They keep having things you cant get anywhere else intown. Plus they still have employees in the Iles to help find things. Service seems to be a thing of the past anywhere else in box stores in Newport. To bad they dont have groceries.

I do like to shop these stores. However, this last time, my friend was buying planter pots, late in the season to get. Very confusing on what the prices were so by the time she went to pay it was more than what it indicated on the shelf.

Employees were Amazing!! They were friendly and we laughed and joked around while my husband and I were getting our fishing licenses. We will definitely come back again.

There always seems to be somebody available to answer the ridiculous number of questions I ask, and not once have I felt pressured to hurry through them. I always get as much help as I need to feel comfortable with my purchases.

I went on the store to purchase a new fishing rod, a reel, and a few packs of Berkeley baits. I wanted to use my happy birthday $10 off with a purchase of $10 or more coupon and I was told that my product werent valid with the current coupon. If I spend thousands of dollars at this place, why cant I get $10 off on my birthday as the coupon says?

Friendly and helpful staff, a little low on stock at times but for the most part they have what I want. Much better store than the Waldport location which are not helpful or friendly, well there is one very large man there that is just a jerk everytime Ive gone in, I now drive the extra miles to visit the Newport location.

My Friends, when purchasing a gun or ammo check the prices.Big price jump in the last 6 weeks. I was told they do not price match.I gave almost $ 200 more for a shot gun than it cost at S. WarehouseUp side is, large selection, with friendly staff

I went to Ace in Newport yesterday to buy myself a new chainsaw. The staff was friendly knowable and made sure I got the right saw for the work Im doing. Im more than happy with my purchase. This place is like a toy store. Packed with diy tools and products for inside and outside the home. Lots of fishing stuff too! Friendly staff on the floor to answer questions and help you find what youre looking for. Lots of fun just to go in and browse, you never know what you might find for the next diy project...

I called the gun desk twice trying to get them to send their FFL license to PSA. PSA doesnt have a listed email, only a contact form. I tried to read the relevant part of PSAs website to the person at the gun desk but was interrupted. I asked him to give me a chance to read it and was hung up on.I called Wesleys Trading Post and in 37 seconds I was done. I would not use Ace Hardware for any FFL transfers.The only reason Im putting THREE stars is because the extraordinary helpfulness of the employees when NOT doing FFL transfers.

Brings back customer service. theres almost too many people working here. Im not knocking that, just surprised is all! Its pretty bad when you find another name brand product in the same plaza thats cheaper and at your store than theirs! highly recommend this place and hope its here for generations to come!

Theres a whole lot of hardware packed in this small store; things you might not find elsewhere. It is not understaffed, and they are very friendly. Plenty of room to park, in a big shared parking lot with several other small stores and a big grocery store.

I thought they would be more expensive than the Walmart across the street for items related to crabbing. I was wrong. They were pretty comparable and in some cases they were cheaper. They also had several more options. I will definitely stop there again.
