vengeance.

Large collection of records amid a well organized collection of music . Great experience. Highly recommended for any serious record collector.

Im giving these guys 5 stars, first, for their helpfulness, and friendly staff. I was vacationing in Williamsburg and wanted to find a local spot to grab some records. Both the gentleman working on the day of my visit were way cool. The selection was well above average. I drained them of there best Neil Young records, a Kooper/Otis record and the guys threw in a free Record Store Day shirt they had left over. $54 score. I was on a budget and they totally worked with me. I could have easily spent hours and plenty of $$ on the stuff they had in the store. Great selection! I hope to return someday.MikeCharlotte, NC
